I still remember touring this boat as a child. In that case I think really did go through the whole thing. I may spend less time on it on visits now, but it's always a definite stop on any museum trip, and the story of how it arrived at its present home is fascinating.

This is set in the Shelburne museum in VT. This steamship has been fully restored and is so beautiful. It sits on a hill in the Museum. The story of the ship is amazing as how the ship got to it's final resting place. It tells the story of a whole different era in American History. This is so worth the trip. The whole museum is handicap accessible and the people working there really treat you well.

My dad was a deckhand, he showed my his bunk. Around 1944-47. No one alive knows how to run the rocking arm steam engines! They should built a new modern duplicate I could be a deckhand at 70, don't you think??
