We went twice while we were on vacation. The first time was a saturday and it was very crowded and traffic moved quite slowly. We still saw deer and some wild turkeys though. The second time was on a Monday and it wasnt5so crowded. We saw some women pointing up a hill and I asked if there was a bear. There was so we parked and got out to look. We saw it but it moved too quick to get a picture. Just about that time someone said there's one behind you! There was a mama bear across the street with 3 cubs back behind her playing. It made my whole trip to see them. All of cades cove is beautiful. Definitely worth going and spending your time exploring.

This is part of the Cade's cove loop. It was an interesting stop asking the way. Nice, little old building and a little cemetery that we checked out.

Beautiful church. The guide book ($1 at the information station at the beginning of the loop) explains the history...get the guide book! Cades Cove is a favorite and a must see if you like nature or history. We were there on a Sunday and only saw half the loop. Traffic was heavy on the one way loop. Take lots of water and use the restroom before you start, as there is only a restroom at building 11, the historic mill. The water fountain there was broken. Previously I was there on a weekday and there were no backups in traffic. Many of the backups were due to animal sightings. We saw 5 black bears and several turkeys during our afternoon there.

Absolutely love cades cove! Go everytime we are in Tennessee. Saw 3 bears today about 25 ft from us. Highly recommend stepping back in time and going

What amazing place, a step back into time. Definitely worth the visit. Best times to visit though would be when school is in session during the week. It gets really crowded in the summer.
