You will be able to see the opinions of people who are using the services and products of Montshire Museum of Science (Tourist Attraction) in Vermont area.
At present the firm gets a score of 4.8 out of 5 and the rating has been based on 1046 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is basically the best one, and it is based on a high number of opinions, so we can say that the rating is quite credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of Science museum.
Wonderful hands on museum. Kids can touch almost everything and there are programs for kids and adults on the website. In the summer, there are trails in the woods to explore that are well marked and informational.
Great museum for kids as well great park adjucent to this...
The grandkids really love this museum. We spent the whole day and were busy every minute!
Perfect rainy day activity for kids!
The BEST staff at any museum, so friendly and warm and wise. Some of the exhibits are a bit dated, but they keep adding new stuff all the time. We visit several times a year, just to play and learn and socialize.
This place is great. Took a 3 year old and 5 year old, both loved it. Everything is hands on! Bubbles were especially a hit and so was the ant farm. Definitely worth the visit. Will go again during the summer to do the trails and outside features.
So fun! The kids always have a great time.
This place is freaking sweet. I think I had as much fun as my five year old! Indoor and outdoor exhibits are high quality, well updated, staff is friendly, and a surprising amount of variety.
Great museum and summer camp!
The grandchildren had a great time and topped it off with the water garden. A good time was had by all.
My two-year old had the time of his life here. He enjoyed every exhibit, even the ones that went over his head. He almost enjoyed it as much as my husband, who we kept losing! I wish we lived locally and could visit frequently. The staff were so pleasant and the facilities were very clean. We will be back!
The outside water park is awesome.
This place was amazing! So many things for the kids to do, learn, touch, feel! Definitely worth the trip, plan to spend the day exploring and re-exploring ever inch of this Museum! You will not be sorry!!!
What an amazingly fascinating and interactive place! If you're in the area, definitely visit! Fun for kids and adults!
Great place for kids and adults
Took our 1st. graders here and it was great. So many things to do. Bring a lunch. Everyone had a wonderful time. Would definitely go again.
Today was our second trip to the museum. Our 5yo absolutely loves all the various exhibits and that he can bounce between them as he likes. It seems he even picks up bits of knowledge (as we'd hope) from them. An excellent place we hope to be able to visit again and again.
So much to do here you can spend hours really exploring everything they have to offer between indoors and outdoors. Perfect for kids of all ages and the prices are reasonable. Even if you have been before it's a great place to visit over and over because they are always offering something new to explore and learn about.
Great place great time suggest it to anyone
Been going since I was a kid and now take my nieces and nephews.
We absolutely love it here from the museum, to the outdoor water park to the hiking trails.
Wonderful science museum, great for many ages. Outdoor spaces are great in summer too.
Great family oriented and extremely child friendly place!
Great educational museum for kids! My kids loved it! Spent over 4 hours there and still didnt see everything! Water area was great too, make sure to bring swim suits!
Always love coming here!
So much fun for everyone!
This is a fantastic destination for science lovers young and old -- teaching an array of concepts through the years. The have the famous "ball machine", a wildly complicated yet precise machine that comes to life when you use the spinning crank. As a child, I was there for hours every visit. Many exhibits take a lot of physical energy, which is perfect for kids to tire out at the end of your visit!
Was really busy today. But great time as always. The staff is incredibly friendly.
Best children's museum. BYOL
Something for everyone. Fun place to visit.
Great place to take the kids, though not necessarily the most fun for the grown ups. I recommend coming in the summer time to enjoy the outdoor water exhibits and the planetary walk.
The science and the view of the river and other scenery there is lots of cool things to see I highly recommend it check it out it's Norwich Vermont
The Montshire is an incredible local asset. We are locals and have a membership, and we (or the grandparents) take our 3 yr old there about once a month. It's all about having fun while leave and exploring. Big enough to always find something new to focus on, and small enough to get to know. The splash area is a huge hit in the summer. Hands on exhibits might include anything from experiments with gravity, vacuums, musical instruments, pendulums or just fun with giant bubbles and blocks. An annual membership is easily justified if you go more than once a year.
My son loved it here had so much for him to do. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back next yr.
Great activity for a couple of hours with your kids. They do hands on programs throughout the day, too. The leaf cutter ants are amazing.
Fantastic place for kids and adults.
There was so much to see, we never made it outside to the trails! Kids were fascinated!
Awesome place for kids, would go back every day if possible
Believe it or not, I was so busy having fun learning I only snapped one photo of the experience and it's not very helpful. Great place for children, and the young at heart. The hiking trails were a wonderful cruise.
I brought my kids here on their last break. They loved it. I'm looking forward to going back in the summer to do some of the outdoor activities. Very clean and well-organized. There were lots of fun interactive activities for kids of all ages.
Great little museum packed with lots to do. Friendly people, great gift shop.
Our 2 year old was entertained the whole time, even though the exhibits were a better fit for older kids. Good variety and wonderful to have in the region!
Makes me feel like a kid a again only proves you can still learn things
Got a membership and we absolutly love it! The kids love the water park!
This is a hands on science museum for children. It is geared for younger children up to about age 12. My 10 year old really enjoyed the exhibitions. Very well done and a remarkable amount of information.
Great standard and revolving exhibits. Being a member is really cost effective.
Friendly family learning environment with plenty to do.
Great spot for kids to explore science
The Montshire is our favorite place! There have been a couple of summers where we would get a pass and go every day with pack lunches, towels, and a change of clothes. It's fun to play outside in the water works and then if a thunderstorm rolls in, our day isn't ruined. When my youngest was very little, we would play in Andy's Tree while the older ones would roam the lower level and then we would ventured upstairs for activities and labs. My husband and I have loved the adult nights, sipping wine and playing with bubbles and solving puzzles! We can't wait for family visit so we can bring all of the cousins to the science museum!
Fun place to take your kids. This Museum has activities for the whole family, and has play areas for kids.
There is so much to do for all ages. From toddlers to adults. Our favorite stations were the bubbles, brain testers and the solve a mystery. We'll be back again
Love to go with my family! There’s so much fun things to do here, and the outside in the summer with all the water is a blast! I love hands on things!
A wonderful gem of the Upper Valley. The exhibits and facility are top quality.
Great time for kids. Bubble and air sections particularly cool.
Amazing place for kids. Everything is interactive, kids science museum done right.
Good but could be more stuff for kids to-do.
Awesome place for kids and adults who are a kid at heart! Great staff, very friendly outgoing environment!
Amazing museum for kids and families. They offer the best rates for VT residents check out their website for details. Definitely plan on multiple visits because one day isn't even close to enough if you want to experience the whole place
Fantastic, hands on museum. I loved it when I was a kid, and it's only gotten better since. Has plenty to keep kids from toddlers to elementary ages engaged and interested both inside and out. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the exhibits are all well thought out, and the trails are great.
I've reviewed this place more than once. so I wont go into too much detail but it's great for hands on activities and learning. a need to stop in place if your a local or just a visitor for all ages.
We go often it's a great learning experience for all. The staff is always ready to help or to answer any questions . The water park is a blast for all ages awesome experience.ENJOY we like to go in the morning and stay inside and see everything inside in the afternoon we go outside to the water park couldn't ask for a better day
Our group of 31 enjoyed a lovely winter day at the museum. All the staff seemed genuinely happy to have us there (which can be unusual when you bring a large group of kids anywhere). The exhibits encourage PLENTY of hands on learning and experimentation. It's a great place to make observations about physics and nature. We enjoyed the bubble making area and musical instruments the most. I hope to visit in summer to try out the outdoor exhibits.
I love bringing my kids here! There's so much to do and they have a new featured exhibit every month. My kids love it and always have a ton of fun.
Amazing!! So much to do. My 11 year old son and 4 year old daughter both loved it, and finding something they both enjoy isn’t easy!
Great hands-on activities and learning for the kids. Well laid out, and approachable for a wide range of ages.
Loved going here when my son was younger....hours of fun play time...big bubbles..ping pong ball river.all the events and classes for the kids during the day...oh adults can play too!!
Kids love it, parents do too!
This has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. Now I enjoy bringing my children. The bathrooms are always very clean here. The line always moves quickly when checking in and the staff is always excelent with the little ones.
Very well organized and interactive set of exhibits geared toward young children.
Best kids museum that I have been to. Every exhibit is truly interactive and fun. A kids museum that you don't mind spending an hour or two at as an adult. My almost 4 year old had a blast here
Very fun for kids and adults of all ages. Indoor and outdoor exhibits, with many of them being interactive. Lots of stairs but there are elevators as well.
This is a small but incredibly well done museum. Almost everything is interactive with a great range of ages. Summer visitors can enjoy water based exhibits and more outside
Variety of activities kept my 3.5yr old occupied for a good 1.5 hrs. Perfect for him on a cold afternoon with no snow
Fabulous, very doable and enjoyable science museum which works for the entire family. Visited with family and all ages were delighted with this wonderful museum. Great, fun, educational, hands on, experiential museum with a great combination of fun, challenge, learning, entertainment all in a reasonable sized venue which can be enjoyed in 2 hours or a full day. Beautiful grounds, water attraction, place for kids to run around for n swim suits under sprinklers and walk through artificial stream. Great nature hike and view of the river. Great puzzles and mind games. A chance to launch gigantic bubbles. Plenty of things for hyperactive kids and the most studious of your brood. Very highly recommended! Great staff. Great gift shop and book store.
One day, when we went to the giftshop, and their system was down.... ONLY WHEN WE WENT TO CHECKOUT. And there was another lady who was checking out when the system was down and the lady said that she could pay with cash, but when went we up... She said, "I can't even let you give cash right now-". Oh so you can't just type the price into the system and let us pay. These people were idiots, they deserve to go to hell.
Fun for kids, so much to do. The brain teasers are super challenging.
Great place to take the kids to play learn and explore
Love this place. Bought a season pass for four at a very reasonable price ($115 I believe). Take my 2 1/2 year old daughter there a couple of times each week after I get out of work and we can easily kill a couple of hours. Staff is friendly and plenty of things for the kiddo's to to do both inside and out.
What a great experience for kids and adults. Great resource to the families and communities near Norwich!
Fantastic museum. Well worth the admission fee. Very informative, hands on and fun. We , as 6 adults, had such a great time and our 6 month old granddaughter was able to participate too.
Great place for kids and adults. All the exhibits are hands on, and the puzzle room is fascinating for everybody.
Fun place to bring the kids on a dreary day. Lots of interactive fun. The kids loved it. Even the big kids!
Excellent for young kids. Fun for adults who like to play as well.
Kids love this place after 50 visists still not bored
What a great place for kids and parents. A hands on museum which teaches, entertains and provides an energy outlet for children with a well designed, safe environment. My 2.5 year old granddaughter spent 4 hours here and was enthralled with the place. We certainly will return even though it is a solid two hours away.
I've been to about 50 children's and science museums and this is one of my favorites. Recently discovered the outside spaces in back during warm weather. Beautifully designed and lots of fun. I would go back even without my son - it's not just for kids!
Great place. Better with good weather. Plenty of picnic tables.
Super fun place to bring kids. Tons of hands on exhibits on multiple floors plus a huge outside area. Been here 4 times and each time discover something new and exciting !
So much to do, takes more than 1 day to fully explore
Great place to bring family with exhibits for young and young at heart. Staff is friendly and available. Highly recommend it.
Great interactive learning experience for all ages for an extended period of time.
Great place for kids to spend a couple hours exploring. There are daily shows every couple of hours, the day I was there they had stick insects out for people to see and touch. Miles of nature trails to walk.
Just took three of the grandkids, one of them aged 7, the other two aged 10, and we had a really good time and they learned a great deal. Dozens of kid-friendly interactive displays which help kids understand a very wide variety of concepts, and a demonstration area where staff conduct engaging, fun experiments. Immaculate, large facility with friendly staff and a gift area selling educational toys with proceeds benefiting the museum. Vast outdoor play area to give kids a chance to run around. We enjoyed lunch at the King Arthur Flour cafe just around the corner, but if you're watching the wallet, pack a picnic lunch because there are many exterior, shaded picnic tables where you can relax and enjoy your meal. A top-notch day of enrichment for kids of all ages! We also got a veterans' discount! See website for a variety of available discounts!
Fan-freaking-tastic! So much to do! Huge variety of hands-on learning exhibits for kids of all ages. From code breaking to puzzles to insects to planetary science to music to physics, water play, nature hikes... holy cow! I can't list it all! Had too much fun playing to photo the stations. Lots of on site parking. A couple of sneaky turns as you approach the location, so be alert! or just turn around when you miss the turn ;) oh yeah! For your Pokémon Go kids, there are 3 gyms on site! If your kids can't have fun here, they might be potatoes.
My husband and I arrived at the museum without knowing that it’s a children museum. He had a BLAST. We played all the instruments, blew gigantic bubbles, fed the ants, went to the observation deck and went to the workshop with the volunteers. It was just amazing. We’re so happy we went!
Awesome museum. Kids loved bubble exhibit.
I visited with my 4 year old nephew. Had so much fun. It was the highlight of my vacation. :D
Great science museum for many ages. Activities run by staff are awesome. And the leaf cutter ants are amazing. Great outdoor space, too. Bring spare clothes for the little ones, so they can play in the fountains.
Amazing. Something for everyone to enjoy. The kids are always learning and don’t even realize it.
I was a teacher for a summer camp program. Lots of nteractive things for the kids to do. Lots of things for me to do too! The only downfall is that the museum is not set up for large groups. We wanted to check out the demonstrations in the lab, but we couldn't see anything because of the crowd. Other than that the kids had a blast, and there was something to interest all of our diverse little minds.
Great for kids of all ages
the whole family will love this place
Great science museum, our 5 year old loves it! Not an overwhelming large place, but the place is packed with engaging and interactive exhibits that kids young and old will get a kick out of. They also rotate in new stuff, so we see something new every time we come while visiting our friends in Vermont.
Grandchild friendly, even inspirational... welcoming with plenty of hands-on opporunities, but a shade pricey.
Had a fun time. I wish they would do the cost to get in by age. My 3 year old couldn't do most of the stuff on the second level. It was fun anyhow but I think I'll wait until he's a bit older so we can enjoy the entire museum.
It was great. My 4 year old great nephew and 8 year old great niece loved it. I loved it. Mary Dockum
We have a membership here. We love it and visit as often as we can. We usually don't see everything each visit but we could spend hours here. The staff is always attentive and the ladies at the front desk always have a smile on their face. The bathrooms are usually in great shape. There's not usually any staff outside for the water feature exhibits. They do change some exhibits out often bit there's a few that have never changed. The tree house area for little ones is fun but seems it needs some updating or someone in the staff to check in on it, the balls are often not there and things seem to be missing but I know kids can be rough and in all the excitement leave with items meant to stay. All in all, there's so much to do here. It's fun for all ages but my 8 year old has loved it since she was probably 4 years old. Our 1 year old loves most of it also.
I absolutely love going here with my kids it's fun and educational. I really love that they opened up access to lower income people to also enjoy the museum.
Great experience for young and older!
My 5 year old and 8 year old loved it there!
Worth every cent! Very well done and great for any age
By far our favorite museum. They are always changing up the exhibits and keeping my daughter entertained. We really enjoy the outside water park and the hiking trails as well. Very welcoming to all families of all shapes, size and the trails are suitable for people who aren't very fit, like myself!
My son loved it so many things to do
It kept 2 boys, 5 and 7, totally busy and engaged all day. It would have been fun to go without them, so I could try more stuff.
Great place to take the kids. So something educational for every child and adult
Great for kids groups and beautiful trails.
Great location for NH Charitable Foundation Building Community conference! Thank you Montshire Museum staff for being wonderful hosts!
Also lots of fun for the big kids and the little ones
Nice workers and fun exhibits. A great place for any age
So much fun, for the adults as well as the kids
Not every thing was open, for the price 13.00 for kids 16.00 for adults for what was going on, bees hive should have been cleaned, not showing dead ones there lots of them, glad it wasn't really busy, would not have enough things for everyone to do
Beautiful facility! Lots of fun activities for kids of all ages. Skilled museum staff! Fun was had by all.
My son had SO much fun here. The museum is huge and has so many cute activities and exhibits. I’d definitely recommend stopping if you have children!!
The Montshire is an awesome family place. To do and learn about STEM in a hands on way. Totally worth the trip!
This place knows children. A wonderful museum for kids ages 2-12, but enough to satisfy teens who tag along. they have hands on exhibits, as well as an amazing outside water space that becomes a great play spot in the summer. There is also a trail system outside. Highly recommend, bring a picnic lunch and relax on the grounds. Everyone in family will find something to enjoy about it.
I could spend all day here! I went without kids and enjoyed my time visiting the exhibits. I didn't have enough time to explore the trails so I will have to come back some day.
What an amazing place for little ones! Great even for your youngest explorers all the way to teens. If it's hot out, bring your bathing suits.
Wonderful museum! Fun for all ages. The bubble exhibit is fantastic!
Kids love to explore. It's nice to go somewhere so kid friendly!
A interactive wonderful time!!
A great place to spend an afternoon, esp if you have younger children, and well worth the trip from almost anywhere in Vermont or New Hampshire. In the summer they have an excellent outdoor water activities area. Everything is hands on, and kids always have a blast. The tickets aren't outrageous, but it can be a little bit expensive, especially if you get anything from the store. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I would definitely buy a membership if I lived just a little bit closer.
This looks like a lovely little place with all kinds of exhibits focused on children but also entertaining for adults. They were very nice to us when we paid for entry then realized we were in the wrong place, as we meant to go to temperament and institute of nature and science to see live birds. If I wasn’t determined to go there I would’ve stayed and checked it out but they were nice enough to return our payment and give us directions.
Love this museum! Has things for kids of all ages! Our daughter is 18 months and had a great time. Not too overstimulating like the Children's Museum in Boston, has great outside activities too. Was $3/person for us because we have Medicare, we opted in to pay $20 and get a year membership! Excited to go back this summer! No food on property, highly suggest packing a picnic lunch.
This is one of the only cool places to take your kids to in Vermont. They do an exceptional job of keeping the kids engaged and entertained. We usually spend at least 4 hours here. In the summer you can tap on an extra 2 hours because there's a nice water area outside. You can bring your own lunch and snacks too. It's well worth the minimum cost to get in.
I’d rate it a six if I could. Kept my nineteen month old son engaged for hours. A great place of fun and learning!
Delving into the world of science at a young age with a fresh mind gives a great perspective into the future discoverer one becomes. The exhibits are hands-on, creative and at times mind-boggling. They are experts at catering to the young audience.
Always love taking the kiddo here. Showed great customer service when my son left his glasses there on a field trip. They found them and notified us immediately.
Great place to spend the day with friends and family BUT beware of the bubble exibit floor is extremely slippery, my grandson slipped on the floor and I wasn't very happy with staff at the front desk...they truly didn't seem concerned..
We recently got a membership and love it. My two year old especially likes the bubble exhibit. We have a lot of fun and usually spend a couple hours here each time we go. If I had to make a suggestion id recommend they change the exhibits out more. It seems like the ones they change are all really similar
My family and I got the membership pass that allows us up to 6 people per visit. It was well worth it. The have exhibits they offer are all hands on and fun to do. The outdoor water area ( not for swimming) is just has interesting and they have a cool little trail that you walk through.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! Fun, educational, and accessible for kids of all ages. The first floor is especially great for little ones and their older siblings and friends who want to explore together, while the upper floors are mainly of interest to older children. The outdoor trails are great as well. If you're bored on a snowy day, pop over to King Arthur (just up the road) for cinnamon rolls, then run off all that excess energy here. Unlike many museums aimed at kids, it's not at all overstimulating, it's just perfect.
This is such a wonderful museum that you can enjoy alongside with your kids. If your kids enjoy bubbles and water they will be especially happy. We usually bring a change of clothes as sometimes they end up getting wet.
,sweet place for the kidos
There's always a new exhibit to see, and the older ones are classics that my children everytime have fun like it was there first. The staff was very helpful and polite. I also learn something new everytime and we always have a great time! Thank you!!
This is an awesome museum with 3 floors and ever changing exhibits. They have interactive presentations several times a day. There is indoor and outdoor seating for food that you bring with you. As far as on site food, there's a couple vending machines. We can easily start the day when they open and leave just before they close wishing for more time. There are a few staple exhibits that all the kids love. There's a bubble exhibit that features generating very tiny bubbles to 6 foot tall bubbles. People stay in this one exhibit for a while. We usually want to see other exhibits after about 30 minutes. Another very popular exhibit is Andy's Place. It's a play space for children 5 and under. Hands down, the best exhibit in the spring and summer is the water exhibit. Kids can spend hours playing outside with water that shoots up, pours down and pools at the bottom. It's not so deep that small children cannot play. It's worth the price and they have discounts with an EBT and I believe a military ID.
New exhibits regularly, outdoor trailers, and great hands on experiences for small kids.
I have been going to this place for years the kids always love it they try to keep exhibits fresh you'll have a great time with the family.
My son and I were visiting my sister and her family. She recommended we go here. One of the best outings of our visit. Plenty for kids to see and do; even better is that they learn while having fun. I do recommend bring snacks/lunch with you as the variety there is rather limited. I wish we could add videos to these reviews...
