Can't beat the bike trail that connects Burlington with Grand Isle on the old Island Line rail bed. In summer there is a short pontoon ferry to cross the gap, I think it was about 5 bucks each way.

It has grown so much since I was young..still beautiful. Lake Champlain . The only reason it was never listed as a great lake is because u can see the other side. But,it was big enough. I was born in VT. & spent many years on & off there. Lake Champlain is a place for BBQ'S, swimming & just escaping. Having family & or friends fun.

Street parking is free on Sunday and holidays. We attended worship with Burlington church of Christ in the Hilton Hotel, then ate lunch at the Burlington Market and Deli. Maple chicken salad and great view of docks and water. Bike path separate from street and sidewalk. Spent 1.5 hours walking , relaxing and sightseeing.

I love being this close to the Lake. I like to sit on the many benches surrounding the park and just watch the water. It's like free therapy. On days I bring the kids, they like to climb on the rocks and play in the grass. Not to mention the view is amazing!

I had not been to Waterfront Park in quite a while, and recently got the chance due to my daughters college graduation cruise. I dropped her off at the "Spirit of Ethan Allen" dock, and chose to stay in Burlington to sightsee. The weather was magnificent, but to me, any weather is beautiful by the water. May in Burlington, Vt is stunning- everything is that wonderful luscious green that heralds rebirth after a long winter. Leaves are bursting from branches, the electric purple of the rhododendron provide explosions of colour. The water was a mirror glass, reflecting clouds, sunlight, pylons, the pier....The rich blues of the Adirondacks framed all. I am a photographer and painter, so I took advantage of this natural beauty- and to reflect on the immensity of this amazing lake- Lake Champlain. If you like people watching, this is the place for you- I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but it also was the University of Vermont graduation, so an even bigger crowd was at hand. I walked up College St to Church St for some goodies and shopping- although many stores were closed by this time (6:30pm). I walked back down to the waterfront to watch and photograph the sunset! Just incredible- the light and shadows, the buoy lights coming on, the boathouse and dock lights coming on- There are concession stands that sell drinks and portable goods, parking is not too bad, and the Echo Center is also located there. If you choose the daytime for a visit, go the the Echo Center, a lake science museum that is definitely worth a looksee. Waterfront park is a must when visiting Burlington!

We had a amazing day driving up to Burlington,VT and hanging out with family on the Waterfront board walk. Some things were closed unfortunately, because of it being the 4th of july but it was beautiful view from the pier. There was plenty of restaurants open for all your hunger needs. Though we did stop around the area for any food. Loved the swinging chairs facing the dock. Also parking was very reasonable at $3.00 /hr.

We attended the Grace Potter Grand Point North festival here, and it was fantastic. It was nice to keep the vendors somewhat separate than the music, and the 2 stages really made things move along. Plenty of restrooms and lots of people helping with garbage and recycling.

Nice. Labeled smoke free park. People smoking right next to sign You come to Burlington expecting fresh country air and then have to walk thru clouds of smoke to walk thru park. Police useless here. Do nothing. Probably don't care. Too bad. Beautiful place Burlington is. Probably won't go back to park though.

can't really ask for a better sunset. It's clean, beautiful, and there's ample places to sit. Once that's over, run up into burlington and eat something amazing. This is one of my favorite places. It's just a straight through park with a little access to the lake, but it's a must if you're visiting the city.

Absolutely amazing. My wife and I took a totally spontaneous Sunset Cruise aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen III. It was two and a half of the most beautiful hours of my life. Never been to lake Champlain before; was blown away by the enormity of it.

Stunning sunset views! There is a restaurant in this marina. I didn't try it so I cannot comment whether it's good or bad but you will have great view of the water or sunset while eating dinner. Nice park for families or group of friends hanging out.

Gorgeous during fall. Lots of people taking walks or using the bike lanes near by. No bike traffic next to the lake. Burlington, Vermont is vibrant and simply beautiful during the long colorful Falls! Use the swings if you get there!

Pretty area, but it's unfortunate it's getting filled up with people and their boats with the new marina. Parking lots are saying "Marina parking only" for the private marina. Rather than make something accessible to everyone, it's getting developed for those with money. Pay to play.

I love coming here for walks ! Its absolutely beautiful! The events held here are always neat and always fun! There are some treasures to find down here ! There's all sorts of restaurants around within walking distance. The skinny pancake is near there , shanty on the shore, another boardwalk restaurant, a cruise boat for cruising the gorgeous lake champlain (The spirit of Ethan Allen ) and thier food is exceptional! All the food down here is soooooo fantastic and so fun, each place has it's own fun features! The Echo is down here ! (Family Fun for sure!) , there's even a skate park donated by Ethan Hawke ! The skate store is available across the street .......there's a snack bar to boot with creamiest cremees and delicious food! Not much ISN'T down at the waterfront! I love it !

I enjoy coming to the waterfront because it’s so close to Church Street and all the activities to do there but it’s also a place where you can just go and lay in the grass her people watcher do anything really. Higher Ground messed up big time for the Lake Street Dive concert. They were suppose to have a water station at the concert but they set it up outside the concert venue. They let us bring in empty water bottles with no where to fill them up. Not cool!!!

First time in Burlington VT. We attended the Tumble Down Festival. So much to do down by the water front. Metered parking was easy to access and very affordable. Walking and biking routes by the water, skate park, wooden bench swings along the way, overall we had an amazing time at the Festival and in Burlington.

This is a beautifully renovated park with lots to do. You can go for a short stroll or sit on benches and watch the water and the boats go by. You can also get food from nearby restaurants or bring your own and picnic here. If you have kids, there's an aquarium/science center right nearby. If you like to bike, the island line trail goes right through it too

i love the waterfront, its magical no matter when you go, any season its nice. on my last visit, mud season, the lake was over flowing and the benches were slightly underwater. ample parking, great place to walk, run, stroll, or catch pokemon. you will enjoy it.
