REVIEWS OF Arlington National Cemetery IN Virginia

Such a humbling experience! Beautiful grounds. The tour around is great and gives a lot of information. The changing of the guard was good to see. It is a tranquil place where you can feel such gratitude for those that laid their lives down in service of complete strangers. I definitely recommend visiting if you are at all in the area.

Adam Nott

There is no other place with this much solemnity and a stark reminder of what binds us together as Americans as the National Cemetery at Arlington. Whether you're a local or a visitor from abroad, it is well worth a visit. Be prepared for a long walk with plenty of elevation changes! The paths are well-maintained and there are water fountains strewn throughout, but to have a good tour you'll need at least a couple hours.

Freddie's Wife

Very touching & poignant. This epitaph resonated with me, from Harold Moore Schultz's tombstone: "This world is not conclusion; a sequel stands beyond. Invisible, as music, but positive as sound."

Day Time

When Americans do something they do it in style! This place is spiritual, humbling, beautiful and tells a lot about the American fallen heroes. You can feel the respect which has been awarded to the heroes. What an experience! Don’t miss this place when you tour the surroundings.

Bill Robertson

Awe inspiring place. So glad I made it to see my brothers, fathers.

Mahendra AC

Fantastic experience!!! Must see

Erik Mannery

Beautiful grounds and lots of cool statues and memorials celebrating our history. I love the dedication to the military and the ceremonies throughout the day are not to be missed.

Maurice Rokovitz

Full of history. Sacred experiences at the Tomb of the Unknown and at the John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame (The presidential memorial at the gravesite of U.S. President John F. Kennedy). Everyone should visit Arlington at least once in their life. Always love visiting here.

Milky

beautifully done. really puts in perspective how many people died for us

Mary Powers

Just wonderful. Landscaping beautiful. All was perfect. Watching changing of the guard at unknown soldiers memorial. Breathing taking And inspirational. Museum fascinating and so informative. All staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and excellent. Loved Leroy!, thanks for a great experience and thanks to our government providing it for all of us Maribeth Powers Seguin, Texas

Matthias Fischer

For me it is one of the most impressive places on this planet.

Gaagle Plas

Prior to stopping in D.C. this Spring, we stopped here. We hiked over to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and watched the changing of the guard. We would have wondered about more but my wife made a bad decision on which paid of shoes to wear - wear comfortable shoes for walking!

Stephen Butler

What can I say. Hollow Grounds. Please be respectful. So many loss lives. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.

Hung N

Very very well done in cleanliness and being orderly. May our last veterans rest in peace and with honor.

Sebastian Velez

Very Nice! Got to see a Ceremony. RIP to the Soliders.

Acelib25

You must see and honor our fallen soldiers. Changing of the guard was amazing

Joseph Reimer

This an amazing place with all the tombstones! It's very well kept and immaculate. The changing of the guards is a must-see for sure. It's all very solemn and respectful, and the gaurds are very self-controlled as guards are. And you also need to see JFK's flame.

Mishka Liamkin

Large and beautiful cemetery. It is worth visiting if in DC. Famous graves of john f Kennedy and generals of the us army are here. Take the tram tour around the cemetery to be able to see all of the areas.

Kiel Known

It was everything i had hoped it to be. To the people running the place and the upkeep, well done and thank you for keeping this place beautiful! The tomb of the unknown soldier was really cool and inspiring. The soldiers marching are tremendous for what they are doing. Thanks you for this different type of service. The Kennedy flame was very somber and kept respectful. I’ll definitely get back here again one day to once again see the hero’s that sacrificed their lives for this great country.

Juma Ngong

I shed tears when I see widows of American armies still come to graves and cry because their husbands lives was not lost in vain. May almighty God bless Americans for their hard work.

Chris Skaggs

What a fantastic rewarding experience! The Guards of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are Amazing! It was such an honor to visit this special place!

John Dowers

Very beautiful place. Calm, quiet, serene. Really puts things into perspective when you see how many grave stones there are. Only thing that sucks is how many children are wearing Maga hats. Not the place for that.

Arthur Naing Win Aung

Well, I visited there with tour bus from New York. Tour guide explained us about the cemetery. It's a peaceful and quiet place. Must visit if you're there...

Kevin P

Amazing and humbling to walk these grounds. I was alone and just took an hour or so to walk around and take it all in. It was winter time so not many people around, and it was an inspiring thing to experience. There's definitely a somber but powerful feeling here as you see the price we pay for our freedoms.

suchitra panigrahi

Very organized and beautiful place to witness the place of great and brave souls.

Nathan Powers

Walking through the paths, looking around at the endless graves is a depressing reminder of the sacrifices that hundreds of thousands of people have made for the US. Walk in silence and contemplation. Read the names and information on the graves. Remember what these people did for us.

Owusu Agyin

You can’t visit DC and not go here. Cemeteries always have a solemn and respectful feeling while your there but this one is so much deeper. You can feel the sacrifice of the men and women who are buried here. Also, go watch the change of guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. That will change your life.

ivana gobbo

Very humbling experience. Walking through the paths and looking at the endless graves was a reminder of the sacrifices that thousands and thousands of soldiers have made for the U.S. It is the perfect sacred place to show respect to those who have served and fallen. The facility and grounds are beautiful. The atmosphere was so calm, quiet, serene, peaceful. PS: wear comfortable shoes for walking.

Tokyo Tim

While not a eatery which is typical of my reviews, Arlington is a must see stop. The trolley host provides some helpful information that you might otherwise not have heard. One of our trolley guides was pretty dry and dull but overall we did not care. They all still gave us info that was beneficial. Some of the views are exceptional and the changing of the guards was impressive, as is their dedication.

Steve Derstine

Awesome!! totally lucked and was able to see the prime minister of Australia placing a wreath on the tomb of the unknown soldier. The changing of the guards was cool to. The workers were very helpful and polite.

Linda Lindacarolyn55@verizon.net

My father is buried in the most honorable place in the world. My mother and my brother will be there with him. My Mother and brother are now buried with my Dad. The service was very nice and everyone was very kind to me and my family during our time of great loss. I know their grave will be well taken care of and I can visit anytime with my pass. Thank you Arlington for your kindness and professionalism

Cheryl Tischler

I have been here multiple times. Most people don't know you can go on different tours for lesser known sites... like to see where the astronauts are buried and hear the stories. Beautiful landscape, the design is so precise I never tire looking at it.

Michael Wood

Such a great place to visit! Great way to honor the sacrifices that our soldiers make to protect our freedoms.

Ashley Stacey

Amazing thing to watch!!! To think these guys can do this so quietly and precisely

Brooke Wayment

Really neat place to visit in dc. It is huge and beautiful.

Lydia Poe

Humbling to see the rows and rows of the men and women who served their country. Loved the respectful ceremony of the changing of the guards. Their discipline and solemnity really added to the atmosphere of the entire cemetery. J. F. Kennedy's eternal flame showed how much America respects their servants, and it is amazing to see the honor of these deceased countrymen and women. Recommend highly!

Elias Piper

The Arlington Cemetery is located in Virginia, but it is very convenient to take a direct subway ride from DC. The cemetery was established during the American Civil War and buried American soldiers who died in the American National War. Although it is a place to cherish the ancestors, mid-April is full of spring. Standing on a small hill with the Arlington Palace, you can see the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the Houses of Parliament.

VARSHA JOSHI

This is one important place to visit when in DC.The place is extremely peaceful. It is spread across a huge area. The changing of guards is an important ceremony here. The atmosphere is very solemn and respectful. It has graves of some if the most honourable personalities in the American history including honourable John F Kennedy. I'll highly recommend this place.

Doris Reinert

Something every person should see, Very sobering experience. There were several disabled veterans on the sidelines watching the changing of the guard. Hats off to these brave men and the volunteers who made it possible for them to visit Arlington. Freedom definitely is not free and we take it for granted.

Shismis 11

Its big and pretty. I don't like the weird rocks placed everywhere tho. Pls remove them, make it pretty.

Michael Shoaf

Somber. Lots of walking to take in the sights. If you go, be respectful of where you are. Save the idle chatter for the ride home. The changing of the guard is a solid 20 minute walk and it happens on the hour every hour.

Beth Humann

I have not had the opportunity to visit but being an American it is hollowed ground to all of us. May God watch over all.

Nathaniel Pyron

Its the Active duty and veterans that need to be protected. Why? Because they signed that dotted line to defend the United States both foreign and domestic. I was United States Sailor and veteran that served on the U.S.S KittyHawk CV-63 stationed on Coronado. Ran with Navy seals on the beach every week then at night we would go to Hotel Del and have drinks.

Lisa Ostrovsky

This place is one of America’s gems. It’s weird, it’s a cemetery that feels awesome. We had an amazing walk through with a walking tour. Which I highly recommend. The grounds are amazing and very well maintained. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The changing of the guard leaves you speechless.

Tien Cooper

400,000 graves dating to civil war. Our funeral yesterday handled with precision. Everyone at the cemetery and on the base extremely polite and accommodating. Nothing out of place on the entire property

George Carrick

Although there is a government shutdown, the cemetery was open. Very beautiful place. Really enjoyed the view of DC from the eternal flame. Watched the changing of guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Very impressive! I'm very humbled and proud to be among the many brave men and women who served and died for our freedom. This is a must see for all.

Mark Skinner

Enjoy visiting such a sacred place and appreciate the pride and effort staff taking in honoring those who remain here. The pride soldiers take in serving at the tomb is also inspiring and helps us remember the many sacrifices that give us freedom.

Cool Head

Must visit and pay respect to our fallen heroes! This place is sacred and means so much to the American people. Number 1 place to visit with in the National Capital Region. Parking is not free, but admission is free of charge.

Nathan Yamamoto

One of the best places to come to during DC. The majority of these people were soldiers who died in battle, and a great place to pay your respects. The changing of guards /wreath ceremony is one of the most important things they do here. They have famous gravesites in the giant cemetery, along with JFK's. Very solemn, and a must see when you come to DC.

Peter Shields

What a grounds! Impeccable. The trees are magnificent. I was in awe!

Rebecca Lastname

I tried to get buried here in 2006. They refused me because, and I quote, “YOU AREN’T COOL ENOUGH.” What the hell Mr. Arlington? You’ll let famed wet blanket William Howard Taft into your six-feet-under club but not me, Rebecca? Would give this NEGATIVE six stars if I could.

Jason Hardee

A very sobering experience. Everyone should visit this place to learn what it takes for us all to be free.

Shawn Garthwaite

Astounding beauty, profound sadness, and the utmost respect. Arlington is a destination that all Patriots should attend at least once in a lifetime and honor those that gave all. I would highly recommend the guided, tram tour...as there is so much to experience spread out over fairly large area. There are also a lot of elevation changes...so if you choose to walk, be prepared for a lot of hills. Thank you.

Lula Turner

Visiting a cemetery isn’t normally at the top of our list of things to do when on holiday but this is a must when in Washington. The place is vast. Usual airport style security to enter. We took a guided walking tour as you could easily spend hours here wandering. Learnt about Robert E Lee and his house when the cemetery was first planned, JFK’s grave and that of family members and watching changing of the guard every half hour at the grave of the unknown soldier is a must do. Show less

Noah Machin

Walking along this beautifully kept cemetery is both amazing and emotional. I highly recommend taking a trip out here if you are in the DC area.

Lorna MacLachlan

They gave my father the respect he was due as a "Full Bird" Colonel, and buried him with reverence and respect, and have been supportive of my family when we visit.

Cornelius Davoren

We visited the Arlington National Cemetery and were simply speechless. There were markers as far as the eye could see. When you go, let it truly sink in what you're seeing. There is no other place like it on earth. And visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and watching the changing of the guard is breathtaking. If you ever get the opportunity, take it, you'll be glad you did.

Skyler

Very moving experience, the staff was great and the cemetery is in great shape.

Robert Prescott

Another one of my must-see spots for my students on our tour. The changing of the guard will make you proud to be an American. It is awesome to see the dedication and commitment these soldiers display to guard the tomb. I highly recommend making a stop here on your D.C. visit.

C H

We are exhausted from walking. Next, the Arlington National Cemetery recognizes the countless soldiers that fought for our freedom. The grounds are magnificent. The landscaping is beautiful. It's a very peaceful place to be especially when you get to the grave site of the late John F. Kennedy and his family. The fire that never goes out at his gravesite is the perfect metaphor for the memory of him, and all those buried at this historic site. Cemeteries are really not for everyone. Although, a quick visit, a whisper, a flower, for the memory of all those who rest in state for the love and protection of freedom is surely worth our time. Please do not forget the fallen heroes, for they did not forget us, rendering their lives for our peace of mind. May God bless them always and forever.

Isaiah Steinbrecher

Great place to visit and reflection.

Claude Burgess

A great tribute to our national heroes. Well organized and professional.

Xander H

A beautiful and well maintained site to not just learn about American history, but to spend time reflecting in the manicured surroundings. Tours are available at cost, general entrance is free. There is a small museum space at the visitor's center which is air conditioned and has bathrooms. The tomb of the unknown soldier is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main entrance.

SinisterDvrk RBLX

This place is beautiful. An amazing way of honoring the soldiers who served for our country and a very respectable area. I got to watch changing of the gaurd at tomb of the unknown soldier and it was great! I would highly reccomend a visit, whether to mourn, support, or just to see what it is like! However, if you do go, be sure to remove your hat and use hushed voices as a sign of respect.

Erich Meier

Arlington National Cemetery is both awe inspiring and surreal at the same. If going through the cemetery does not give you a renewed sense of patriotism, then there is something wrong with you! Be sure to check it JFK's tomb as well as the tomb of the unknown soldier - be sure to see the changing of the guard! God bless our troops and all that have lost their lives ensuring our freedoms!

Ryan Keefe

Very nice place.

Ta M

A great experience

Hector Carcamo

Very sad and humbling experience. Walking through the paths and looking at the endless graves was a reminder of the sacrifices that thousands and thousands of soldiers have made for the Us so we can. Enjoy FREEDOM It is the perfect sacred place to show respect to those who have served and fallen. And should never be forgotten The facility and grounds are beautiful. The atmosphere was so calm, quiet, serene, peaceful.

Beautiful as always. But it's unfortunate that I and other serious people have to share the cemetery with hundreds (thousands?) of ill-mannered schoolchildren. They clearly have no interest in visiting the cemetery. So why are they here? I'm not talking about young children with their parents. I'm talking about the busloads of high school age children brought here in the summer months. Most have no interest in what surrounds them. Many are downright disrespectful--sitting on monuments, making jokes about being shot or buried alive. I'm not suggesting the cemetery prohibit youngsters from visiting. But perhaps ANC should consider creating an online course, a tutorial, that students on group tours are required to view. Something like that could emphasize the sacrifices these heroes made and explain why Arlington is perhaps the most sacred, solemn patch of ground in the US. Those who aren't in the right frame of mind to visit a place like this simply shouldn't be here.

Chaya Kagan

I went here during my 8th Grade Graduation trip, and it ruined the trip for me. We already went to the Holocaust Museum that day, so I was hoping that the rest of the day would be more lighthearted. The worst part was the guard-switching ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We had to stand the entire time, and my feet felt as is they'd burn right off. The way the guards walked was redundant, and it was so silent that when he shouted at one of my classmates to not sit on the railings, it startled me. I can't help thinking that the unknown soldiers were a bunch of shy, quiet, reserved guys, who would be absolutely humiliated to learn that they can't get a moment's privacy even after they died. I'm not saying you shouldn't go here, but please try to avoid this place if your goal is to have a cheerful, fun, and lighthearted trip.

J Michael

This place gives me chills every time I am here. It is such a beautiful final resting place. I could walk around here for hours. The changing of the guard is a must see!

Fred Newman

I have visited the cemetery twice, once as a visit with my wife. The second was with the Honor Flight Tri State. In fact during the second visit, I suffered a stroke at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Fortunately, my recovery was complete because of excellent treatment at the Virginia Hospital. I loved everything about the Cemetery -from the grounds keeping to the appearance, conduct and dedication of the guards. I hope to visit again someday.

laguardiaesmusica

As a foreign traveler visiting Washington DC I had the chance to go into Arlington cemetery, and I must say I pretty much enjoy my time there, not only is a beautiful place, and a landmark of DC, but you can also feel the importance of it and feel proud and respectful for being ther, feel the history and the names which the country was built on. Recommended 100%

Mandy Salotti

This was an awesome and humbling experience! The Changing of the Guard was a amazing display of honor and respect!

Frank Patt

A really sobering and emotional experience. The care and attention that the cemetery receives is fitting for the thousands of graves here. It is well worth a visit.

Tim Russert

I really enjoyed Arlington National Cemetery. Wish I could have spent more time here :( The grounds were very well kept! Tons of history! My kids enjoyed the changing of the guard.

Lyndon mincey

This is a beatuifulbplace this where i bury my great gramother great grandfather great aunt

Miguel Martinez

Amazing place! 100% worth the visit. Do a walking tour here

S Goldmen

This is a must visit on your DC Circuit. The change of guard at the tomb of unknown soldier, Kennedy Memorial and the USMC Memorial are mandatory stops. Carry water and mosquito repellent. A good hat is a must given soaring temperatures. You can easily spend a day here

Kathy Chandler

Unbelievable amazing to see and watch a service

Pavan Kumar

This is a must place to visit if someone is visiting Washington DC. This place in on Blue Metro line and is walkable distance from Lincoln memorial. The whole tour of the grounds takes at least couple of hours. There are lot of points of interest along the walkable paths. Tomb of unknown solider, Kennedy eternal Flame, memorials for Space Shuttle Challenger and Columbia crew.

James Sutton

The Memorial Day activities on TV were made much more impactful due to my recent visit of Arlington National Cemetery. A most powerful place. If you visit the Tomb of the Unknown, you will never forget it. Do it.

SoccerGirlVada

Great place but, very very sad! The only part I did not like that much was the changing of the guard because you can not see them do it because everyone is piled up wanting to watch it.

Rachel Mackson

I enjoyed the visit—I had not visited in many years and there had been a lot of growth. It’s kind of difficult to maneuver driving there because of roundabouts, but it was a nice time. Parking is reasonable tol

Muralidhar Hoskote

Memories can make your heart feel heavy, but the greens and disciplined depiction of History in whites calm the nerves. Hallowed grounds! Indeed no visit to DC can be complete without Arlington.

Milko Vasilev

Park is beautiful and we enjoy all the sight and the premises, but had that gut feeling that all the traffic. coordinators and staff that were all black had a attitude and acted like we owed them something .very bad attitude. My personal experience-paid our tickets for the guided tour, and we left with some pamphlets from the staff, when to board and found dont have ticket . wife ran back and the staff started to argue with her ,like she is wanna scam them

Jon

Extraordinarily maintained, these elegiac grounds are powerful, haunting, heartrending, and beautiful. Kind and considerate staff are welcoming and helpful, and the tour guides are knowledgable and possess a versatile spread of facts and stories to enrich the experience. I was fortunate enough to see a ceremony whereby an elderly WWII vet presented a wreath for the honor guard to lay at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and it was a touching moment for all present. Parking is readily available on site, with options to pay at tour's end by card at the exit gates or inside the visitor's center by cash. It's well worth a stop and a few hours spent to remember heroes known and unknown. A remarkable place.

Jason

What a beautiful Cemetery. The week prior to Memorial day we rode our motorcycle across country to Arlington National Cemetery and the Vietnam Memorial Wall. The trip was pretty tough at points due to storms but it was worth it in the end. I carried with me a write up about a soldier who is still Missing in action during the Vietnam War. We were allowed to ride our motorcycles into the cemetery to pay our respects. We also got to see the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and also my Great Uncle who is buried there and earned the Purple Heart during World War 2. A huge honor to be able to see our National Cemetery and pay respects to those who served.

Jim Rosie

My Mom and Dad are interred there, as are several family friends. Words cannot describe the reverence that is displayed and the care taken to preserve the final resting place of those who have served this great Nation with distinction and their patriot spouses. Thank God for their sacrifices.

JB

This place is hauntingly beautiful, I would recommend three things when visiting. First on the top of every hour the changing of the guards happens in the unknown solders section. It is a really cool ceremony. Second, JFK grave site is so beautiful, and the view is amazing from that spot. Third, all the grave sites for all the men and women who had their lives taken for the USA. There are rows and rows of them. Great place to spend a few hours, and help see some of that history come alive.

Youssef

Very interesting but be prepared to walk long distances

TJ Shumate

Unimaginable and speechless. This hallowed ground is definitely worth paying your respects to the moms, dads, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters who gave thier lives for the freedoms Americans enjoy. I shed a tear while visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Changing of the guard and a wreath. Taps was played and it all fell into place.

Emma & Grant Farlow

A credit to the US Government for the immaculate condition this cemetery is maintained honouring the nations service personnel. Absolutely amazing history

Heart

I felt this was a must on my trip through the area. Very peaceful and sad experience.

Lauren Stephan

Just had my best friend's funeral service here, last week. It was my first time at Arlington Cemetery, but won't be the last. It was such a dignified, impressive and moving cermony, with a 21-gun-salute, Taps being played on the bugle, unfolding/folding of American Flag/presentation of flag, etc. I understand that each of the military members that takes part in these services is a volunteer. THAT really touched my heart. Loyalty to their fellow soldier to the end. So grateful. To see the endless rows of tombstones is a sober reminder that freedom is not free.

Courtney Fox

One of my most favorite places ever visited. We made it there during Cherry Blossom season and it is just beautiful and so peaceful to walk around and see.

E.P. McDonough

A beautiful place where America's chosen are laid to rest. The feeling and spirit felt here will remind you of why America is what she is today. Several places within Arlington National Cemetery are noteworthy and should be visited as well, President JFK's Eternal Flame and the Tomb of the Unknowns. God Bless America!

Brad Paradis

Arlington was truly impressive and humbling as well. It’s well worth the stop. I would strongly suggest paying for the trolley tour. It’s Over a much larger area than most realize and the information they provide, including the ride and the ease of location with them is worth the money.

Janis H.P.

Beyond our expectations. Sad, solemn, well done, extensive, beautiful. The tram took us all over the cemetery...kept us reasonably dry in the light rain and the tram guide gave us much information that enhanced our visit.

Becky Tracy

The facility and grounds are beautiful. Rolling Hills and gorgeous trees provide the most beautiful setting for those so deserving for their resting place!

Ryan Saucier

These sobering grounds will cause you to reflect

Ricardo Gonzalez

Great experience, alot of walking but plenty of your buses.

Megan Griffin

So honored to live in United States of America, where I can go an honor the fallen.

Jake Wolfe

The cost of freedom... take it in. The grounds are beautiful, the sheer size and numbers of men and women, and their children, so impressive. The monuments very understated, far more so than the vibrant lives sacrificed to keep home and liberty safe.

Traeden Overly

A very powerful experience, so many important people have been buried in this massive cemetery. A perfect tribute to the brave veterans that have served our country. They have 20-30 funerals a week and we got to see a flyover as they buried a important general. Watching the changing of the guard was fantastic, they are so perfect in the way they march and their uniform pace, I had the neat experience to talk to a female guard that is 1 of 9 females ever to guard the grave of the fallen soldier. Such a neat experience and an honor.

Harsh Saxena

This is a must visit on your DC Circuit. The change of guard at the tomb of unknown soldier, Kennedy Memorial and the USMC Memorial are mandatory stops. Carry water and mosquito repellent. A good hat is a must given soaring temperatures. You can easily spend a day here

Lisa Durbin

Absolutely a must see in DC! The changing of the guard was such a beautiful thing to see. The beauty, history and the unbelievably feeling of peacefulness walking around was well worth the trip.

G W

A simply gorgeous cemetery that used to be the house of Robert E Lee. Eventually, during the Civil War, ot was seized by the United States and made into a cemetery. after the Civil War ended, the United States paid the Lee family for the property that was seized since it was in violation of due process and payment. Each of the stone markers are a monument to the heroes that lay beneath them. Quiet and educational. While you're here, definitely see the tomb of the unknown soldiers and the soldier that guards it. Hopefully you'll see the changing of the guard as well. Highly recommend!

Amateur Rubik's Cube Solver

Seeing the Eternal Flame, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and being in such a solemn place was truly amazing. The soldiers who stood guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier also explained its significance and the ceremonious procedures which must take place in order for the guard to change shifts.

Twyla Hefner

Beautiful place! Loved my visit ⚘A huge Thank You to all who serve our great country. All gave some, some gave All!

MSU FAN

This place is a must see for every true red blooded American citizen. The grounds are just immaculate. It's hard to explain the feeling you get while your hear. The service they held for my Uncle as we laid him to rest here was great. This is where I want to my final resting place to be when the Lord calls upon me guard the gates to heaven. The vast area of the grounds is just surreal. Each one of those grave markers was earned and payed by the service to our great country.

Victoria B.

This is a must if you're touring DC. It's extremely peaceful and beautiful, and they do enforce the rules to keep it quiet. My only disappointment was that even though the cemetery is open until 7, several of the places I wanted to see inside closed at 5.

royalsamurai1

Of all the places we have visited during our stay here, Arlington National Cemetery was the most moving place for me. With all the war heroes to see was a humbling experience for me. It made me feel proud that I served my country in the United States Army and I felt honored being here. Even with 20 minute tram shuttles the heat was unbearable today. It was 97 degrees, hot and humid at 10am and getting around was a chore. My suggestion is bring your patience and plenty of water. Our highlights included President John F. Kennedys grave site and the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier with the army honor guard.

Martin G.

God Bless those who gave their last full measure of devotion.

Erica Byers Pelton

The cemetery is beautiful and the museum is full of information. I highly recommend taking the tour! If you are disabled, you and a companion can take the tour for free. The shuttle has a place in the front with a ramp for those in wheelchairs. We had an excellent tour guide each time we were on the shuttle who gave us information along the way. We also enjoyed talking to Curtis and getting some extra history! He was one of the people at the shuttle stops! We stopped at the John F. Kennedy eternal flame and the tomb of the unknown soldier. The whole experience was emotional and educational! We definitely want to come back with our children and grandchild.

Michele Shinholser

Excellent place to visit. I would definitely recommend buying a trolley ticket as it's a huge place. Plus they are really friendly, helpful, and informative.

Dallin N

A good resting place for those who deserve it

Adam N.

It’s a peaceful, and well done memorial to those who have served, and fallen. It’s a great walk, and very scenic.
