REVIEWS OF Vermont Teddy Bear IN Vermont

Cindy Lindenlauf

Interesting place to visit. Really educational as well as a great place to shop.

R L

Of course, it is about Teddy Bears so this is a good review. Take the tour and buy a Teddy. The tour is fun and informative and replete with Teddy humor. They cover the construction and triage of the lifetime guaranteed bears in a whimsical and informative way. Great for children of all ages. Their is a vending area and coffee too. Do not miss the shop or miss watching the bears being made while waiting for the next tour.

Jeanne Rowse-Davis

IMHO the prices were high however it is a good quality bear, stuffed animal, and has an excellent reputation. We did not do the tour however others that did were impressed. It's a good place to visit if you have children or even if you don't yet like teddy bears! They have a snack area and a couple places to take fun pictures of the family.

Patricia Deisher

Awesome place & great tour.

James Coric

Wonderful fun fun the kids. My son loved it and loved the tour. I would take the family again. The 3 star rating is for the injection of politics into everything. I can understand having political bears but not to share both side is not fair and equal to all. By the way trump is president not Hillary.

DJ Laguna

Worst company for any type of discounts at all, they really try their best to rack up the dollars on these bears and even if you spend over $100 like I was going to and call all the way to corporate they still gave no discount or free shipping or something. After my experience with them I am going to build a bear these guys suck.

Steve Chen

Recommend taking a tour during a weekday to see the factory in action - there are usually no workers in the weekends.

Nancy Litch

Great tour, it was fun making a teddy bear.

Samantha Jackman

Always a fun trip for kids and adults. Great place to spend a couple hours with the family. Quality products and fun, helpful staff!

Veida Lekakh

Super cute factory tour. Their teddy bears are indestructible! My husband made one when he visited them 21 years ago and we still have it! We were passing through and decided to make him a brother! To be fair, their teddy bears are expensive, but totally worth it! Adorable place for kids too.

Sherry Cavallaro

I tried to fit something for everyone into our weekend in Vermont. Vermont teddy bear was for my youngest daughter. As it turned out the whole family loved this part of the trip. Even my husband enjoyed himself here. It's been 2 years since our trip and every once in a while the Vermont teddy bear gets brought up in conversation as the best thing in Vermont. Highly recommend.

Patrick Chandler

awesome pkace to come and spend time with family and the kids on a rainy day,the prices were fair and reasonable and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly to our kids and helping them customize and build their very own bear, then we took the your with everyone and learned the rich history of the bears they once made and all the ones they still make today, even got a little fabric ready near to put on the button they give you in the beginning of the tour,of highly recomend coming and taking the tour and doing all the interactive activities they have for you and your children to do,we are for sure looking forward to returning in the future for our next visit, the best thing of all is the bears all come with a life time warrantee so no matter what happens to em,they are either fixed or replaced for free

Cristy-Ann Latulippe

Went to get a teddy bear for my 4 year old daughter very fun!!!

Ryan Forkin

I just bought the buddy puppy. I left a review on Vermont teddys website and they deleted it! Did not know I could not express my judgment under a stuffed animal dictatorship clearly. The puppy is too small for the price, and not very strong as any kid over 2 can easily rip it to pieces. It is soft, but the prize and puny size of the animal and the high shipping costs at Vermont teddy makes this a major PASS folks.

LEAH SAKS

My youngest daughter loved it! ( And let's be honest, so did the rest of the family) such a colorful, fun place, my children had a great time. The teddy bear making station was cute, but a bit expensive ( 20 dollars was as cheap as you could get). If you're looking for a cheap productive place to take your family I would not recommend, but besides the pricy-ness, it's cute and entertaining, and customer service and good

Kimberly Miller

Stopped in during vacation. Was bored. Might have been different if we had kids with us. We quickly left. Would rather go to Build a Bear: better selection and a happier atmosphere. This place was kinda sad.

Dave M-37 Gruschow

Tour was awesome.

Joyce Krevetski

I have wanted a huge teddy bear for a while. I found a cuddly 4 foot bear to love and snuggle with.

Terri Eltringham

People were nice. I was disappointed. I asked on line about a product before traveling 600 miles. I was told they carried product. When I arrived they did not have. So sad. The factory tour was nice.

Ben Trentman

The store was great, but the tour was a bit of a let down. It was a Saturday, so the factory was not running. I recommend going Monday thru Friday so you can see it in action. The entire place is cute, though, and if you are in the area it is quick (30 minute tour) and fun. It's not really worth it if you need to travel a few hours to go (unless you are already a big Vermont Teddy Bear fan).

Travis Dumas

Fun place even on a tuesday. Tour was very informative and fun. The button bear was a nice touch. The gift shop was so fun and staff was very helpful.

Rev. Ria Ferris

Lovely experience! Fun for all ages! My mother and I have a super fun time on the guided tour of the factory and got to see how they make the bears right there and how good of quality they are! Highly recommended for families or couples!

Barb Arnold

Fun spot! Great gifts for the grandkids!

Jade Stylistics

I visited this place as a kid at heart and was not disappointed, the tour is amusing enough to certainly be worth the couple of dollars to take it. And you leave with a cute little souvenir that you can pin somewhere (won't ruin the surprise). The Vermont Teddy Bear Company makes you appreciate the quality and joy a well made bear can bring to your life!

Dan Haff

Fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. A bit pricey if you want to buy anything, but it's all worth it. It's fun to take the tour and see how the bears are made.

Kevlyn Baker

Had a great time and the tour was great, perfect length for kids. The bears are pricey but have a lifetime guarantee! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area with little ones

Rod Taylor

Very nice tour, all different types of bears and with a lifetime warranty

JemiQui77

Extremely high prices, but well worth it for a quality bear plus free replacements of the critter. The tour is well worth the few bucks it costs. Very informative, and super cute. Although the bear hospital bit my have traumatized my niece lol

Autumn Potter

Best surprise for our daughter on vacation! Loved the reasonably priced tour behind the scenes! Loved making her own teddy bear! They also have the coolest phone holders to use for group selfies! All tourist attractions shout have these!

Brian Steenburgh

Great little tour for young children. Walks through whole bear making process quickly.

Dennis Root

Who doesn't like teddy bears. They are expensive but extremely well made. Take the kids on the tour.

Amie McKay

Been to VT several times first time visiting the Factory. Very impressive on how thing are done. My grandfather is the one that invented the device to put the eyes in years ago when my Aunt use to bring the bears home and turn them inside out!

Sine Nomine

Take a factory tour and then browse the factory store. Tours are cheap (or free - look for coupons), although you pay dearly in bear puns. We went on a weekend, so we didn't see actual production, but the tour guides do show you plenty. The bear hospital is something. Afterwards, pick up a bear or an outfit in the store or build your own. As with anything with the word "Vermont" in the name, prices aren't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Mark Rivard

Fun place to visit with our with out the kids. The tour was very informative and entertaining.

Katie Lockard

Cute place. The tour was fun and interactive. My 8 year old loved the tour and shop. The tour was cheap, however teddy bears are expensive.

Ben C

Good times, cool bears

Stacy Jones-Malik

The last tour of the day is around 3:30pm. The bears are adorable, but expensive. They come with a lifetime warranty, which makes it doable. Great for small kids or teddy bear enthusiasts. Plan to spend a lot of money.

Susanne Swartzentruber

The bears aren't like the ones from years ago. They're more simplified. The tour was fun and cute for all ages

Brittanny Barrows

Even though I'm from Vermont, it is still always a great time to go to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory! The kids love it and they really enjoy making their own animals. The people that work there are always very friendly and I love the store.

Marcia deGraaf Buis

Loved the bears! Great local business.

Jack Alprin

The staff was delightful

Elizabeth Moore

Really lovely place. Kind tour guides, special experiences for the kids. It was great to spend a wintery day with the family there! Definitely worth the three hour drive!

Jaemi Kehoe

Took a tour here on vacation this past summer. It's a bit different from the original location I toured as a child, but still a really fun company who stands behind their products. The bears can get pricey, but they come with a lifetime warranty. The Bear's life... Not the owner's. That's pretty cool. I picked up a little hero bear on this trip. It wasn't too pricey and meant a similar bear would be donated to first responders to give to a child in need on a future call. Very fun place to visit. They have some picnic tables outside, so you can even sit and eat before or after your tour.

Joseph Castelot

Our child loves his new "puppy"! Thank you!

Wpr Jersey

This is a place like no other. They have earned the reputation for a great quality teddy bear. We arrived an hour early to the tour of the warehouse and we're able to fill the hour with walking around the store and plenty of entertainment for the kids. The tour was amazing and extremely educational for my two girls. If you're looking for a good couple hours of entertainment and if you're looking for a teddy bear that is guaranteed for life this is the place you should see. My parents purchased several of these teddy bears years ago which are in still excellent shape. The staff here is amazing. I wish all American companies could model off of the Vermont teddy bear company

Ellie Sanders

So cute I die every time.

Thor Ritz

Very nice tour of factory. Worth doing.

Julius Rivera

If you are coming to this area and have someone that would love a teddy bear you have to come here. The tour is wonderful and only about 15 minutes so you won't be there all day. The history is very interesting for sure. A lot of options to customize a bear and go home with something with a lifetime warranty. One of the few things still being made that is worth the price.

Carol DelGaudio

Great factory tour ! See how the bears are made. Tour guides make this tour fun and informative.

Valerie Raymond

Pretty cool place for children. The employees are super friendly and seem to love their job. I think it was a little bit expensive overall but definitely worth the stop. It's all colorful and fun. You can even create your own teddy bear and get a birth certificate! I would have been even cooler if we could participate even more in the process instead of watching people doing for us.

Simone Rigden

Lovely tour from Gigi. Our family of adults had a great time.

Dix Winger

Amazing experience! Great place to visit for any occasion and any age!!!

Sonya Brown

Fun for kids and grown ups. Employees seem like they are having a good time too. You can see the quality and love that goes into their products.

Mark Demberger

Great staff provided an awesome experience in buying my daughter her first ever Vermont teddy bear.

Gerard Smith

Always ❤️ Love

Gary Russell

Loved that place. Friendly staff. So much to learn and share with one another from the tour. Highly recommend a planned visit.

Hazel Smith

Loved it. Great tour

Sean Mcnaylor

Shopped here for my kids excellent service good prices

J. A. Barrientos

Stopped by during our trip to Vermont. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it. She hugged every bear she could get her hands on. The tour was interesting and last about a half an hour. The gift shop has a lot to offer, and the grounds of the factory are very beautiful. There are some games to play, and a small snack area i.e. candy, chip, juice type of things. Over all had a great time.

Patricia Rogers

We enjoyed our visit very much. As a Vermont resident, it was nice to find out that children under 4 can receive a free bear, with accessories extra. Such a great deal. Our tour guide was very nice. A great time was had by all.

Deborah Swan

Had a good time, but too expensive to buy anything

Paul Feeney

Wonderful place to bring a child, regardless of their age. Found a wonderful fox, so I had to buy a second one for my granddaughter.

Elizabeth Matthews

Clean friendly staff

Andrea Gohl

Great time! I have always wanted a Vermont teddy bear and used to drool over the commercials as a kid in Michigan...

Linda's Derma Diaries

Because... teddy bears!

Sean Webber

Our daughter loved the tour and getting to build a teddy bear!

Nancy Penfield

It was a nice tour. The grands had fun with their cards to find paw prints all along the way. You even get a nice small bear to wear over the button you get with the admission fee.

Brittany Kathleen

I'm getting my first Vermont Teddy bear on the 12th of this month my boyfriend got her for me it's the world's softest Teddy bear it's going to have my name on it's paw I'm really excited to see and cuddle her I collect Teddy bears I have a lot of build a bears this will be my first Vermont Teddy bear I will probably get more from the Vermont Teddy factory hopefully I'm just really excited

Kevin Hufford

Had to let my daughter make a teddy

Lisa Stanley

So much fun.

Michele Ganter

Lots of fun for all ages. Very well set up, best day out!

Cameron Dale MacQuarrie

Very friendly and a beautiful campus

Dawn Yurescko

Kind if spur of the moment plans. We had a nice time, and the tour was informative and interesting. We bought my son a bear, which was expensive, but I have to say, it is the perfect shape for hugging!

Lori Sustak

Awesome tour. It was really nice to actually see the process in person rather than on a video like most tours do these days. Our tour guide, Jake, explained everything very well and was able to answer all questions. Very enjoyable tour. Beautiful gift shop as well.

Alyssa Coon

I bought my Buddy Bear from this company, and he is so soft and so very cute! The quality of the bear I got is definitely amazing! The best part about this company is this: there is a life long warranty of getting your bear fixed up, if it gets broken, if you do decide to purchase a bear from them! Anyways, I love this company and their bears so much! It's for sure my favourite brand, and I'd argue it's way better than Steiff, Build A Bear, etc. There's no better company to purchase from, other than them! Honestly, I am such a SATISFIED customer!

bridget devine

Lots of fun. The tour is inexpensive and does not take a long time. The teddy bears themselves are a bit expensive but since they are guaranteed for life they are worth it. Families may want to visit website for pricing ahead of time.

Jennifer Brown

Really cute and comfortable atmosphere.

Monica M

The tour is really fun and they make sure kids have a fun time. Interesting to see how their production goes into making each bear.

Lisa Wilson

A lot of fun for the teddy bear lover in you. Who can resist a teddy bear with a lifetime warranty? Pricey but well worth the cost. Very nice quality teddy bears.

David Hoadley

Great place! The gift shop is very cool. I can't wait to bring my kids for a factory tour!

Olivia k

It's an amazing experience. Great tours of factory. Awesome employees to help you find what you're looking for!! Great place for families!!

Joseph Marziliano

The interior of the factory and tour were delightful. Great place to bring the kids and we enjoyed the fair prices. Our tour guide was so informative and made if fun for the whole family!

Beverly Short

We loved it. Great tour

Jason Rand

Tour was interesting and the store had so many options. Kids love there new bears and outfit.

Ken Farrar

Great tour and tour guide.

Kaylee SINGERS OF ALL COLORS

Super friendly, kid friendly, clean. We all had a blast.

Christine Del Rossi

We had the BEST time!

Bernardo J

Great tour but gift shop was look out expensive.

Sharon Bar-Lev

Loved every second! My kids still dream on having the huge teddy bear

Kaitlin Tropper

Great experience. Great tour. One suggestion, if the tour guide gives out the teddy bears after negating it right, it would be fun to keep it instead of buying them at the end. I still end up getting two bears as I don’t know which colour (color for American English). Still wondering if you make only custom clothing for the bear?

jesse shaw

Good place to cool down after being outside. We did not do the tour. Clean bathrooms. Lots of bears to see, but not many interactive items. I get their draw, but too expensive for me. You can create your own teddy bear from a selection of parts.

Anthony Sourdiff

The tour was nice and short. Very interesting. The guide was really into it.

Don Combs

Had a lotof fun there! Shared time with friends and even got my son a book. Got some cool pics and had a lot of laughs! Interesting place!

Megan Schmidt

Drove 1 hour from our hotel to come to the factory. We came 5 minutes before close. I had been looking online and knew exactly what I wanted. When we came in we we're greeted by "just so you know we close in five minutes." "Just keep that in mind." I totally understand that that working in retail. Then we we're approached by someone else and he informed us that they do open tomorrow morning. I wanted to say "I get it you want us out." Very disappointing first experience. I'll have you say if I want another one of these years I would just order it on Amazon. It looked like the prices were cheaper on Amazon then in the store. Honestly if I didn't tell my daughter I would bring her back one of these bears i would have not bought anything with how bad their customer service was. Customer are the only reason why they get a pay check and they need to remember that.

Frank Mclean

There's a very fun tour .very educational on how they're made.

Scott Welling

Young kids love it.

Nick Brooks

Neat little tour, great fun for all.

Kade Buis

So cute. I love the Teddy Bear Factory more than Build A Bear!

Naomi Steel

Such an incredible stop! Affordable tour prices, great staff, military friendly.

JG DeBiasio

Surprisingly interesting and informative. Beary nice. Good tour and cute gift shop.

Erich Krause

Cool factory tour for kids and even adults. It was nice to be able to take our small dog with us in a carrier so we didn't have to worry about leaving her in the car with the heat.

Thomas Earley

Don't go on weekends if you want to see the factory in operation

Cynthia Ray

Husband and I brought our 4 kids. All of us enjoyed ourselves. Enjoyed how the tour guide interacted with everyone and asked us all questions. Definitely would visit again.

Teri Wood

Friendly, kind and helpful. Very family friendly!

David Gale Jr.

The tour was awesome and the teddy bears are equally as great. Got a teddy bear that when purchased they will also donate a bear to a kid in need. Such a great company

Lorie Reyes

Nice experience with the family! It was very cute to see the process of creating a beautiful teddy bear.

judy berger

I love visiting Vermont Teddy Bear. I have many bears from here and I love seeing the new costumes that they have for the bears.

Tracy Wanjagi

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing guided tour of the factory. Large affordable gift shop with a wide range of stuffed animals to choose from. Great place to take pictures too. You'll definitely leave there with a stuffed animal!

truetexas

Had a great time at this place, loved the tour. Hannah rocked the tour!! Great for adults and kids.

Cody Stokes

Vermont Teddy Bears has amazing customer service. There was a mistake with my shipping, my bear was suppose to be shipped to me before Valentines Day and it was getting to me the day of. I called and their staff was very friendly and corrected the issue by overnighting me another bear with no additional cost, to make sure that it arrived before Valentines Day and to just refuse the bear that shows up on the 14th. Thank you Vermont Teddy Bears and I will do a follow up review on the quality of the bear when it arrives.

Anthony Dacunto

My daughter loved it!

Stefanie Orenstein

Loved the tour, Julia our tour guide was spunky and funny! She did a great job! Bears range from $20-80$ and up! They could make the bear making experience a little more of a big deal but it was still fun, kids enjoyed it!

Diana Carr

So fun! Tour guide was inviting & informative. Great experience.

John Lane

Nice place pricey but nice

Keith V

Fun place to visit with kids. They offer a factory tour and a gift shop with a good selection of bears and outfits. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Greg Kehn

Tour was fun! Great made in America product.

Jennifer Duquette

Always a pleasure stopping here. Great tour of the factory and of course we absolutely love the bears and their outfits!

Tim Butcher

Great for family trip

Paige

Super cute place! The tours are adorable and especially fun for children. But be warned: these bears are NOT cheap. I think the cheapest ones are $50. They are high quality though and have a lifetime warranty. If you come you will probably not leave without one. If you take a child on that tour expect to buy them a bear.

Todd Spain

It just such a cool experience. To see all the children's faces and the adults faces when doing the tour. To learn how the Vermont Teddy Bear was created by one guy just to make his children happy. It goes to show you if you have a dream chase it and never give up and do what you love.

E Lins

Overwhelming, beautiful and cozy

Priti Mehta

What great experience!!! I planned the visit thinking my daughter will enjoy it but my son enjoyed it as well!!! Awesome friendly staff and it's hard not to spend with the number of options they have to dress your furry friend!

Marcus V

A truly wonderful experience --- felt like a kid again.

Kaela Rose

The tour was amazing and everyone their is so sweet!

Theresa Lowe

Such a neat experience!!

Austin Hodges

Great fun for kids and adults alike. Tour was interesting and our 2yr old loved making his own bear with the tour guide afterwards.

Cherie Burton

Very Cute place

Nickie McCann

Good factory tour. From the perspective of a 3 year old, the best part is the really big teddy bears and the button bears. We enjoyed the bear puns. Most of the tour is a sales pitch. Parents be aware, these are not inexpensive. Only time will tell it they are worth the money. Many ways to customize your stuffy but they are all expensive.

Angelina Schroeder-Riccadonna

Nice place, but call before to confirm hours. The website listed that they closed at 4, and were giving tours until 2:30. When we got there ( after driving 9 hours) they told us the tours were over and they were closing at 4. Then, a manager corrected the staff member and said they were closing at 2. So, we quickly built bears and left. Not the experience we were hoping for. Staff was nice, but we left disappointed. There were also families trying to enter after us.

Tom Reinhart

Fun little tour. Good way to spend some time.

Dewitt Bradbury

Great place for kids and adults not so much for toddlers 5 years old and above would enjoy!9 there's bears are $20 and up

Jamison Fennel

Amazing place.. Way better than build a bear. It's definitely a good time and a place to go see. Kid's will love it.

Dave Newcomer

Fun place you have to stop there at least once when you're in Burlington

Christine HH

A fun place. The factory tour was great! Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Its EXTREMELY expensive here.

Kristin Harrer

I received the world's softest bear for both of my kids and now buy them for my friends when they have a new baby. They are expensive, but my kids play and snuggle with their bears nonstop.

Johnny LeHane

Stopped in on a whim. Cute but not for the teenager set.

Marco G

Was a fun place to work

Chelsea King

Cute. They need to get their story straight about why it's called a Teddy Bear... a few inconsistencies in different docents stories as well as the story they post on the wall, but overall it's a fun expereince. Very expensive bears, but they're clearly crafted with care. Makes a great gift... I do warn you about stopping in with your kid, though. They WILL want something and that something might not be cheap. Granted, it will last forever because they make repairs or replacements for free for life.

Raymond Gagnon

Wonderful for all ages

Richard Cross

hi everybody I want to write this review of Vermont teddy bearI bought one of the Bears that has the light in the stomach and it seems like a little lullaby songs so when it arrived today this is the 14th of March 2019 it had no batteries in it and it's got one of them little tiny screws on the back that you got a gun all over the city to find a little tiny screwdriver Phillips to take that little screw out of there and spend 80 some dollars for a bear and they can't even have three batteries put in it so that one of the rides at the location so it'll work now I got to spend the rest of my day hunting batteries and you end hunting the little Phillips screwdriver I only been to one auto parts store and they don't have something that smallthis will be the last bear that I ever buy from Vermont teddy bear I was at another department store the other day and there are bears same type bears are at least 50 $60 cheaper there so they did not notify me by email to let me know that I purchased was completed that did not send me no notification where I could track my bear through UPS so I don't know what happened this time with Vermont bear company but I will not buy no more bears from them for myself you can do what you want to people but you can get a much cheaper at another big department store check it outI say these remarks underneath the freedom at them freedom of speech free speech

Anirudh Modi

Great fun for the kids and the staff are nice

Mike Van Sickle

So cool to check out. Love Vermont and can't wait to go back!

Robyn Trinkle

A very cute place to visit and get a build-a-bear type of experience but take a your and learn the history of this company!

h gordon upchurch

Once in a lifetime experience.

Antonio Irizarry

U'll need a good amount of $$$ to enjoy here

James Hilton

Really cool company and fun factory tour, more puns, about bears, than one can bare... But bare with them, they can barely contain themselves

Brian Hoover

It was a lot of fun. The tour was cheap and interesting. The factory isn't running on the weekend but it is interesting enough to see it when they aren't. Know that they will probably be convinced to buy a bear when the tour is done. They are expensive and I never would have thought of spending this much on a bear but I did and I don't regret it.

R C

Best $8 spent for our family in a while! It is $4 per adult and kids 12 and under are free! They have a super cute building for plenty of pics. Toys outside for the kids to play with. Handicap parking is nice and easy right up front. The tour is totally handicap accessible. For those with walkers, wheelchairs, or unsteady gait even. A few benches for sitting are throught the stops on the tour. Though it is not a huge amount of walking/distance covered. No stairs or elevators either, just nice wide walkways and gradual ramps. Tours leave every 30 mins and you get a super cute pin as your admission ticket that later you get a bear skin to put on! The tour is so worth it! It was fun, interactive, and they have it set up so nicely! I was very surprised how much I liked it! They have seats and tables inside and outside. You can have a nice meal that you brought, or get some lite eats to purchase inside their snack area. They also have a penny stamping machine. You can purchase so many different bears in the gift shop, mostly costing $40 on up, along with all of their outfitting needs. They do have some inexpensive trinkets like pens and pencils. They have a buildabear type set up also. Kids pick the bear then help fill the bear etc. The super basic...yet still super cute bears start at $20, jointed bears were $30 or $40 (don't remember) and fully customizable truly build a bear piece by piece was $60 I think it was. I was super suprised at how much I loved this tour, how nice the facilities are, and how friendly the staff was!
