Though I loved having lots to read in the one room with memorabilia, there wasn't much to see in the house. The grounds are beautiful, and the walking path is great. The student who was overseeing the house for the day provided helpful info as well.

Aimee Annichiarico

Quaint and inspiring!

My favorite poet

John Toscano

Great display and intro to Frost aura.

A guided tour will be much better with more things to display. Othetwise, it's quite small and boring.

Steven Horn

Nice home from the outside, it was unfortunately closed when we stopped by.

Maurizia Trombini

Honestly it’s kinda lame

Good history but not really much to see. Some pictures and readings on the walls of the interior rooms. My sister wanted to see it, but I probably would not have gone on my own.

Philip Eubanks

There were birches; there were roads diverging and yellow woods; there was a little house and inside it mostly focused on the "Stopping by the Woods" poem. But this was everything I'd always imagined Robert Frost is and was, and it made me long for a life like that.

Susan Visakowitz

Well curated. Excellent overview of Frost's life and work. Thorough, but easy to consume. Give yourself 1 hour plus some time to wander the grounds.

The day before I went to the house, I visited his grave. The grave is pretty, and you get to see a whole bunch of other cool headstones, and the first church, which is an historical site. But I left there not "feeling it," though it is still worth the visit. The house, however, had Soul all over it. The place is beautiful, and a wonderful homage. Be watchful, however, as the entrance is easy to pass by. From the road, it is incredibly unassuming. It just looks like a house in Vermont because that's what it is. But it is much more than that, and you will likely feel there.

He lived here a few years, not profound but worth a visit.

Well I love Robert Frost's poetry, so how could I not love his home. The grounds are well maintained too.

John Gillespie

Nice but not much to it.

Russell Hughes

Too expensive for a self guided tour.

Carl Caccamo

And we note our place with bookmakers. To measure what we've lost.

We were so diappointed...Checked the hours of operation before going and it said they were open but when we got there, there was a painted wooden sign saying they were "closed now".

Curt Wells

Small, cute, sedate. He was a mellow poet, Y'know.

Carla Timms

Guide was very friendly and helpful. Very interesting info in house.

Melissa Lee

Nice place to see in the fall

David Beattie

Although the Museum was closed for the season when we arrived, it was such a joy to wander the grounds and step onto the porch where Robert wrote "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening." 5 Stars for the privilege to be there, feel the vibe, and walk in the steps of a legend; the great American 20th Century poet who made such a difference in how we look at our lives and travel down our "roads" taken or not taken. Well worth a detour in or out of season.

Went there today. All posts said newly opened and ready. Index card taped to the door, "closed for Bennington college graduation today". We drove 1.5 hours. Not overly far, but made plans and picked the day, excited to see the museum. Bad form Bennington.

Ann Thompson

There are too many words and not enough. Go experience it for yourself.

I LIKE SEEING OLD HOUSES AND THIS ONE IS NICE BUT ONLY A 3 ROOM TOUR. ITS A SELF GUIDED TOUR BUT THE YOUNG MAN AT THE DESK WILL GIVE YOU THE HISTORY OF ROBERT AND THE HOUSE. HE WAS EXCELLENT AND NEW HIS STUFF AND IF HE DIDN'T HE TOOK THE TIME TO LOOK IT UP. THE UPSTAIRS TO THE HOUSE ISN'T OPEN UNTIL THEY ADD AN EXIT IN CASE OF FIRE. IF U TIE THE PARK-MCCULLOUGH HOUSE, THE BENNINGTON BATTLE MONUMENT AND THE HENRY COVERED BRIDGE YOU CAN HAVE A NICE LITTLE DAY TRIP ALL WITH IN 19 MINUTES (7.9 MILES) OF EACH OTHER. BUT CALL OF THE HOURS OF OPERATION FIRST. ALSO MAKE SURE THE ELEVATOR IN THE MONUMENT IS OPEN.

Kevin Sieger

Worth checking out. My wife and I learned a lot of Frost and his family. I recommend going on a cooler day, the house does not have AC.

Fly Fisherman

Nice tour and grounds of an American icon.

Small but informative, a nice experience from his later life.

Great small museum in Robert Frost’s home beginning in the 1920s. The downstairs of the home is two rooms. The first is filled with information on his life and works, with some focus on his inspiration from classical literature. The other is the room where he wrote “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, which provides background information on the poem and his views on its success (see photos). There is a small trail outside that winds around the property and takes ~5 mins to walk. Overall, a great museum that I would recommend to anyone passing through the area with 30-45mins to spare.

Terrance Abbott

The upstairs of the house is closed for renovations which was disappointing. Downstairs there is essentially two rooms with limited historical facts about the author and his life. There even fewer of his works displayed. With that said, still take the road less traveled and let your mind go back to the era he was writing. So much of history comes from the New England area. Nice was to spend an hour or two.
