So I was driving to Crazy Horse, and I saw these helicopters on the side of the road. I thought, what a perfect way to see Crazy Horse! I went in and they saw me right away. Then I got escorted to my private helicopter. The prices are excellent! So, the ride was outstanding!! I was impressed. Got to see Crazy Horse close and personal. In addition the landscape was amazing. The tour guide was very informative and told me a lot about the history. Truly a remarkable place! I recommend anyone visiting South Dakota, go on the helicopter tour!

The Staff & Pilot at Black Hills Aerial Adventures were awesome! Very Friendly & Knowledgeable. We were curious & they answered all questions with ease and understanding. Being big girls we were nervous, they were 100% accommodating & very friendly! I would definitely recommend checking it out!

My husband and I took the Mt. Rushmore tour #5 ($175/ea) and found it to be a great ride. The pilot was informative, pointing out a buffalo (which we could not see), but did see Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the Black Hills, Needles Hwy and Sylvan Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and later in the car drove Needles Hwy around the Lake and viewed it on land. Beautiful country. We would recommend it very much.

We spent three days enjoying the incredible scenery of Badlands National Park - except for the annoying LOUD helicopter tours overhead, courtesy of Black Hills Aerial Adventures. Every hike, picnic, and wildlife viewing experience was interrupted by their helicopters; it was like hiking in a war zone. While I understand that helicopter trips can be fun for some, it's anything but fun for the people on the ground - destroying the feeling of wilderness and beauty. Thanks to this experience, I will never take a helicopter sightseeing trip. Oddly, when I first posted a review, the owner stated "In the three days that you were able to hike and explore, we were able to provide an experience to many elderly, infirm and/disabled people that may not have been able to see and do the things that you were able to do." But it's a FACT that Black Hills Aerial Adventures' helicopters are neither ADA COMPLIANT nor ACCESSIBLE. None of their reviews are from anyone who mentioned the issue accessibility. However, on the ground, many park trails meet ADA requirements. Like all USA National Parks, the facilities, bathrooms, exhibitions, are also all accessible.

A fantastic journey through the skies about and around the Crazy Horse monument. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff were great with answering in-flight questions my kids threw at them. Safety was a a high priority and every step of our trip was very carefully managed, which made me feel at ease taking my 6, 8, 11, and 12 year olds. Raving fans here.

Great experience on the cheap. $49 for the basic helicopter ride, upgrades available for longer fly time/ more sites. You should have 2 riders or you may have to ride with an additional single passenger. Decent space in helicopter cabin & staff was very friendly, even took several photos for us after the flight. We plan on another flight soon!

We did the Mount Rushmore / Keystone tour for four people. The flight is a ton of fun, but goes by very quickly. If you plan to take photo's on a sunny day, wear dark/black clothing to reduce reflective glare on the windows. This was a unique and great way to experience Mount Rushmore.

I drove an hour for my appt. to be told upon check-in there would be a surcharge of $75 tacked on to the fee. The surcharge because I was the only one on the flight. #1. There is nothing in the website indicating this. I checked again. #2. The company messaged me two reminders about appt. time. They could have easily notified me about a possible surcharge if no one else signed up. The site does not allow us to see how many have registered for a flight so there is no opportunity to choose a flight based on occupancy. The employee then tried to sell a cheaper flight that was on special! To be clear, I would not miss $75, it the principle of the thing. I don't do people this way and I don't associate with people that do. I walked out upset and disappointed as I was so looking forward to the experience. The response from my email to the business was that it would be "passed on to the manager".

Great view of the Blackhill. If anyone goes to South Dakota, you have to see the Black Hills. They are beautiful and you can drive all around them. Theres a lot of tourist attractions. When you go make sure you get a view of the Black Hills and not the tourist attractions.

An absolutely fantastic time, we stopped in on a whim and 10 minutes later we were airborne. Our pilot Bob was great at pointing out all the great aigts and finding us mountain goats an buffalo too. Needles from the back side is truly amazing, and crazyhorse from the air is far better than the ground. Seing the secret door behind Rushmore was a highlight, but my favorite is my beloved Harney Peak from the air.

Pilot was very professional and friendly and spoke about points of interest along the route. Flying in the old Bell 47 with the doors open especially fun! Fair warning, helicopters are expensive to fly in general and their prices reflect that. Also they charge a significant all or nothing fuel premium if you end up by yourself with the pilot.
