As you can read, it has an average rating is nearly the top, and it's founded on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the rating is quite reliable. If people have bothered to give their review when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Great
Beautiful, kind volunteers, a must see in Vermont!
Loved the history and story of the great men and woman eho had the foresight to lobby and establish our National Parks for all generations and cultutes to bisit and learn. Nothing beats petting baby calves ...soooo cute! :)
Too pricey to view museum
Very nice park, a pain to get to and walking up hill to get to the Visitors center
A great historical place, pretending it's not. Please go and find out all it has to offer.
Beautiful hike in Vermont today. The colors are really coming out.
Beautiful place with excellent history
The inside of the Rockefeller house is the way it was last left, even reading glasses on a table on a magazine. I love the Hudson River School painting hanging on the staircase wall ... So natural a setting, yet worth $$$$.
What a beautiful and interesting place!
A great place to enjoy 3 conservationists fruits of labor. Hike Mount Tom and enjoy the view of Woodstock and the surrounding mountains.
Put this on your list when in the Woodstock area. So many animals and incredibly friendly people.
Beautiful gardens and hiking trails. So peaceful and serene.
Would liked to have time to explore the forest.
One amazing park in a great small New England town. This National Historic Park has something for everyone— great historical tours, summer camp programs and more. Pictures below from the Mountains and Rivers camp program.
Cows there are cows everywhere
Beautiful grounds!
A beautiful setting and the video was good, but it is confusing when you have a national park and a separate attraction colocated.
Enjoyed our visit to the farm. Learned a lot about the Rockefeller family.
The farm is a great place for kids..dont forget to get icecream . During Summer
Wonderful place and educational.
Very good
Lovely place! Great views and abundant parking
30 miles of trails, a beatiful lake to walk around, and a great view of Woodstock from the top of Mt. Tom. A great place to hike, even though there are often a few other hikers around (and the odd pile of horse manure).
Vermont's only National Park Service Unit is a real beauty. It contains the home of three influential men and much of the forest that they have preserved. If you're looking for a beautiful hike, walk to the Pogue from the Visitor Center.
Easy hiking up Mountain Road to the Mt Tom summit, with more challenging trails branching off. Beautiful views along the way and at the summit. Mountain Road is your best bet if you are with a dog, and Precipice trail might be a little be a challenge with your pooch in tow. Highly recommend.
Great educational spot, especially to teach kids about the importance of conservation. NPS has a small interpretive center with the history of the farm. There are guided tours of the grounds and house, or you can wander outside unguided. The working farm across the street is a little spendy, so we opted not to go in.
Beautiful, peaceful.
Unbelievable
Amazing history, beautiful trails. Definitely a great place to spend an afternoon.
Fantastic place
Beautiful park with hiking and carriage trails. Variety of easy moderate and difficult terrain.
Fun place for the entire family.
Beautiful preservation of historic home and land.
Gorgeous estate and fantastic tour by the National Parks.
I don't move all to well anymore and wasn't up to the 3 mile round trip to Pogue Pond so I had to turn back. Definitely beautiful but not good for me.
Parking is across the street.
This location has something for every age and activity level.
This place had potential. But... the house was closed for tours when we got there... but we still had to pay full price (which at $16 US was a bit much). The staff was mostly nice... The animals were adorable and awesome. And the cheese was legit delicious. But, it was pricey. Too pricey. The town of Woodstock was beautiful though. Definitely worth a visit.
Great park with wonderful trails. Check out the Nordic Ski cabin, it's my favorite!
Fun and historical site! Great for kids!
The tour was wonderful and interesting!
Looked like a nice place to tour and will be back when it's warmer. Military discount should be a little better. Nice gift shop as well.
Amazing national Park
Wonderful place to take the family on hikes. The trails are well groomed.
So nice to walk through this farm. We went in Dec. It was snowing ,how much fun!
Awesome, saw a bear!
Great hike to Mt. Tom
Lovely educational park
Fascinating story - be sure to watch the intro movie at the visitor center.
A gem
A fascinating site focused on the power of historical preservation.
Great tour. Highly recommend
Great venue.See the film first before the tour. This site is the birth of environmental conservation in America.
Beautiful grounds. Excellent network of carriage roads & trails for waking. Also connects to more extensive trail system outside park. Interesting history connected to Rockefeller family.
Great place to stretch the legs and learn about the history of the area. Gift shop and artisan cheeses, need I say more?
Beautiful mansion of the Rockefellers. They helped preserve the area and being back the forested mountains.
Excellent and informative videos. Really nice grounds to Turin walk around. Awesome to be in a home where 3 conservationists have lived.
Wonderful place to bring the family and see farming up close! This is our happy place!
Beautiful area and so serene. Woodstock is a perfect example of a scenic New England small town. Picture opts galore.
Very pretty
There is a cute farm here and a very nice farm museum. We could not get a tour of the house since it was already full for the day which was very disappointing.
A perfect place to spend a day hiking or visiting a Vermont farm. Pet some cows or meet a horse this place is amazing for families.
Hiked up Mt. Tom, a beautiful hike, saw bears
Beautiful!!!!! The farm staff is amazing, the care that the animals is incredible! But the actual staff at the National Park part are not so friendly. The hike though is incredible. If you go, go to the farm, go on the hike, but stay far from the National Park Gift Shop.
Amazing!!!!
Went there at 420pm and was turned away. told the last tour was at 4 even though the say they close at 5. Asked if we could jump into the tour already in progress " no it almost finished". Then why can't you do another tour if they are 30 mins long. It says nothing on the website about last tour just that they close at 5pm.
Great place to visit with kids.
We came across this place as we were driving by. We didn't have time to see everything. The museum inside is much bigger than you would think. Great place for a rainy afternoon. There are other buildings that we didn't see and of course the farm animals outside.
Huge park, great for family.
My family really enjoyed it ...really interesting..and cute farm animals too
The view of the July 4th fireworks display from the south peak of Mt Tom is outstanding. The walk up the Mountain Road is just over 2 miles and an easy grade. A lot of nice hiking trails here.
Needs more for children!!
Well run NPS unit. Toured the home with a guide. Lots of walking trails.
Learned a lot about the conservation that the families who lived here wanted for the area
Nice historic Rockefeller house tour. Good hiking on hillside carriage trails through the woods.
I live a few miles from MBRNHP, and I'm thrilled to have this gem in my community. The farm museum and grounds are beautiful and provide endless educational opportunities, but for me the real draw is the beautiful network of carriage roads and trails. I push a doublewide running stroller on the carriage roads almost every day from spring to fall with my young kids, and I'm grateful every time. In the winter I've enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing, and someday I'd like to bring my skis as well. Don't miss the back way up to Mt Tom via the Faulkner trail, or be like me and connect downtown Woodstock with the Prosper Road trailhead via Faulkner.
cool farm and they have the best cheddar!!
Kids loved it
Attended a sheep talk, watched a cow get milked, amazing tour of farm house. Guides were more informative, friendly and helpful than expected.
Great time
Paved trails, very nice for walking and light hiking.
Great place to take the kids
Historic. Rockefeller place. Woodstock village near by. Hiking, shopping. Nice place.
The old ski hill located past the main entrance on your left as your head towards Suicide Six is a great ski hill. Used to be call Mt. Tom re-school or day care. I went there as a child. But this spot is a great HammerHead sled hill. As well as the access road to the pouge. Check this spot out for sledding.
Beautiful home and garden
National historic site
Great Place
The Halloween activities were fun for my 7 year old!
Beautiful location.
Enjoyed it. I thought this would accept National parks passport, did not. It was very nice.
Beautiful place for a nice day there is a lot to see
This is a great place for a walk!
Although historically interesting with beautiful architecture, this is a wonderful place to just get outdoors. There are lots of tree covered carriage roads and hiking paths that weave the property. We hiked up to the Pogue, which is a beautiful pond, especially this time of year (fall) with the foliage peeking through. Parking is convenient and plentiful across the street. There is no entrance fee to the park, but if touring the buildings, there is a charge. Reservations are suggested for the house tours. There are lots of activities everyday, so check online for the schedule ahead of time.
Plenty of details on past and current farming including hands on experiences from making ice cream to milking cows. Great place to spend the day.
Best (only) National Park in Vermont! Carriage trails make this a 4 season must for being outside.
Beautiful grounds. We enjoyed exploring and learning more about the area.
An interesting stop, but the tour isn’t worth the $8/person charge. Your National Parks pass isn’t worth anything here because they don’t charge a regular admission, though they do charge for the tour. We did enjoy walking the grounds/trails for two days though!
Never anything new
Beautiful location
Fun place to go with friends and family, especially if you have kids
This is where the Vermont forestry was reborn setting an example by Mr. Rockefeller himself.
Fabulous house (mansion), very nice artwork
Very nice Museum, Farm and loved the Sunflower Maze.
We only hiked and walked the carriage roads and trails. Still lots of ice and snow. Wear cleats or micro spikes. Some signage could be improved.
Nice working farm and estate. A good glimpse at Vermont life in 1890. Many trails for hiking. Exhibits and dairy bar. Well worth a visit.
Great place to visit!
My children love visiting this place.
Great place to spend the day. Nice grounds to hike also.
Great hikes, excellent history presentation, interesting farm.
Relaxing park with a beautiful view of the river.
how this place has a 4.7 rating is beyond me. if i could i give it 10 stars. i would. the house is incredible and the guest house is cool. just wish i could of went inside the guest house. after see the houses check out the hiking trails which are beautiful during the falls. don't miss this wonderful place. after the head over to woodstock. nice place to shop and eat. bring a camera they now allow pictures. :)
Beautiful estate. Learned so much. Highly recommend visiting it.
The national historic park is not the same as the farm. They have two different booking systems so if you are going to one be sure you know how to buy tickets. The mansion and park were phenomenal grounds and the mansion itself was gorgeous and just the way it should have been left.
Amazing workmanship on the woodwork. Guides are really informative about the museum
Great spot for an afternnon hike. Just challenging enough to keep things interesting but very doable in an afternoon. Great snowshoeing and XC skiing in the winter, too! Be sure to download a map or pick one up at the visitor center.
Not bad
Billings Farm was fun for the whole family
We had a fantastic hike with Ranger Julia who helped bring a new dimension to the AT. Her knowledge, poems and trivia questions were a delight. Similarly, Ranger Scott helped make a interesting connection regarding how the wealthy purchased art, some of which reflected their views on conservation. Overall, our first visit to MBR Park leads us to highly recommend it. We hope that one day the park will continue its tours through the winter, when the lighting creates a new experience.
Beautiful natural scenery, historical homes, museum and a farm in quaint Woodstock, Vermont. A must see!
Beautiful park, great wildlife
This was a real highlight to our Vermont trip. Museum and movie are very worthwhile to visit. Do not miss tour of manor house, Complete with furnishings of all 3 historical owners. I was fascinated with biography of Mr. Marsh, in particular. As a graduate of Syracuse University College of Forestry, we studied his writings as the virtual father of the American environmental conservation movement. Photo is of Gorge, which is nearby.
Great gardens
It is a farm with a Mansion. I didn't find it particularly interesting but I didn't go on the trails
A lot of history here. A working farm that raised prize winning live stock. A must see if you are in the area.
Very clean cows nice area trails were great
Great working farm, nice visit.
A great experience! So much history and beauty. It was very educational. It would be a fabulous 4-H excursion.
A nice place to end up a hike! Woodstock is a cute little town.
Wonderful place to take the kids and see how a real farm works. Run by National Parks and decent(yet fairly short) hiking trails up the hill for an adventure.
Very nice and relax environment. Easy walking along the carriage road to the open view of Woodstock from South Peak, and to the pond, which should be very beautiful with the foliage. The ranger was very helpful, and we should listen to her not to come down via the smaller trails, which are not well marked.
Wonderful day of history.
We hiked up to and around the Pogue (14 acre pond) which is really pretty place to stroll around.
Always worth a walk to the Pogue, especially during peak foliage.
Friendly and informative staff, good day out.
Great place for a walk! Scenic views and paths right in the heart of nature. It's a must see for anyone who finds themselves around here.
It is not interesting
To much to see you need hours
If you are interested in village kind of experience...good to visit
Interesting if you're in to historical farms. My kids weren't.
Very nice, little know park. Parkking is at billings farm across the street, but they will let you drive up if handicapped. Great house tour and movie. The farm is a separate charge.
Great American history
Awesome place for hiking
Perfect country setting and a lot of history
The museum & movie in the welcome center were very interesting. The guides in the home were very knowledgeable. Kids enjoyed the animals and their ice cream.
Wonderful place to visit loves the sunflowers and gigantic pumpkins!
Great house and grounds. Amazing art work on the walls. The Jr. Ranger Badge is wooden,,made with wood from the property!
A must see and taste be for you die. Do you like chocolate milk? That should be enough, but they make ice cream too. If you don't go, don't worry, ill eat your share . Don't go lookin for 2% or that sissy skim milk here, this is a real farm. Go take a look. NO FARMS NO FOOD!
Loved everything about this place. Came on a whim... And left very happy that I got a chance to experience the park.
Beautiful grounds and wonderful walking paths throughout the estates property
Amazing. The stove was in great condition, and the tour guides told us so much!
Loved it.
Very nice place
Awesome hiking trails
Fascinating history, lovely grounds for walking/hiking.
Very nice, pleasant people, good time.
Great hilly hikes. Great views from the top. Great yearly run road to the pouge
Parking is at the Farm Museum, and you must walk up quite a hill to get to the NPS visitors center. This isn't obviously posted, so if you have difficuly walking, get dropped off at the NPS visitors center first.
