Beautiful waterfall. Not public access to the bottom view of the waterfall, I went at my own risk, I was very cautious. If you visit, just be very careful. Enjoy!

Antonio Cedeno

It's awesome place, but I heard some stories about people got hurt or dead trying to climb where not suppose to climb

Debbie Nilsson

This was our favorite waterfall on the waterfall loop from Roseburg back to diamond Lake.

Zach Doty

Easily accessible, beautiful and short hike. Viewing platform is pretty far away from the falls though.

Alicia Mariah Elfving

Short, easy hike to some beautiful falls! And awesome fishing spots all around. The camp sites here are pretty awesome.

Julie Sandum

this place was amazing! In the Umpqua Forest on your way to umpqua hot springs this is a definite stop for the list. Large parking area where i slept overnight because i arrived about 3 am. It was a beautiful morning and it was early when i hit the trail..its an easy hike with plenty to see on the way to the main attraction TOKATEE FALLS. when a spectacular display of nature!!! I recommend this waterfall to EVERYONE

Kamalika Roy

Nice short hike

Gweneth Tambe

Short easy hike. Not as stunning as before. I believe the water was much lower than last time.

Daniel Iglhaut

Been there in mid of March and loved the Waterfalls. The melting snow made it somewhat slippery on the stairs but not a big deal for hiking boots. The Waterfall itself is gorgeous and if you look closely you will find two more little waterfalls before the big one!

Charles Kneeland

Don't walk out near the edge and stay on the trail. Take it from a river drowning survivor, yes the viewing platform isn't in the best location but staying on the trail will keep you alive.

Greg Fowler

Nice hike with great views on a nice path

Brianna O'Steen

Toketee Falls is an easy 0.8 mile hike out and back. There are about 100 stairs to climb. You view the falls from a wooden platform. Absolutely incredible!

that's classified information

Really disappointed there was no trail to the base. However, there is an unauthorized trail to the right of the stairs as you're at the view point that goes down to the water.

swetha b

Easy pathway to reach the falls. Easy hike. Cannot get closer to the falls, but just the viewpoint.

Benjamin Kuehn

Really cool falls. There's a nice little hike to the view point everyone can get to and there's a rock wall people climb down to swim in the pool near the falls. There's also a fun Boulder about 20'tall you can rock climb and dive practically into the falls.

Christie Salazar

Very nice scenery very easy hike take kids

Jered Adams

This place is stunning! A beautiful hike that takes you to a observatory/lookout that over looks the falls. Risk takers scale down to the falls themselves for a better view and a cold dip in the water. Worth checking out!

Michael Rowe

Really nice place to relax. I try to make a stop here a few times a year.

Megan H

Absolutely breathtaking! There is a really shady trail with a rope (beware, it is a sheer cliff with small handholds and the rope to hold onto) that lead down to the water. I definitely recommend any fit and coordinated individuals who want a better photo or view to go down.

Good Day Farm

Awesome walk with nature! Well maintained trail, some stairs, but not too steep. Plenty of places to rest if needed. You follow the river through the forest. The end of the trail is an amazing observation deck with a fantastic view of the falls. This is a must see if you’re in the area!

Nicholas Schewlakow

Beautiful waterfall. Short hike.

Logan S

This is my favorite waterfall in the world of the hundreds I’ve seen. Very quiet and serene the times I’ve been there. The hike to it is relatively easy and runs along the wonderful river that leads to the falls. However, there’s no safe path to the base of the falls. So the view is from the tree tops far away from the drop off. Unskilled folks should definitely remain at this point and not try to scale down.

Shawntelle Marie

Love this waterfall, one of Oregon's best. The hike is about a mile, maybe a mile and a half, not difficult at all and has several beautiful places to stop and enjoy the river. A lot of the trail is wooden with steps and the main viewpoint is beautiful but you can hike down to the bottom, though it tells you not too, it's a must if your there. There's a rope to help you down and it's beautiful :)

Jacob Prince

A short, rustic trail through the beautiful rainforest leads to the spectacular falls. Columnar basalt make for striking rock formations for the falls, and the water colour was striking and unique. Trail is natural, which is nice to see—so visitora should be sure-footed. The vantage point is ideally positioned in a neat treehouse-like lookout. Worth the stop!

Parul Narain

One of the top 3 waterfalls on highway 38. A short hike to gorgeous vistas

Patti V.

This place was breathtaking! The hiking trail was made easy with adequate stepping in place for much of the uneven hillside. A great activity for young and old, making it a great family adventure.

Mrs Mardis

This is a stunning waterfall. It was a short hike (about 1/2 mile one way). We went early and there was not a large crowd. I was perfectly content taking photos from the platform.

Lita Zimmer

I expected a little more

CindyLou A

Well worth the trip. Lovely short hike in with gorgeous scenery. Waterfall is spectacular!!

Miss Adorkable

Beautiful waterfall, but unsatisfying view. It's viewed from pretty far away perched in the air. If you want to be close or look up at it you're out of luck. Quite a few stairs to climb for those who are interested in that kind of info.

Hilda Garfer

All around medium size beautifu waterfall. Volcanic rock surrounds the water fall and around lagun right above the fall. Pine trees all around the trail. The trai about a mile ling and part of it has wooden stepts. This is where the teail trail narrows. that part exhausted my pore upper back lages. (And if it wasn't becomes I from another state, I would of rested the next day instead of going for another waterfall trip). At the end of the rail it widens out into a loop balcony. Literally, there is a pine tree in the middle of the balcony. The water lookes Turquoise do to the redlection of the green trees and blue sky. Most people would stop here at the balcony , but few people clime down very carefully to touch the water that is running down the river. I would not recommend you to do this unless your an experienced rock climber. So Not being able to stand inches away from the fall is the bummer and there for I would give this 4.5 stars out of 5. By the parking lot you will see a giant size outer wooden water pipe. This pipe takes water to the other side of the town. For for thoe Historic fans, I was told it was made after Word War 2. The pipe jas some leeks, so take advantage and refresh your self after the sike.

Joe McDonald

Well, this was more of trek than the other falls in the area. I'm glad it wasn't too hot out. Don't get me wrong, it's not difficult just longer trek than the others. The trail is nice and maintained. Handrails are in a few spots to keep you out of trouble. There are some sharp climbs and decents but it is manageable on foot. Just don't bring a stroller. We ended up on a wooden platform high in the trees looking directly at the Waterfall. We were a far from it but close enough for the trip to be worthwhile. Some fools were climbing off the wooden platform to go to the river. Not worth dying to get that close.

Sandy Renfrow

Nice short hike to this spectacular Falls. Some stairs and a nice path.

Stacy420 Love & Light

If I could give 100 stars I would. This place is so beautiful, easy hiking for someone with small children and so many things to see your eyes can't stop moving! Loved it

Ross Steensland

Very beautiful falls and very well made trail. It is very neat meeting people from all over the nation who came to see the falls as well

Joleen Schuessler

You walk a big hike, to a platform that you can't see the fall that well from. It is very disappointing.

jarrad crafton

Greatest place in the world......really close anyways

Carl Alexander

Easy access and just a beautiful example of our gorgeous state of Oregon!!!

Andrew Z

Beautiful waterfall. Been trying to take my gf here for the longest time, just sucks we are 10 hours away

P Burns

Very beautiful! Short hike but lots of steps. The number of steps up is more coming back versus going out.

Terri Holbrook

Beautiful short hike thorough moss covered forest. Trail is a good combination of nature and man made railing and steps for an easier hike. Well worth the short stop.

Troy Molde

Beautiful place. Moderate hike to the falls. Highly recommended

Aditya Nahar

One of the best waterfalls of Oregon. Definitely worth the 4 hours drive from Portland. The hike to the waterfall viewpoint is very easy. Once you reach the viewpoint, going down to the falls is challenging. You need to go down through the small opening of fence and the hike down is a tough one. One you get down there, you will definitely find the hike was worth it. You can swim and relax. I literally gave up on the hike from the viewpoint, until I saw a few small kids doing that along with their parents. Don’t give up, it’s worth it.

kathy byerly

Its beautiful

Bethany Forsyth

Breathtaking view, but I was sad to discover that we couldn't get down to the water (we had our toddler with us) because the trail down after the viewpoint was sheer cliff. If you just want to look this is perfect.

Fire Ax

Nice little hike, Beautiful falls.

Claudie Harris

Very lovely falls. And the trail to get there is so pleasant! I enjoyed the trail (with various beautiful views of the river) as much as the falls! (there are stairs, otherwise it's easy). Worth a stop, for sure!!

Lily Remennik

The line to get in was for couple of hours. Had to turn around.

Joan Nason

Very cool

patrick rudolf

Easy hike to the falls. Wooden steps and railings on the trail. Lookout for a great view of the falls.

Jared Stasch

Awesome forested trail that follows the river and leads out to a platform overlooking the falls. Also there is a really cool water pipe made out of redwood next to the parking lot that is very interesting.

Randy Collins

Short 1/2 mile hike to a beautiful falls. Perfect place to take a break from driving.

vijesh Ravi

Toketee falls is a very short hike, 95 stair steps up and 127 steps down to reach the falls. Before the actual falls, there is small whirlpool, which they called it as "Heart pool" and it is completely worth to hike down to take some real good photos. Also, from the deck, there is a moderate-difficult hike path to get down to the bottom of the falls and once you are down, the entire falls will be yours, as most people will not do that.

Bobby Fisher

Pretty awesome, you have to climb off the trail down some steep terrain to get to the base of the waterfall. Most people hop the fence at the viewpoint.

Karen Saunders

Fantastic waterfalls and just hearing the roaring sound of the water on the walk to the falls was magnificent. It might be a short walk but there are lots of stairs to climb. There are spots along the way to take a break if need be. These trails seem rather narrow, especially if you’ve got young ones on tote, but maybe it’s just me. Great place, sights are wonderful.

Julia Myers

One of the most beautiful places. Fun trails, swimming holes, easy access camping... and I saw it being patrolled which I liked.

Justin Brooke

Definitely one of the best managed/cared for trails I've ever hiked. But without it being so managed that you don't feel adventurous. You still feel like you are out in the wild but occasionally there are steps formed or a safety rail. Easy for beginner hikers, but much to hard for anyone who has trouble going up a flight or two of stairs. Really great sit down area at the end to watch the falls while resting for your hike back. Oh and there is a bathroom, but it's one of those pit bathrooms sooo maybe stop somewhere first.

Big RBTrout

I never get tired of seeing this......along with many other waterfalls. Umpqua National Forest is home to more than 24 waterfalls. 2 other notable places to visit close by - Crater Lake and the Rogue River Gorge.

Jill Harwell

We spent Labor Day weekend visiting the falls & we enjoyed it so much we are planning another trip next year!

Jill Jones

Dangerous, trail was washed out by floods, but hey, that's what flooding does, right? Otherwise, beautiful and wet.

Cesar Luis Valdez

Worth going to. The view is a beauty

Mandi Taylor

Didn't have time for the hike but there is a small trail off the hwy that you can see the basalt columns and gorgeous water, trees block the water fall. Another of the Lords great creations,

Jacob Wheeler

Short hike in, beautiful setting and very well maintained.

Kieley Senior

Clearly marked trail with railings along most of the route. It's 0.8 miles to the viewpoint. The view is incredible! A must see if you're in the area. You will also get the unusual opportunity to see a wooden pipeline at the trailhead.

Ben Smith

Lots of up and down on the hike, but there are plenty of rest spots and the short hike was worth it.

Steve Ennis

Wonderful and relatively short hike. Lots of steps at the end, but that is the only place to see these amazing falls.

Damian Guerrero

Pretty good beginner hike. Lots of stairs but the waterfall was worth it!

Jerry Garcia

Gorgeous! Definitely recommend this!

Edward Matthews

Awesome but dangerous. Don't go off the trail, way too dangerous there.

Marina V

Pure magic. A lovely hike through old growth forest and your reward at the end is a breathtaking waterfall. Worth every step.

S. Ryan

Wonderful falls with great blue water. Very easy hike too.

Justin Stout

Steep hike! But so beautiful. I absolutely love the area. But if you're looking for a long hike, this isn't it!

Cordell Hunter

Another one of Oregon's epic waterfalls! Conveniently located close to the Umpqua river hotsprings for an adventure double header. The hike here is just as good as the falls itself, just be sure to pack out your trash, and pick up any you see. The place is highly trafficked now, and if we don't take care of it, it'll turn into a dump. There used to be a rope to get down to the base of the falls, but when I was there last, rangers were removing it and closing the path. Please observe all marked rules.

Anna DeHoog

Dogs loved it but about killed me. :)

James Goetz

Wow oh wow! Easy hike with a clear trail will lead you to these magnificent falls. When you get to the final platform there might be a hole in the fencing. If you are athletic or have some basic climbing skills it is easy to climb down and get a view of the falls from the bottom. Seriously a jaw dropping experience!

Colin Fahey

A short, easy hike (with stairs if that changes anything) leads to a lovely overlook of the falls. Very picturesque. For the very adventurous there are some ways down to the falls itself, it seems, but we didn't have a chance to do that. If you want a quick and easy photo op this one is hard to pass up!

Melissa Morton

I got engaged here! Absolutely breathtaking view and a unique waterfall.. ♥️

Mischa Kriens

Cute waterfall that you access using a short hiking trail. It’s not too far to get to the viewing platform but unfortunately it’s not at the greatest angle so you can only see the waterfall from the side and not get a picture from right in front of it. Park is free and there’s restrooms and picknick tables at the parking lot at the start of the trail

Antonio Martinez

Great and easy hike.

Bill Joyce

The parking area for the falls is next to an old water pipe that leaks, so you or your vehicle might get wet.. The trail to the falls goes over a ridge with stairs and is reasonably wide. The falls itself is nicely framed from the viewing area. While we were there search and rescue was looking for the remains of someone who fell off the side trying to get a better view a month earlier. Be careful and stay on the trail. It was work the hike.

Ron Sterk

Toketee Falls was one of our favorite places my wife and I visited during our vacation in Oregon. The hike to the falls was fairly easy and the trail was very well maintained and easy to follow. Don't miss the heart shaped pool along the way. The viewing platform has a hole in the fencing where you can use the ropes to climb down and get a better view of the falls and take a swim. Highly reccomended!

Little Joe Fontana

Nice hiking area

Kelsi Coffman

Trail is short and very easy. The falls are breath taking. I only wish you could get closer! So worth the short walk to the view point.

varma penumetcha

A short hike with only "hard" part being going through a flight of stairs. You cannot take a stroller through this hike. The view is great and definitely worth the hike.

UrMiiLifeNow

Beautiful waterfall. Short trek but not difficult at all. (FYI be prepared for stairs)

Patricia Jan

Easy to moderate trail. Bring water. Stairs and walk way very well kept. Beautiful experience!

Roy L Robertson

Stunning falls, definitely one of the best on 138 and also in southern Oregon.

Steve Schmorleitz

A 15 minute hike, with plenty of up and down stairs, takes you to this world-class waterfall. The trail ends at a well-maintained wooden platform overlook. The waterfalll emerges out of a gorge and drops into a beautiful blue pool. Allow 30 to 45 minutes round trip. This will allow you sometime to enjoy the falls from the Overlook before returning to the parking area. The hike is not wheelchair accessible.

Patty Radcliff

Absolutely beautiful. We spent Labor Day weekend visiting the falls & we enjoyed it so much we are planning another trip next year!

Dilan Zumach

Gorgeous waterfall. There is a viewing platform that is kind of sketchy feeling.

Zhana Jacob

Beautiful falls, short but decently challenging walk for the average couch potato. Only problem is the one public restroom available at the start of the trail: no working lights, no running water, and in desperate need of a cleaning (but it did at least seem to have been stocked with toilet paper recently). A place worth stopping at if you find yourself in the area or if (like us) you are stopping at all the little hikes along the highway

Just Jen

Beautiful hike!

Jeffory Kidd

Lots of stairs but a great lookout plarform.

Pandora Woody

A short trail that's quite busy on the weekends leads you to these pretty waterfalls. On the way there you can see some nice rapids and cauldron formations.

Brenda Carrera

Gorgeous! It was a little muddy and because we have kids, my husband and I were going to turn around and not complete the hike. But thank God we decided to keep going. It was amazing. There's a view of water midway but please keep going as you will be thrilled you did. There's a lot of stairs.. not difficult but don't bring a stroller. I also saw a small group going through the fence on the left side which allows you to go further down if you are up for that. There are ropes which help you. It looks dangerous so just be careful if you do. I visited in mid April and will definitely be back maybe in summer.

Nicole Glazier

Great trails and views

Nick Chandler

If you up for an adventure and are an experienced hiker you must take the trail to the bottom of the falls and go swimming. Absolutely amazing.

Kelly Tower

Lots of steps, up and down in elevation, keep your eyes on the trail as it is rough. Easy to trip. Take water and good footwear.

Diane Sparks

Very beautiful waterfall.

Gary Firestone

The setting is easy to access and is gorgeous.

Raspberry jolt

Beautiful place to visit. 8 have to say my ride getting there from tigard was so worth the 3 almost 4 hours . The views were so breath taking and beautiful. Must see!

Luba K

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Oregon!! Definately worth the drive through the forest to get here.

Kimberly Weeks

Absolutely beautiful and a must see!!! A nice little hike with an incredible view of one magnificent waterfall!!! If you’re in the area, you need to check this out for sure!!!

Kayla Renfro

Great family hiking!

Craig Swoverland

Gorgeous. Only wish we could have hiked down to the bottom. Has a lookout area for photos. Lots of parking and a really cool aqua duct system. The falls are on the North Umpqua River.

thugprncs 420

Sooo beautiful!!

Mike Krystkiewicz

Beautiful walk to the falls. You can't believe the pine smell till you actually get onto the trail. It's amazing. I wish my Christmas tree would smell that good.

Amber Faust

Nice little hike to a lovely waterfall

Jon Ferguson

Wow -- Parking the RV was a little tough but we made it work, squeezing it into the side of the drive into the main parking lot -- Short hike with moderate elevation gains and lots of stairs in and out -- Seemed kinda hard for the older crowd there but we breezed through except for one fall by the 3 y/o -- The falls are beautiful but I thought the highlight was actually in the parking lot -- a huge redwood water pipe that sprayed a small amount of water into the parking lot for the kids to run around and play in!!! Must see attraction if you can drive down through here!!!

Angela Guzman

Did not see a place to go down off the trail closer to the falls, but I wouldn't have done it if I did. It was quite steep and perfectly beautiful from the viewing platform. There were lots of stairs but also benches for people who needed a rest. The last half of the trail got hit in the sun but it was pretty short and we'll worth the time if you're anywhere near the area.

Roxanne Roberts

Be ready for leg day! It has a lot of steps to the falls but it is worth the view!

AARON CARREON

Difficult trail but worthed.

Christi Siedlecki

Beautiful fall. Trail had a lot of stairs, but well maintained. Quite a bit of activity on the trail. You don't get very close to the fall, you just get a good look at it from an outlook above.

K Co.

Gorgeous + fairly easy hike. The trail is well-maintained. There are a bunch of stairs, just FYI. But the end view of the falls is great.

Anne LeSenne

Absolutely beautiful falls, and a quick but great hike.

Valentino Ghirardi

Short hike from the parking lot to the lookout, there is a hole in the fence climb down it is easy path if dry. The view from the bottom is just amazing

John Smith

Amazing waterfall and a must see for anyone visiting the area. Crowded at times but worth it.

Gary Sutherland

Trail here was maintained very well and an easy walk. Wow, this is a must see! Could have starred at these falls all day.

J. Furgason

Absolutely stunning! The massive wooden diversion pipe is amazing to behold. It runs along the parking lot at the trailhead to Tokatee Falls. The hike to the falls is easy, with a few interesting photo-op sites along the way. I wish there was a safe way down to the splash pool but the overlook deck and viewpoint are still fantastic!

Shelby Garrett

The fall is beautiful. And the hike is short for a big reward. The bottom of the fall isn't accessable unless you are a pretty experienced hiker and jump the fence. You view the fall from an special build view point. Not being able to access the water under the fall is the reason for four instead of five. A couple places a long the way have water access if you really want it.

Carly Cox

it was really fun and pretty simple. me and some friends went there for a day trip and hiked down to the bottom of the falls. that part is kinda difficult but there is a rope in one part you can hold on to. also you have to go through a hole in the fence or climb over the fence to get to the trail that leads down to the waterfall.

Shiran Sukumar

Absolutely gorgeous and such an easy hike. Can be very popular on weekends so plan accordingly. There are hot springs near by so look around and plan a beautiful day trip. Easy access to the lookout point, if climbing stairs is manageable, roughly 150 steps.

Andy Zheng

Short hike on the trail to the falls. Handful of butterflies greet you on the way and the waterfall is impressive even if it is artificially directed flow

Jen Hermed

Beautiful place and super easy hike. It is very muddy in some parts of the trail. It does get a bit of traffic so it’s better to go early. Dogs are allowed in the trails but you should keep them on leash. Also, you are not allowed to go down to the falls. Some people do it anyways so I guess it’s up to you if you want to risk it.

tim lockhart

Amazing waterfall, easy hike

Gary Peschka

View of the falls was fantastic. Plenty of other spots with riding water and mini falls. There are quite a few steps up and down. Was not busy at all mid morning. About 1/2 mile or so to falls.

T S

Amazingly beautiful! Dec, area was wet and lush, a small crowd, gorgeous short little walk.

Bill Miller
