I'm keeping this rate of 1 star untill this gets corrected. Are you familiar with the Cuba's situation? You know, the communist/dictatorial island that actually had nuclear missiles pointing at the US in the 60s, the same regime that had killed millions including members of my family.... And it does that, in part, WITH YOUR MONEY... the one out of the profits of SELLING CUBAN CIGARS at a Navy NEX.... Yes... Despite Congress imposing a series of laws part of the embargo to a nation that supports terror and kills its own people. I will love to hear how in HELL... This is possible!?

I am so grateful for the USA navy training in VA. Beach for our military men and women to an ongoing broad spectrum, and the USA NAVY SEAL teams, that are unending for American citizens. Their devotion is immense.

My husband was stationed here several times in the 00s and 2010 was his final sea duty: onboard the USS MAHAN DDG72. The Navy was good to us, I miss it. He may not, but I do! Born and raised in Hampton Roads, my mom has been employed by the DoN for over 30 years. We love our Navy and all our Sailors!

The National Interest magazine noted that the Navy may refuse to build in the most vulnerable areas to solve the problem, but it will not be easy to protect the infrastructure faced in the event of a disaster. narrow budget. Built on July 4, 1917, the Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia is considered the largest naval base in the planet, of course the largest of the US Navy's "majestic, majestic" . The mission of this base is to support and be ready for logistics operations for the US Atlantic Fleet. It provides ports, airports, air squadrons, life support services for military personnel, and human resource management services. Port services are responsible for controlling more than 3,100 turns of vessels entering and leaving each year. For aerial activity, more than 100,000 flights start each day, which means 255 flights a day take off - or every six minutes. More than 150,000 passengers and 264,000 tons of mail and cargo depart each year on either Mobile Flight Operators or Norfolk Naval Airfield flights. This is also the US Navy's logistic center serving the battlefield operations of the Central Command and Europe, and also the Caribbean.

Norfolk is a pit, absolutely nothing to do if you are a fresh seaman on base. The base needs more growth and recreation opportunities for junior sailors. I've been here 3 years, picked up rank and I still think it's a pit.

Really old, mostly empty it seems. It’s also a huge base so if you need to go from A—B, it’s a lot of walking/driving in barren areas of nothingness.

Before 911 you could drive up to the docks which were guarded and fenced. Best view of a aircraft carrier ever. Times change though and hopefully the tour shows the same ships
