REVIEWS OF Spirit of Ethan Allen IN Vermont

Nothing special. It is a very slow and relaxing cruise especially if you take it at the sunset. It is basically a moving restaurant with very expensive ticket and food. The worst thing about it is the tour guide who gives information about the Lake and what we see. He repeats the same old story of conquering the lands and the Lake and how they massacred native Americans with such a joy and pride that made me disgusted.

Dale Buckner

Great cruise ship, and lunch on ship

michael boron

It is a nice trip. The clam showder is a must have.

Micheal Hatch

Absolutely loved the cruise and would highly recommend it to everyone. We recently did the sunset cruise in May at the end of our vacation and it was absolutely beautiful. The crew and the staff were super nice and I honestly think the only thing we would have asked to be different was for some warmer weather, but obviously that is the issue with going in May and Spirit of the Ethan Allen can't change that either. Like I said I would highly recommend this if you are spending anytime in or around Burlington.

Connie Bayeur

Pleasant, peaceful ride!

Nancy Murphy

We had a wonderful time on the luncheon cruise although the coffee and ice tea were extra and when are cups were refilled we were charged for each cup. 2 of us had coffee and one of us had ice tea and it was 18.00. the view was spectacular and the tour guide on the loud speaker pointed out some very interesting sites. Overall it was very enjoyable.

Nice cruise and lunch was delicious

Love it. Great trip and views. Recommended

Finding Beauty In the Little Things

My husband and I attended the Harvest Moon cruise last night. We had a very nice time even though it was cloudy and we couldn't see the Harvest moon. The food was excellent, turkey was very moist and flavorful, the squash was absolutely delicious! The only complaints we had were that online the GF and vegetarian items were clearly marked but not so much in the actual buffet line. The cards were small and hard to read and I didn't notice clear indications which items were allergy friendly. My husband went up to order a few glasses of Glenlivet scotch. The bartender added ice to the glasses without asking first. Not a big deal, but not everyone likes ice in their drinks

Gary Pasquale

Great place and the staff go out of there way to make sure your happy. I had set this trip up so my best friend could purpose to his girlfriend all of the staff knew what was happening they went way beyond to help me out and did a video for us . The food and view was 10 star's

Steve Burt

Had a lunch tour on the Spirit of Ethan Allen with three other people. The tour itself was great, and we had a beautiful day to do it. The food was the weakest part of the trip. Pretty bland, the salad was very fresh, but the macaroni & cheese and chili were weak. Having said that,. I would do the tour again especially with guests from out of town.

Laura Spottiswood

My husband and I were visiting our daughter in Burlington and we took her and her boyfriend on the champagne brunch. The buffet and mimosas were fantastic. The service was professional and friendly. We truly enjoyed the experience and can't wait to come back and take another cruise.

Iain Fletcher

Very good lunch buffet the narration on the places of interest and history very entertaining cost for 1 1/2 hour cruise including food about $110 total drinks extra,

Marna Ehrech

It is so much fun seeing Burlington from the water ... A whole different perspective. And during foliage season, of course, it's a treat!

James Law

What an awesome experience! From making the reservations on-line to getting to the ship, boarding, sailing and departing, and everything in between was just perfect. The entire staff was extremely courteous, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. The food was exceptional, definitely 5 star, and your sailing to boot. The price was very reasonable. My wife and I will definitely be doing this again very soon. We did the brunch cruise, that is on the list to do again as well as a dinner and mystery cruise. A MUST DO! The ship was very clean, carpeted and warm and welcoming. An AWESOME time for everyone of All ages!!! SOEA is the Best!!

Julie Lake

No hassle ticket purchase and nice cruise on the lake. Larger boat so it was not crowded.

Shery Liberty

Very pleasant experience. Very good food, beautiful scenery, wait staff is excellent. I want to do this again.

Erin Lopez

I got married on the spirit of Ethan Allen last night. It was a magical experience. The staff was wonderful, cheery, and Michelle was amazing. Everything was done exactly the way I hoped it would be. Elegant, sophisticated, fun. The food was divine. The weather didn't completely cooperate but I was reminded that rain during a wedding is good luck. I cannot recommend this place enough.

wendy hirschman

We had a family reunion on a scenic cruise. There were 12 of us ranging in age from 80-10. It was a perfect activity that all of us could take part in. We had incredible weather and we all really enjoyed the day. We didn’t have any of the food but we did have a few drinks. The cons were the high price of the cruise and the fact the menu said frozen drinks but they weren’t available.

Jerry Albert

A nice narrated cruise on Lake Champlain. We learned many interesting facts about the area with historical insights. Dinner is available, but we elected to forego this option.

Phung Pham

We took the lunch cruise for a reunion event and it turned out to be a great activity/venue for it. Food option is available if you want it. Especially on a beautiful day, it's a great activity and you get to see the sights on Lake Champlain. And the boat ride time length was just right (about 90 min), enough time to have a meal, walk around on the boat with friends, enjoy the breeze and great way to spend the afternoon.

Miltha Martínez

Beautiful view of Lake Champlain. I recommend it if you're in Burlington.

Ruthie Murray

Our daughter and her friends booked a cruise for the evening of May 17th to celebrate their pending graduations from UVM. Naturally, she sent the online booking form to me to complete. As I went through the form, I saw an option for cake, and thought that might be kind of cute, so I filled out the field for the cake's message to read: "Yay, Jules." After some thought, I realized that maybe champagne, bobbing up and down on a boat, and sugar might not be a great combo for her, so I went for the pizza instead. When I received the confirmation, it showed that I'd forgotten to clear the field for the cake's message. Oh well. No big deal. I figured they'd just disregard. Imagine my surprise (and my daughter's delight) when she texted us photos of the pizza when it arrived, with pepperoni spelling out "YAY JULES"! Her friends took a million photos - they had so much fun with it! It never occurred to me that someone would go to that trouble, and it made for an unforgettable night for the whole group. The captain even said "yay Jules" over the PA...I mean, what?! So thoughtful, so amazing, so wonderful.

Marc II Réjouis

Great family activity! The narrated scenic cruise was informative and really gave me a greater appreciation for the breathtaking landscape. The boat was very clean and the crew was friendly. However, the drinks were VERY expensive and there was no air conditioning in the reception hall (which could have been a nice shelter from the hot midday sun). Overall, a wonderful experience!

Constance Paun

Went to the cruise to enjoy the sights of Lake Champlain with guests from Europe. After buying tickets and boarding we were herded to the bow of the boat meant to accommodate at most 20 people . Noticed a few guests trying to go upstairs but were being turned away due to a large booking. They mentioned that it was closed due to the large group. Three large areas all closed to regular guests not with the large group. We went upstairs and the nice young waitress indicated it was closed but we could sit off to the side, like unwelcome guests. We paid $100 to feel like unwelcome guests. We decided to exit the boat due to feeling this way. The ticket booth attendants said we could wait 2 hours for the next boat but refused to refund and rudely pointed at the printed sign on the wall. After calling the office to complain, who initially stated that a refund was not possible, and after demanding a refund repeatedly the office finally issued a refund. The ticket counter attendant one of whom indicated was the marketing manager decided after I went to the counter to make sure they were aware we never boarded the boat, felt the need to slam the ticket window shut after I had left. Poor customer service. It is 2017. I cannot understand a company in this day and age who takes a customer's money, doesn't deliver of the service that is due, and then makes you jump through hoops to get your money back when the service was not accepted and never used due to the company not keeping their promise. We got our refund, but it ruined our day and a special trip for our visitors. Poor Hospitality.

Patty Coulombe

Nice history lesson while e enjoying the sights. Enjoyable!

pop88089

Awesome view of the lake and surrounding mountains

Stephen Fazekas

Reasonable price fun feels dated. I don't expect a ship to be a luxury yacht by any means but I also don't expect to walk into 1994. Some new paint and decor and a remodel of the bathrooms would be great

Nichole Sears

My family and I had lunch on the lake with Spirit of Ethan Allen. I felt the tickets were a great value for the food, beverages and atmosphere. The staff was very kind. I wish the narration was louder - the parts I was able to hear were very interesting and I enjoyed learning the rich history of the area. I would definitely recommend lunch on the lake and hope to go back again!

Timothy Lenahan

Amazing food and an awesome cruise around the lake!

Bonnie Parks

Beautiful ride on the lake, nice people

Susan Sautter

Beautiful cruise on the lake.

Kathy Connolly

Went to a wedding on the boat and we were treated like royalty by the staff. It was a beautiful day allowing us to be inside and out. Couldn't have had a nicer experience

Jason Labes

Super fun, great crew, comfortable ship. And a great introduction to boats for my daughter.

Douglas Littlefield

Nice trip with interesting facts about the region, I've lived in the area since 1968 and learned thing I"d never known. Clean vessel, nice crew.....highly recommend it.

Bob Green

This cruise was very fun. The staff were superb and the buffet was awesome. I would recommend the Sunday Brunch cruise to my family and friends.

Cindy Wanser

I would highly recommend a cruise on the spirit of ehan allen. I cannot say enough how friendly and helpful the staff is. The food is excellent and the scenery is beautiful! We had so much fun. Have done two so far and looking forward to many more.

Karen Riccardelli

We had a wonderful time celebrating my 50th birthday! Not only were the views amazing, but the food and entertainment really made for a night to remember! I look forward to another cruise with my family!

Annie Pickett

Was a very nice lunch buffet.

Darlene J

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch cruise. We were impressed with the choices offered on the lunch buffet. Since we read earlier reviews, we were aware that drinks weren't included, so we were prepared. We had a lovely lunch and a beautiful cruise with lots of history, which we enjoyed.

Karen Lewis

Very relaxing. Food was great. Cruise could have been longer.

Kenn Jayne

The cruise itself was great. The rather large, sweaty, bartender on the top floor a different story. On this particular day he was sweating profusely mopped his sweat with his bare hands, and then proceeded to use said hands to get the ice for my drink. When I pointed it out his reply was "Well aren't you pleasant thanks for coming up to see me today." The phrase you really can't find good help...true.

Louis-Philippe Poisson

We really enjoyed the night. We took a 2 hours sail at dinner time. Food and service were great, and sights were beautiful. Best way to visit Lake Champlain.

Margaret Gough

Totally worth the money!! Loved it!!

Bill Perkins

Tabatha Blanchard

Great experience and very friendly helpful staff. The tour of the lake and explanation of some of the local geographical features of the lake was very well organized. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Very quick service and a great boarding area

Janine Davies

An informative lake tour of Lake Champlain aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen.

Deborah Elizabeth Panto

We celebrated my grandmother 95th Birthday on the Spirit of Ethan Allen back in August and it was an amazing experience, the food was great, perfect service, we had balloons on the table for her. She was very surprised and happy. We couldn't ask for better.

Loren J Ronyack

Cruise was beautiful, service was severely lacking

Rex Jarman

They understand the 2nd amendment.

Chris Lafrance

Went on the Lobstah on the Lake cruise, it was awesome! Thanks for the great evening and a great way to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary!

Ali Philbrook

I had a pleasant experience a couple years ago and decided to book another cruise for my mom’s birthday last night. However, this time around our experience was subpar, to say the least. It started when the man taking the boarding passes made a very rude and condescending comment regarding a personal matter I’d been discussing with my mom on the walk down the ramp. Then, we went to the top deck to sit and were told all the tables around the perimeter, closest to the water, were reserved although nobody else came to sit there. We had to sit in the middle of the seating area on the ship and couldn’t see anything, it felt like sitting in a school cafeteria. As soon as the boat left the dock, the wait staff started preparing for the next cruise following ours and took away the “reserved” tables. I understand they were on a time crunch, but in my opinion it was very tacky and unprofessional to prepare for the next cruise during other people’s experience and take away space and tables that we paid to use. The waitress was very nice although it was 30 minutes before we got our drinks, and we were only able to get one drink the whole time before we were given the bill and headed back to the dock. The tour was about an hour, which seemed shorter than I remembered, but honestly we were ready to get off that boat. There are other cruiselines and next time we will utilize one of those. Tacky, money hungry, and rude- we will not be cruising with this line again.

Mark Tierney

A great and informative cruise around Lake Champlain. The cruise sets out from Burlington, VT near the ECHO Leahy center. While the Ethan Allen provides a "Lunch on the Lake" at noon we did not take advantage of that option. Having one adult son and one teen we did order food and the food was GREAT! This is the second time we have taken a cruise. The first one was a cruise specific to the revolutionary era while this one was generally informative about the area, Burlington, the Lake and history. A great and relaxing time on the Lake

Kathy Brown

Very good narrative and dinner for a cruise on the lake

big j Beaupre

very nice people and a good place to host events i can't wait to return sometime soon

Cynthia Howard

My husband and I just completed the captain's dinner cruise--a very disappointing experience. There was a private wedding event that monopolized the top floor, and most of the staff. The cruise started at 6:30 and went until 8:50. We were not served our entree until 8:20 due to staff shortages. The cruise includes a dance hosted by a D-J, but due to the serving staff needing to walk across the dance floor to serve guests, no one danced until we were approaching the dock near the end of the cruise. We spent close to $200 for this dinner cruise, only to go back to the hotel and order a pizza. Temp on boat was very hot for the first 45 min until the boat got well underway. Do not book this cruise if there is a private event elsewhere on board.

Deann Murphy

Such a smooth ride, didnt spill a drop from the fabulous luncheon buffet. Perfect organization in feeding that many people in a calm unfrenzied way. Windows all around the ship allowed everyone to have good viewing. Staff curteous & efficient. Interesting dialogue describing history of area & points of interest along our hour h 1/2 ride. It was a perfect afternoon.

Yoga Chick

Don't make me be stuck on a boat just to watch the sunset

Diane Kelchner

Beautiful boat ride, historical narration, and buffet on Lake Champlain

Melissa Holland

Nice vessel, good views, good food, friendly staff.

Shelley Hazen

This was a lovely cruise. We went on the Champagne on Champlain Brunch; the food was delicious and plentiful. I recall quiche, baked ham, very tasty cheesy potatoes, hash. The food was served very promptly after we started sailing and the staff was very attentive and polite. The views were absolutely gorgeous--I live in the area so I've visited the lake my whole life, but this tour showed me reaches of the lake that were new to me. After eating, you can move about the boat freely and enjoy the views, which were gorgeous. If you go on the upper deck, you can listen to a historical narration, which was quite interesting. My only complaint was the music, which was cheesy and a little annoying, but everything else was perfect.

Shawn Wiegel

I bought a cruise on The Spirit of Ethan Allen for my wife's birthday. It was an absolutely incredible experience. The staff and lunch meal was incredible. The ride on lake Champlain was a first for both of us and this was one unforgettable way to go. Thank you.

Pam Stonier

What a perfect summer evening. We experienced sharing sunset on the Ethan Allen in peace with Crew, Staff and Passengers from all over the world. What a refreshing experience at this time in our world! The crew commanded the boat with such care. The sailing experience was navigated calmly. Gentle breezes, and backdrops of New York State and Vermont's scenic mountains, painted with changing colors from the setting sun gave us a wealth of scenic pictures. We enjoyed watching scull rowing, divers off high rocky ledges, and relaxed enjoying the offerings of cheeses, bread, fruit, wine in a checkered-clothed picnic basket - beautifully presented by the waiter. The highlight was the extraordinary sunset - deeply colorful in its changing phases, with a clear sharp moon adding its light to the scene. Thank you for a perfect sail.

Russell Garcia

Great sunset dinner cruise! Well worth it!

Geraldine Sanchez

Food was ok, service slow, even tho there wasnt very many people booked on this trip, hate to see what the service would be if they had a full boat. The cruise ship excurtion was informative and nice. Paid extra to sit by a window. Not worth the money.

Barbara Holmsten

We spent a lovely afternoon on the boat. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and service, swift. boat was clean and very welcoming. The presentation of lunch was beautiful and delicious. The turkey was not only impressive looking, but one of the best I've ever had. The day was perfect, the only thing better would have been a little more time on the boat.

Richard Turner

Did the lunch cruise...nice boat ride and the food was ok...buffet style...chicken was a little tough for my palet.

Brenda Walsh

This was my second dinner cruise, the first one was many years ago with some very close friends and my memories of that cruise are just amazing with a beautiful sunset. This past cruise was the gift of a dear friend for our 40th wedding anniversary, we were so sad in the beginning because it was raining but it didn’t take long for us to start having fun, the DJ was very nice asking us for song choices and a small wedding party didn’t seem to mind us joining in with their wedding celebration

sudip kumar Basu

Fantastic views from the boat. Good running commentary.

Linda Brink

Very nice cruise. The lunch buffet was wonderful.

Billy Newton

We had our wedding on the Spirit of Ethan Allen. Everyone had a wonderful time! Thanks :-D

Kim Metzler

A little pricey and the narration needs to be updated but the food on the luncheon cruise was great. Good service too. We have only taken the luncheon cruise and want to try a dinner or theme cruise. Nice views from all over the boat. Great for kids too.

liz cress

Fun adventure beautiful lake and sunset.

Roman O

Clean and well maintained ship. Food is relatively inexpensive. Narrative story they tell you on board is a little flowed.

Laura Fazekas

This was a fun little cruise. We went with friends from out of town and they loved it. It was very clean and the food was okay.

Andrew Kim

Nice view and good service, but little boring

Rebecca Prigge

I highly recommend the scenic tour for anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful views of Lake Champlain and hear more about the history of the lake/Burlington. The crew does a fantastic job taking care of the guests throughout the cruise.

Emily Kapostas

Very much enjoyed being out on the water and the educational tour! The tour has a lot of geology and history (both subjects I love!) You can not bring food or drinks on this boat it is sort of a restaurant boat which we didn't realize. Food wasn't the best but the views and the tour are awesome!

Scott Friedman

Professional and courteous crew. Good meals. Great for a summertime event for groups.

Rebecca Smedy

Great Mothers day brunch all was beautiful.

Glenda Kippes

Very nice cruise, the food was good and the entertainment was excellent. We boarded easily, even with the big crowd. They were very organized.

William Turinetti

The Cabin was hot except right up against the windows where the A/C ducts were. They were straight down which did not allow airflow to the rest of the cabin.

Julie Julie

Two of us took the lunch cruise today and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. It was set up with long tables but plenty of space to pass by and plenty of food. Everything was fresh and the staff was excellent. The cruise was smooth and informative. It's not fancy but clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Maureen Neyhart

Enjoyable experience. Nice "cruise" on Lake Champlain. Was difficult hearing the narration.

Brian Joyce

We have been on the Spirit of Ethan Allen twice, once for the luncheon cruise, an once for the champagne brunch cruise. Both times we were very happy! Both served buffet style, the food was delicious and plentiful. The staff was helpful and courteous, and the boat was very clean. The lunch cruise had the scenic information track on the speaker system which was both educational and informative. At brunch they played nice light jazz uniterrupted by the scenic information track over the speaker system, which was pleasant. Would definitely cruise again.

Sandeep Pathak

Amazing cruise. I had a lot of fun and took the evening cruise which gives you the best of day and night. Specially mesmerizing during the sun set. I recommend this.

Jazzie Red

These are some reviews from the boat. We went on the harvest moon buffet cruise. I thought the fish was so wonderful. They barely give you a sliver cake for dessert. You can see thought it. But overall, a fun time.

Anthony Avery

Staff was very friendly, boat and ride was nice. Salad and rolls great. Roast was awful chicken too. Fish and pasta were good. Cake was good but strawberry's were not ripe.

elizabeth maldonado

On Sunday June 24 we cruised on the Ethan Allen for dinner & music I booked for 4 to Celebrate 40 Anniversary. We had the best time even though it rained and we didn’t get to see sunset. The staff made up for that our server Fabian was very sweet and attentive. The buffet was DELICIOUS!!!!! Thanks to the staff/Adam in the Kitchen. We LOVED having Adam & Fabian & the girls join all of us on the floor for the last dance SO MUCH FUN!!!! Hats off to the DJ HE was accommodating & thoughtful he came around to all the tables to talk and ask for requests and mentioned everyone who was celebrating a special occasion. This is a cruise you can do w/the whole family!! If you visit Vermont you must include this in your plans you will not regret it!!! RAIN OR SHINE!!! Oh I also need to include the TICKET man he set the mood from the start w/his sense of humor & BIG smile. Lisa Maldonado Chelmsford MA.

Jacob Settle

The food was ok.. the tour was nice.. don't expect too much out of the food though... I would recommend this experience to a friend

JG DeBiasio

Delightful ride on a big comfortable boat. Well narrated. Good food. Nice staff. Parking is in paid lot near aquarium. We were on the 2pm trip.

John Thyson

Nice boat ride to see the lake.

Joanna Colton

Great place and service, I am looking forward for one more cruise before the summer ends.

Stefan Nako

Extremely disappointed. Pricing did NOT reflect pricing shown in their lri Ted brochures. Instead of $60, we had to pay $75 for 2 adults and our 2 year old. Once in board we ordered a beer, a diet coke and milk. We received the beer, and a run and coke. Sent the rum and coke back, they returned with another drink (still no milk for kid). Let the kid drink the coke which was fine until my wife tool a sip and realized they had infact given us a rum and coke again!! Eventually after asking twice we got the milk for our 2 year old. In a glass with a cocktail straw. Food was good, as were the views Finally the bill came. They charged us an additional $25 on top of the $75 already. This included the beer (expected) the rum and coke (not ordered) and $3 for a small glass of milk!

Susan Drapeau

Susan D This was definitely a 5 star Captain’s Dinner Cruise. The food was served hot and delicious, the service was outstanding, the weather that night was a perfect 10! The music was wonderful! There was nothing that could have made this cruise any better! And of course my dance instructor and I had a blast dancing the night away!

Sara Ann

Amazing food and people that work on the boat!

Rob Boudreau

Had a fantastic 10am cruise on a beautiful day. Informative narrated cruise.

Zoran Bjelic

Great views, super friendly staff all around good food and cocktails. Had a party of 20, not one was disappointed in any way. Kudos to all at Spirit of Ethan Allen for providing a great service and a phenomenal experience!!!

Cynthia Noel

Fine mid summer buffet dinner tour! Great family fun time!

andrea mysliwiec

Michelle was horrible, as a bride with a crowd of 105 people aboard this boat tonight I was extremely disappointed in the choice of the head manager Michelle L! I won’t recommend this place as long as this women is still in charge!!!! The wait staff was awesome and bartenders were great

Clarissa Stitely

Amazing sunset on a warm summer day. Is there ever not one?

Singh Khalsa

We took after noon tour. Crew and service was great. It was end of May yet so cold. Had hot beverages from on board cafe. It shows nearby places and good scenic views.

Barbara Loftus

Such a great way to see more of Lake Champlain!

Good to Grow

Nice boat ride but most of the time you are mingling with your family and friends like I was. Good food and a great time. Worth going and worth having an event, YES.

Karen Sharpless

Well narrated cruise

Allison Stewart

Denied service dog access!!!! I have POTS and I have a cardiac alert dog & another one that is training due to the fact the current one getting old. My access was denied at the door because my husband was carrying them, Since it was raining a lot. Not only that, the young man at the front was very unfriendly and did not want to give us the proof of refund. Simply said he will do it later in the day and slammed the door on us.

eric j

We took the sunset cruise on this boat. We pre ate dinner before we came on...if we had known the food would be inexpensive and good we would’ve ordered dinner on the boat. They have a pretty good menu- we had some appetizers and they were good. A varied drink menu. The wait staff has their work cut out for them as it’s not easy to work on a boat but they are really nice and hard working. We saw an amazing sunset on the New York side of the lake as the sun set below the Adirondack Mountains. Get your camera ready and make sure you’ve got a good grip on it so you don’t drop it overboard- it happens to the best of us. If my review was helpful please consider selecting the “like” button below. Happy sailing if you choose to cruise on this boat!

Robert Fischer

Great trip. Comfortable ride with narration of prominent features. Good value and very relaxing!

nicole spencer

We took the sunset cruise, not the dinner sunset cruise, and it was great. We got the chance to sit on the bow-at the front of the ship, and was able to grab a table as well too. The bow had tables and chairs, as well as benches to sit outside and enjoy the weather and view. There was table service available to us which included drinks-tea, coffee, soda, and alcohol, as well as some snacks-from pizza, desserts, spinach artichoke dip, and a cheese sampling basket. Nice spread, and the service was great too. Well worth the cost of the cruise. A great way to spend the evening, just enjoying the views, and the weather, as well as each others company. When we return to VT, we would love to come cruise with the Ethan Allen again. Thanks for a great experience.

Keith M

Food was really good, beer selection was OK, temp inside the middle seating area was warm. It would be great if they could get a breeze through there. The weather was perfect so I couldn't ask for much more.

Susan Stankiewicz

Loved it!!!!!!. Crew could not have done anything more.Food was exceptional!

Bill Beck

Peg Purdue

Austin Mills

Had a great evening with my husband. It was a relaxing atmosphere with a lovely gentleman playing the piano for us. With kids an the busyness of life it's hard to get away. When you do have time to get away you want to relax and enjoy yourself. We did juts that on the 2 hour dinner cruse. Wonderful servers, great drinks from the bar and an amazing seasonal buffet. I just can't say enough good. Worth every penny spent.

Heidi and Tom Cross

Awesome! This was my favorite Burlington activity, sure to send the wind through your hair and put a smile on your face. Service, food, drinks and views were all fantastic. Each day has special cruises very reasonably priced - Scenic, Lunch, Brunch, Sunset, Murder Mystery, Dinner Dance and "Lobstah" on the Lake. Fun for all ages, don't miss it!

Daniela Filmer

Gorgeous views of fall foliage during our cruise around Lake Champlain - highly recommend!

Dara Buchy

Outstanding! We witnessed a coast guard review of the crews procedures. Man over board rescue was speedy, efficient and comforting!

My wife and I and family had a large group for one of the last Lobster cruises of the year in 2019. Food was spectacular and very well presented and organized. Staff was amazing and paid close attention to all details. Bathrooms were spotless as was the entire vessel. Great dj on both floors! I would highly recommend the Spirit of Ethan Allen for any private family function or corporate event. Topnotch organization!!!!

My family and I went on the July 3rd firework cruise and it was the best way to watch Burlington fireworks!!! You get a great meal, beverages and a view of not only the fireworks but a beautiful Burlington sunset. The crew was very nice and prom't to serving you, the DJ was very entertaining and the boat was packed with just the right amount of people to make the night feel fun and full of people... but NOT too many people to where the boat was overly crowded. I have lived in Burlington for 6 years now, and will always plan to go on a dinner cruise after this first time experience. I am also 24, and my siblings are 19 and 16 and we had a wonderful time along with my mother! Great for all ages and celebrations!!!

Had a great time in the cruise. The water and the scenery were beautiful.

We took a sunset cruise as a work activity. The food was expectedly mediocore. The piano and singer were somewhat entertaining, but made it hard to have a conversation with people at your table. The sun went down quickly, so there wasn't much to see on our cruise, and there was no narration about the area, history, etc. It seems like they offer a cruise that has this, but it wasn't on our cruise.

Enjoyed the dinner cruise a lot and the food was excellent

The Labor Day cruise we took was great! My husband and I went on the scenic tour last year with friends and decided to give his mother the same scenic tour as a gift. We took the cruise on Labor Day and had a great time. Despite having grown up and lived in northern Vermont, my mother-in-law had never had the opportunity to go on a Lake Champlain tour. She thoroughly enjoyed the narrated cruise. We started at the back of the boat, where we ordered drinks and snacks. After finishing our iced teas and delicious fruit and cheese plate, we moved to the front of the boat. It was a beautiful day with many sailboats out on the lake. We were able to park nearby and did not have to wait long to board.

Went on a Friday night Lobster on the Lake cruise. I know of no place that you can go and have lobster and prime rib for under $20.00. The staff is very friendly and professional. D.J. was great. Went around and asked for special requests. Beautiful sunset.

We had our wedding on the Spirit of Ethan Allen. The coordinator, Kristin, made everything as easy as possible! Our wedding was perfect with her assistance. The only "hiccup" was that it rained so we could not have our ceremony outdoors as planned. It was extremely easy to move it indoors at the last minute, and it was still gorgeous. We had the Champagne on the Champlain brunch buffet, which was delicious. The decorations that I had brought were perfectly arranged. And to top it off, our waitstaff was extremely friendly and the service was amazing. There are not enough good things I can say about the SOEA!
