Our was a nice walk, however, due to the layout, the walk itself means that you don't actually see the nature of the gorge excerpt at the very top and the very bottom. This is very disappointing.

Short walk across a bridge for wonderful views of the gorge. Lots of easy hiking trails great for kids. There are a few good spots to go for a swim. Dogs are welcome just keep them on a leash while near others and pick up after them.

Amazing place. Make sure you walk the bridge! Afraid of heights? Maybe skip walking the bridge! The trails to the basin are nice. Restaurants in the area are good. We had a negative experience eating at the "snack bar" at the Gorge. The day we were there, mayo seemed to be the special. I got more mayo than burger.

Lot of fun. Typical gift shop but if you want to hike and swim this us the place for you! Steep trail straight down to the bottom of the gorge. But it's wide and well maintained.

This place was really pretty. We took pics from the top and then took the trail down to the bottom of the gorge. The walk was easy both down and a gradual up. I saw elderly people walking as well

Pretty, well maintained trails. Gorge is beautiful. Good informational signs. Bridge could use a little better crosswalk system. Were there later in the day so the information center was closed so can't comment on that.

Absolutly the best State Park my family and I have stayed at, and we have stayed at many. We traveled from Michigan, this time to see New England foilage. The lots we found are large, not too close together, with lots of mature trees. The scenery and gorge trail are beaitiful. The bath house clean. The lots are well kept, and have very pratical, iron grills on them, that lift up and out if not needed, while remaining attached. Perhaps the only thing that matches the natural beauty of the park, is it's incredibly helpful and friendly staff. A special thanks to Austin, who went above and beyond for my handicapped mother. Vermont certainly invest wisely in their state parks. Just all around lovely!

Beautiful picturesque park. Not very large, but many spacious sites. Lean To's are large and well built. The bathrooms were nicer then my bathrooms at home. The staff was accommodating and informed. Surrounding scenery is amazing.

The gorge is something you must see. A few pleasant trails of the gorge, dam, and pond that are not too long but sections are steep. Parking can be a problem. Places to eat near by.

Really clean and neat campground. showers and bathrooms are very well kept. Sites are all large and pretty flat, so i didnt bother unhooking truck for the 2 nights. Fire rings with a cooking grate look fairly new. Kids loved swimming in the bottom of the gorge. was hard to make them leave!! Navigating camp loops with a 37ft bumper tow was doable but needed full attention to trees in some spots.

Love to walk the nature path at the gorge. The snack shack is a nice treat after taking a nice long walk.

It's a Scottish but steep walk out of the gorge, so take your time and keep your head up. Recommend parking at the visitors center by the bridge and walking down to the bottom first. Enjoy the rocks and water for a while then stroll back up. Take a break at the center or snack bar across the street. Then continue up to the lake and along the levee. Pretty easy walking for that section.

I just pulled off at the bridge to see the gorge so I can't speak to the rest of the park but it is absolutely worth at least few minutes!! There are places to pull off the road safely on both sides with enough parking, very safe sidewalk & fencing on the bridge, crosswalk to see the other side.... amazing beauty, one of those places that is nature at it's best!!

The gorge can be seen for the bridge. It's worth a stop if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip to see the gorge. The hike to the bottom is an easy .4 miles.

Great view from the bridge. Watch the children when on the bridge sidewalk that goes over the gorge, as cars don't always slow down. Easy walk down to the bottom. Once at the bottom, there are swimming holes and plenty of rocks to sit and relax on. The rocks can be tricky to walk on, so watch your footing. Didn't camp at the park, so I can't comment on those facilities.

There are several trails worth walking. The day I went was grey and cold so I only did one. At the start there is an Express bar where you can eat at the beginning of at the end of your walk

Very well maintained path and some stunning views of the Gorge. It's particularly nice at the bottom of the hill where you can dip your feet in the water. I would absolutely recommend the hike if you are in the area - it really only takes about 45 minutes or so to walk the whole trail if you are in pretty good shape. I wouldn't think it takes more than 2 hours at a meandering pace, but my estimates may be off depending on how you deal with inclines. It does get pretty steep at a few points along the way.

It's a very nice trail we went through, but gotta be very careful as they don't really clear the snow/ice and it gets very slippery during the winter season, I'd say to rather not do this during winter, the falls is beautiful though and can be accessed from the roadside without the trail.

Easy walk to the dam, a little more challenging but still very doable to get down to the river. Hiking boots and water shoes would come in handy for walking around the rocks at the bottom and if you choose to take a dip in the swimming hole. Very pretty, draws a crowd on a sunny weekend.

Visited in late September 2019. My wife and I had the park almost to ourselves. They have any easy 1.5 mile hike with a great view of the lake. Enjoyed canoeing in the lake and watching the beautiful fall foliage.

Gorgeous view of the gorge from the bridge. I would hardly call the main trail up and down a hike, very easy, but definitely worth doing. If you cross the bridge away from the visitor center, there is another trail that is short but is a little more difficult. It isn't marked so I assume no liability over whether you should be on it or it's safety. The best view is definitely up top and by the dam though.
