We stopped here by accident on our first trip to the area and came back on purpose the second time! Charming and big country store to poke around in for a nice souvenir. Of course we tried the donuts (unclear when they roll them in sugar and when that's not an option- but both are great). Seems the cafe next door is very popular for their sandwiches.

Really enjoyed my visit. They have plenty to see and eat! You can watch the process, sample the cider, buy fresh baked pies etc. I reccomend the mini pie samples (I sampled all 12), the cider, jams, jellies, marinates, maple syrup, donuts, and cider slushies. If you are not driving, get the hard cider across the street, good.

Great place to take kids, learn about cider, drink fresh cider and buy a lot of stuff. They carry lots of VT made goodies even Darn tough socks which I love!! Buyer beware a lot of cutesy things that are made in China (honey jars etc). There are items that are marked up, especially the aged maple syrups from local VT places, I found their price wildly varied $5-10 per bottle all over the state for the same bottle, best to grab at the source or at small shops than big tourist spots if you want to save $$. But there are some nice unique items to be found-- Just check the prices I almost bought a $120 jingle Bell

We drove 2.5 hours to this place from the White Mountains, and it was worth every minute! A very welcoming atmosphere, we ended up getting a 4-hard cider flight. Probably some of the best cider I've ever had as it's not too sweet like store bought cider. The gift store was pretty large and they have an area where you can dine. The food came out fast and the Roast Beef Florentine was the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. 100% would recommend to families, couples, and all!

My family has been going to Vt for many years and we always make sure to stop at Cold Hollow everytime we love the store and the cider and donuts are loved by us all. My son in law and grandkids also love the cider hotdogs we went last year on a Monday and they don't do them on weekdays so this years trip will be this weekend. This is our second year coming to Vermont and our first stop this year was to Cold Hollow Cider Mill. My husband and I came last year and picked up gifts for family members and tried the Cider donuts, which were the best I have tasted. We brought our friends with us this year and stopped when we arrived. Our friends loved your shop so much they asked if we could stop on the way home so they can pick up more of the cider and donuts to bring home. Hopefully we will return again next year.

Best apple cider doughnuts ever!!!! Can always find a gift from Vermont for anyone, especially foodies. So many unique jams and jellies, Beach Plum is my favorite. Also love all the sauces, dips, salsas, desserts, herbs, dressings and many the other condiments. And never forget to grab a gallon of cider for home. My kids love it warmed up after a day of snow sports.

Makes me happy walking through the doors, smells are scrumptious and so many jams, syrup, honeys, spreads, vinegar etc. Lots of giftware for home, garden, personal care, souveniers... too many to count. They serve beverages and donuts, homebaked foods, pet teats and they have a viewing room to watch how cider is made, video demonstration and tasting tank. Very good quality cider. My donut was served warm, lovely, mild taste and soft texture...yum! Outdoor seating in warmer weather, ample parking, wheelchair accessible, seating inside, bathrooms, ATM available, tourist rack with maps etc. Besides buying orange-cranberry jam, I found a bear cookie cutter...yay!

Great store! My wife and I visited the week we eloped in Stowe and brought back goodies for our families. The apples, cider, honey and maple syrup were delicious and the cider donuts were pretty good. The only suggestion for a 5 star rating is that we would LOVE for there to be an option to have some of your cider donuts rolled in sugar. Growing up in the Midwest, we always chose which apple orchard we went to based off the best sugar cider donuts! They do get a 5 Star for shipping goods as the items we sent back to our families arrived quickly and fresh!

This is a staple of the Stowe area. Come here on your way in, on your way out, or right before a trip to the Waterbury Reservoir. They have a huge number of Vermont souvenirs from socks and shirts to funny pot holders and key chains. What you really come for however are the cider donuts which are made fresh right near the counter. Hot apple cider is also a perfect treat on a cold day while cider a cider slushy is perfect for the hot ones.

Waist of time!!!! The staff was rude and insincere, Apple cider donuts were mediocre at best. They were cold and lacked flavor. A dozen donuts at Dunkin Donuts tastes a million times better and is cheeper. We went at 12pm Sunday on President's Day weekend, which is prime time in VT ski areas, & they didn't even have the tour going. Overall impression, there are lots of places similar to this place, and you'll have a better time.

Fantastic experience! The process of making apple cider can be watched up close, and the apple cider is sampled. The sweet aroma of their famous apple cider donuts is a reason alone to visit this lovely mill. Their gift shop is very cute, and you can observe bees in their hive. Their bakery is well stocked and includes gluten free options! I would definitely visit here time and time again.

The best cider donuts on the planet, hands down! Been going to Stowe for the last couple of years and this is one of my first stops before heading down to golden eagle to check in. Great cider as well, I like the addition of the tasting tank, wasn't there when I went in 2015. Plenty of VT themed knick knacks, and other assorted souvenirs. Love this place, and can't wait to go back later in 2016, or early next year.

Very disappointed you walk in and see the fresh apple pie being made through a window pick one up on the way out bring it to the register ask the person if it was fresh baked today and told yes I was having company that night go to serve the pie to find out it is moldy inside and out buyer be ware thoroughly check your purchase prior to leaving and insist on a fresh baked pie that day.

Visited Cold Hollow while RV traveling through HH. Being able to watch the cider press in action and sample some cider was fantastic. They have tons of culinary items mostly all from Vermont, some even are sampled. The donuts are a good base, but they don't offer any donut (topping) flavors (such as cinnamon & sugar, or maple bacon, or glazed, or caramel frosted, etc). This is very sad, but also a huge missed opportunity. I guess it helps with overeating cider donuts, as I bought 1, instead of 18. I will enthusiastically be back.

Love this place for Vermont souvenirs and uh-may-zing cider donuts. There is a place in Oregon where I live that makes them, too, but for some reason not nearly as good as this place, nor as fresh. I came here the first time in 2013, and again this year and loved it both times; nothing has changed! The restaurant is good, too, and in the same parking lot. Had their corned beef hash the first time I came in March of 2013 and would definitely do that again.

We were very excited to check out this place after reading reviews. We knew we had only few minutes until the store closes, so we planned to be done in 5 min to see if it's worth coming back the following day. The minute we stepped in, one if the employee came to us to stop us from checking out an area because they have just mopped the floor, and they did not want anyone to go there. You are kidding me? Why would you mop the floor before the store closes? That was a turn off for me and my family. Poor customer service:-(

Cold Hollow Cider Mill is worth a visit for delicious apple cider and cider donuts. You can watch how the crushed apples are made into cider through a window for free. Cider (not hard cider) samples are also free and self-serve. Souvenirs and food products (e.g. maple, honey) are also sold here. Definitely a great shop for gifts. The cider donuts was delicious, denser cake-like donut. Best enjoyed with some apple cider. My friend used a purchase of $25 voucher to get half a dozen donuts. We chose to just get 3 donuts, since we wouldn’t be able to finish it.

As a local Vermonter, Cold Hollow Cider Mill is one of the places I bring friends and relatives who visit from out-of-state and overseas. The store is fully stocked with local goods and delicacies and very Vermont-y gifts. Don't forget to wander way back of the store where you'll find a large tank of cold delicious cider which you can drink to glory. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see the workers press cider in an adjoining glassed room. When you're here, you must have the hot fresh cider donuts which are too delicious to even describe. Yum!

One of their signs exclaimed, "world famous cider donuts and real Vermonters" which is a pretty good summary. The store has plenty of other small Vermonty things that you can pick up, but it's the cider and donuts that will keep you coming back for more. We swing by any time that we're in the state.

Cold Hollow Cider Mill is a decent place to visit, but there's not much to see and do (the brochures are a bit misleading on this point). There is a nice little shop with different jams and other products produced at the mill along with touristy souvenirs and novelties. This is a small cafe where you can enjoy cider, coffee, and their "world famous" cider donut.

The Cider Mill is awesome. The quaint old-timey feel, the shop, the food and the smells... all of it. Just pulling into the parking lot you feel the nostalgia of what's going on here. I immediately broke a smile as I stepped from the truck and was welcomed by the aroma of fresh apples surrounding the entire place. The Vermonter breakfast sandwich was out of this world! Paired with a pint of their apple cider it was the perfect brunch on that overcast, early spring day. I then went across the parking lot to the shop and the smells of the bakery immediately made me wish I had another stomach to stash more food in! I ended up finding just enough room for a couple small apple cider donuts (yes, that's a thing) and these things are little, lightly fried nuggets of pure happiness. Stop in, give it all a try, and take home a few of their locally made hard ciders (they are all tasty but I recommend the Good Altitude for a nice, light, crisp yet sweet offering.)

My toddler wanted some donuts so we came here to see how they made cider and their cider donuts. The place has an area to sample the cider and watch people make it. We saw how the cider donuts were made and bought half a dozen to eat. My son really liked trying both the cider and cider donuts. I didn't know about this place, I had no expectations for this place, but it is now my favorite place in Vermont. I loved everything about it. It's an absolutely adorable little gift shop that makes you feel like you're in a small, Southern USA town.The donuts were AMAZING & the cider was, without exaggeration, the best I've had in my entire life. They have a viewing area for you to see how the cider is made & another viewing area where you can eat a donut on a stool while you watch bakers make apple pie! If that's not your idea of a good time then you should reevaluate your idea of a good time. I loved this place so much & I can't wait to go back! I'm still craving that hot apple cider...

The self-guided factory tour was small, but interesting and great if you catch them doing something (often it may just be cleaning or preparing). The place is mostly a [gift] shop with a great choice of local produce which overshadows the Cold Hollow Cider; great gift ideas. The donuts were tasty and a bargain. The freshly pressed apple cider was refreshing too. Recommended.

Great place for buying fresh made Apple Cider, cider donuts and other fresh baked items like APPLE PIE!!! - yummm! - Vermont tourist items like mugs, kitchen items, Vermont made Maple syrup and candies - adults and children will enjoy seeing apple cider made right in front of you and to be able to sample it. It is a cute place that I often send my Vermont visiting friends to - and often stop in when I am in the area as they will send products out to friends around the country. It is conveniently located on Route 100 - near Stowe and not far from Ben and Jerry's - good parking.

Came here multiple times while in town. Doughnuts are really solid and inexpensive, can buy by the dozen. Apple cider likewise good and sold in different sizes. Quaint little gift shop as well and outdoor covered seating. Probably most inexpensive place to get a good breakfast in stowe. A must stop.

We had a great time tasting the wines and learning about wine making in Vermont (who've thunk?). We had several excellent drinks like the Ice Maple Creme and the Glögg, the latter is entirely authentic Scandinavian (I'm Danish so I know). Very worthwhile visit.

Really cute and fun place to visit. We had hot cider and a cider donut- both were delicious. The people working their are really nice and helpful. There are tons of cute things to buy that will help you remember your trip.

This place is great, great baked goods and food, kids like seeing cider being made. Only downside is, it gets VERY busy on weekends and during fall season. It will be very crowded shoulder to shoulder.

I had them ship apples, cider, cheese and maple syrup to my daughter in Oregon. She had been longing for the flavors of home, a good McIntosh apple, New England apple cider, Vermont cheddar cheese and maple syrup. I couldn't find any New Hampshire orchards that would ship apple cider so I started surfing the web. Luckily I found Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Vermont. They have a wide variety of products and will ship them anywhere. My daughter said everything arrived cold, fresh, delicious and ready to eat out of the box. She was very pleased and happy with everything. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a great New England gift Idea.

A totally awesome experience stopping in at the cold Hollow cider mill. The warm cider donuts are to die for!!! Top it off with a sample cup of good fresh cold cider right from the barrel and you can't beat it anywhere! Only in Vermont baby! ❤️

Simple delicious!! Great place to grab a fresh yummy snack and learn about how Apple cider is made. You can really get to experience the process at cold hollow with there viewing windows that gives you a look into the cider making process and the tasting tank makes this experience even better. There's even a gift shop!!
