REVIEWS OF Mount Rainier National Park IN Washington

Scandelis

Super legit place to visit. Nice parks and some damn decent off-road trails. Tons of little nooks to camp in near creeks, some fairly close to the road, if you like that kinda thing.

ben og

Saw a bear. Saw an owl. Saw a thing called a mountain beaver. My girl dubbed it the "prettiest hike she's ever done in North America". Really set the bar high by doing Rainier first day of our week visit.

Darrell Wynant

This place is amazing!!! I can't wait to ride my motorcycle here! Beautiful scenery, great roads and just amazing views!!!!

Rachael Indian

Mt rainier was beautiful. A glacier, amazing. Nice walk ways to go to the top, plenty of room for all. Sunshine's, flowers bloomed.

Patty Heany-Pillow

One of the best parks on Earth. Wonderful experience, everyone should have the privilege of exploring it at least once in their lives.

Eric Golde

I am not a hiking kind of guy. To be completely honest, my parents made me go. But I am very glad they did. It was a very beautiful place to see, and they have trails for every type of person.

Ankur Yadav

Very nice place for hiking if the weather is good. Recommended to visit in the summers between June - September months. Suggested trails- Paradise point and Sunrise points Scenic beauty can be experienced when the weather is clear. Summit hiking for Mount Rainier needs some preparation. Good camping sites!! #Glaciers #nature #mountains

Linda Owen

So worth the visit and the sites are amazing. The gorge just pass paradise lodge...wow..if you're thinking about it, do it!

Chrystal Cargill

This park offers breathtaking views. Many hiking trails and picturesque views. There are lots of opportunities to capture great pictures of Mt. Rainier at different angles.

Jaymi Fox

It was a clear day and Sunrise was majestic. We weren't prepared for the $30 fee to enter the park, but since it lasts for 7 days we might go back.

George Schendel

Absolutely beautiful scenery. You can take in the park in a single day, or you could spend an entire week exploring.

James A

Lucky to visit Mount Rainier on a beautiful summer afternoon. Clear skies and the views are breathtaking. We are very blessed to have such a majestic mountain in our backyard for all to visit and see.

Shannon Vanderwood

I go through here often! It's my weekend backyard and always love taking my family there!

My Otterly Weird Life

We go every year up to Paradise and love to walk the trails.. absolutely divine experience and the rangers have a lot of knowledge of the history of the park as well as some of the science.

Axel ulen

I've to Mt. Rainier many times, hiking, climbing and skiing. There are many sides and reflections of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Range Mts. The beauty cannot be described in words. One must visit all locations around the mountain to appreciate the grandeur of this active volcano.

Angela Chen

One of the most beautiful parks I’ve been too. My favorite area was Paradise - truly spectacular. It was unreal climbing above the clouds! The visitor center there was especially beautiful too.

Vignesh B

This was during September. The park was partially closed due to snow but Mt Rainer is beautiful every season there is so much happening during every season.

Mahaveera Pushparaju

Visited with family - hiked one of the trails (paradise) for a mile, beautiful views of landscape, waterfalls and snow covered mountains. Trails can be slippery due to snow and are mildly steep. Had lunch at the visitor center ( we got lunch on our drive into the national park). They do have some food options at the visitor center, seating is limited though. Parking lot gets full very fast and there is no cellphone signal in the area except at the visitor center. (P.S - gimme a like if u think this review was useful...

Tony Missall

This is a world class destination. If you go on the weekend you really need to be there by 10am or so in order to get a good parking spot. So many trails along the way to the top of Paradise that will take you through one of the most beautiful forests in the Pacific northwest. This place is a gem, and thankfully most people seem to treasure it by being responsible for their garbage and staying on the trails. There are more great viewpoints than you will want to take a picture from and many wild animals will be seen along the way. In the summer months wildflowers are in bloom and the breeze will carry the scent of potpourri. If you visit Washington and leave without visiting Mt. Rainier you will have missed an opportunity to see one of the world's finest destinations.

Neil Let's Just Leave It At Neil

The power went out in the visitor center and the backup generators failed. Bonus experience there. It was too foggy to see the mountain for our trip. The gift shop was ratherin size, and had a bunch of variety. The roads were well-maintained and windy enough for a little fun.

Ofelia Mendez

Absolutely beautiful!! My family loved it! So many hiking trails for all skill levels. They also have camping options available. I will definitely be going back to explore so more.

Ekta Aggarwal

Truly beautiful and amazing experience! It's a beautiful park to visit with nice campgrounds. Its has quite a few hike trails and interesting places to visit- creeks, glaciers, lakes, rivers, waterfalls. I went in the month of June and there was still snow there.

Katie Stuempfle

Beautiful! Big visitors center. Hiking trails to a few viewing spots. There is a good amount of growth happening now around the mountain. Huge parking lot with a food truck for burgers and hot dogs.

D.J. Daniels

Took all my friends from St. Louis to see the snow and wild flowers and I got say it is one of the most beautiful places I have been to in America. Had a great time hiking the multiple trails they have across the mountain. Well worth visiting for the day or camping.

Rambabu Kaipa

Volcano and national park.. What a great combination. Great day trip from Seattle. The drive, park, skiing (in season), snow, flowers, waterfalls, lakes, hikes, trials. You will enjoy it all. I have been in winter and spring as early as 1997-98 and as late as 2015. Enjoyed it every time.. Take all the equipment you need to make your trip enjoyable.

Geet Panda

The most beautiful national park I have ever been to. The scenery is excellent and has trails for all age groups. You would surely have a great time here. The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to start early to get decent parking space.

dylan lesher

Love taking a trip to Mowich lake and hiking to spray falls. Absolutely recommend taking the time to venture out and hike to the falls. You will not be disappointed.

Harald Ringbauer

One of the classic parke. The prominence of Mt Rainier is simply stunning. Great high alpine hikes!

Charles Gooss

Worth the long drive for the many beautiful hiking trails. Amenities are limited. Bring your own food and leave the dogs at home since they can't hike the trails with you.

Kwanini K.

It was a beautiful experience. It was too foggy that day and could not see well. But I still can tell that very beautiful!

Zohaib Abbasi

Beautiful park, couldn't see the biggest peak due to cloud so make sure sky is clear before going. Also there was nobody charging fees/tickets after around 5 or 6 PM

Teresa Carol

The air here fills my lungs and makes me feel alive again. I grew up in this area, so coming to the mountain brought me much Joy. It's like a walk down memory lane, where you can actually physically touch the moments.

Alex Pavlov

Do not go when it's cloudy, always check weather before plan trip, when cloudy it's such a fog, that visibility is limited to 60-80 feet. Also it's better not to go in weekend, very difficult to find parking spot. Have fun and be aware!

Heather Teske

Stunning park. Make sure to get there early to find parking. Most of the beginning of our hike was foggy, but it eventually cleared and the views were breathtaking. A must visit while in Seattle.

Glennys Cabrera Fret

We been here so many times! Great views, trails and get close with our beautiful volcano!

Walt S

Beautiful place. It was extremely crowded the day we went. 2 hours in line to enter the park at the gate we went through. Mountain is gorgeous! Watch the time if you want to eat in the restaurant at the visitors center. It closes in the afternoon between lunch and dinner.

Bon Manhkong

Love this place! Watch for cloudy conditions blocking Mount Rainier itself. Snow still on the ground in June as you get to Paradise! October is perfect. Columbus Day no one is there and it was a perfect gorgeous day!

Susan Steckler

Mount Rainier is simply the most beautiful place on Earth. I have lived and traveled all over the world. Nothing can beat the soaring peaks, flower covered meadows, stark alpine vistas and dramatic glaciers of Mount Rainier. As an added bonus, the local inhabitants are charming. The historic Paradise Lodge is fascinating. Sadly, the restaurant and food service options are pricey and dismal at best.

Laura Durand

We spent two days there and we felt it was the right amount of time in order to do some nice hikes and discover two different areas ( sunrise and paradise). Both were amazing and one day would have been too short. There was water and toilets at both visitor center and the rangers were again really nice and useful for recommending the best trails to do.

Rebecca S.

August is a fantastic time to see wildflowers and wildlife especially at Paradise! However it's also SUPER BUSY! Plan ahead and arrive early to get parking close enough your legs don't practically want to fall off after hiking the mountain then back to the car WAY down below in the bottom of the picnic parking area.

Samah Awad

Very beautiful natural forest to visit, hike or camp. Best to visit in the summer so you can access as much as you can. Visit in the winter to experience the snow in the wilderness but be aware that the top might be closed due to heavy snow.

Riza Seit

Incredible sights in this enormous park. Trails area well groomed. Recommend entering the park with plenty of supplies and gasoline.

Ric Law

Love this place. So many accessible hikes to choose from. At Sunrise do Sourdough Ridge, go all the way to the last hilltop, views are spectacular. Chinook Pass, dont miss Nanches loop trail, popular but worth it clockwise. And remember to support our National Park system and the great folks that work them by contacting your representative. These are treasures to be maintained.

Kyla Thyer

This park is absolutely gorgeous. Mt. Rainier has a fairly steep hike with different trails. The work is definitely worth the view at the top though. There is a small gift shop inside the visitor center at the base of the mountain. There are also pretty waterfalls in this park with short hikes that are child friendly.

Brandon Kuschel

We made a side trip here, and it didn't disappoint. There are many places where you can get great views.

Vorxy

Been here twice so far. Both times were overcast and never saw the mountain. That being said everything else we had to look at was absolutely amazing. Going back again for sure!

Megan Mundt

So many options with varying degrees of difficulty. We had the most fun at the Grove of the Patriarchs and Silver Falls. Paradise was pretty foggy.

R S

This is the park I wish I could have spent more time in. But I can tell you I've been in the park in all four seasons and each season impressed me above and beyond the season before. It's an amazing place probably one of the best parks in America I would go there before Yellowstone any day.

Dakota K

Mount Rainier is a beautiful place to be. It's not far from any of the Pacific Northwest attractions (Seattle, Portland, Olympic National Park) and you should definitely venture out here if you are coming out to the PNW. Hiking was great here, we mostly hiked around the visitor center, but the views and landscapes from anywhere are all gorgeous. I would love to return again and would highly recommend this to anyone heading out this way.

Michael Westenfelder

Love it here. I’ve been coming since the glacier almost touched the bridge.

Taylor Pemberton

Truly amazing! Love the park there is so much to see and do. Great place if you like little day hikes and aren't afraid to adventure. Great for small families too. Paradise Inn had a nice coffee shop and gift shop. Definitely a must see park of Washington. So much fun and so beautiful!

Linda Scott

Most people you meet are happy. This park feels like I imagine Eden would. Wildflowers everywhere, wildlife always present and beautiful trails and the lodge accommodates large groups! A lovely place to be ❤

Shambhu Viraktamath

Lucky are those who stay around and get blessed by mt.yakima aka Rainier. This active volcanic mountain has changed the landscape of this part of the world. Beautiful trails, seasonal wild flowers, well maintained national Park and facilities. Well equipped to stay overnight for star gazers.

Vova Kovbas

Absolutely loved this place! One of my best hiking spots for now! Be prepared, it gets really windy sometime.

Brianna Elder

BEAUTIFUL! $30 fee to get in. So many places to explore, we went to paradise. It is a lower elevation by has more waterfalls on the route.

Rob Stirk

What a gorgeous part of the world. Plenty of walks and beautiful views. Worth a visit. Lots of campsites in the area, and a few local restaurants but not many!

Heather Smith

So gorgeous. A few good short walks. Wish we could have had more time to do the longer ones.

Jake Quartuccio

It's an amazing park with great glacier climbing and backpacking. The meadows near Paradise are beautiful and well maintained by the park service.

John F

Extremely impressive place! I enjoyed every minute here. Trails were very well maintained. So many beautiful things to see!!

Leah Mitts

It is outstanding, full of God's beauty & I will hike again, camp out. I am marveled by the beauty of lakes & sites you can choose. Overlooking Mt Adams

Javad Pirzadeh

This is one of the most beautiful national parks that we have ever visited. The week before our visit, which was October 5th, the area received two feet of snow. That made our hike up the Skyline trail even more beautiful

Fiona Troth

This the best place that I know of in the US that brings you back to nature and makes you feel at peace especially when you are getting away from the city. The most beautiful place on Earth. Numerous hikes to go on and beautiful wildflowers. I highly recommend going to the ranger talks whether your camping or not. I've come here every year for the past 20 years if my life and there is always something knew to see and learn.

Alina Phoenix

Highlight of our trip to Seattle. Well maintained park, absolutely breathtaking over and over. Wish I had more time to spend here.

CR Baker

Very crowded. Very little seating. Visitor center had no information on any activities or facts of the mountain. Nature was beautiful. Drive was nice except for some speeders.

James Cole

This park is beautiful. I visited the Fremont fire lookout, and went up to the Burroughs. Some of the trails are dangerous since they are narrow and are on snowy, steep, loose rock faces. So be careful bringing children unless you know they will remain safe and not try to run, possibly tripping/falling! Don't feed the chipmunks because they'll bite ya!

Amber Finley

Avoid this place on the weekends. Overly crowded and parking is a nightmare. But during the week on clear days it’s absolutely breathtaking!

Grant

It is so beautiful in this area, and being surrounded by nature is an amazing feeling, especially when you are looking over all the trees at the top of a mountain. Its a once in a life time experience and I personally feel that everyone should go.

Gabrielle Oldfield

A beautiful park with tons of hiking. If you love wildflowers, come during the summer. You will NOT be disappointed!

Katlyn

It's definitely worth the trip. Make sure you arrive early though. You can easily spend all day here.

Swagata Shah

This place is seriously a paradise. Enjoyed small hikes. Restaurant at the visitor center has nice food n soups

Evelyn Villanueva

Super Beautiful and Peaceful. I had a great time and enjoyed my visit.

Ellie S

Visiting here made me feel so alive! This gorgeous National Park boasts plenty of hiking trails for short trips and day trips with exceptional views of Washington's highest peak. So much beauty and nature, it's mesmerizing. Can't wait to visit again!

Shea Engle

Truly amazing sights. Bring a nice camera for a nice day.

AL

One of the best national parks I have ever been to. We never felt like we were going to get lost, signs and maps available and along the route any splits in the trail were marked so you knew which trail you were going on. My family and I are from Michigan so even the drive to the trail head’s had unbelievable views. Yes, we were the people getting out of our car on the side of the road to take pictures. No shame in that. This was our first visit to Mount Rainier but it will definitely not be our last.

Alexis Fay

Try to get up here on a clear day and the beauty will leave you breathless. The air is so fresh and clean. I felt very connected to nature.

Charles W Basden

Beautiful as you might expect. And the weather was perfect the day we were there. We were able to see the mountains many times for many different perspectives. The drive was wonderful and we took a few small bikes and viewed quite a few waterfalls. We drove up to Paradise Lodge and then back down again. It’s definitely worth the time. Be aware that you will need a national forest pass to get in but you can buy that at the gate if you don’t have one already.

Kerrianne Waters

So many natural beauties. We only spent a day but we could have stayed for many!

Avery

One of the most beautiful gems in the northwest. Mount Rainier in my opinion is the most regal looking of all the Cascades. You will not be disappointed if you visit this park.

Shane Redenbaugh

It was a beautiful drive and the hikes we're fun and full of nature...only down side is the restaurant was closed for a party the lil museum was neat it was fun playing in snow during the middle of 80 degree day

Stephen Campbell

Spectacular! Splendid! Superb! Pick a superlative and it fits Mount Rainer. One of my favorite places. Glaciers and wild flowers - doesn't get much better and waterfalls, too.

Ronald Broyles

10 stars for Park -10 stars for restroom condition at summit of drive. Majestically Beautiful. This breath taking Park is only a short trip from the Tacoma area. You can see the Glacier from many view points on the road up. You can see Elk walking/ grazing on the road right next to you. This is a breathtakingly beautiful, almost unspoiled part of the Cascades. Well worth the drive. The restrooms at the summit however were terrible. The park service should be ashamed. It really makes them look bad. Well with the drive.

Mark Peterson

Mt. Rainier is one of my favorite national parks. It has so many varied ecosystems, but they are all absolutely beautiful. It is truly a bucket list experience.

Mikala Smikal

Such an amazing experience. Traveled from seattle to here and it was worth the drive. No cell service but it is so worth it to disconnect. Don't be afraid to ask the rangers what trails they recommend for your level of fitness. There is food and a gift shop. It was such an amazing experience. Watch for pedestrians and bikers while driving in the park.

Alex Larson

My first trip was stunning, and certainly not my last! There is so much to see and gasp and sigh at that one lifetime is not enough to fully appreciate Rainer's grandeur! Near the top of my list of parks, overall, but #1 on 'Parks that are Volcanic!'

Adela

We visited Mt. Rainier in August of 2018 last year and on the first week of October this year. It’s such a gorgeous area! We hiked the Skyline trail both times. But this time there was snow/ice/slushy melting snow on the ground. So it took us a little longer to complete the hike. But it was worth it! We also hiked the Comet waterfall trail and it was just as rewarding but you don’t see the mountain from there. If you go check the weather. The mountain is sometimes covered by clouds. We highly recommend this beautiful park!

Andi August

Beautiful despite cloudy cool day. Trek the trails, feel muscles working and enjoy the tranquility of Mt Rainier National park. This amazing natural world needs to be preserved forever. This wilderness is our sanctuary.

Bill Deschaine

What a beautiful place. Actually saw a black bear on the trail at the National park Lodge. I would recommend this park to everyone. Great views of Mt. Ranier.

Parag Patel

Incredible park. Not crowed! Pack layers as we we saw hot, cool, rain and cold in a 4 hr hike.

Paulo Maciel

Such a beautiful national park, the trees, the moss growing everywhere, and the beautiful views of the Mount Rainier are what make this park so incredible. Love going to Paradise. And regarding the trails, I was surprised by how long it took us to go through the Wonderland trail, haha.. Almost missed our flights back to SoCal.

Sophia Lee

This is a must visit place! We spent hours exploring the park, and there was still so much more to see. We visited in early May, so a few trails were closed off as well.

Robert Alberg

Mount Rainier National Park is a nice park to visit. Good campgrounds. Lots of hiking trails to hike on. Lots of interesting places to visit in the park and take photos of from creeks, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls.

Dasharatha Aduri

I have been there during the month of May 2019 and it was still covered in snow. Paradise point is the best spot to view the majestic Mt.Rainier. Once all the snow melts the flowers will start blooming and view will be more spectacular. Paradise point features a cafe point and souvenir store. During peak times the place is packed with people and parking will be hard to find. There are many other view points located all along the drive.

Emily H

Beautiful park. Very well maintained. A wide range of trails. We were able to bring our young kids with us on some of the hikes. Even our stroller! The people who work at the park are very nice and knowledgeable.

Kris Christensen

⛰♥️ How can you not love this place. Remember to come early. Paradise parking lots were full by noon. Had to hike to get to the hike

Wendy Florence

Beautiful to go see. Was very lucky to have a clear day. Highly recommend checking this park out.

audrey hughey

Even on a busy Saturday, it felt like you were not too crowded. We took the Burroughs trail out of sunrise and we're not disappointed. 10ish miles total and not too difficult for the beautifully up-close views of Rainer.

Ashley H

Beautiful park with paved, yet moderately difficult, trails. The visitor's center was very clean and informational. Parking can be an issue but that's expected for a popular national park.

susan lee

Such grandeur! The visitors center was awesome! Super nice and helpful guides. I loved that the souvenirs weren't overpriced!

Jimmy Bamis

The tour was great and Don is the perfect tour guide. He was funny and upbeat to try and keep us interested. Beautiful waterfalls and rivers. Breathtaking views. Saw exotic birds and baby elks.

Mark Leslie

It's like walking into a lucid dream everytime. It's just so beautiful and vast.

Julie Mills

Beautiful place to visit. We were able to see a lot of scenery even with the heavy snow. My entire family loved it.

Coinrott

Most beautiful place I've ever been in my life! The driving up to the mountain was easygoing, all the way up to Paradise, which I didn't expect.

Omkar Reddy

".. the most luxuriant and the most extravagantly beautiful of all the Alpine gardens I ever beheld in all my mountain-top wanderings." - John Muir. And I agree with him

Lori Lynn Lovin

One of the most breathtakingly beautiful places I have ever been. I highly recommend a visit to this National Park. The Stratovolcano is a magnificent sight to behold. The trails are somewhat aggressive if you aren’t in the best shape.

Carol Ann Johnson

Exquisite scenery!! The drive to the Visitors' Center even has amazing vistas as you drive closer to the mountain. Visitors' Center is informative and the Rangers are always available to answer questions.

Bharat Trehan

Great place to hike. You can find variety of hikes from easy ones to hard ones. It is also a great place to get your family. The trails are well maintained and the mountain rangers are very friendly and helpful. Parking can be a issue. To get a good parking spot, come in as early as possible especially if you need parking in the upper parking lot.

John Arellano

Awesome we hiked the Rampart Ridge trail today the weather was perfect. The park deserves a thumbs up the trail was in great shape. Great easy 5 mile hike the first 1.5 miles were up than the rest was down hill. Definitely will do again .

L Callihan

Paradise is like no other natural treasure! Stayed up late for ranger talk and star viewing party. Seeing Saturn's rings and Jupiters moons was incredible!

Nathan Anton

We drove from East to Westin the park. Couldn't see anything because the whole park was in the clouds. Not really their fault. The gift shop was nice. Need to go back someday.

Dee Smith

Loved it. The hike wasnt to bad. The scenery is beauty. Staff is friendly and the other visitors.

Rich Dotson

Smell the clean crisp air as you breathe in is all you need. Definitely a must see NP!

Lorriann Rodriguez

Breathtaking!!! Great trails and beautiful scenery. Went in late August. It was very foggy but then there was a brief break and it went away around 5/6 PM.

Britta Pyle

Hiked Berkeley Park today. Beautiful hiking. So many trails to be explored. Restrooms are clean. Gift shop has many cute items. Snack bar for those interested in buying food. Place to fill water bottles with cold water. :)

James Hall

Mount Rainier National Park is a great place. There are many beautiful places to see all around the park. From Sunrise, to Paradise. All around the Hwy 410, SR123, & Hwy 7. Every bit of it has some kind of feature that will put you in ahh. If Nature & it's beauty is not for you, then that would not be a good place to go. However, undoubtedly, you will love every bit of the trip you take up there!

Vannesa Ramirez

I was just here this past weekend, I enjoyed the scenery. Besides all the beautiful views, the trail was nice and clean. I will definitely be going back. Also it is kid-friendly.

Dozy

Had a nice hike visiting for the first time. Only had the day to spend, wish I had my gear to backpack around. What a gorgeous mountain.

Mina Vasquez

Didn't get the chance to go all the way up because of the snow. But it was amazing.

Reid Burch

Wow, what a great park. We were looking for a good day trip on our last day in Seattle and almost decided to go somewhere else but glad we didn't. We were able to experience the first snow of the season and all of the scenery was wonderful. We had lunch at the cafe in Paradise and it was really good, although a tad pricey. Highly recommend to visit this park if you are thinking about it.

Trevor Foster

Goal is to hike her in 2021. A wonderful day. Make sure to go to cabin at the base of the MT.

Jacob Jones

Great as always, but admission fee is ridiculous and there are way too many people. Hard to feel like I'm out in nature when I'm surrounded by 5 million others who are trying to do the same thing

Mark Batson

Always a great place to visit, hike and camp. Friendly helpful park rangers, clean facilities but parking can be tough if you get there after 9 or 10 am.

Michael Collins

One of Washington's most spectacular state parks. Very beautiful and the air is fresh and invigorating feels like going back in time away from all of the hustle and bustle that comes with city living. Highly recommend taking a trip up there in the summer time for a healthy mind and body recharge.

Charles Tay

The view still blows my mind despite this not being my first visit. Was here 3 weeks ago, and it was already snowing. Be sure to dress warm!

Tina Barnash

Highly recommend this scenic drive if you get the chance! We will go back whenever we can, you could literally spend years checking out all the beautiful (well maintained btw) trails and roads. It's just one unbelievably breathtaking vista after another, an awesome adventure around every corner!

Red Moon Doggie

Love this place. Great hiking, great camping, friendly knowledgeable rangers. And that mountain!

Rick Nobers

National Parks are awesome. So is this one. Cool trails and scenery. Wildlife out and about. Streams, waterfalls, etc are cool as snow melts. Nuff said.

Don Corbett

Tourist friendly national park - unlike any other park you will ever friend. Easy kids hike such as Myrtle Falls. Make the drive down from Seattle if you’re visiting.

Mary Koes

From wildflowers to waterfalls and mountains to marmots, Rainier is incredible. We spent a few days in August in Paradise and were blown away by the scenery. Highly recommend getting and early start and hiking skyline trail. If the weather is cloudy, there are some fantastic waterfall hikes as well.

John Koziol

Amazing experience. If you have 4 or 5 hours free and love to hike, check out the Skyline Trail. You'll get some of the best scenic views in the country.

Joe Wang

Breath taking mountain view with snow. Snow trail hiking. A bit slippery so wear proper gears.

Hila Stern

Breathtakingly beautiful. Great Rangers and I formation. The hike was not as hard as I thought - my kids did it with us and we enjoyed the vistas so much. Even the ride all the way to "Paradise Point" we stopped many times and the viewpoints. Stunning.

Caleb Wilson

Be ready to have fun. So much clean air and fantastic sights. I had no idea ancient trees were in WA

chasing views_

I would give 5 stars if this park wasn't jammed packed all summer! Be prepared to wait in the entrance line for atleast an hour! Arrive early to avoid the crowds! Besides that... the alpine lakes are turquoise blue, the mountains are full of glaciers, the waterfalls are thundering year round, and you have a chance to see wildlife! Enjoy!

Rivka Brenna

Beautiful place! Nice clean and stocked facilities. Make sure you check the times for the Visitor Center before going. Gorgeous views, lots of hiking trails, clean and cared for park. Lots of handicapped parking, access, and camping spots. Enjoyed our stay and visit!

Noah Horner

Gosh, this place is so amazing! We left Seattle at 6:30 and arrive at 9 to paradise and there were soooo many parks. Rainier wasn’t shy either, because he was showing himself the whole hike! Rainier in August is awesome. We did a hike that went about 1500 feet up and got pretty close to rainier.

Haley Miller

Oh, to throw snowballs in July! This place is magical! You hike up a mountain and you get winter paradise in the summer. Cold weather fans NEED to go to this park for sure!

Megan Hults

It is such a beautiful place to take in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. A majority of the trails are paved and yet still give you an opportunity to exercise the heart. Perfect for people of all ages. Come expierence what Washington has to offer. You wont be disappointed!

Sarah Wang

its a great work out and has many sites. Even just walking there the trails are beautiful, just like a wonderland.i was lucky to see wildlife there. simply beautiful scenery and it's great for dates or family trips. Wonderful.

Matticus Skibert

I don't even know why this needs a review but this is one of the most majestic places on earth. One of my favorite places to travel and hike. I cannot wait to come back and visit this park again. Please don't be the people wearing shorts when it's freezing or high-heels in the ice and snow.

Tushar Mukherjee

Loved it. Amazing view of an amazing mountain. It's a family friendly park with fee of trails you can do with young kids. Couple of trails are even accessible with strollers. Ideal to visit during summer and weekday if possible. It gets crowded during weekends in summer.

Christopher Young

Make sure you breath deep up here. The air is really thin. We are flat lenders and the air was making my wife sleepy. She suffered a mild version of Hypoxia. She was not able to drive till below 2000 feet. If you are make it to the top, bring food. The picnic area is nice. We want up and bear mace was set off at the food lodge. There was alot of people dousing themselves in water. The park rangers handled it well. The ambulance arrived within the hour. It was a blast. Gorgeous view. Worth the drive.

Maria D

I only was able to visit for the day, but it is so beautiful! We took the trails near Tipsoo Lake. There is a nice little picnic area and plenty of parking. There are quite a few trails in that area and much to see. Although there were some flowers, most were gone. We we will have to visit a couple weeks earlier to catch the flowers in bloom. One day is definitely not enough, but if you only have a day I’d still recommend.

Anindita Barman

Well, my physical trip to the national park was a bummer because it was overcast all throughout my time there, as a result of which, I didn't get a view of the mountain. However, we caught spectacular views of the mountain from our flight to Seattle which I have shared herewith.

Lopamudra Mangaraj

It is a beautiful place. Can be very crowded. Clouds could take away the magnificence of the mountain but still a good hike. The meadows are beautiful.

Steve Michaels

Hardly anybody gets 5 stars from me, but this is the gem of Washington state. I prefer Sunrise Visitor Center cuz it's closer to Federal Way, but it's only open for about three months.

It's absolutely beautiful there! And very clean, too. I was blessed to be there on a sunny day and my photos are spectacular.

Sara Dickinson

Enough parking, great food. Stunning views. Cannot be better place to spend an afternoon.

One of the most beautiful locations in the US. Mr. Rainier is a magnanimous, majestic and magnificent mountain. Both trails, the Sunrise and the Paradise hikes were phenomenal. Walking up the mountain is an extraordinary experience - scenic mountains, lakes, mountain outlines, colors, light breeze, wild goat and more. The glacier filled peak view is gorgeous from both sides. There are several guides led camps and trail treks. One that I heard most was the Muir base camp. Love this place.

Great park with a wide variety of experiences for everyone. More incredible views of Mt Rainier than you can count. The hiking trails are generally well maintained. It can get very crowded at Paradise and Sunrise, the two most popular stations. There are many off the beaten path hikes and picnic grounds where you can feel like you are alone with nature.

It’s amazing. Has some many points to stop and enjoy the view, many trails with easy paths to choose from and a very clean and neat environment. Recommended all seasons

Amazing place. Beautiful waterfalls, and of course a sleeping volcano.

Spencer Adams

This is a beautiful place with so much to see. Go soak in all the amazing sights. It's worth taking the extra time to visit when crossing the mountains.

Mount Rainier is Impressive. Mount Rainier has 26 glaciers, is the tallest peak in Washington state, and is one of the largest volcanoes if the Cascade Range. The national park encompasses some of the most incredible scenery you will encounter in the lower 48, and it is well worth the entrance fee to luxuriate in the rain forests and admire the behemoth which is Mount Rainier.

Michael McGrath

Wow!!! Just spectacular and highly recommend the planning to go hiking here. Definitely plan it well or you could end up either not being able to go on the hikes you planned. Have some plan b hikes ready in case weather prevents you from doing the ones you want.

Joshua Cherry

The hiking trails weren't crowded and were well maintained. The ranger at the station recommended a beautiful trail that we found easily.

Rich Traulsen

My go to place to escape the hustle and hassles of city life. I recommend visiting on weekdays and not just summer, it's amazing year round. Bring a camera and go on a short hike or two.

Mt. Rainier never ceases to amaze me. Every time I visit, I experience something more wonderful than last time. Whether it’s the views of the Cascades, the snowy dome of Mt. Rainier, or the colorful meadows, there is something for everyone. Make sure to stop by the visitor center-it’s very well maintained. The only downsides to this park is that there is not internet and always filled with tourists for the whole summer.

Randall Sortino

Seriously a must see in Washington State. Fantastic outdoors experience! The beauty is really hard to beat!

Chris Tucker

There is no singular mountain with the awe of Mt Rainier. It is worth the drive. I recommend traveling on a week day. Traffic on a beautiful summer weekend can be standstill.

Prajwal Yadapadithaya

One word. Beautiful. The skyline trail in Mount Rainier gives some of the most awe-inspiring scenic views. The sunrise area has some incredible trails as well. Go visit Tolmie peak for the best views of Rainier.

Imran Lashari

Amazing view. Drive is pretty , hike is awesome. We saw a wild black bear.

Bryce Cupp

Natural beauty everywhere. Very busy park. Nicely redone lodges and visitor center at Paradise. Trails from easy to hard. Definitely worth a day trip!

Josh Anderson

Incredibly breathtaking! The hike was quite the climb, but once the pavement ended, it was much easier to traverse. Just be sure to keep to the path to make sure the natural wildflowers don't get trampled!

Dustin Horton

Beautiful, beautiful park. The views of Mount Rainier are spectacular. The wilderness areas and nature spots are also extremely photogenic. Bring your camera.
