REVIEWS OF Museum of the American Revolution IN Pennsylvania

Ellen Strohm

My first visit to the Museum was so inspiring. Ordinary people in extraordinary times - so many unexpected heroes! The storytelling woven through the exhibits was cohesive, kept me engaged, and wanting to know more. The video presentations were interspersed at the right points. A wonderful experience that won't quickly be forgotten.

Great museum for all the history lovers out there. I was a big fan of Washington's Spies, so this museum was great to go through after watching that show and reading the book. They even had Washington's real tent from all those years ago on display. Very cool to see. If you have time to check this place out, I strongly recommend it. There are lots of groups of school children during the week though, so if you want a quieter experience I recommend going on a weekend if at all possible.

Greg Bold

It was enlightening and we learned a lot of interesting facts about our history.

Ron Brooks

Awesome artifacts and history. Learned a few things on my visit

Darlene Eger

Beautiful venue to showcase our history. The flag exhibit was very impressive!

David Chamberchester

I didn't realize how much I DID NOT KNOW. Very interesting and informative. We went several hours over each of two days.

bryan kilmer

Great museum with tons of exhibits. It's a lot of refresher information if you're already well versed in the revolution but some of the artifacts are really neat. The greatest of all was Washington's war tent on display. It's cool to think that America's independence was planned out in that very tent.

Michael Perry

The museum is very interesting. I enjoyed myself here with all the exhibits. The tour guides are all very friendly and really show you around and teach you stuff you might never know otherwise. Pretty cool place to go if you are in the area. I would recommend the tours, if possible.

Bruce Santos

Well done museum that does a good job of exploring the perspectives of all sides involved (finally!). Just ensure that you start the 'tour' at the true start/display-entrance. Highly recommended

Lindsay Zolad Coughlan

Amazing visit very educational. Beautiful establishment so clean with intriguing exhibits and displaying

Shae Daniels

An eye opening experience for all to enjoy. Seeing it on Memorial Day added an extra bonus. The place was much more than the eye could see. Movies to layer in context to the exhibits added so much value. Awesome experience.

Nancy Dorais

This museum is visually well appointed, but the use of a hand held speakers was distracting. I was so disappointed by the subtle but ever present liberal bias of the text which promoted feeling ashamed of our nation, even questioning the legitimacy of the revolution itself. Yes, we are not and never have been perfect. Slavery, abuse, and racial discrimination are an abomination. However, America is a great nation which has provided more freedom, equality, and opportunity to its citizens and immigrants than almost any other nation or empire in history. We have sacrificed our blood to protect those values. We are the most generous people in the world, and we are the economic envy of many. People want to come here to live. They seldom want to leave. I am proud to be an American, I am not ashamed.

Victoria Kenyon

An excellent museum! One of my favorites in Philly. The interactive features in the galleries are great. Make sure to bring a jacket and be prepared to do some walking around!

Valerie Braun

Beautifully done. A lot of reading. For those who are really interested in the subject.

John Mulholland

It is a nice museum. A lot of great items about the history of the best country in the world.

ranchan215

A great place to visit and learn about our history I had a fun time took my pop he loved it the 57 bus dropped us off in front of the building. hours 10am to 5pm adults $21.00 seniors $18.00 kids $18.00 Acess Card $2.00 for low income residents like my grandparents also extended SummerTime hours 9:30am to 6PM daily

Enzo Knapp

Great museum, very modern and interactive. Very detailed history with lots of artifacts. The Washington's tent show is definitely worth seeing.

Igor Kaftanatiy

They are way to proud of their museum. Prices per person are high sorry if you trying to preserve history and teach young ones about it keep prices affordable. Our family of 5 would of had to pay close to $100 not many can afford it

Andrew Arenson

The war tent presentation made me feel, for a moment, that history was alive. The museum inspires one to actively continue the spirit of revolution, of continuing the American experiment, of making the world more fair and just.

Frank Sorbello

Fun and fanciful museum focused on the history and small details of the American Revolution. Something for everyone and the interactive elements were very well done.

John Turner

Very solid, moving experience and highly recommend for those looking to learn more about this important period of U.S. history. Excellent for ages 5-99. A lot of interactive, well presented historical material with multi-media "films" and real-life recreations to immerse visitors in the time, place and people of the revolution.

Schalon

Very interactive my toddler, my older child and my teenage niece all enjoyed it. They get to load a cannon. We had a blast. Very expensive to eat there. We ate before and after. There is an intro movie also. Great experience

Alistair Baldacchino

This was so interesting. It's very well structured with a chronological path along the years and the information given was great. Wish I had more time to take it all in.

Joe Meluskey

Great museum. Photographs at the end of exhibit were amazing.

Gordon Stavenjord

Awesome! The exhibits were designed and well thought out. Everything had a good flow. If you are in Philadelphia, don't miss this

Dennis Guckin

Well worth the trip and great presentation of this period in the history of America. All ages can appreciate the exhibits.

Michael Huff

Great way to learn about the revolution. Make sure you allow at least 2 hours, 3 would be better

Cheryl Finnie

This was an interesting and informative visit. Be sure to allow plenty of time to see it all.

Matt Dambrosio

This is one of the best museums we've ever visited. It's very interactive and really tells a great story, many aspects of which we'd never heard. Highly recommended.

Debra Covert-Bowlds

Well balanced narrative. I went away inspired by the revolution as one that continues, not just a time in history.

Parrish Bar School

I'm a history buff and my favorite is American history. This place was amazing. They tell you everything you need to know about the war with really cool displays and artifacts. My daughter is not really into this kind of stuff and she loved this place, her favorite place I'm D.C.

Colson Youngblood

The Museum of the American Revolution was very impressive and informational! I came while visiting Philly and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The details and history presented were fantastic, and the production was great. Solid museum to visit!

Maryanne Dolci

Great musuem showing how our nation got started and all the equipment they used to secure our future.

Margaret Ferguson

A wonderful complete look at the American ideals and principles that inspired a revolution of equality for all under one roof in a new modern building. Really enjoyed it.

Rene Studer-Halbach

This was a wonderful museum to spend an afternoon walking through. It's set up in a very interesting way, walking you through the timeline of the revolution. There are also a lot of videos and presentations that would make it very child-friendly.

Srinidhi Raghavendra

This museum is a great place to learn about the American revolution and history. When I visited there was a exhibit of American flags which was highly educative. I enjoyed learning about the history of the flag and how it has evolved over the centuries. But one thing in the museum left a bitter taste in me.... common and widespread references to Native Americans as Indians. I am quite disappointed with the historians, researchers, and other highly educated museum staff that continue to foment the historical mistake of Columbus. It is global knowledge that Columbus landed in America looking for India and referred to people here as Indians. That historical mistake continues to be told and retold across the US. Unfortunately the US government doesn't seem to care or doesn't want to acknowledge this mistake and correct. Everywhere I have traveled in this country I continue to see Native Americans being referred to as Indians. I wonder if the Native Americans are even aware of this mistake or if they are aware and just enjoying piggybacking on the Indian ethnic identity. I am not sure.

irene e.

A good tourist museum. Not very detailed. Beautiful facility. Walking distance from Betsy Ross House, Ben Franklin Museum and great Philly cheesesteak!!

Zubin Gu

This was one of the greatest Revolution museums that I have gone to. It's relatively new, so it building is in very good condition. It has many galleries where you can see war relics, as well as short movies/shows that you can watch. In addition, there are many interactive stations that you can play around with. Our tour guide was very nice and well informed about the war. Would definitely recommend you visit here if you like the American Revolution.

Brian Wynne

This is an excellent, modern museum that covers many facets of the American Revolution. Starting with a broad overview of America at the time it covers the big picture but also tells so many amazing individual stories. The exhibits are filled with hands on examples, audio, video and activities, and the staff are there to bring exhibits to life with their knowledge. I was very impressed and recommend this for any visitor to Philadelphia. we spent 3 hrs here and kids never asked to leave once which I take as a success!!

Debbie Bardsley

As UK visitors to Philadelphia we had this museum recommended to us by a local sat on a table next to us in Reading Terminal as the one place not to miss. So we went and boy were we not disappointed. This museum is the best one we have ever been to. We spent 4 and a half hours learning all about the history that we should know about in the UK as it is part of our history too. Would definitely recommend this museum for a visit. Our group ages ranged from 11 to 44 and we all enjoyed it.

Adam Archie

Great exhibits and videos. Well staffed and maintained museum. It was so clean, my 3yo didn't see the glass and banged her head on it! While most exhibits were not very child friendly, they had a few kid activities which my kids enjoyed including a ship they could board and clothes from the era to try on.

Betty OConnor

If you love history this is an excellent way to begin a visit to historic Philadelphia. The copy of the Declaration of Independence is inspired.

Rob Pflug

My kid wanted to come because she's currently going through a Hamilton phase, but I was super impressed. Would definitely recommend visiting whether your a local like us, or visiting our beautiful city!!

Ethan Quirin

This place is amazing! There is so much to absorb and learn. The displays are unique and different from most standard history museum. Plus it is much more engaging than a typical museum. One really excellent feature is the continued use of short movies and video displays interspersed throughout. It gives the perfect break to the sameness of standard historical displays and the little theaters offer good resting points where you are entertained as well.

Usha Thomas

Amazing to go through the struggle n determination of American leaders to get independence under General George Washington. I enjoyed the story telling at the entrance. Must visit

Konstantinos Rizakos

What an excellent experience! Witness the story of the American Revolution told in a very intuitive way, looking at the why, what, and how. It is a very meticulously curated museum, with many interactive exhibits and easy to follow videos and materials. Make sure you visit the ship on the second level, and you attend the exhibit with Washington’s tent!

Erin May

Very well done. Friendly staff and informative, interactive exhibits!

Tyler Sobers

Very well done and put together. Can spend hours and still feel like things were missed. Was interactive enough to keep anyone engaged.

Patty D

I love this place. Plan to take your time; there's a lot to see.

Drv gwu

Great tour guide. There is a lot of history captured that you don't get in school. Well worth the admission fee.

Jerry Gomez

I love American history and this museum was pretty cool. Very interactive. It's funny because you can see that much has changed in the sense that we are still fighting amongst each other. But we can always come together as Americans as well. Nevertheless, it's a great place to learn about this period in American history.

Edward Rogge

Wonderful learning experience! It's a treasure! Dont miss it if you're in Philadelphia

Aure

Great experience. It was very interesting and we'll presented. The expressions on the mannequins' faces in the scenes looks real. We really loves the show with Washington's tent. That was EPIC!

Harriet M

A very well done museum. Lots to read and learn about, while being compact. Very new and modern with good facilities. All of that said it is on the pricy side - booked ahead and was $21 per person.

Valerie Nelsen

Went here on the request of my 10 yr old daughter. My family enjoyed learning some of our history

Victoria J

Absolutely brilliant museum. Had a fantastic day there! It's very informative but also interactive - there's things they encourage you to smell and touch so would be a good place for kids as well. While I was there there were multiple groups of school children, showing how accessible it is. The museum itself takes you through the story of the revolution very thoroughly and also provides an immersive experience, with different cinematic experiences throughout. Also recommend the tableau talks at 2:30 - they're very interesting!

Henry Limowski

We went in briefly but did not have time for a tour. I'm sure it's worth seeing. Must come back some other time.

Mike Smith

Great job for a Philadelphia museum. Everyone should go. Well done.

Adam G.

The Museum of the American Revolution is a Philadelphia museum dedicated to telling the story of the American Revolution. The museum was opened to the public on April 19, 2017, the anniversary of the first battle of the war, Lexington and Concord, on April 19, 1775. I didn't have a chance to tour, but would have loved to. I was completely hungover and hot as hell. The gift shop is very nice.

adrienne Morrell

This may be a good museum however their practice of having very loud docents leading groups of students through the museum prohibits other paying patrons from being able to hear anything! I'm a teacher myself and I've never had docents that literally yelled loudly for no reason as the three that surrounded us were doing with their groups. It was crazy to pay $21 and be surrounded the entire time by kids and adults yelling across the rooms, interrupting the films coming in and out loudly talking. Can't recommend this museum at all.

Mark Skinner

Great museum. Worth the admission. The flag exhibit was fantastic.

Dee wal

This place is awesome! Plenty of room. The welcome desk is welcoming. Parking is horrible. Pack patience.

Alexandrea Kensinger

Great museum. We went while there were a lot of school groups so it was a bit crowded and we tried to rush through it. Definitely would have been better if we went at a different time.

Christina Stetler

Wonderful museum with video, interactives, and great exhibits. Recommend the intro video and Washington's War Tent. There's a lot to see and do, so be prepared.

Tim Trucksess

For July 4th events in Historic Philadelphia, this Museum was giving free admission by timed tickets either in advance or in person. Good way to see it. Everything was first class from exhibits to professionalism of staff. Plenty of benches if tired both outside and in central lobby areas. Interspersed between exhibits , were small sit down theaters. Museum store is large for size of Museum but didn't get to see cafe area as it had just closed.

Ms. Anderson

This new Museum had a wonderful temporary exhibit of the early 13 star flags as well as a great exhibit of the timeline of the Revolutionary War. on busy days you will need a ticket and a time to visit the upstairs exhibits. The cafe downstairs sells good coffee and sweet treats while you wait or as a nice end of your visit.

Kev C

This is an excellent museum. If you are interested in learning about the American Revolution, then this is a must see attraction in Philadelphia. There were many beautiful exhibits and displays and short films to keep you interested for a few hours. If you enjoy going at your own pace, which I recommend, then do not do the guided tour. Make sure you visit all the displays and shows and you will not be disappointed. After you are done with the museum there are many other historical attractions and restaurants nearby within walking distance.

Alex Woodruff

Much bigger than I thought it would be. Very well detailed, informative and thought out. Truly puts Americas beginnings in perspective and will enrich your soul. They also have an exhibit showcasing George Washingtons tent that he used throughout the war (often cited as the "1st Oval Office". Very interesting and very well done in its presentation. Highly recommend.

Christina Hornyak

So they are housing George Washington's war tent and it is AWESOME. This is an absolutely epic museum. I would visit it again and again. They give you a two day pass - and I'm glad they do because if are really into it, one day is not enough to finish this. There is a lot of reading but it is worth it. I would have given 5 stars, however I think they need to regulate school field trips a little better. It was EXTREMELY distracting with a lot of the class groups passing through. The younger groups were very loud and running around which made it so hard to concentrate on any reading throughout the museum. It seems to die down after 1pm with field trips. Although I believe it's a great and very important thing for kids to start learning about, I wouldn't really recommend this for young kids. There's a lot to see and as I said before, read. Not the most stimulating for the youngsters and I'm not sure they are getting much out of it. Maybe with class trips the museum could enforce a little more quiet in order to respect the museum and other patrons. Other than that...this is a MUST SEE!

Andrew Green

This museum is one of the best I have been to in years. It was strongly recommended by some of my friends who are local historians and professors to me and it did not disappoint! The combination of various informative and teaching techniques such as interactive exhibits and written materials and videos made it fun and interesting to people of all ages and degrees of knowledge about the American Revolution.

T K

Great museum experience, everything writ large and the history is augmented by a variety of media and display techniques. The grandeur is not augmented with details, as usual the Battle of Rhode Island and the British occupation of Newport are not mentioned. You'll get the big picture for sure, and, if you already know the full story, you'll have a sense for what's missing. Allow 2-3 hours, more if you catch every movie and special exhibit. Kid learning engagement will happen.

Gregory Redick

While not a National Park Service facility, it does well to rise to that standard. Very well done and worth the time.

Seth Porta

Great balance of interactive displays and traditional museum exhibits.

George Shatzer

Fantastic museum! So much to experience and learn. Was really impressed with the depth of detail in the exhibits and displays. Washington tent is a must see. Admission is a bit pricey but worth it if you take plenty of time. Tickets good for two days.

Kyle Murphy

The museum you could easily get lost in the history of it. The amount of work shows.. they have wax figures and relics from history such as swords and uniforms and house hold things that everyone can admire

Cakes Inperry

Better than expected, perhaps the highlight of our Philly two day tour. I actually thought it was better than the Constitution Center. What a collection of artifacts. This stuff is old and rare, and then they have preserved General Washington’s tent (spoiler alert!) Kids will love this place. Since David McCullough’s “John Adams” and “1776”, and with the recent “Hamilton craze, boy was this needed to fill the gap in our historical knowledge about the birth of America. A must see when in Philly! Thing are in chronological order. To make them easier to follow. Tip : Use the phone parking app- Best parking and park over at the nearby Wydham Hotel’s parking garage for a convenient and cheaper option to parkMore

R R

Leave yourself a lot of time to visit. This museum has a lot of things to read and experience. Very interesting.

Dawn Morris-Bicht

Excellent museum, So much information on the Revolution that I never heard of before. Washington's tent is extroidnary. A must place to see for history buffs or anyone who wants to learn about the roots of our country.

SinisterDvrk RBLX

Very cool place! I learned lots of new stuff but also had lots of fun at the same time! Made for a great addition to my vacation!

Cylinda Whitted

I brought my 10 year old son here for some mommy and me time since he was studying this in school this year. For the 2 of us it was $39 including one audio tour. I gave the device to him and he went around the entire floor listening to …

Richard Reese Jr

This museum is great. Lots of detail and information. Also plenty of hands on opportunities for the kids.

Jennifer Holt

Love love love this Museum. Such a great representation of our American history. The Washington’s tent show gave me chills. Building is beautiful inside and out. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will visit again.

Gabi Soileau

Really informative, great location, super interesting. But holy butts, it's cold in there. I dressed for the hot July weather and got goosebumps in the museum. Had to take breaks to sit outside haha.

Sergio Javier Vega Molina

Great Museum. I loved the history it provides. Definitely a must see. Only thing is that I thought it would have one more level, but that just me being ambicious.

mark santana

Outstanding museum! I love American History and this wonderfully done. I look forward to the next visit.

James Ingram

Over 400 original items. Amazing organization and display. Encouraging helpful people.

Jody Lurie

I enjoy going here, though it is difficult to get a lot out of it with toddlers in tow. The childrens section is super nice now and George Washington's tent is a site to see

N P0611

So much here to see and do. Great for families. Fantastic gift shop.

Ed Gabb

Lots of info. Reserve the better part of a day for this place. Excellent exhibits. Well maintained.

Jewlr_99

Great museum! Very detailed exhibits that explained the American Revoloution in a simple way. Also had intreactive movies every hour.

Fran Heller

The exhibits were beautifully created, using facts from letters, books and official documents. Seeing the actual tent President Washington used was amazing. Highly recommend visiting.

mcanard

As a historian, I was very impressed with this museum. I was especially struck by the inclusion of material from the last several generations of historians of early America and the early national period. The influence of historians such as Gary Nash is pretty obvious, with the prominent (and not merely token) exhibits on the roles of women, African Americans, and Native Americans. Recent scholarship often has a hard road getting into museums, and there seems to be an unfortunate inverse relationship between the amount of money spent on a museum and the inclusion of current historiography; that doesn't seem to be the case here. I would like to have seen a more sophisticated treatment of the origins of the revolution (going back farther in time than just 1763), the treatment of the war's events after 1777 was given short shrift, and it would have been nice to see more on the domestic and international aftermath of the revolution. Some of these, though, could be dealt with in future temporary exhibits. All in all, this is a very well-done museum and definitely worth a visit.

Raven Bird

A very bias liberal interpretation of "History!" I have a dozen relatives that served in the American Revolution. One was a Chaplain to General Washington and died in served to his country. I served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and my Daughter served in the Marine Corps. While the fringe element were important to the American Revolution, so we're the regular Soldiers like my Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather that was a Captain in New Jersey Militia and was in the Battle of Princeton and Monmouth.

Krista Nolan

Very informative! Went on a school trip and our guide was phenomenal! I cant remember her name, but she really made it memorable!

Lisa Perkins

This museum has so many interesting and great displays. Videos throughout are definitely worth the watch. Plan on 3-4 hours to enjoy it all.

Jeff Hagadorn

Excellent history of Revolutionary War. Several 10-15 minute videos in comfortable viewing rooms, interactive screens with personal and timeline histories.

Barry Segal

I am a veteran & a bit of a history buff. I loved the way everything was presented. I can't wait for new exhibits to open

Evan Carr

Loved it. You can go in and out all day after you buy tickets. I need to go back because I didnt get a chance to see everything.

Marniece Lepore

Outstanding Don't miss. Make it a day

Jillian Cross

This place is worth the price of admission. The George Washington Tent movie/experience was unforgettable.

Joel Schwaber

Pretty uninteresting. The exhibits lack detail and depth. While I could understand not wanting to re-tread on what Independence Hall touches on with a continental congress, it still could have gone further into depth at any particular …

Liyah Desher

While this place has some cool exhibits, it is absolutely not worth the steep ($21) price of admission. Ever since they get rid of their education staff the daily programming has been pretty sub-par. Such a shame, as this place had really great potential.

James Scharnott

It's wonderful to see a place detailing how everyday folks of all races and creeds fought in the Revolutionary War, and how hard it was on them. The artifacts...especially George Washington's own field tent!...are awe-inspiring. Plan to spend the day having your perceptions changed.

Eric Gentzel

Really great museum with a sequential setup for the aspects of the revolution. Certainly recommend for anyone interested in or looking to learn more about this important time in the creation of our country.

Jess K

Very nice museum. Interesting information. Very hands on. Good films. Cute kids area in basement.

Spencer Arias

Second favorite stop of the East coast. The presentation on Washington's Tent was Amazing. One of the coolest things we saw in Philly. Couldn't take any pix inside but well worth the trip.

Steven Dycus

Without question the one place to visit during your stay in Philadelphia if you could only pick one — I know — sac religious to place above Independence Hall or the Liberty Bell — but trust me — you will not be disappointed. Excellent quality exhibits. World class presentations. Plan on spending twice as much time as you originally plan — plenty of sections in the various galleries to keep you busy reading, reflecting and absorbing it all. State of the art high quality wax figures depicting different lifelike historic scenes and moments from history. The use of high quality multi-media helps move the story along. I left the final gallery wanting to head straight to a bookstore to load up on the scores of stories from this rich period of history — which you can easily do in the upscale classy gift shoppe on the main floor — not over the top touristy — I would go back a second and third time like a good movie to see what I missed!

jillanne bagnell

I have been waiting to visit this museum and it definitely was worth the wait. Great exhibits, the audio was worth the extra $5.00. My only question is why was there nothing about Betsy Ross and the first flag? She was an important part of our history especially to Philadelphia. That was a little disappointing.

Heidi Westrop

Life changing, beautiful place. Everyone should go. Don't miss the movie about George Washington's Tent. It is remarkable!

Gail Becker

This was an informative and we'll laid out museum in the modern way museums are done as it guides the visitor through the history of the American Revolution. Interesting artifacts and lots of audio visuals. Subtracting one star for the distracting and loud guides that were leading other groups through.

Kathy Burns

Great place for families and adults because it appeals across all age ranges. Your Ticket is good for 2 days because its hard to take it all in in one day. The variety of displays and movies kept my interest and at 69 years old I found there was a lot I wasn't taught about American history. Definitely recommend it for everyone Got to sit in a replica of chair at the Continental Congress.

Jeff Saunders

Wow! This place blew me away. Every aspect of this museum is state of the art, interesting and brought the Revolutionary War to life. I would go to this museum over and over again. Do not skip this place!

Dwight Hood

Knowledge staff. Wonderful exhibits

D Bennett

Loved it, explores further details of that time you never learned.

Cassandra Yeh

This city is full of history. So many museums here. You can spend hours and hours visiting different museums. This museum is well maintained and very informative. If you like learning about history, definitely can't miss this museum.

Quenton Ellis

Great place. Helpful and fun guides. Cool wax figures. Highly recommended.

David O'Sullivan

A wonderful museum. The Hamilton exhibit was informative, thoughtful , and well organized. So much information to take in. Great exhibits. The staff is helpful. Allow enough time to really take things in

Ann Michalski

A true Americana experience! Great spot for history buffs! Close to many historical sites in Philly. Beautiful new museum!

Brad Paradis

Let me be clear. It’s a great stop. It has a ton of amazing things to see and experience. I did enjoy the National Constitution center more, but you can combine both at a discount and purchase a dual ticket for each. Do it.

Pradipta Ranjan Paul

Good place to know the history of american independence. You can spend some but not that good. It can be better. 2hrs are enough to visit the whole place.

Carol Beers

A lot of reading in darkened rooms with small print. Very difficult and we missed out on things. Was disappointed. Wonderful artifacts though.

Taylor Albert

so much fun and you can learn so much here! George Washington’s War Tent sent chills through my body an absolute must see. if you love history you will love this museum!

Sarah Schmid

I took the family to the Museum of the American Revolution for the first time in June. We went specifically to view the collection of 13-starred American flags. The exhibit itself was great, but I enjoyed the remainder of the Museum even more! The final portion of the exhibit is really touching and well put together. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop at the end! They have some great collectibles and books to purchase.

Shawn Selch

Very nice museum showing the history of the American revolution.Lots of nice artifacts. Washington's tent is a must see. You can get through the museum in 2 hours but give your self more time.

carol lee

Very detailed exhibit with many interesting and important artifacts (including George Washington's actual tent) and history illustrated from different points of view of all involved and affected. Very well organized. Multimedia. Excellent for all ages.

Barbera Wilson

Was really looking forward to seeing this museum but, was disappointed in the lack of exhibits. The best part was seeing the George Washington's tent which was a wonderful presentation! The cafe offered super good food!

Rimantas Stirbys

My wife and I loved the flag exhibit and the presentation on Washington's tent. We had never been to the museum before and were blown away by the depth of information, the way it was pitched to all ages, and the fact it kept going on and on. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many of the exhibits were so interactive.

David Conway

Very good presentation. I am a revolutionary war buff. I learned a lot that I did not know.

Becky Hovey

We learned so much about the American revolution. We learn things that are not taught in textbooks.

Dennis Gormley

A magical place, truly showing the Revolutionary experience in the Cradle of American Liberty!

Leandro Torres

It was a incredible experience would not go with smaller kids but it was veryyy fun. Worth the money for the audio tour!

Reynaldo Rosas

Great museum. Great effort in portraying a very complex event with accuracy and accessibility

Tomkin Lee

I believe this is a relative new museum in the area loaded with significant historic buildings and museums. The collection of displays were very informative and educational. I would recommend this a 'must visit' when in the area. The exhibits provides a greater insight in the times and events of the American revolutionary period.

Anthony Galzarano

The items are old, but the museum itself is new and very well done. Tells the story of the Revolution in a simple, straightforward way. Having read many books about it, I found the narrative a bit limited and basic, but still worth the trip. In fact, what makes the price of admission a bargain at $21 per person is General Washington's war tent. Inside a good sized auditorium you watch a short inspiring film of this greatest of all Americans, who his former enemy King George III called: "the most distinguished of any man living" and "greatest character of the age." The screen slowly lifts and reveals the tent. I found it tasteful, reverent, and very moving. Give yourself at least three hours.

CJ Quinn

Great museum, but next time we won't bring the kids. You need time to really enjoy it.

Vonnie Armstrong

Such a wonderful museum! We are definitely coming again. And bringing friends

Rachel Riley

A really nice museum. State of the art displays. Original artifacts. Rely enjoyed my time there. Highly recommended!

Michael Gardane

Awesome museum. Weather you are 5 or 105, you will learn something new. Adult ticket is $21.00 which I believe is good for two days. Many interactive experiences. The staff are a pure pleasure as well. Knowledgeable and helpful. I went there and want to go back again and again. Alot yourself about 3 hours to tour the entire museum. 5 stars all the way.
