Poor telephone customer service just made me reconsider spending ~$1,000 in arbor trek gift certificates for several newlyweds.... A big bummer because I was pretty damn excited to buy the gifts. I know customer service doesn't speak to the whole experience, but it's often a good indication of a company's overall approach to people. Bad energy for an experience like this is far more significant than if it was a customer service phone call regarding my cable bill.

Olivia, Sam and Katie are fantastic guides. They are super polite, patient and fun. The ziplines are fun and well as the repelling. I hate heights and am a wuss but I was never made to feel about about it. It is something that every one needs to experience at some point. If you're in the Vermont area, this would be your most exciting 1st time.

The experience was wonderful. Our tour guides Conner and Harry were amazing. They were friendly, professional and personable. They followed all safety procedures and did really well calming nerves when needed. They were quite funny and did a great job adjusting their approach to the group. They pointed out some great information about the ziplines and the area. We were all very impressed. We were in a bachelorette party and the bride and groom got a free t-shirt. We also got the photo packages and Connor and Harry did a wonderful job capturing the fun. I would definitely do it again!

Fantastic experience in an absolutely beautiful location. If you are lucky enough to take part in this adventure definitely ask for Andy and Joe they are hilarious together but super informative about the local surroundings. The zip line itself is just right for beginners as they really ease you into the process. Very fun experience, will surely go back when in Vermont!

As a Fathers Day gift, I took my father here for the All Day Adventure and it was absolutely fabulous! We started on the ziplines which were tons of fun. Foliage was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the tour guides were great! Next was climbing. The climbing course had a variety of different challenges and while they were fun and challenging, my dad and I both agree that they should think about putting a bell at the top of each climb. That way you could reach a reward at the end of your struggle! And then came the rope course. It took a minute to figure out the hooking and unhooking and being in a group of 12 with kids made getting through the small course take a while, but once we reached the Back Forty, we got our challenge! Tons of crazy obstacles and plenty of different things to keep you busy. We had a ton of fun and really hope to come back again soon!

What a terrific time. We took the junior course and we're the only people. We did it fast enough we were told we could do it again if we wanted. The staff was really great. We ended up not going for second round but didn't he rock climbing and other climbing obstacles. Not going to lie, my arms are killing me but it was a fun and we definitely will be going back

I’ve done the full ArborTrek cycle twice and LOVED both times! Great route, fun and friendly professional guides, and a gorgeous view. But what made me write this review is the exceptional customer service I received over Christmas when I contacted the ArborTrek folks about two gift certificates I’d bought a while back and lost. Even though it turned out that the gift certificates were three years old and pre-dated their current gift card system, ArborTrek graciously honored them. Not only that, but the owner offered to send new handwritten gift certificates because they would make a much nicer gift. They certainly did! The certificates arrived fast, looked beautiful, and were much appreciated. This business gets an A+ for customer service! As a small-business owner myself, I understand and appreciate their willingness to go above and beyond. ArborTrek is not only a blast, it’s a class act.

We had an all around awesome experience!! The staff was helpful and personable and most importantly, they knew what they were doing and were safe. There were a great variety of ziplines for everyone to enjoy from our young boys to the adults! The stand alone obstacles were also a hit! They have it all, whether you want to take it easy with young kids or truly challenge yourself. Well worth the money and time. We will definitely be back!

Amazingly great time with Jake and Connor as our guides. There were a few of us with height fears and they were patient and kind especially as we repelled the first time. I would do this again hands down. This is flying through the trees really zip lining versus being on a thrill ride with an automatic stop.

This company offers several different packages, but I did the zip lining. There are 8 different lines, 2 suspension bridges and 2 rappeling platforms. It is all fantastic! I went in a group of 8 that ranged from a 10 yrs old girl to a woman in her 50s (okay that's me.) We all had a great time. The two guides were funny, charming and informative. They made sure we were safe, trained and that we were having fun. The landscape is so breathtaking that even waiting on each platform is awesome. I had a great time. The prices are very reasonable for the experience and I highly recommend it for all ages (10 yrs & older) as a fun adventure.

Went there today to find out that a 2 1/2 hour adventure for the family was delayed due to a much noticeably slower group. Employees should be aware with larger groups to separate them and start on different areas of the course. The worst part was 1/2 our group was cut off 20 minutes early and It's not like you can just show up there and climb. 5-20-16. Spoke with a manager about our experience a few days after our visit. He was very apologetic and sincere. Explained how they strive on making the best experience for every visitor. I truly believe we just happened to be caught in a situation that was out of anyone's control. They made good with me and my family and we are very pleased.

This was FUN FUN FUN! We had such a great time. I’m a little scared of heights and the tour guide made me feel at home!! The zip lines we absolutely FANTASTIC! We’ve never done it before and it was amazing! Would recommend for beginners. The views were unbelievable! I was a little hesitant about the repelling. The first time I was scared but the second time went much better. You have to do this tour!!!

The guides were top notch, experienced, pleasant, and thorough. I've done some climbing and rapelling before, and I know the difference between competence and incompetence. ArborTrek runs a competent, safe, and exhilarating operation. Our 13-year old daughter was flying confidently through the air, as was my 55-year wife and me (53 years old). We zipped down some 10 lines, and everybody in our party had fun. The gear is good and mostly brand new, the course is exciting and treats the trees with respect, and the guides are cool. Recommended!

My wife and I went here this autumn to do the zip line course and had a really good time. The staff was helpful, friendly and excited. The course was a lot of fun, we had a better time than we expected. In taking off one star because a) its a little pricey b) they were an incredible pain when we wanted to change times due to a scheduling issue - long story short, they didn't let us c) you use gloves to stop yourself, which is fine, but the gloves they gave me were a little worn, particularly in one spot, and a few times that became rather uncomfortable.

Rip-off!! Ridiculous rules and policy....for treetop course they need parents to assist their kids 1:1 ratio. They expect the parents to pay full price of $60 for the course which they would not be able to goto as they are assisting.little ones.

My husband and I went here on Day 3 of our honeymoon and it was excellent. Neither of us had ever ziplined but it was easy and so much fun. The guides (Jack and Andrew) were excellent and made it very enjoyable. We plan on going back next year

This is NOT the crazy 400 foot off the ground zip-line that follows the mountain ski trails!! This is a friendly tree-top experience in the woods where the zip-lines are anchored to trees with built-in platforms. If you want a family-friendly experience that doesn't scare the living hell out of you, this is for YOU. Our guides Isaac & Samantha were the epitome of kindness and they were very knowledgeable about the local ecology and the information about the trees was very much appreciated. Although Isaac apologized many times about the redundancy of his technical instructions, he stuck to his program and did not go off the narrative to seem "cool" to the old folks. LOL. They were both sweet young people and we enjoyed their company enormously. We had the good fortune to fly the zip-lines in the rain. Some might think that on the downside, but I'm just crazy enough to think it was a boon, as the bugs were practically non-existent and there was no issues from excessive heat. The trickiest part of the course was actually the rappel off the platforms. There's a tricky one-foot turn around that they teach you and the first time you do it, you feel like you have two left feet, but after you try it, you'll be an old pro and then you find the rappel to be slow and steady. Nothing at all to freak you out. In closing, all I can say is that we expected a great experience and we were NOT disappointed. God Bless the folks who started Arbor Trek and keep it running. I can't say enough great things here! During a road trip last month we (family of four, kids age 8&6) stopped here on a whim. The staff was young but knowledgeable and clearly loved their job! We had so much fun as a family; and our 8yr old who has a fear of heights really felt comfortable with our guides. In my opinion this is one of the best attractions in the area. They offer a wide variety of obstacles for kids all the way up to teens and parents. I had a great time with my family and want to give a special thanks to everyone that helped us today, Jason on climbing, Jonathan and Amanda on the canopy top zip line tour and with Zach, who was extremely helpful and encouraging on the ropes course aka "the back 40". They offer something for all skill groups, ranging from the "the Eliminator" and "the Goliath" to easy paced obstacles for the kids at "the apple Creek". The whole experience was wonderful and I had no complaints whatsoever and I highly recommend this to anyone considering it!

What a great experience. My daughter and I went today to do Arbor track zip lines at smugglers notch. We had two great instructors DJ and Scott. They were both very knowledgeable and taught us well. Our whole group did really well. DJ and Scott made the experience much more pleasurable. My daughter and I will probably go again next time we come up to smugglers notch. It was a great time.

Jason and Eric were such great guides. What a thrilling adventure. My husband and I did the Zipline in the fall, beautiful colors, scenery and views of the stream underneath us. They really make it a fun experience and make you feel comfortable. I am afraid of heights, but this adventure left me not remembering the heights, but taking in the adventure instead. Well worth the money. Because we csm during shoulder season, we got in quickly, joined up with a great family of four and had the place to ourselves. They even took pictures along the way and can show the memories to others.

ArborTrek set up a climbing wall at Stowe's annual July 4th celebrations and my kids loved it! Both my 7 year old and 4 year old tried out the climbing wall. The staff were extremely professional, patient and friendly. We have also visited ArborTrek at the Smugglers Notch location. Beautiful location and the park far surpassed my expectations. They have great tree top canopy options for all skill and age levels.

Hal was a great guide and even though my son could only do the Jr. course and the climbing adventure, it was very challenging and was a super fun time for us all. There are plenty of options on the Jr course, so you can spend a good amount of time there and the climbing adventure is really challenging for all ages. Can’t wait to go back one day when my son is older and we can experience the other adventures!!

This is a top-notch tourist destination! The well-maintained zipline course is really awesome! It includes several long and beautiful runs down the mountainside, two suspension bridges and two rappells, none of which were too challenging for this 57-year-old grandmother! Our guides were fantastic. They trained us on the equipment and gave safety instructions before we started out, then reminded us of everything as we progressed through the course. They also provided encouragement, local history tidbits, lessons about nature and lots of good humor throughout our three-hour adventure. At the end of the excursion, we received a large file of photos--individual and group--for only $5. I would highly recommend the ArborTrek Canopy Adventures zipline experience!!

I spent this morning flying through the trees with our guides, Mike and Jason; what a fun way to spend a beautiful August morning in VT! The course is designed in a manner that allows you to build your confidence, and by the third zip our group was in a nice flow. This is definitely a great adventure with knowledgeable , professional guides who keep you safe while sharing their knowledge of the local area from a great vantage point!

This is the most amazing experience. My son enjoyed it so much, we went back the following week with the whole family. The guides are expert and well-versed in the forestry and the history of the area. My children couldn't stop talking about having "such a blast" in the car ride home. This place is an absolute must see and go to attraction for people with an adventurous side. If you’re comfortable with heights and dangling from atop the tree canopy then this might be for you. The guides were all class and very knowledgeable and put safety first. We appreciated their enthusiasm for their craft and the encouragement. This is not for the faint hearted- but if you think you can’t do it; you might surprise yourself. There are actually two opportunities to leave the zip line course if you feel it’s not for you- which is a nice option to have. We had a wonderful experience with the Arbortrek zipline adventure today. Yes, it is pricey, but worth it. There is all sorts of gear that is required and the guides are top-notch. Also, it is over a two hour experience, with many ziplines of varying lengths stretched through the forest. Josh and Tanner were awesome. They are knowledgeable about the history, geology, and natural environment of the area, which they shared with us. They put their guest's safety and comfort first. It is an all-around great experience and I recommend it without hesitation.

ArborTreck is loved by my friends here in Vermont and by the many that I know who come up to experience Vermont. At Eden Ethical Dog Sledding we often recommend families, individuals and couples to come here when they are looking for other interesting things to do in Vermont. I like to hike - but I am not that adventurous to be rock climbing, etc -and heights are not exactly my thing - so the idea of zip lining was not exactly on my bucket list. BUT - when offered a non-refundable gift - -at age 65 I drove over to the Arbortrek which is near Smuggler's Notch resort. The staff were very helpful and I went through a general class on how to put on the equipment - and what to expect - then they took us out and demonstrated the overhead braking technique - and allowed us, with encouragement - to practice. We then drove up to the top of the run in their tour bus. With good instruction and great attitudes - the staff helped each of us to understand each of the eight ziplines that take participants down the mountain. Although I was timid at first - soon I was flying along at each zipline - and loving it! I am not sure that this bookish person will be back to try it again - but I recommend it to all - - and so many just LOVE IT! And to those who do ziplines around North America - - I have heard that this is one of their favorites! As I look at my experience at ArborTreck - I realize that I crossed off one of the things on my Bucket List - I often have fond memories thinking about the various parts of the course and the experience over all - -

We booked a zip lining tour for 9 today for my brother in law's bachelor party.... everyone was so happy that we decided to do this instead of the typical sloppy bachelor party stuff. The zip lining was safe and the staff was very professional. We were up high in the trees zipping down....one run was up to a 1000 foot cable. Would highly recommend this!

The treetop adventure was fun. 3 kids 12 - 18 had a blast as did the wife and I. The obstacles ranged from easy to super difficult but the guides were helpful talking us through and giving pointers. We were thinking about doing the junior course as this was our first time doing this, but the back 40 course was definitely worth the extra money dor the extra challenges and fun of the course. Highly recommend this.

The first day we were there we did the kids course that allowed us to get used to the methods...which led us to the back 40 where we had a challenging, yet unforgettable experience! We loved watching our son and his friend work together and encourage each other through some of the more demanding areas of the course. My kids begged us to do more so we went on the guided canopy tour on another day. Our guides were great! We felt like safety was a top priority and never thought twice about trusting our kids who were fearless!! We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful tour through the woods and learned a lot along the way! It would be a great tour in the fall with all of the changing leaves!

Olivia, Matt, and Isaac were excellent tour guides! They told us some awesome facts about nature, they were friendly, personable and polite, and most importantly they were clear with instructions and guidance. I have gone zip lining other places before, and this was def one of the better ones! Amazing views and extremely fun, definitely would recommend! This was a highlight of my trip :)
