DESCRIPTION

You have all the reviews of people like you who are using the services and products of Geographic Center of the Nation Monument (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to South Dakota.

To this day this firm has a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 390 reviews.

As you can see the average score it has is practically the best, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the rating is quite credible. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased, it works.

As you know, we do not usually stop to place opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Very nice stop. The museum had much more fun to see stuff than we expected for such a small facility. Staff was very friendly. Restrooms were clean. We were able to park our 38' Class A Motorhome with tow vehicle in the lot but that could be difficult if they are busy.

This was a neat place to stop on my way from the Black Hills to Theodore Roosevelt NP. Thankfully, I knew to look for it -- otherwise, I probably would have missed it entirely. Unfortunately, I was there on a Sunday so the visitors center was closed - I would have loved to learn more about Belle Fourche

Chris Brubaker

Nice people working there

Doug Robinson

Didn't get to see a lot. It's closed on Sunday. Real nice outside.

Rockhound Forever

Beautiful place, I had no idea this place was the National Geological Center of the United States.

Katie Mitchell

Very interesting geographical spot! Be sure to visit the near by Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Visitors Center and local history museum. All beautifully maintained and displayed!

Doug Crane

Cool spot for a photo op.

Nate Church

What a fun surprise! We had no idea this was in South Dakota, it was a cool sight to see that we were not expecting. If you are road tripping through, for some reason, it’s definitely a place to stop and see. I’m assuming not that many people can say that they have been to the geographic center of the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), it is something you could check off your bucket list!

Linda Havner

Great prices in the giftshop

Doug Stanley

Cool to see if you are in the area

Great modern Visitor Center on US Highway 85. Get your smashed pennies here! Adjacent to the river with paved walking trails. Awesome patio and flag area with the geographical center of USA Focus. Gift shop.

eric weiser

Cool place to visit while in Sturgis, SD. Nice museum here on the grounds as well. 4 stars because it's just a photo op, kinda boring.

Clifford F

Taking a picture of yourself at the geographic center of the USA is just a fun thing to do. Just an FYI - the geographic center of the lower 48 states of the USA is in Lebanon, KS for those who are looking for travel oddities.

elaine tubb

Pretty surroundings and very interesting museum.

Mary B Arpaio

To me it was worth the drive to see the expansive prairie. Mind you it is 8 miles off rt. 385 on a dirt road. Be sure to clock the miles when you get off the highway, or you will go by it and have to turn around. Most people won't it is worth it, but I'd you key your mind go you can see the plains as they once were.

Roberta Thornton

We live just 45 minutes away from the center of the nation. My first time going there. Great little museum and fun activies for kids to do! Why not go?!

corey gavin

Belle fourche is a great little town

Loren O'Brien

A quick visit to see some cool monuments. Very good to the town for the monuments to their veterans.

Kaye Moss

Also has a very interesting Museum.

Jeanne McMillan

A very nostalgic and beautiful little place. We walked down to the "Center of the Nation" granite plaque that has the map of the USA embedded in it and the circle representing Belle Fourche, SD in the middle. There are the flags of our nation's states, all along the walkway. There is also an old house on the grounds, built by "Buckskin" John Spaulding and his brother-in-law, Thomas J. Davis in 1876-77. Very quaint house, but it even had an actual stairway in the house to get upstairs, instead of a ladder that many old houses originally had. We didn't visit the Belle Fourche Museum, but the grounds were lovely and had memorial's for many of the wars and their veterans. Definitely a place to visit if you are in the area.

Lori Pan

Cool place and a fun quick stop for photos

S Fausey

Great place to experience the geo center of the nation and their little museum of past times

SK Dymmel

Interesting museum inside information center.

Promod Sharma

Well worth a visit. We found this place via a sign on the highway and enjoyed the significance of the location. Also a nice spot for a picnic and photos.

Anna Hogan

Great for the children ..it was a wonderful place great information and we were all alduts..take the time it was awsome.

Cynthia Trevino

This was an easy quick photo op on a road trip. The museum was close, but the actual memorial is out in public. Easy to get to. Got gas across the street and I was on my way!

Rick Hollebeke

Stop by and see the center of the US. But of course this is just the monument. The real center is about 20 miles away down a dirt road but for those on 2 wheels this will do just fine

Scott Biegert

Nothing much but nice to get out and look at the collection of flags.

Roxanne Buxton

Not much really here other than the marker on the ground - sort of like going to four corners in Utah. One big difference is the geographic center is NOT really in this location!

Gaming For Idiots

The rooms are very unique and the views are beautiful

Mary Duncan

What a fun place to visit and see things from our history. The cabin is amazing, to see how many people lived there and how they survived. The gentleman that told us about the cabin was extremely knowledgeable and didn't mind answering all the questions. Thank you for this experience

Clark Renfrow

I didn't realize Belle Fourche was the geographical spot in the USA. Good place to check out.

D Town

Interesting place to stop at. Its not a lot to see & you could look around in about an hours time.

Spencer S

The town of Belle Fourche days it's the geographic center of the USA (including Hawaii and Alaska) but it's actually about 18 miles outside is town in the middle of a farmer's field. Worth the extra drive.

Jeanie Hoffman

It was cool. Very impressed!

Marie Getz

We saw a terrific 4th of July parade and rodeo. Incredibly friendly people!

KIMBERLY HUDSON

So beautiful and interesting.

Steven Price

Who would guess that the Center of the USA is located in South Dakota. You can take a beautiful canyon drive and see the bridal Vail Falls, where I'm sure there has been more than one proposal to marriage at this location. Enjoy the pics.

gavin corey

The geographic center of the nation museum and disc golf park is one of my favorite places to go in this beautiful little town. The disc golf course is beautiful and challenging and the Belle fourche river runs right through it making it even more spectacular. They need to maintain the grounds a little better and consider making it 18 holes rather than just 9 because there is ample land and it is rapidly becoming a hot spot for disc golfers from all over the state. The restrooms at the museum are super clean and the employees are knowledge and helpful with any travel inquiries. 5 stars

Calcorax Productions

Neat place to visit. Nice park and interesting landmark.

Kathryn Jabs

The attendees were very friendly, informative and there were so many things to look at from a timeline almost forgotten, thank you for keeping our history preserved so well.

Danielle Hansen

Had fun visiting this spot! The visitors center was closed when we drove through, but I appreciated that I still had free access to the monument. Grounds are clean and well kept.

George Nuhn

Great rest stop Friendly people and spotless

Bruce Gabrielson

Not much there. But interesting

Gary Ashmore

Go here just so you can say you have been here and get a pic of yourself standing center star. Nice little museum to.

Pamela Kerns

Loved stopping here! Very kid friendly and offered a cool learning craft about clouds. Kept the kids busy as we continued our journey. The volunteers were knowledgeable about the area and recommend a great place to eat.

Linda Goff

Rodeo trick rider and legendary Mattie Goff is there. It is fun to learn about your relatives and learn their past.

Heidi Leonard

Fun to get a picture with - the internet said that the Center was open 12-4 Sundays, but the building hours posted actually say closed Sunday & Monday. We did not call to confirm hours before driving over however. You can easily access the monument without going to into the Center, but it would have been nice to read a bit more about it. The weather was wet/rainy, otherwise we probably would have laid down to get the picture with the seal. Perfect quick stop for a cross-country road trip.

Kristen Rush

Terrific museum and gift shop - plan to spend some time here. It's worth the drive and your time. Nice grounds for a picnic, and even an old log cabin you can check out.

Stacy Hohmann

I love it.
