It had always been intended as a commissioned project following the Revolutionary War, though was not until over a century later, until it was able to be created. The statue at the top was replaced as result of a lightning strike destroying the original.

Great National Park in which to experience one of the most important battles in American history. Easy to walk around and a well prepared visitors center make this site a must. I would visit again. Plan on spending 4 or more hours here to savor the experience.

Very modern building and great job displaying historical facts. Interactive, informative, interesting. Movies, puzzles, questions. Then you go outside and see the canon and musket being used. All presenters were friendly, well versed, open to questions. Make sure you have enough time for all sites.

Acres of land full of the history of the American revolutionary war. Very interesting, and well maintained, beautiful just to drive through.

Though beautiful and scenic, it is best Not to go there as you are very likely to be harassed by the National Park service police..its just not worth it..
