REVIEWS OF Seaside Aquarium IN Oregon

Jonathan Burrup

As the other reviews say, it is quite small but was the perfect experience for our little family. My 5 and 4 year olds were in heaven feeding the seals and touching all the sea anemones and sea stars in the touch tanks. Excellent experience. Do buy the extra fish tray. Totally worth it!

Carie LaMarsh

Felt sorry for the seals. They looked packed in a small area. The ventilation fan in the common area was disgusting and full of dust. I took a picture and showed the owner so hopefully they get it cleaned. Don’t know when it was cleaned last but it could be causing mold to be spread in the air. Wish I could post a picture. It was BAD!!

Tammie Fuda

It was ok...the seals are super adorable. They will splash you. The rest is good for younger children with the touchable creatures. Nothing extravagant

Jye Acosta

Fun place pretty small so maybe twenty mins of your time but it's a fun little spot forsure worth checking out with the kids

kate jer

This aquarium is quite possibly the saddest place on earth. It is where dreams (and fish) go to die. There is no light. There is no joy. The water and the fish are all brown. Everyone there is sad, especially the fish. We left after about two minutes because we couldn’t stand how miserable all the animals looked. You can even feed some claustrophobic looking seals really smelly fish. Please spend the 19 dollars you would use on the entrance fee on gas to a place far far away from this aquarium. Zero stars :(

Carmen Meyers

Had such a wonderful time here! The seals were so cool!

Gates Bennett

Fun little aquarium. The seals were cute, and we were in and out in about half an hour.

Natalie Haney

I love going and seeing the seals and feeding them. The giant Pacific octopus is awesome! Being able to feel different crabs and sea creatures is fun. #greatfamilyfun

Anita Mendoza

Been coming here off and on for last 40 years or so and thought my 2 yr old granddaughter would enjoy, which she did! Feed the seals, enjoyed aquarium with all the different sea animals including hands on and able to buy trinket from gift shop. Entrance fee was reasonable for a tourist attraction. If you have young children, this is a great place

Mia Feldman

The seals were adorable! They also did really funny things and I like that we got to feed them! I Highly recommend this place there's are there really awesome other fish there too!

Nathaniel M.

It's a rather small but quaint aquarium. The kids enjoyed the specimens they displayed and feeding the seals and watching them splash around was fun.

Katelynn Hitsman

This place is so much fun. We come to feed the seals. Be warned you will be splashed by seals wanting fish! The aquarium also offers tanks where you can interact closely or touch sea life.

Tara Lacey

Needs some serious TLC. The seals were a hoot, I saw no signs of abuse to them but they really were in what seems to be a little tank. The beach outside, however, is incredible.

ryan mansfield

Always fun. You get to feed the seals and they have a nice little aquarium.

James Goforth

Oh man my three-year-old just love this place feeding the seals are so awesome and the fact that they have the open tanks that they can reach in and play with the little secret hers is so cool the little coloring station I mean it was just totally cater to the young ones and that's really cool

Brett Sies

Really fun place and even fed the seals. Was alot of fun with my toddler.

matthew woods

Feeding the seals is pretty fun and cute to watch them clap and jump for the bits of fish. Otherwise it's a large fish tank style aquarium. There are some cool species to look at but it's rather small. Kids really like it so it should honestly cost more for kids than adults as it's not really worth the adult price.

Jesse Drennen

Very small aquarium inside with limited variety of fish, but lots of Pacific octopuses, which is cool. Feeding the harbor seals is easily the coolest thing there! Buy the fishies to feed these cool animals!

Mirra Woods

Definitely a fun tourist trap sort of attraction. Feeding the seals is a fun experience for any age so long as you are okay with touching dead fish. The other animals in the next room are fun to see and there is a good variety, but the lighting is a bit poor. The staff was pleasant and answered questions about the animals as best they could. Price is decent for what you get to experience.

Dezee Curtis

This is kind of a hole in the wall type of aquarium, but I do suggest the visit! It was well priced, we have a family of 8 and since we have a 2 year old and a 1 year old they are free so the 6 of us got the family deal for $29 which seemed longer a very fir price. They charge $2 per container of fish if you want to feed the seals which was a high point for my kids. The starfish tank the kids loved because they could touch everything in it. They had some really neat fish in the aquarium but do not go here expecting something grand as it is very small and was a bit crowded. Parking can be found behind the aquarium but there is not many spaces.

Sam G

This facility and its holding pools/tanks are too small to adequately meet the needs of the sea life they are housing. It looks and feels run down. And the reception staff could use a course in how to deal with the public in a polite and respectful way. I will never step foot in this place again!

Ruby Ragland

I absolutely adored the seals, loved the fish. And the touch pool omg it was Soo cool, definitely recommend!

Russ Roush

Excellent way to experience the seals. You can feed them some fish for $2 a tray. The price was reasonable and they have a family ticket. The seals each have their own personality. Don't be surprised if someone gets splashed. The are aquariums with local wildlife. There is also a small petting section. The staff is willing to answer questions. We especially enjoyed it because the week we visited had heavy rain, so it will be hard to see the seals in the wild.

Melissa Brown

My family always loves to stop at the Seaside Aquarium when we are traveling nearby. I love to see the Seals, we could feed them fish all day!

Dillon Roth

The seals are happy and the other creatures are awesome. The octopus in the middle is a rad sight

Jennifer McDonald

Love to go and watch the different seal personalities.

Anita Acosta

I loved and my family and nieces loved going to the seaside aquarium! The staff was very bbn helpful. And I loved the gift shop.

brent p

Feeding the seals. Ridiculously fun

Thomas Parsons

Fun place to visit. The seals are so fun to watch.

Renee Ferguson

What a delightful nook of Oregon's coastal treasures! The employees are incredibly knowledgeable about the animals they keep. The variety is mind boggling. It makes me respect Oregon's marine reserve that much more. The gift shop is also full of affordable little treasures to please the young and the young at heart.

Krystal King

I always have enjoyed coming here over the years. Use to come here when I was a child and now enjoy bringing my children.

Riannon Watson

They have several sea creatures to view and the seals are quite adorable and love to be fed.

Nicole Moxon

Such a cute and quaint little aquarium. I really love that they have tanks to touch the animals in. My son really loved be able to actually touch the starfish instead of only seeing them. It's also only one room, so there's no worry of children getting lost.

Kathleen

Nice to have a small aquarium where families can bring their children to interact with nature, without being invasive to the environment. It's small, old but has a ton of history. Go ahead! Feed the seals!

Shayna Kirwin

Sand bottles so we can capture our own sand on our first trip as a couple - $1.00 each - boat for the middle $7 - crab found on the beach open on the complete bottom - Free ------- life time of memories -- priceless. Gift shop is amazing and affordable for adults and children. Not to mention we always wanted mood rings for fun because we are cute nerds ****Bring water proof coat **** all those cute lil animals LOVE to splash!!! LOVED IT WILL ALWAYS COME BACK!!!!

Richard Freeman

We stop in when were in town we love feeding the seal's, my poor grandson was soaked he was close to the side watching.

Trigger

What a good fun experience for the whole family. It has a petting zoo and some very knowledgeable staff. The best part for us all was feeding the seals, we all loved it!

Happy Gardner

This is a small little aquarium. They offer a senior discount. Four bucks to feed the seals some little fish. Rather dark and sad place. Too many seals in a small tank competing for food and snacks. All well fed but bored. Many small educational tanks to learn about the pacific creatures. Very interesting to read each description of the small creatures inside. And a hands on touching tank with a nice man to help with the educational talk. Nice employees and small gift shop. This place really needs a large influx of money and support to bring it up to current standards . It’s like a throwback to the 50s or 60’ board walk attractions.

Amber Kohler

It's small but they make up for it in experiences! You get to feed seals, there are a couple of touch pools with sea creatures, and an octopus in an open container in the middle of the aquarium :) cute little gift shop too! I had a lot of fun looking at the different sea animals there!

Jamie Slaney

I have never ever laughed like I did here seeing the personalities of the seals especially Scully. I have fallen in love with these beautiful creatures. I needed the laugh and happiness it brought so bad. This place is truly amazing

Jack Marrin

The Seaside Aquarium is a very old facility in this very popular Oregon resort community. The aquarium has seen better days, is run down, and somewhat dirty. The exhibits are small and lack the attention getting and educational themes of modern aquariums. Sorry, I can't recommend a visit.

Emily Herivel

Small, local, but home to some neat critters! We saw four octopi, and feeding the seals was definitely a highlight of our day.

Franki Clark

The seals are so funny and there so cute

Monte Leidholm

Older aquarium but tanks clean. Feed the seals definitely. Has several octopus with one in central pool. Wort low price

Kelli Erickson

Very small, crowded Our 3 year old loved to feed the seals as they were by far the best thing to do and see there. We bought several seal food trays and suggest bringing extra money to do the same. The pacific octopus was also pretty cool too.

Geneva Dunnaway

Nice little aquarium stop. Had fun watching my daughter feed the sea lions.

Brandon Bogart

So much fun!! Great way to spend a hour or two

Kayla Howard

This place was amazing my family had so much fun

Debbie Koehler

Great time with my kids.. enjoyed the experience

Kai Childers

For the price of admission (in my case I believe I was overcharged $3, but I digress), the quality of the exhibits was not worth it. Not a bad place, but one of the octopuses is in a relatively small tank. There's one very large octopus in a large tank. Otherwise, not a bad visit, just not really happy with the value

Justin Sutherby

Best place ever! The seals are hilarious!

David Coe

Our young kids had a blast here. The hands on exhibits were pretty unique.

Alexandra Tosciano

Very nice attraction and home to marine life! The seals were adorable and the information posted about them personally and in general was great!

Jeannine Hokanson

If you are looking for a small town aquarium, you found it. You can watch an octopus up close, feel smaller creatures with a gentle touch in the touch bins... And my favorite? Feed the adorable harbor seals that splash and clap and provide such fun entertainment!

Shirley Harris

The aquarium had a some nice exhibits. The map they supply is not easy to navigate. My family got lost twice trying to find the exit. I think having 2 gift shops was confusing also.

Rick Warden

Amazing experience. One of the best aquarium that I have ever seen. Seals are there and each one has a name and different personality. The exhibits all feature a variety of sea life.

Charlie Zurcher

Seals are really neat! They love showing off for some fresh fish you throw them. They have three Giant Octopus which are fun to watch too. Fairly small place but fun and we would go again.

Ryan Mitton

A great little aquarium with a large variety of sea creatures. There are octopuses which are fun to watch, also their wide selection of different fish is quite impressive. But the best part is the seals, they are so much fun to feed and play with. If your going to Seaside this is a place you need to see.

timothy mcguire

This place is nice to visit and learn more about sea life. It is interesting. Also the seals. You can feed them and they each preform for you. Each one has a method of getting your attention for the good food. I love it.

Linda

This place is so cool. Very small and painfully obviously low budget but the tidepool is beyond amazing. The people who work there are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and an octopus in an open tank? Seriously, out of this world. We will definitely be stopping again on our way down the coast next summer.

D Tefft

Small but informative. A great place to bring the kids and see some smaller displays.

Carla Stevenson

DO NOT GO TO THIS HELL HOLE. THIS PLACE ABUSES THE SEALS!!! DO NOT GO. One of Seaside Aquariums biggest draws are these helpless seals that live in a small pool-like enclosure, perhaps 8X5 feet and no deeper than 2.5 feet. Customers can have the "pleasure" of seeing them in their miserable tank and for a small fee you can buy a tray of fish and feed them. The poor seals clap and howl competing for the few bits of fish between the 11 of them. According to one aquarium worker, during the summer this is their main source of food. This is not the way it should be for these beautiful marine mammals or the several other animals that unfortunately call the aquarium home. Seals for one, are extremely intelligent social beings that need stimulation to live a healthy, normal life. In the wild, these animals have the whole of the ocean to call their home but at Seaside they barely have a pool, and a shallow one at that. Seaside aquarium defends their facilities saying that they are governed by USDA standards. But these rules are clearly minimum standards, and even if they aren't breaking our laws, they are breaking the rules of nature by forcing the seals to live in captivity for their entire lives. It's time Seaside recognized that it is not OK to imprison marine mammals and use them as tourist traps to line their pockets.

Matthew Weaver

At first, I was a bit disappointed by the size of the aquarium. The family admission was decently priced, so it wasn't a big drain on the wallet. The giant octopus and the touch tanks were really neat, but being able feed the seals was amazing. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation!

naomi isawesome

It was really dark in the building and in the fish tanks. Was kinda hard to get a good look at the fishes. I LOVED feeding the seals tho!

Michael Dutcher

Small place, but very fun to visit and my younger younger boys really enjoyed it. Plus it is right off the beach.

William Sanborn

I've been here probably 15 times now. The animals are on a rotation it seems. This last time there were a lot of octopi and they were all active while was really fun. My only gripe is that the people manning the touch tanks seem uninterested and bored. Their seals are awesome, they all have their own personality and tricks to get their treats. My daughter loves the seals more than anything and regularly asks if we can go see them. It would be very cool to have a web cam so their fans could check in when we can't make the trip.

Andrew Z

For the reasonable cost this was, we enjoyed our short time here. The place is very small but some of the tanks they have are really awesome! They have one big concrete pond with a big octopus in it, was really cool to see it up close and from above that through a tank. They also had on in a tank as well. It appeared many of their animals come from somewhat of the local area and that's actually cool in my opinion. I absolutely loved that they had seals and you could buy a few fish to feed them, they were so cute. I felt the aquarium could be a little cleaner, but it is old. Definitely worth coming back at some point.

Sharon Jefferies

I got to see my favorite water creatures, octopus.... They put on quite a show, I just worry a little, I feel like their tanks are a little small... And of course fed the wild & crazy seals, was fun..

David Greenman

Great memories coming here as a teen and now I got to bring my kid here. Had a great time.

Kelly Watkins

I was shocked at how small this aquarium is. Not too shabby though! Kind of felt dirty and dingy a bit, but I understand it's an old building. Great array of fish and ocean dwelling creatures. The sea lions are blast, not very short person friendly to see/feed the actual lions through the protective grates. loved the touch tanks, the octopi, and the rest of the fun creatures. Great gift shop.

Nella Weisman

It was just ok. I love history, and well, this building is HISTORIC! The price to enter was oretty fair, we paid $29 for a Family of 7. The best and saddest attraction are the seals, you can feed them for $2.00 a tray of fish. But its a small area for about 6 seals, i felt bad for them, seals should be in an open area, anyways, they definitely wont go hungry with all the fish the tourist would feed.

Joshua Czajkowski

Small aquarium. Only takes about 30 minutes to walk around and view everything. Obviously, the star attraction is the seals. Despite the seals hanging out in a smaller enclosure they actually have a huge space to roam around in the back. They group up in the smaller area because that's where people feed them. The seals are fun and my 4 year old loved the antics they performed to get attention for food.

Christopher McManus

I always feel like the Seaside Aquarium is underwhelming, but my kids absolutely love it. Could spend all day in there if we let them. Not much of a hit for the parents, but probably underrated for kids.

Gina Mclemore

Had blast watching the seals play and doing their tricks. Loved that you can touch the amoebas and the starfish. The gift store has some really cute things.

Dan Weems

Pretty decent place. Low budget for sure but neat to look at the critters they have. Fun place to take the kids. Have a little "petting" area for sea stars and such. Nice time killer, polite staff

Jim Pearson

For a small aquarium, it's well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the exhibits are neat and interesting. Feeding the seals is a unique experience.

Evie Lister

Very cute, it was small but I had read up on it so I was expecting that. The three large octopuses were amazing. They were cool, the fish they had were also cool. A cute little set up. My favorite part was feeding the sea lions. They were so adorable! Like my cats begging for treats. They were very active. Probably because we came in the morning. I suggest if you want to avoid the crowds go right when it opens as my mom and I were leaving a bunch of family’s were coming in. The gift shop was super cute too. And the beach was right across from it too. Great photo opportunities.

Bobbi Rittenhouse

This is a must if you are In seaside. The seals are hilarious

Brandon Witherspoon

An historic Seaside must see attraction.

Eighty8 Migs

Doesn't try to be anything it isn't...small aquarium with good collection of marine life and playful seals

matt hibbert

Dark and damp inside. Fun for the kids but very small. Highlight was feeding the seals.

Mark Yan.

Had the most amazing time here. Had to buy a lot of herring to feed them amazing deals, oh they were awesome. They have 3 Pacific octopuses, and one was in open space could literally touch them. And all other small fish tanks had cool fish inside.

Kelly Tower

I had no idea what to expect and I should have. This is not a real aquarium. It's one large concrete room with about 20 or so concrete, smaller aquariums. There are a few aquariums slightly larger in size. Inside two of the smaller containers, they have two octopus. It's pretty sad. The water, while it is pumped, moves minimally and is very dank and dirty. The two octopus in the smaller aquariums were bright red and pimply and moving around quickly. They were clearly angry. They also have a very large pacific octopus inside a floor display. It was white, the entire time we were there. It didn't move once. The whole place was very sad, dank and smelled bad. That said, there is HUGE opportunity for this place. Seaside is an often visited place for many families like ours. I would love to see some money invested in this aquarium and see it take off.

Heather Corder

We love this little aquarium and feeding the seals. I wish we could interact and watch the seals more.

Kristy Waller

Seaside Aquarium is part of the community of Seaside. It is representative of the love this community has for sea life. It is small, but filled with ocean life. All well care for. And a separate pool for seals, which clap for you, as you throw them little fish to eat.

Amberlea Rose

Really small, the seal feeding is fun but crowded easily. Limited parking for an hour behind the building while visiting the aquarium. This is definitely more a historical aquarium versus larger aquariums.

coffeebirdtree

Nice little aquarium! I loved the seals, and so did my daughter. They also have some tanks where kids can touch some sea life, and tanks with octopi. The reasons i did not give it a five star review are because there are no restrooms, and the nearest public restrooms are on the beach, and not very clean or inviting. Also seemed a little pricey when not in a group and able to get the group deal.

K Ingraham-Beck

We loved feeding the seals and seeing the history of the aquarium! There are a couple of fun touch exhibits for kids.

Ramona Paden

We had an amazing time! We loved it and had so much fun! We saw all sorts of fish and seals ....dude! For $2 you can feed em to .....dont worry! The only dislike I have has no interference to you personally.......the only thing that has a hair in my butt is the living quality of the sea creatures there....but hey! It was a fantastic outing other than that! :-)

vena damar

We loved the Harbor Seals! The rest was good but nothing compared to feeding the Harbor Seals. It was definitely worth the trip.

Matthew Hall

Fun place. Small room but they have a touch pool where you and the kids can touch and feel or play with the sea creatures. And open pool where you can get a foot awayfrom a giant red Pacific octopus.

BRIAN COX

Haven't been here in a few years. A small aquarium with numerous fish and crustaceans, squid, octopus and eels. But of course the star of the show is the SEALS. Eleven to be exact. They are very entertaining when begging to be fed their pieces of fish, which you can purchase for $2.00. Family deal best for entering $29.00 for 6. We paid $25.50 for 3 adult. We would stop again.

Jessica Portillo

Small very small aquarium but had a lot of interesting sealife you don't usually find at the zoo or your usual aquarium. Paid $25 for my little family of 4. Feeding the seals was the best part. Feeding trays are $2 each will need more than a couple to take good pics and for kiddos to have a good time.

Jonica Courtney

Cute little aquarium. Too bad you have to pay for admission to feed those adorable seals!!

Blake Westfall

Lots of my dislike comes from the lack of rule enforcement by the employees. People throwing garbage towards the seals. Loads of flash photography. Its unsanitary. This place used to be good family fun. Now its just filled with sadness

jose monterroza

friendly staff. Quality service.

Brandon Streifel

Only gave 4 stars because of the size of the aquarium. It's kinda small but has a good variety of animals. Feeding the seals was definitely the highlight of the experience highly recommended. Some of the seals splash for food. Be prepared to get a little wet.

Stephanie Richerson

Perfect little aquarium. Feeding the seals is hilarious!

Sergio Cotrim

Variety of sea life very well arranged. Feed the seals watch was fantastic , about 2PM. They are well treated and happy

Miriam Vandenburg

It was fun feeding the sea lions

Kayla Bosarge

Fun aquarium for the family. Its right on the beach and they do a great job about keeping it fun and exciting!

Raine

It was a great experience for both young and old.. I had a blast feeding the seals..and also learned a fact that I didn't know.. that fish get thirsty.. MIND BLOWN..

Renae Spears

It is a small aquarium but very cool still. The staff were well informed and friendly. It can definitely feel a little cramped at times but the crowd shifts in out well. Feeding the seals is fun and the gift shop has a lot of options for anyone.

Shawn Lord

We always learn something new. Great staff. Nice place

desarey haggard

Small yet informative fun for the family

Dakota Prose

This was cheap and fun. Good for all ages. My son is almost 2 and we had a great time. It's a small area though. They have a huge octopus, lots of different kinds of disk, seal to feed that do tricks and splash. And sea creatures you can touch.

Thomas Endres

Needs to be replaced or completely updated it's been the same for years

Tyler Palmer

Small aquarium with lots inside. The main attraction is definitely feeding the seals. The seals really make this place awesome since you can feed them

Jessica Wade

It's a small aquarium but has enough to keep the kids entertained. The giant octopus is pretty incredible and the seals are super fun.

Everything Erickson

My only complaint is I wish it was bigger. Feeding the sea lions, hilarious! We had a great time , if you need indoor things to do thanks to the rain- Do this. It's also right on the beach !

Christopher Sanborn

The seals were very cool, my favorite was the one who slams his fat belly for snacks

Angela Bigelow

Great little Aquarium! Charming place with an assortment of seas creatures! I had a lot of fun!

Annetta Johansen

Nice little tourist spot. This aquarium is old (even states it's one of the oldest) and not very big, but interesting. I was concerned when I read a few reviews about treatment of the seals, but my concerns were alleviated after visiting. Yes, the viewing area for the seals is not large, but there is another area that they freely go in to, not fully visable to patrons, but it is there, so they are not kept just in this tiny area. We happened to be there when aquarium staff fed them and it appeared the fish we plentiful! The seals were showing off in various ways to get attention for fish. Each had a unique personality and it was fun to watch them! They played in the tank, and looked healthy to me, and well cared for. We watched a young lady feed the tiny sharks and she was knowledgeable, seemed to "know" the sharks and was very attentive to them. This is a fun little stop.

Alex Kornikova

This place is great cheap place. $8 per person. Small kids are free and you get to feed the seals when they do tricks. They also have an aquarium full of octopus and cool sea life. Good family stop.

Amanda Larsen

It was amazing to feed the seals. They each have their own personalities. The aquarium itself was cute and informative.

Johnna Cain

My 18 month old daughter loved the tide pools. I absolutely loved the octopus. Very cool. And I cant stop watching those adorable seals. We call them water puppies! So cute!

Mike K

Great little aquarium with many things to see. They have mostly smaller fish and critters, but what they have is very unique. The petting tank is extremely fun for both young and old, there are a number of activities for kids. Whatever you do, feed the seals!! They are very entertaining with each having his or her own personality, and are a joy to interact with.

Jamey Collins

Such a cute little place! There is even a touching pool. Feeding the seals is a blast!

Raquel Wright

This is a great place to visit it's so fun feeding the seals!

Kunal singh

Its a small little aquarium but not worth $8.5 ticket as there's very little to see. But overall nice little place to visit if you have kids

Sammantha Fisher

Five stars just for the star seals! For a small aquarium they have more octopus than I've ever seen in one location and a great selection of local fish. The 2$ fish trays for the seals is well worth the show! Prepare to get splashy.

Elizabeth Myers

I love visiting here whenever I'm in the area. It's a wonderful little aquarium.

PISTOLARROWS OUTDOORS

Awesome place to visit, very affordable and great people. Lots of animals to see, right on the beach. Great parking behind the building, easy to find. I highly recommend this place to visit.

Debbe Vincent

Nice size. Not too big. We were able to take our dog in.

Shane Y

Happened to be in the area and decided to check out the aquarium with a couple of friends, as we're always interested in seeing what aquariums, zoos, etc have to offer. While there was some really neat information regarding the animals in their care, all of the exhibits seemed exceedingly small with too many in each tank. And while it was very fun to see the seals, watch them be fed, and even throw fish to them ourselves, seeing that there are a dozen plus seals in such a small area is very, very heartbreaking, especially as they know nothing other than clapping and slapping for food. There's hardly room for them to swim around one another. There may very well be a hidden 'room' for them but from what we saw it was way too small for the number of animals, honestly too small of a pen for even just one or two. There was nothing to provide enrichment to them at all. Just tourists throwing them fish. The aquarium itself is really small. The main portion is essentially one big room lined with tanks, a touch-tank, and a couple of tanks in the middle. The seals are near the entrance/exit and their enclosure is smaller than the room of tanks. For the $8.50 that's charged I'd expect to see a little bit more, or at least animals in better/bigger enclosures. The people who work there seemed to really genuinely care about the animals and enjoy their jobs, but it was just unfortunate to see the state of the animals in the aquarium, and the state of the enclosures.

David Motola

Great little aquarium. It's a good 45 minutes of fun for the kids.

Amber Whedon

Love this place been going there sence I was a little kid the seals are my favorite

Elizabeth G

A nice family place right off the boardwalk. My kids found many exhibits that interested them. My 2 yr. old was fascinated by the octopus, so we watched it. While the rest of the group wandered the exhibits. My parents found enough reading to enlighten them about Pacific Ocean life. It's not a large place, but worth the stop.

shirley Simms

Love the sea lions really friendly and knowledge staff

Rocio Ferrer

Small place, perfect for kids under 5. Adults $8.50 & kids under 3 are free.

Erik McKee

Small, but enjoyable aquarium. Admission is reasonable for the size of the aquarium. Multiple octopi to be viewed close up as well as touching pools. Be sure to check out the seals at the front of the aquarium. You can purchase food to give to them, and they will "perform" for your attention as well!

Kao Saechao

Inexpensive place to bring the kids (free 5 and under). A little small but packed full of fish tanks and things to see. There is no restroom inside but public ones are just down the path at the beach.

MIchelle luippold

Not that great of an aquarium , but the seals are the best. Just the same as I remembered from when I was a kid.

Katherine Clark

Wonderful aquarium even though it is quite small. The seals are the only big attraction but the small tanks were still very interesting. I have to ride in a wheelchair for stuff like this and it was quite manageable to get in and out and move around with help. To get to the seals it's a ramp up and then back down the same ramp to get out. A bit narrow on the ramp but I have a 20" wheelchair and still had room just couldn't turn around. The rest of the aquarium is basically a big square and is easily manageable. The large octopus tank is not easily viewed from a chair and the touch pools are not accessible either as they have 2 steps up to reach them all the way around and are quite high. Sinks are also not easily accessible so if you do touch something or feed the seals it's hard to wash your hands afterwards. The gift shop is completely inaccessible as it is up 2 or 3 steps as well with no ramp.

Lillian Tittle

Always love going to the aquarium this time particularly because it was my 23 year old daughter's first time to visit the aquarium

Melony Mendenhall

It's not very big, but it's still a great place to take your kids. And to learn about sea life.

Cassandra Bradley

This was an awesome family thing to do with our kids and an amazing Aquarium!

NotSoTypical Mama

Had a wonderful family experience feeding the seals. Keep this business open. Visit it when you're in Seaside

Olivia Campbell

I got splashed! It was so fun.

I think it shrunk as I grew up. The feeding the seals was fun though. The seals would tell you to feed throw the next fish to them. Kids got a great laugh.

A pretty small aquarium, but what they do have is great. Feeding the seals was the highlight of my children's experience.

Shatanya Banks

Our 3 year old loved our time at the Seaside Aquarium she fed the seals for an extra $3.

This is one of the saddest places I have ever been to. When you first walk in, you're greeted by seals in the smallest and most confined area I've ever seen. The seals are there fighting for food thrown to them by the customers who pay extra to do so. A quick Google will lead to articles stating this is the only food they get during summer months. Some of the seals have even resorted to doing tricks just to get fed. Incredibly sad. The rest of the place is really small. There's an octopus with little room to move and several other tanks of various fish and even some sharks in similar situations. I'm not sure what I expected but I regret contributing money to this place.

Small, nice aquarium. Feeding the seals is a treat.

Camille Simmons

Very fun to watch the otters be fed. A puffin in the aviary swam right up to my toddler son, he loved it!

This place was extremely small. The fish area was pretty lame. But, the SEALS stole the show and made it worth every penny! They have 11 seals you can toss sardines at. They have self taught themselves tricks to get you to give them food. One will slap his belly, one claps, and a couple will splash you! It was great! I would go back just to feed the seals!

Small but perfect size when your trying to fit as many stops and sights in as you can. You can go straight from the aquarium to the beach.

A very adorable little aquarium! Really enjoyed the experience, but just wish it were a little larger. There is essentially two rooms; one for the seals, one for the remainder of the fish. It is definitely good for smaller children, with a small number of tactile-friendly tanks. The pinnacle is certainly the seals, who love to ham it up for some food (the fish bits are $2 a serving for about 6 bits). The gift shop is small but more than adequate! Would highly recommend to anyone in town for a short stop

It was a great place to take the kids. I did read up on it and yes it is small but kids loved it the same. The kids enjoyed touching the star fish and enemies. My kids really liked different type and sizes octopus. Kids loved feeding the seals and interacting with them. The people that worked there were really nice and informative. I have kids 19 to 4 years old and they all enjoyed the place differently.

Very fun and inexpensive. Small but well worth it. Be sure to feed the seals. They are full of personality.

Billy Irvin

Great little aquarium! My family of 3 got in for under $20 including buying food to feed the sea lions. The sea lions were definitely my sons favorite part. They have a wide variety of sea life to learn about and was a great side trip while we were in seaside.

Toni Barnes

I absolutely love seeing the sea lions. They had such personalities. My family had an awesome time here we will definitely go back

I loved feeding the seals, they do tricks for food.

Every time my 12 yr. old son and I visit family here on the Oregon coast, we go to Seaside Aquarium. It's a beloved tradition. We especially love to feed the adorable seals. The Aquarium is small, relaxed and very easy to navigate. It has 2 wonderful touch tanks where you can touch native tidepool creatures like urchins, hermit crabs, sea stars and anemones. There are many wonderful tanks of fish, crabs and octopus of the Pacific. I learn so much every time we visit! Bring money to spend in the gift shop. They have many nice, affordable souvenirs.

Lexi

Nice attraction, but starting to get a bit congested over the years, hopefully they will be able to expand and renovate soon.

This is the perfect little aquarium for a short visit for all ages. It's the home of "Victor" the lobster before his demise in 1994. The highlight of this aquarium is being able to feed the seals ($2), a water life petting zoo, and some octopuses of various sizes. Small strollers are easier to use, but aquarium can accommodate a double Bob stroller if you can be patient with other visitors.

I fainted here at this establishment. I hit my funny bone on the fence between the seals and the people. We never did get to experience the whole Aquarium because I Hit My Funny Bone about 5 minutes after getting there and fainted. Would be really cool if I could go back again and not be charged , since I missed out and had to leave in an ambulance. Been going to this aquarium since I was about 8 years old. This was the first time my daughter was going to experience it herself.

Love feeding the sea lions at this place. Fun little coloring area and touch tanks for younger kids.
