I always stop to see this beautiful place!
Nice views great walking trails
So beautiful here great view
Amazing place. The Green valley and rushing water are amazing to see. And then you can walk down to the bottom of the gorge and walk out on a huge rock outcrop and swim in the river. Bring swim suits and water shoes and a waterproof camera.
Pretty cool! Drove over it before knowing it existed. Had a snack and spoke with a local who lovingly called it "the hole"
Nice walking trail all the way down to the river bottom and up to the dam.
Nature shines thru, beautiful spot
Fence is too damn high.
It's a really really pretty gorge. Sucks there's a gate - probably worth going more in summer than winter, but still absolutely beautiful.
Such a beautiful site. A must stop if you are there.
The Quechee Gorge has always been a staple in my family's vacations! I always remember my mom and dad swinging me in between them as we walked along the trails when I was younger. This was always my mom's favorite place to walk
Beautiful sightseeing stop. Park near the top of the bridge and walk over for a great view. Paths to the dam to the west and downstream to the east. If you walk down hill to the east you are allowed out on the rocks around the river and can swim in the river. The hill is fairly steep but there are many place to sit along the way if you need to catch your breath. Good balance a must on the rocks going down to and out on the river. We did not camp but camping is available very near by.
Best place to view the Gorge.
It's a bridge over a deep gorge. Nice views from the bridge, through the safety fencing recently installed.
It's a great place to walk around. You will meet a number of people from different areas of the US. The gorge was beautiful because of the fall foliage. It would be more beautiful during the summer when one can play
love the view
Tranquil place. Has parking and food places.
Beautiful! There’s not much to see other than the gorge unless you’re going hiking and such, but beautiful views!
Wow this is a steep gorge!! If you're driving to Woodstock, this is an easy 10-minute stop- park nearby and walk onto the bridge. If you have more time, you can hike to the bottom.
Awesome view and nice bridge with holes cut out in fence to take pictures on both sides.
Such a fun place to visit! Quechee Gorge was a fun family trip when I was a child and now I'm sharing the important places in New England with our children! Make sure to stop in the gift shop for memorable items for you and your family and or gifts for others!
It's a nice little walk and you can cool off down below in the water
Gorge-ous... (Get it?) I didn't have time to do the nature walks which have a free narrated natural history talks with scan codes on your phone, but I want to go back so I can do that! I just looked at the gorge from the bridge you walk over
Beautiful Gorge views
Beautiful place! Pull off the road and go for an easy home downriver!
Beautiful with good trails!
We love going there and eating at the snack bar every time we are in the area. Great view, awesome trails and and awesome river/stream
Fantastic well maintained trails
Absolutely gorgeous. Adorable town. Straight out of a story book.
There is a parking area on both sides of the bridge. A short walk to a very beautiful view of the gorge. Hang on your phone or camera when taking pics of the view, it's a long way down.
What a gorgeous viewing spot! Easy to park and walk across the bridge and take in the dramatic views. Be sure that you are not afraid of heights though! When you’re driving across from New Hampshire to Vermont, definitely stop and take a look.
Beautiful, accessible views of the gorge just off the street. If you're visiting the area, this is an absolute must for nature lovers.
There are holes to take pictures of the scenery in the fence.
Had trails and a nice shopping center
Beautiful views nice place to swim and cool off, awesome there, stores are nice.
It's beautiful.
Would visit again, doesnt matter where we reside!
This was a great stop for the family. It wasn't just gorgeous, but it was fun to walk down to the bottom of the gorge and play on the rocks, although the hike back up was a different story, but that's probably because I'm out of shape haha. I do have to mention to be sure to keep an eye out for the traffic before you get on the bridge. The speed limit is 35 and should probably be lower as it seems no one follows it anyways.
Walked along the snow filled sidewalk today to look over both sides and it was beautiful to watch the snow fall on the tree line
Gorgeous natural site.
Beautiful! Can't believe there's a cross walk across the highway and cars actually stop! Only one snack bar type place. Doesn't full service restaurant, just a couple other choices, like maybe a deli?
Beautiful place. A Lot of snackbars. And great family time
Very nice natural river gorge attraction by the side of the road. Plenty of parking and popular with travelers in the area. Free entry
This was an awesome find You could take the trails view over the bridge no charge
This was my first time visiting a gorge and it was breathtaking. I and my husband took a walk along the trail by the side of the gorge and even in cold weather we spent around an hour there. We went there in november beginning which is not the ideal time to visit since winter had already started. If you plan to visit, make sure you go during falls so that you get to see the magic fall colors do to gorge.
Awesome views. Short but rewarding walking trails. You can go right down to the bottom of the gorge
This is a neat stop if you're going through this area. There's a short trail that goes down next to the gorge. It was very scenic, although short. The path is downhill at the beginning, so know that hill is waiting for you on the way back to your car!
Very cool gorge with a hiking and biking trail, as well as a very cool museum with other attractions as well.
One of the most scenic places I've ever visited in my life, come here late October and the scenery is something out of a fairy tale.
Gorgeous wayside stop that stretches your legs and wakes you up.
Beautiful view.
Cool gorge but fence obstructs views
Had a great day hiking the gorge.
Saw this for the first time last year. Had to go to the bottom this year. Was not disappointed!
Great view. Great place for pictures. Just really cool to view.
Easy hike down to the gorge - straight and wide path. Pretty and easy to get around. Visitor Center had plenty of information and background plus some fun trivia about the area and the gorge.
Great little town. Super hot day when we went so we will have to go back on a cooler day to check it out again.
Very simple and wide trails leading down to the water where one can walk and swim in certain areas. There are also several interconnected trails leading to local campgrounds.
Its nice.
Amazing stop on our trip.
An absolute MUST visit. Short hike down (that is a little tougher on the way back up, but not too bad) leads to marvelous photo opportunities.
They have installed a suicide fencing System that ruins the awe+fear inspiring experience!!!! Pictures of the #DumbDown later. Still worth the trip though.
Beautiful view. Not as fantastic as what you find in the Rockies, but well worth seeing.
Great hike along the gorge. Beautiful views.
Easy to see from the bridge....and many trails to hike as well.
Very nice views and walking trails along banks of the river. Highly recommend
easy walk, beautiful and dramatic scenery but in a safe setting for kids who want to run around.
Good food and good people a perfect tourist destination.
I loved it. Swam there. A great sight to see.
I love nature and this place is really out of the ordinary!
its a place to view . how far and how deep it is.
Great place to visit while you can. I heard the state wants to fence the bridge due to jumpers / suicidal people, to me every life matters but fencing the bridge is only going to take the jumper to choose another venue or another way.
More than the view from the top of the bridge, the view from the bottom is great, it’s a 0.3mi walk with steep slope (walkable with kids/old adults) which is totally worth it! I went during fall season and hence you see the colors, but even or otherwise, the place is amazing!!
Pretty little walk but because of vegetation the gorge is pretty hard to see..
The shops are fun and the view is beautiful. A little hard to walk across the bridge if you're afraid of heights.
Vermont's Grand Canyon, indeed. Beautiful visit.
Cool spot. Many people on the bridge but there are trails and stores expensive though
Beautiful views. There's a parking lot nearby that makes visiting this easy
What a gorgeous place to visit
Gorgeous waterfall to enjoy & always crowded.
Nice quick stop . Cool to walk across the bridge
Absolutely amazing and a must see if in the area!
Great place for a nice, relatively easy walk. Beautiful views of the river and gorge. A lot of people swimming, though we didn't venture in.
Easy hike for the family and the views off the bridge are pretty nice
Beautiful even in the rain.
Amazing views above the gorge and a great path down to the river. Worth a visit anytime but in the summer there is a great swimming spot.
Amazing gem on the side of the road!! Great views and wonderful pictures. We went tr through there it was raining and just everything was awesome!! Its a quite five minute stop or they have a little gift/snack shop to stop and stay for minute.
Unexpected rest stop have us a quite nice surprise. Deep gorge. Beautiful hike down to the water level.
Quechee Gorge is just what it says it is, a spectacular gorge through which the Ottauquechee River rapidly flows. From the bridge, spanning the Gorge, one can take a dizzying look down to the rushing river and beautiful scenery 163 feet below or maybe opt to take an easy half hike through gorgeous woods to the river. Sufficient parking is available nearby. Additionally there is a very nice souvenir, gift and sportswear shop and a snack bar. The Quechee Gorge is a worthwhile, and probably brief, stop through the very picturesque Vermont woods.
Very beautiful can't wait to go again next year
My fiance found this place on our way home from New Hampshire. Beautiful views of the gorge. You can take several different trails around the park, some go to the bottom of the gorge where you can dip your feet in the water. Some people swim, not sure if you're supposed to. There's a visitor center with restrooms, a gift shop and a restaurant.
Beautiful falls and trail along the river, underneath the gorge. Great hiking trails
Nice view, if I had more time I would have walked the trails.
Beautiful view and hiking.
Beautiful view and a camera slot for amazing pictures! We hiked the trail too! A wonderful place to pause and reflect on the beauty of our creator.
Very cool place to visit and hike. Maybe next time fit in some fishing
Good place to stop to check out the gorge. Parking available on both sides of bridge, visitor center on east side. Has various souvenirs and restrooms. Trail going to bottom and top of gorge, relatively short walk and well maintained trail. Also fairly steep coming back up from the bottom but worth the time. Other shopping options nearby as well. Can be a lot of people crossing the road so traffic does get backed up regularly.
Beautiful trails, and viewing areas . dog friendly. With local eateries near by, its a great day trip with the family
The Gorge is absolutely stunning! Unfortunately the new fencing on the bridge totally screws up getting the best pics and videos. BTW, why the fencing?
It's nice. There's a cool trail here, also some nice shops and food to eat. Very much worth a stop if you are in the area.
Easy access to see The Gorge quite interesting walk across the bridge in One Direction see the gorge and walk back across in the other direction and see the opposite side 163 ft deep 1 mile long cut during the last glaciation want a large glacial Lake broke through
Stood over the bridge. It was Breathtaking. There's a trail I want to hike down next time. Arrived late in the day.
We love walking the Gorge trail. We plan on going again during the leaf season.
What an amazing view!
The view is awesome. It was better before they put a protective fence over there. Now you have little squared holes to have a better view and take pics. I also love the trail to the bottom of the gorge.
Spectacular views and easy hiking trails.
The hike is fun and great views!
Popular suicide Spot Great View however
Amazing view, I loved it❤
Beautiful place to visit and hike, great for young kids. Exploring the woods is always fun, great views of the Gorge off the bridge and lots of free parking.
Easily accessible; not crowded; well maintained trails.
Beautiful view of the gorge. Souvenir shop and a snack bar with delicious ice cream.
How does natural beauty not get 5 stars! Plenty of parking, hiking trails, swim spots, trinket shop and food and visitor center.
Good views through a chail link fence. It's a gorge with a river running through.
Very nice view.
Awesome views but less parking
This is beautiful and amazing. For me visiting here again is after 50 years.
Awesome senery and short walk in either direction
Perfect for a day hike. Not to be missed.
Incredible view with cheap food and gift shops and camping nearby. Can't wait to explore around this area.
Picturesque. Probably not the best thing for nature
Wow amazing. You get to see such a great view of the gorgeous landscape here. You just park and walk down to the bridge and there it is such a beautiful view of the "Quechee Gorge" The way it's setup is safe , it's fenced in along the whole bridge both sides. Even the top rolls in as to deter anyone from climbing too far up. There are cutouts within the fence it allows for good snap shots if you're taking photos for memories of your trip. I recommend you stop by here if you're in the area. Also there is a nature trail next door. Parking is available.
Great view wish I had been able to take the time for a hike. If I am through the area again I will definitely make time for a hike.
Great view, cool crisp water.
Cool spot, but only passing through. Would have loved to explore more.
It's a neat quick stops and shops.
Awesome food. Good price for what you get.
The Quechee Gorge bridge has a bittersweet history.
We just walked across the bridge, which was pretty cool; didn't even know it was here until we got to the area. I suspect walking down the trail that goes below the rim would be much more impressive, but circumstances didn't allow that this time.
The view off the Rt 4 bridge is really nice. A tall chain link fence was installed for suicide prevention which affects the view some, but small holes have been strategically placed for photo ops. The trails are wide, pretty flat and very easy.
Great place to see and explore!
Awesome hike and beautiful views.
Falls not great but good for one time visit
Wonderful spot to view the gorge.
Great views. Support the local gift shopping stores.
Great place for pictures
Beautiful views!
Nice and pedestrian friendly.
Very nice walk. Very nice views.
Great gift shop with art by local artists.
A very nice walk through the woods and along the river down to the rocks and water. Plenty of rocks to jump from and shallow pools to for all age groups to enjoy.
Beautiful view.
Good view from bridge, nice walk
What a beautiful view of the gorge from the bridge! It was raining when we were there but well worth getting a little wet to walk out to see it.
Beautiful part of the world. Well worth stopping for at least a photo or a walk along the gorge up to the dam - need good shoes as very slippery when wet. Plenty of parking on both sides of the bridge and nice cafes and gift shops to wander around. Enjoy!!
We stopped and looked at the breathtaking view from this bridge on one our scenic rides!!
Short hike, about a mile total. .5 down to the river bottom - nice swimming area - .5 back up the hill. Plenty of beaches to sit on. Nice view from the bridge.
The view is spectacular, and there are easy, scenic trails on both sides. If you're looking for a Vermont view easily accessible by your car, this is one excellent place to do it.
Gorgeous views. Nice trail. Little shops. Also there is a very adventurous walk along the gorge. Best time to visit Autumn. Plenty of parking. Fun for kids. Great place to photograph. Restrooms available. Located directly off main road. Small museum. Also a snack bar and restaurant in this location of the Gorge
Beautiful! Gorgeous view. Well worth the stop
This is a beautifully scenic area right in the middle of the town of Quechee. You can park at the gift shop and walk across the bridge to get a nice aerial view or you can take the trails going down to the bottom or up towards the reservoir. The trails are short, something like just over a half mile and fairly easy. My 73-year-old Mom did the one going to the bottom without any concerns (though I made her use her hiking stick). The trail is covered in foliage and there's a bench at the bottom for you to sit and enjoy the view of the rapids. Oh, and there's a visitor center even a campground down there as well. It makes for a nice little day outing.
For me, it was a nice place to relax.
What a beautiful place. I would like to see it again.
Absolutely beautiful well worth the walk and being able to get in the water at the end of The Gorge was the perfect cap on the day. The people were friendly the area was very clean and the trails or clearly marked. Absolutely looking forward to visiting again well worth the trip absolutely absolutely absolutely
Everyone should have this experience love the trails
This place was breathtaking. The views in this area of Vermont are beautiful this time of the year. Leaves changing for fall.
Beautiful view from the bridge. You can walk down to the water. Great family place to visit.
This place is gorgeous jaw-dropping views and a fun place to hang out with a gift shop Bakery and warm atmosphere I highly recommend to any tourist or even a local at that to come and see what the Earth has to offer at least once in their lifetime in this beautiful spot.
