You will be able to see the opinions of real people who bought the products and services of Prehistoric Gardens (Tourist Attraction) near to the state of Oregon.
Nowadays the firm gets a rating of 4.4 out of 5 and this rating was based on 509 reviews.
As you can see its rating is quite positive, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of Tourist attraction.
Definitely in the vintage 1950's or 1960s hokey style, but absolutely worth it! Still run by nice family who started it. Lots of stuff in gift shop to select from, to bring trip-token gifts home. Nice selection of rocks, crystals, other stuff. Beautiful walk through forest, punctuated with dinosaur models...great to get the circulation going after too much driving, and helps kids "get the wiggles out".
We loved our experience here. A cool place in a natural setting. It should be called Prehistoric Forest. Very cool place. Reasonably priced. The gift shop was overpriced, and I am used to the high price of gift shops. We had a great time here.
While the setting is very pretty, some of the displays are in need of repair. It's also fairly expensive. But if your kid loves dinosaurs then it is worth it to see their expressions.
Prices are a bit high but good quality in gift shop and prices for touring is great.
Interesting. Kids old and young will love this place.
Such a fun little place in the middle of nowhere... you gotta check out the T. rex at least... come on... you know you want too
Just plain educational fun! Great for kids of all ages :-)
Absolutel Oregon gem! My fiance enlightened me she had never been before and I insisted we go THAT DAY then and there with our infant son. It was the most enjoyable experience for both adult and infant, seeing it for their first times. It was a very memorable part of my childhood, and now I've been able to share it with my child. I hope this mini marvel lasts many more generations!
Fantastic place! My kids love it! So much fun and a nice walk.
Amazing little garden adventure. Found by driving by on a road trip and it ended up being really cool. It cost 12 dollars to enter but it's worth it. Great views and very relaxing.
Fun little park to explore your inner kid again
Very fun place for the kids. Well kept and freshly people.
Great walk in the old growth trees. Nice Dinosaur collection.
Fun place to visit
I stop by this gift shop for a souvenir dinosaur toy every year I ride down the coast, it's awesome.
Fun little spot to stretch your legs
So much fun and informative. Great for all ages.
It is exactly as wonderfully kitsch as the photos suggest! I'm a dinosaur fan and loved it, but it was a bit on the expensive side in my opinion.
Awesome but a little cheesy
Open 7 days a week, year round. Current (March, 2018) hours: 10AM-5PM. Summer hours (no definition of "summer") 9-6. I'd assume when kids are out of school, the days are long & evenings warm. Admission: $12. Dogs OK on leash.
LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Beautiful setting and unique experience thank you!
my kids are into dinosaur train, so they had so much fun! place has umbrellas, bring rubber boots!
The garden is nice and the dinosaurs are life size apparently but the dinosaurs looked extremely fake.
Great place for the kids well worth the stop, a little on the pricey side.
Pretty awesome place!
Really great gift shop. The tour is fun for kids...of all ages if you have a playful attitude!
This place is so much fun. It's a cute little road side attraction that is a must for family's as they are traveling down the coast. The dinosaurs are place on an easily accessible path through the woods which gives it a prehistoric feel. The path is smooth so great for strollers if you need to take one. There is also a cute little gift shop
I use a walker and had a really hard time getting through. But the dinosaurs were pretty cool.
Allowed the pup, was a nice nature walk.
Pretty awesome and the people that run it and the gift shop are super nice. Pet friendly as long as they are on leash. Very educational
Friendly family fun
Took our kids when they were small in the late eighties, and now we took our grandsons and they loved it. The grounds are so green and relaxing atmosphere.
Best time ever
Really cool place! Fun for anyone who enjoys dinosaurs to explore around. Cool information and nice little gift shop. I believe it was $12 per person to walk around. Worth it for the experience, there's no animation all just fixed statues but still fun.
We love this place! Great place to stretch your legs if driving the 101. Our boys love the dinos and the adults love quick walk in some leafy green Forest. Stop in and check it out!!
Fun facts and dinosaurs, IN THE REDWOODS! Strongly suggest hitting this one at 9 am, when the doors open :) We had an exclusive, VIP showing ;)
So much fun to explore
Had a blast with my kids! Worth seeing at least once. Doesn't take very long to get through so even if your passing through you should have time to stop. Lots of written information as well.
Only stopped to walk our dog but there is a beautiful creek that runs through it. Next time we will go inside.
Super cool! Very short walk but worth it!
Love this place!!! So amazing!!!
I went here as a kid over 60 years ago and still I smile at the dinosaurs it is a happy place
Kids liked seeing all the dinosaurs, very green and beautiful. Very short and too expensive.
Terrible, do not pay to go through that park it is not worth the money
It is a nice place but the attraction is short/small
Great for the whole family
The gardens you walk through are beautiful and the sculptures are cool but I felt it was a little expensive. 12 dollars for adults
Loved it! A great place to walk around and learn a few things about dinasours.
What a hidden gem. We had a great time took lots of pics because I'm obsessed with dinosaurs. It was so cool to learn that this place was built before Disneyland and is still going strong. Sweet lady works in the gift shop. Even though the dinosaurs are fake the plants are real and it's a nice walking path.
Great surprise fun
Fun walk in a beautiful forest with well crafted dinosaurs and educational facts about dinosaurs and plants. Fun with kids!
This was a fun stop off the 101. It was obvious that the creators put a lot of time and effort into making the dinosaurs. I learned a lot about the geological time periods too! It was $12 for the ticket and it took about 20-30 minutes to go through the whole thing, taking your time and reading all the plaques and descriptions. They even had information about the native trees and formation of plants. The gift shop had some great shirts and merch too.
Sure it’s kitsch... and sure it costs money to visit, but that’s what road trips are all about— stopping and making memories. It’s well maintained, fun for kids (we had a five year old who really enjoyed it) and there’s a lot to learn for older kids who love dinosaurs. We went around a few times and also jogged through it to work out the wiggles after sitting for a long time in the car. The gift shop is very cute.
Both my kids loved this, my son used their map to guide us through. Loved the life-sized dinosaurs, and the gardens are already in a beautiful part of the forest
One of the last "Road Side Attractions". Places of road side amusement & education are like Drive Inn Movies & Car Hop Service. Fast fading away. Everybody says they like the the places & service. But there are fewer & fewer of them every year. 40 years ago you could darn near throw a rock from one to the next. Make a good book for somebody to do.
Love love love a must go see attractions rain or shine
Fun place for a dinosaur lover.
The BEST for a family stop. Has a gift shop that has sooooo much. Almost a science store. Love it!
Way worth it. Not just for the nostalgic aspect but how cool it is to find a rainforest with scale to size dinosaurs. Great way to get out of the car and strech your legs for 20 mins as well. My mom and step dad didnt stop when we were younger they said it would be a waste... now I'm an adult and I still think it would have been way rad.. boo on my parents for not stopping.. be a cool parent. You're probably road tripping anyways!
So much fun
Even though my family and I have driven by here thousand of times, we stopped by here on my visit home. The dinosaurs are amazing considering how old they are. The woman at the front desk was actually the granddaughter of the fellow who started it. Excellent walk and a fun gift shop to follow!
Had a great time..
Really great and I'm not a dinosaur freak, so I can whole heartedly recommend to everyone.
It's interesting but totally just a tourist trap / pit stop along the road
A little expensive but it is a very cool place to stroll through a beautiful forest and see some dinosaurs.
A must stop for especially your little ones. We came around a bend on the highway and there it was, what a great location it’s quite and feels secluded. It feels like your walking with the dinosaurs, lots of ferns and lush plants everywhere. A must Do for sure...
This was more for kids but I had fun going through it. The gift store is really neat and has lots of interesting things.
It was fun to see the dinosaurs and the plant and learning about them. It's not that bad of a hike around it. Great place to take the kids!
Such a pleasant surprise! The trail through the forest itself is beautiful and dinsoaurs are awesome. Definitely worth taking the time to stop by if you're in the area.
Everything could use a new coat of paint and the prices in the gift shop or a little steep but beyond that really cool got to stop if you're going by.
Dog friendly and stroller friendly. Reasonably priced. At the time of this review, adults were $12, children were $8.
This reminds me of all the tourist stops of Route 66 when I was a kid and Mom and Dad through us in the station wagon and we road tripped for a week. This place a really run down for a long time but it looks like it is making some upgrades, the Dinos are painted now and have been repaired and look really good now. $12 for adults and $8 for kids is not bad at all. I am really happy this place is making a come back and it was worth it to see it in a whole lot better shape from when I visited about 15 years ago.
Our kids loved this trail and reading about the different dinosaurs. The plants were beautiful and it was a really fun, unique experience. I took one star off because I do think it's a little bit overpriced, but for our family we still thought it was worth it!
This is a super neat roadside attraction! The staff is super nice, the gift shop is cute, I was unable to go through the garden this visit but I plan to when I am in the area next year.
Stopped here on a motorcycle ride, and enjoyed our visit. Couldn't help but be reminded of a Tom Robbins book I read.
Kinda cool for the littles, mostly no frills static displays. Gift shop girls were super friendly
Very fun. Took about 15 minutes to walk through the path of life like dinosaurs, has a little shop at the end to buy souvineers.
Beautiful lush walk / trail through the woods. The kids love it, quite peaceful in September. Small but easy to linger and soak in the environment. Nice gift shop.
Very informative about a few dinosaurs, as well as ancient plant life. Beautiful scenery. Exhibits are flaking and could stand to be renovated.
I Love this place!!! I have been stopping here since I was 5yrs old Im 38 now and take my son here. It's a get place to enjoy the beautiful forest stretch your legs and just enjoy your vacation. It's one of the places you will always remember not because its state of the art animatronics but because of the lack of , It fun just walking around and having the kids use their imagination looking at the life size dinosaurs. If you can stop here then I highly suggest it.
It was a fun break on our road trip to stretch our legs. Young kids would definitely appreciate walk through it to break up a long ride. Reasonable price as well.
Very enjoyable for our two little kids. You can go through in 30 mins if you want. The life-like size of prehistoric animals makes this stop worth.
Perfect little dino roadside exhibit and a great place to stretch your legs
This place is beautiful, such a great exploration for the entire family. Have been a few times, and it's wonderful.
A delightful roadside attraction. A nice walk through the past. Both the ancient past of the days of the dinosaurs and the recent past of roadside stops that dotted America's highways. A must visit as you're driving along the Southern Oregon Coast.
If you have children, or you're a kid at heart, go see the dinosaurs! The owner is awesome, great to chat with. Had drove by it for years, glad i finally stopped and checked it out.
Great place for young ones to learn about prehistoric dinosaurs
It was super cute but for $12 an adult was kinda steep.
This place needs no talking up!!!!! The kids loved it and I was taken back to my childhood
We didn't pay to go into the park, but had a great time taking a few pics in the parking lot and letting the kids stretch there legs for a bit. If you pass by be sure to pull over, it's a great break from the drive even if you stay in the parking lot.
Nice and peaceful wandering the gardens. It was like being in Jurassic Park
BEST TIME! We were on a road trip and really wanted to see all the cute little things we could. This was at a perfect time to stretch our legs, and they LET DOGS IN!! They even gave me a poop bag when I had misplaced my roll earlier that day! Really informative and adorable. The woman who runs it is incredibly generous and sweet :)
Wonderful out of the way little gem! Magical and enchanting. Well worth a visit!
Was a fun thing to stop and do on our way along the coast. As adults we breezed through but I can see where kids could spend more time and really get the full experience. Beautiful setting for it and was glad to see they had someone touching up and maintaining their dinosaurs.
An oldie but goodie. This was one of my favorite places to visit as a child and now that I am able to take my own children there makes me love and appreciate it more than ever. The look on their faces when we see T-rex in the parking lot is priceless
It's a fun walk with cool life sized dinosaurs. The only thing larger than the dinosaurs here is the price. Very spendy for a self guided tour. For us it was worth it but to some it may be too much for what you you get.
Loved it. Beautiful gardens
Cool little hidden spot. Beautiful property. Fun dinosaurs and fun facts.
Fun place with kids. A bit expensive for the short 15 minutes it takes for the tour but still enjoyed
Loved seeing the amazing work that went into placing these dinosaurs in the rain forest. Such beautiful vegetation and the sculptures of the dinosaurs are done very well, very impressed.
Going back this summer with my grandson.
A neat place , kids loved it
Kids loved it, these dinosaurs were huge and good detail! It was a lot of fun.
Really nothing to exciting.
..what a gem. Step back in time when things were so simple... my 11 year old grandson loved this place.
Was a great place to visit
A little $$ but worth it for your kids if they like dino's.
My kid loved it here it's really cool to see how big the dinosaurs are compared to us
A vary cool surprise!
My kid loves this place
Great my kid is still talking about how much fun he had.
Great place to stop with the kids on 101
This place was awesome, it felt like Jurassic Park, but without being eaten.
Super friendly people here!! Driving Thu from Arizona. Lidiapetunia@youtube
Really cool. Kids had a good time
So much cooler than I thought it would be, such a good walk we did it twice. Kids loved seeing the Dino's. I enjoyed the forest. Great spot to get out of the car on a long drive. Right on the highway.
Drove 2 hours to visit and were told no dogs anymore. Waste of time. Update your website.
Very cool Roadside Attraction!
So glad we stopped! We saw dinasour and took our chance and it was damn worth it. For two adults its just shy of $25 for the tour but both the dinosaurs and plants make every penny worth it. The lady that ran it was super nice too. She also has a really cool gift shop with a bunch of cool stuff in it. 100% would go back.
We always stop here when we ride down the coast. Never actually been in to see the dinosaurs but it's a nice gift shop with quick snacks and drinks if you need them.
This place is pretty cool. It's a nice little walk (maybe a 1/4 mile). They have some amazing facts about plant life and dinosaurs.
Fun roadside attraction.
This attraction was cooler than I expected. It was a simple walk through the forest, with several dinosaurs placed throughout. The walk was easy, the attractions were well placed. They only reason that I did not give 5 stars was the price. 12 bucks per person was a little pricey. If you are in the area, stop in it is worth it.
Awesome place to visit.
My daughters (ages 8 & 7) loved walking through the forest and seeing the realistic looking dinosaurs. Nice little stop right off the highway.
Preceding Jurassic Park this place provides adults and children with great fun and entertainment without roller coasters sound effects or high-priced trinkets. Take a walk in the rainforest and look at all the prehistoric creatures and tell your friends. I have been experiencing this particular Park all of my life and everyone who I have sat here has enjoyed it.
Great place! Fun for the kids that love dinosaurs!
Very cool place !! Definitely worth the easy walk around the park and the park admission.
Went as a child and took my child this year, brought back a lot of memory's.
Is nice place to come with kids but way too pricey for such small park.. $50 for 4 kids and 2 adults it's just outrageous to have a 10min walk in the smal park.. at least have some more activities
Interesting little roadside attraction-all the prehistoric statues looked great. Fun little gift shop.
Impressive old growth hike with bonus for the kids. Well managed. Good presentation of information.
Fun place! A little pricey but still fun and neat things to see
It was just my husband and i but we had a great time, i am currently expecting so will definitely be coming back! Thank you from the Howells in Montana
For sure for littler kids. Not really worth the money but it was a good walk.
They need to really trim their bushes and trees from the signs and dinosaurs so you can see them. This was the 3rd time I have been there with my grandchildren. I was disappointed. After we paid, the lady was chastising my grandchildren before we could even get started. Their were also 2 dinosaurs missing from the map the kids were given. There also was no discount for veterans.
Boring! Sorry, but it was worst place in Oregon cost to spend money on. Place is very small . one short trail, 10 min to walk through. Sculptures are not a live sized as advertised and are boring. It was another couple with two small kids and you would think for 5 years old child this place may be interesting, but even they were bored and ask to leave. I payed $20 for my self and my son. Be aware if you pay with credit card you’ll be charged more unless you pay cash. Do not recommend .
Odd stop along the 101. Nice wooded area with a trail leading through a path of forest filled with dated dinosaur statues. It was something to do to kill some time but I would not do it again.
My family and I took a trip down here from Coos Bay and really enjoyed it. They have done a great job of making it an exciting place to check out.
It was a very nice time. Fun to see.
This place was easily my favorite stop on my trip. The owner is the most genuinely kind person to constantly answer questions from random strangers. Plus, if you have a child and you drive by this place without stopping here, you are surely missing out on something they will remember. The ocean beaches are beautiful, yes. But how often does a kid get to run through a short tour, while looking at life-size hand made dinosaurs? Take a quick break, stretch your legs, and get some great photos of your kids with giant dinosaurs!
Awsome place to hangout and kill some time, great little highway stop
Tourist trap. My 4 year old son loved it, but he has little to no concept of “getting your money’s worth.” $12 for adults, $8 for children. Maybe a quarter mile walk through some pretty coastal forest with “life” size statues of several dinosaurs. Some old and worn, needing a new coat of paint. At the end of the walk you get corralled into a gift store and that is it for your trip. It needs some other things added to give you and your kids a decent experience. Maybe a “Dino dig” area, a scavenger hunt, something else.
So. Much. Fun. Just a simple, family-run place with a beautiful walk through the woods and life-size dinosaurs! We used to visit when I was a kid and I'm so glad I visited again as an adult.
Not dog friendly anymore, despite what the internet says.
Love this place! The Oregon rainforest with old growth timber, many types of fern and skunk cabbage is beautiful and very peaceful. The dinosaurs fit perfectly into this setting.
Fun! Informative! Great photo op and short walk.
Great for kids
Goofy but worth stopping if you're into kitsch and need to stretch your legs during a long trip. Decent gift shop, restrooms. Kids will love it.
fun for kids and adults alike! these dinosaurs are life sized and so cool looking
It was a fun stop when driving thru Oregon, very relaxed nature walk with amazing dinosaurs tucked in. A bit pricy, but fun
Classic roadside attraction of yesteryear. You just gotta stop and enjoy the beautiful dinosaur creations.
So cool!
Kids loved it, but the short walk doesn't seem worth the price.
Was an awesome place to stop and look around your was cool but no trash and anywhere big minus for me
I saw this on tv's "Strange Inheritances!" Since we were traveling along the coast, I made it part of our "great adventure!" My husband and I, are both in our 60's. We really enjoyed it! It has lovely pathways, in a rainforest setting with lifesize dinosaurs, throughout. There are plaques describing each dinosaur, the plants and the trees. A lovely way to enjoy a beautiful place! The owner is very friendly. Price was very reasonable. A great gift shop, with something for everyone! Glad we made the time!
Good experience and nice stop on a long day of driving, make sure to bring kiddos
Great place to stop, let the kids out and explore and run around all the dinosaurs. Make a wish in the creek. Great for school trips like ours
