A fun place to spend time with friends on a warm summer day.
Clean, family friendly with picnic/grill areas and a playground. Convenient snack shop and beach bar serving cocktails and quick bites. Bathroom and showers centrally located. Designated areas for campers/RV's. $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents. Local company on beach for kayak and paddle board rentals which of course we had to do. Looking forward to the next trip!
Endless sand with an amazing view of the lake!
A phenomenal landscape and well-kept place all right for all visitors in native Florence
wonderful and kept nicely
A very nice relaxing beach! Yummy restaurant on the beach as well. Family friendly.
Fantastic beach. Best for the whole family
Amazing beach. Best for kids. Family friendly.
Clean beach, shallow for kids... good family friendly park and campground.
Very beautiful
Great place during the day hours.
Burlington was ok, but nothing special, the North beach however saved the day. Very clean, great for kids as it is quite shallow, overall a great day in the sun.
There are better beaches. Popular amongst the young people
Great beach, great view. Enjoy
Would be great if it weren't for the campground and parking. Not friendly!
Twas nice. Lake (North Beach) was very clean and it's not very crowded. However, the park itself doesn't have much shade in certain areas. Overall it was amazing :)
Gorgeous park on Lake Champlain close to downtown Burlington. Pretty beach with Adirondack and Camel's Hump mtn views. Lovely for swimming and wading. Good sized playground. Amenities could be improved: Restrooms and snack bar open summer only (currently there are some portapotties available). Accessible directly from bike path-- bike right in! Sometimes attracts a rowdy party crowd in hot weather-- alcohol is allowed here. Some issues with unleashed dogs as well. But overall, a lovely park worth many visits.
Beautiful lake beach area
Nice place to spend the day in the sun, easy access from the bike path.
Lots of space, beach is always in good shape. Views are gorgeous.
Nice swimming area, with calm lake water and slightly rocky sand. There are also benches, barbeques, and a changing area/bathroom available on site. $5 parking for cars.
Great beach and campgrounds
This is an awesome place if you get get over the super drunk college kids. Besides that, an awesome place to be
Beach was nice not to many people snack bar was good had a bar for some drinks was also good
It's probably the closest you'll get to a real beach in Burlington. It's a lot smaller so all the good and BAD that come along with a beach are condensed. But if you go at the right time and/or day or have a pair of earbuds to block out the world, it's nice.
A great beach for all kinds of activities. Right off the bike path, sandy, shallow and fun. Pay attention to water quality during the bloom season!
Nice view and clear shallow waters, good for small kids
$8 parking if you're not local
The place what you would expect for a 90 degree holiday at the beach.
Has just about everything. Family friendly, pet friendly, can't wait to go back
This beach is awesome, life guards on duty, able to rent kayaks, snack bar and most recently a TIKI bar
Clean and well maintained
Good beach, good camping. It's close to main street in Burlington
A little less private than other Burlington “beaches,” but lovely nonetheless. There’s a stand-alone tiki bar (you cannot bring your drinks to the beach, but kids are allowed to sit at the bar).
Good sandy beach. Plenty of shade for those allergic to the sun.
Beautiful setting, well-maintained grounds, I'm coming back!
Clean, quiet, beautiful view. Bathrooms, shade. What more do you need :)
Love this beach
Great place to go relax and have some fun. The offer food and select drinks. Now serving alcohol. Kinda pricey but to be expected.
Your speech is a very nice speech and very large and Sandy. I would give it a 5-star rating but they have been having problems with sewer overflowing resulting in Beach closures and also they have a problem with algae blooms which also results in Beach closings
Entering the park you see camping sites for RV and one for drive in's. Entrance fee is not too bad. Once you are at the beach you will be amazed at the mountain scene with the lake's expanse. The beach itself is organized, maintaned and relatively clean, more than any typical beach. My kids enjoyed that there were paddle boarding and canoe rentals. There are pavillions and grills and you will find restrooms and rinse showers. The beach itself it not the fine grain sand in ocean beaches but its not rocky or muddy compared to other lake or river beaches. My little daughter loved the collection of sandstone and igneous rocks that was available.
Best beach in the state! Love the water, HUGE marked off swimming area, playground, plenty of decent sand. Sand bottom, reasonably clear water.
This was truly one if not the best beaches I have every been on in my entire life. Water is cold but the environment and hospitality is warm. Picturesque, clean and Family oriented, looks like a Pirate's Cove. We celebrated my grandsons graduation with bbq on the beach no hastles for tables, chair or grill pits. A must see!
BEACHY with a bike path and grassy area too. Easy place to chill and get cool.
Large Beach area, large and safe playground, covered and uncovered grills and the covered space can be rented for parties. There are bathrooms and a snack bar. Very relaxed, come as you are, friends and family type atmosphere. There is also a campground located across the bike path...tents, RVs, about $40/night with tent.x
Beautiful, clean water to swim in, with breathtaking views of the mountains! Also, there is a great bike, run, walk path that goes right past this beach for miles. Great day!
RV park located just a stone's throw away from 30 mile bike path that wraps around the lake and a truly beautiful beach with post card like views. Free to walk in. Water in July was super warm. Beach sand is soft with only a few spots that show a bit of gravel. Water is quite shallow anywhere near shore making it kid friendly swimming. 3-5 Lifeguards on duty. Select food and drink available at small concessions area. Alcohol served in small but pleasant tiki patio. Just minutes to downtown Burlington with all of its charm. Many shops and restaurants to visit. This place is a hidden gem. It's not crowded. We are going to return soon!
Best beach in Burlington
Sand beach with marvelous views of the Addirandak Mountains
The beach is a lot cleaner than it was 20 years ago when the last time I went there. Parking is a little pricey
Beautiful, serene , clean
The beach is well kept. Lifeguards are on duty. Scenery is beautiful. Not just the beach if you know what I mean. Lol. Just call to check on the blue green algae before making the trip.
Great beach!
Beautiful stretching beach area at lake Champlain in beautiful Vermont. The lake features bathrooms, a restaurant that serves alcohol and a playground for the kids. There’s also an adjacent area for camping. Great place for the family.
A great spot for fun in the sun. Whether you're alone or with a large group, this beach has accommodations for all. The water is a definite plus.
Beautifully maintained park with wide paths.
perfect 10
Lovely beach and park. The water is clear and sand is a little rocky but smooth. Scenery is breathtaking and ambiance is warm and lovely.
Ok
The beach is beautiful but theirs a lot of trash everywhere. Please clean after yourself. Maybe they need to put more trash cans. The beach bathroom is clean unlike the camp site restroom. Quite hours at the campground is none existent.
Really a poor beach. Should be cleaner.
awesome
Awesome beach with gorgeous views of Burlington and Adirondacks....
Great beach, delicious drinks and yummy snacks! I have visited this beach 5+ times this summer and it's definitely one of my favorites in the area! Beautiful sandy beaches with a great swimming area, bathrooms and snack bar. The Painkiller cocktail is DELICIOUS! Coconut shrimp is another favorite! Family friendly but also a great beach to visit solo or with friends, highly recommended!!
Nice spot for a rest stop if you’re during the Burlington Bike Path ride... nice views of the Adirondacks
Good the local beach to enjoy the sun plus a continue bike path
Always pleasant with nice surf and soft sand.
Beautiful, peaceful and scenic right in the heart of Burlington. A number of people appeared to have spent the day with their chairs and books
This is certainly a destination when you come to Burlington. You can pay a non resident fee of $8 if you drive or you can rent a bike and enter for free. There is a kayak and paddle board company that sets up in the northern part of the park. The park offers trailer style camping as well. The concession staff needs some more help and a better system to work with; they are hard working but could use some more help- many customers seemed agitated on a busy Saturday. The beach is life guarded which is a plus...the rules are a bit more lax than we are used to at our local beach. There is a playground and some barbecues available for use as well. Enjoy your stay if you choose to go. If my review was helpful please consider selecting the “like” button below. Thanks.
Very nice and well maintained. We didn't have any trouble with all the college students that were there having a good time but it something you may have to consider if you take really little ones. Everyone there was very well behaved and respectful, just heads up.
Great place for a warm day to relax. Good mix of sand and grass areas near water. Lifeguards, food, drinks, and standard beach bathrooms all as expected. Only complaint would be the line to get in with car. Should have more than one person at gate.
Good local beech with Kayaking and paddle boarding.
Nice beach, decent food, nicely developed for families
The frequent groups of people playing loud music were annoying, but I guess that's what you get at this sort of beach. The views are great, especially for sunset.
Nice sandy beach. Lifeguards. Showers and restrooms. A small food store. Creeany icecream. kayaking. And the icing on the cake is that it's all fresh water. Best beach ever
Best beach you'll get in Vermont. Very nice sand. Best time to go is in the late summer when the water has warmed up a bit!
Camp here from NY at least 1x a year. We love it here!! Great access to the bike bath, lake Champlain, and the showers are clean warm and strong water pressure. Not far from downtown and the sites are comfortable. We really appreciate this gem!
I traveled for 3 hours to get here and it was 100% worth it. Parking is only $6. The beach is very spacious and long. The lake itself is gorgeous, huge. There's plenty of space to swim and play in the water. There's a small place to eat by the beach, they have pizza, burgers, ice cream and much more. Just bring sandals for the sand because it burns. After a whole day in the beach, everyone should go to Church St marketplace in Burlington.
Nice place to spend the day!!!
Nice view , cool place to hang out
Even under a cloudy sky our time at the beach was amazing!
$8/day parking for non Burlington residents. Lifeguards on duty. Nice beach. Great views of the mountains across the lake.
Lovely place
Lovely spot to enjoy with friends and family. The beach is clean and well maintained. The water is crystal clear and refreshing.
Nice beach to sit and relax during offseason.
People were not respecting the non-smoking sign. I don't want to inhale the smoke from marijuana. Smoke in your on place and don't contaminate others, specially youngsters.
Great beach.
This is a really nice beach and picnic area but you have to pay a fee to get in.
It was Awesome!!
Superb park, has everything you could want in an outdoor experience. The water does not get too warm in Vt, but you can't complain about that. Clean facilities and a nice snack bar. Bring your sand umbrella.
Very clean...beautiful place..
Nice beach, with a section for dogs. Beach house, life guards, hibachis and picnic areas. The water is only a couple feet deep for about 40 yards out. The beach sand is a little gravelly in most areas but nice and soft in the water.
Great spot! Fairly long, lovely beach on the lake. Trees for shade and cook-outs. Small stand for drinks and snacks.
A nice campground and beach
It was a beautiful afternoon at North Beach on Sunday, August 19. It was sunny, 79 degrees, the water was about 75 degrees and was very clear. They have an outside restaurant with quite a selection of food items including creemees. This restaurant even serves alcoholic beverages, which must be consumed in the outside restaurant area and cannot be taken directly onto the beach. Restrooms were relatively clean and had TP and soap to wash your hands. Great day!
Kayaking (rentals) in the light waves was an experience and not that hard. Great beach with relatively shallow for long distances. Less than a foot for a while 5 or so feet deep at max. Awesome picnic areas. Clean changing and bath rooms...outdoor showers and decent snack shack.
