Amazing park with a panoramic view. Situated right on the tip, so you get way more than 180 degree view. Plenty of parking, though I imagine when the weather is nicer this place gets super packed. Also, driving down Ocean Drive to get here is also scenic, with great estates and ocean views.

Brenton point is a wonderful place to go and relax with the family. It also happens to get really great wind for kite flying. Home of the annual Newport Kite Festival in July. The grassy field works nice for tents and cook outs. Parking surrounds the park though can get busy at times. The panoramic view of the ocean is picturesque especially when boats are sailing by. The waves crash up on the rocks which are fun to explore. Many people go fishing too. Lots to do. (and it's free)

Beautiful, they were alot of Kites being flown when I went, be prepared for at least two very friendly Sea Gulls to automatically become your welcome ambassadors. From a comfortable circumference, we had a Mother & Child that wouldn't let any others approach our chilled-out area.

Enjoyed the Newport Kite Festival here. Breathtaking views of surrounding ocean. Lovely place to fly a kite, picnic or just sit on a bench and watch the waves! Dogs are allowed here too! Bring a canopy or beach umbrella for shade if you need it, otherwise it is full sun.

I love this park! We visit every time we come to Newport. The kites are beautiful -- definitely come to fly your own or see others do so. Great views of the water and neighboring islands. There is a bathroom facility to make sure that everyone is comfortable. Often lemon ice is for sale nearby. Ample parking and walking options too.

Was surprised to see a monument here dedicated to Portuguese explorers. As I am Portuguese it was a nice surprise. Anyway, the park offers beautiful views of the ocean. Bring a picnic or just stop to enjoy the view for a while. If the frozen lemonade truck is there be sure to get one.

Great views. Open fields. Kites of all types flying in the ocean breezes. In the summer you can buy kites and get a lemonade. Parking and rest rooms on site. Bring food. Climb on the rocks and enjoy a splash from an ocean wave. Not a place for a swim. But always beautiful.

I felt this one is a better place to enjoy the sea except that the beach is fully rocky and very nice place for viewing sunset over the ocean, plus it can be viewed sitting in the car itself. There are plenty of parking spots and a restroom nearby. There is small field where ppl fly kites, it's very breezy and can turn chilly (even until late May). The grass is littered with dog poop though so that was the only one down side.

We didn't stay here for long, really just made a quick stop during our Ocean Drive tour. That being said, it is a beautiful spot to sit and view the ocean for a while. You really are out on a point, so you can see the ocean on three sides which makes for great, relaxing views.

Brenton Point Park is located at the tip of the Ocean Drive surrounded by water on three sides. It has an amazing view of the sea and the coast of Newport. The park has picnic and BBQ accommodations and plenty of space for your little ones to run around. If you have some time to kill and want to spend a few hours outside this is a perfect place to visit with your family.

Another amazing state park in Rhode Island. This one is a particular favorite of my wife and I. Even in this cold weather it's such an enjoyable place to walk. Not only do you get a great view of the coastline, but also a great trail to walk on, and the tower to observe from. There's a ton of interesting history behind that building, and the remnants of another on the coastline, but my wife is more well versed in that than I am! Highly recommend going here and spending a morning or afternoon.

Love this park! The views are stunning. We held a large picnic here in August, and it was nice and cool being surrounded by the water. There are grills and picnic tables that are first come first serve. I recommend getting there early afternoon if you want to use them. Parking is limited, and it gets very crowded around 1pm in the summer.

Beautiful park! I would give it 5 stars had the bathrooms been open. We visited in the middle of the afternoon and stayed through nightfall, on a beautiful sunny day, but had to leave the park and find a gas station to find an open bathroom.

Beautiful park where there’s always a breeze and the ocean is a bit more wild. On a nice day you can watch people fly kites, and there’s always a lot of boating/sailing activity out on the water. There are bathrooms on site as well, although they are basic at best. A great place for picnics, boulder climbing, and general sightseeing!

This spot is a real gem in Newport, RI. Great views of the opening of Narragansett bay and a fantastic sunset location. Lots of space to walk and many picnic spots. There is a lot of free parking but, it does fill up in the summer on nice days.

Always love to come here every time we visit. Great views of the sunset, and plenty of parking. There is only two entrances for parking, and they are quite far apart. This is also a place where they have kite festivals and other events. You can also walk along the rocky shoreline to enjoy the waves crashing against the large boulders.

I love this place. I love bringing the kids here, there's always a lot of wind to fly the kites. The only problem is it's very far out of the way from any other establishment and the bathrooms aren't always open.
