Here you will see the feddbacks of real people like you who bought the services and products of Oregon Vortex (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to the state of Oregon.
At present the business has a rating of 4.3 stars over 5 and the rating has been based on 2701 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is really high, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Tourist attraction.
We had the best time here! I can't wait to go again! It did really mess with my Vertigo! I will still go again. Super friendly and fun staff. Really affordable.
This place is okay. If you had a Groupon for it it probably would be worth it. I mean it is cool with all the science stuff. But there's only one building to look at :-( and it's more like a shed. All the instructors sound the same and they're just on autopilot. They're all really cool but they seemed programmed to say the same script over and over. There's nothing original. I was impressed more west of Magna and the copper pipe than anything else. The house did make you dizzy when you walked inside of it and it was cool with the platforms going from short and tall. But I don't think it's worth visiting more than once. I wish there was more to this area. At least more history and how the people were there and how the building slide it over and why they didn't remove it and what they were doing there from the beginning. It's a lot of talking and not a enough good information. It's kind of like explaining something over and over. I was not impressed
Great place to stop with RVs and trailers. Easy parking and plenty of turn around space. Just watch the low clearance at the railroad tracks. There are teacher, military and AAA discounts. Intriguing tour but it’s very similar to the information given at Mystery Spot Santa Cruz.
Something fun to do. Get the right tour guide. We had the guy with the giant beard.
Was a lot of fun and plan to go back again
We had the best time here! I can't wait to go again! It did really mess with my Vertigo! I will still go again. Super friendly and fun staff. Really affordable.
Kids liked it. It's a big magical trick
Fun time! Great tour guide
A very quirky and unique place.
Great people, staff. The place is a little freaky but so entertaining. A must stop and see
Cool guide. Fun experience. Awesome vortex.
Cool place! The tours tell you all about the weird things! Definately worth the drive in!
Very interesting place to visit.
The couple at the desk was delightfull the man doing the tour insulted my wife

Loved it! The tour was very informative and the girl has the perfect humor/attitude. Such an amazing little spot, definitely worth the visit. Nothing better than supporting a local business. Gift shop has some nice trinkets and toys for the kiddos.
.This was awesome and educational. Loved it
It was really close to closing about 15 minutes tell and they got us in just the 2 of us. I'd been there once before like 10 years ago The place did not change the people were way friendlier This time and it was an amazing experience like it was before
I grew up going to the house of mysteries in Montana. I had never been to the Oregon one. After going I realized the sad possibility that this isn't real. They had the EXACT same stories that the Montana sight uses such as "The house is an original mining house that used to sit 10 feet up near the road. Over time it slid down the hill from the gravity" The house and all the tricks inside it were also exactly the same. I think this is just a trick of the eyes by using different land grades to manipulate objects. The staff here was very nice and enthusiastic. I was just bummed that my childhood memories of going to the gravity vortex were ruined. It's just a fun house.
Super wonderful informative staff and a great experience. Make sure you stop here and visit it for your self
I didnt believe anything at first, but I was quickly proven wrong. It's almost scary that is legitimate.
WE MAKE FUN IN NO RE-FUN(D)
Ok couldn't walk around out self that would be nice if we can see it for our self and not a tour guide
OMG! This place was fun and creepy. The tour guide was alot of fun.
It's cool for $5 but for almost $15 a head for 4 stones and a shed it's not really worth the visit enless you're with your 5 year old. As well swarmed with yellow jackets. If your reading this please tell them to at least buy a $3 bee trap or something.
It was okay. 9 and 12 year old were interested, way over my 7 and 3 year olds head. Seemed a little pricey.
I went there when I was about 11 or12.with a church group I remember the ping pong balls rolling up hill and the waterfall going up hill and trying to stand up strait it the shack on the hill I was pretty amazed but I haven't been there sense so i really can't say beyond my childhood experiences but my memory of it is pretty clear and i loved it the thing that impressed me most i think is when someone was standing about 15or20 feet from another person in this one area were they had two beams with measurements on them one person would be real tall and the other end the other person would be real short and as they move toward each other they would change in size by the time they reached each other they looked normal then they would proceed to the opposite sides of were they were and the short person was now the tall person and vice versa pretty mind blowing at least back then
Super cool and fun.
Oregon vortex is a trippy place!! reminds me of the mystery spot in Santa Cruz. They claim they are the biggest known vortex in the country. pretty interesting stuff check it out if ur in the area. if you are short they can make you taller .
Fun time yes it's a roadside stop. Don't overthink it, go have fun. Plus this is one of the places that inspired Gravity Falls!

Sad to see that they use trick levels that are warped to falsify results, there are some interesting things there but a lot of blatant lies and optical illusions. Claims that the building was built in the late 1800s to early 1900s but it is constructed with more modern tooling and hardware. Disappointed and I want the 26 bucks I paid for my girlfriend and I's entry back to be honest. I had a feeling it would be a scam of sorts but was well done, scripted sounding tour had some seriously painful knee slappers. Interesting place all in all, could feel the supposed pull they reference before I read the signs talking about it or heard about it. So that was a plus, only reason for 2 stars, the trick levels and whatnot definitely left a bad taste in my mouth though.
Good little place to bring the kids and get them thinking. Walking tour that takes about an hour, so bring water.
It's alright probably better if we had a better guide
Just left. We were last tour of the day. Tour guide Bailey did great and very patient with us..my kids were all over the place. Great experience. Glad we made it in time before they closed. Well worth
Great experience. Tour guide Jen was very informative. Really enjoyed the experience
Interesting but NOT worth the money
Awesome, unexplainable, a must visit, pay attention to your guide. Yes, I will be visiting again.
A good fun road side attraction. The "science" they use is questionable but if you are willing to suspend your disbelief for 45 min the tour is enjoyable. Much of the tour us spent measuring people's sizes along certain spans. They encourage you to bring your own level and plumb bob. Also a must see for Gravity Falls fans.
This place has a weird feeling about it. Check it out people! Well worth the admission price ☺️
Always a fun adventure.
Definitely worth it if you're nearby. I think my brain started auto correcting because I stopped seeing it after the first demonstration place.
Really cool place to visit. The staff at the front were very friendly and the tour guide was a lot of fun. Definitely worth a visit if you are a fan of gravity falls.
Easy drive from I-5. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Be prepared to participate in the tour and bring bug spray during Summer months. Bathrooms are port-a-potties but not the worst we've encountered.
Fascinating and strange phenomena! Strongly recommend!
Super fun! Def recommend!
Intriguing sciency stuff. Demonstrations right before your eyes. Feel the rotation if the earth and watch as people shrink and grow just by trading places. Get taller going down hill...whaaaaat???
The tour guide had us chuckling the whole time. Definitely a fun experience.
Great experience to feel the vortex, the house is very interesting along with the various test that can be very interesting to witness. And there is a penny presser that makes perfect penny pressings.
Easy drive from I-5. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Be prepared to participate in the tour and bring bug spray during Summer months. Bathrooms are port-a-potties but not the worst we've encountered.
Friendly staff. It's a tourist trap that uses perspectives and basic science to trick your mind. It's off the beaten path, but a good time if you need something to do for a few hours.
So much fun very interesting and great history behind the place
Not much parking but not super busy either. Lots of weird fun.
I love this place, and I find it absolutely fascinating and fun for all. I have been visiting the Vortex since 1971, and every time my grandchildren come to visit, they all beg to see it again. The tour guides make it fun for everyone. Be sure to get lots of photos when you go--if you take your photos standing from dead center of each demonstration, you can actually put your photos up on your computer monitor, grab a ruler, and literally prove that the Vortex makes you "grow and shrink" because if you measure yourself in your photos, there will be a measurable difference in your height, relative to yourself.
This was a really neat place to visit! It was a lot of fun. The tour guide was great and had a lot of energy and was quite the comedian. She did a amazing job at answering the many questions and comically "hushing" the nay-sayers. All the while, explaining pretty complex scientific explanations with ease. Also, I want to highlight the extra mile the staff went. I was stung by a wasp (!!) at the end of our visit. Not only did the staff go out of their way to give me salve for the sting and also very kindly gave me a water bottle for the trouble, they did so after they had closed and with a welcoming smile on each person's face! It was a very kind gesture and I greatly appreciated it! We will absolutely visit again and have been spreading the word of not only how fun it is, but also how amazing the staff are.
Staff are fun and knowledgable. Awesome for the kids. Ok for adults too. Take pics. Worth the drive.
Great place to go kill an hour or two. Some reviews go on and on about how the science behind this place is pathetic or lacking. Don't look at this place as a "logical" place. Look at it as a place to go and have fun. The tour guide was entertaining and funny. Our group enjoyed ourselves a lot while we were here. I'm sure if you wanted to pick this place apart like other reviews did, you could. But, just get in touch with your inner child again and have a good time here. It's inexpensive and enjoyable.
Such a neat experience and the drive was so pretty.
You thought Portland is weird; this place will blow you away.
Interesting place with several optical illusions.
I loved it. Corny, Kitschy, just great
I hate to give a bad review because our tour guide was super nice & friendly & did a good job but I definitely will never be back. I've always been interested in stopping here but it is extremely high price for what you get!!! All they do is walk you to 4 spots one of which is inside an old building & all of this is in a small area, like you don't walk far at all! They try to show you that heights change but I never saw it or felt antything.
Very cool, our guide was fun and I liked feeling the difference between the house of mystery and my everyday surroundings. A lot of unexplainable phenomenons !! Fun for the family
If you think Mercury being in retrograde has any effect on your life, then you'll love this place.
Two theories for the dimension change 1. Optical illusion 2. Body mass compression and extraction Which one to believe??
This place has a unique feeling&setting. Staff was very interesting to listen to and did a good tour. Needed more time to just hang out around the vortex but overall was a good time. The bottle really did roll up hill! So did the water! If this place was invented to make money, they put it in the wrong place.... Just saying. Would be really cool to be able to camp closer or at site.
Stopped here last year on a completely meandering cross-country quest from New York to Oregon and back. We chose to visit on the way down to California after emerging from Crater Lake, and to be honest we were mostly looking for hokey road side fun. HOWEVER, this place far exceeded our expectations, and here we are still thinking about it a year later! Our tour guide (can't remember her name to save my life but I believe she is still there) was AMAZING--very thorough and absolutely hilarious. As promised, she did not break my camera while taking photos of us. A great mix of real science and some spooky phenomena, and well worth the trip!
We had a good guide. Had some fun-learned a thing or 2. Best not to take kids under 3.
Very interesting! Learn about some science and no birds, squirrels and other small animals avoid this area.
kids loved it, fun small stop! would recommend to family's with kids.
pay attention when you visit cause this place features an odd story. If you are into the supernatural, this place is for you. Maybe not quite as odd they would have you believe, but still pretty unique. The strange combination of magnetic forces in the area produces noticable changes to your visual perception. Worth going once..... don't forget to ask for a discount that might apply.
It was a interesting exhibit .
It was an an excellent tour with an awesome guide. I will come again.
Pretty interesting phenomenon...but the price for entrance does not quite seem worth it. There were bugs flying around all over and the guy giving the tour to the group behind us was so loud we could barely hear the girl who was giving my group the tour. She had a unique personality though and made several little jokes along the way. I’m sure it’s not easy to do those presentations over and over again. Still, it’s a neat place to visit once.
It was a dizzying experience to say the least...great place
Everything I expected and alot more. This place is amazing and mysterious. If you ever get a chance I would make every effort to go. Staff was full of facts and made the tour entertaining.
Our guide was fun, animated and very knowledgeable. Made sure to engage everyone in the tour and the demonstrations.
Wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it was a self guided tour, but it's not. It's very cheesy and I honestly didn't see most of the vortex "illusions". I feel like the tour guide just "leads" you into seeing the illusions, just like a magician does. I will say that even though it was very cheesy and the tour guide was over the top, I still give him kudos for his performance. He is good at his job, even if it is rather ridiculous. It's my fault for not doing more research about the place. I've just always heard about the vortex and wanted to see what it was. For me personally, it's not worth it. This is a place I wish I had skipped on my list of places to see.
It was interesting and fun. You can see everything within the area..... your guide does a lot of talking and it's very knowledgeable and it's interesting. I think it's a little overpriced
Seems kids woul be fooled
Fun & Interesting phenomena!
IT’S THE REAL LIFE MYSTERY SHACK. I’ve never been but it seems great
Always a good visit. I have been here several times. The tour guides are knowledgeable and fun. I can't tell you if everything is explainable here, but I can tell you that some of what happens is very curious
Interesting place. Definitely some unexplained things. Fun for adults and kids. Nice little tour. Then try a few things on your own.
So cool! Interesting and trippy. Our guide, Joe, was awesome!
Took my kids there in June 2019. My youngest son loved the broom balancing.
This is a fun touristy spot. Take the tour, its what makes this place worth it. The guides have been doing this for years and have got their script down. They know how best to make you scratch your head. It's a long drive up the hill and there isn't a lot of parking, but the drive is beautiful and the destination fun & serene. If your kids like Gravity Falls this is the closest thing you can get to the real thing (a Mystery Shack in Oregon).
Great strange place...the guide was great really got in to....check it out
Wow, crazy as all get out. Be sure you read up on some of the facts before you go. This place is one of 61 of its kind and is one of the largest in the world. It spreads over an acre and a half and is full of amazement! The pictures show some detail but you have to see it to get the full grasp of it all. A person standing on one side of an area appears much smaller when they move to the opposite side. The trip is guided and the science behind all of it is explained along the way. Very well worth the $12.50 entry fee, children 12 and under and seniors are two dollars less. Check this place out!!
Fun to experience, but be aware that I can be dizzy and stuff. Staff is very friendly. Bathroom is stinky..
My kids thought it was amazing that a broom could stand up all by itself!
The vortex was awesome! The tour guide was very knowledgeable! Must see to believe! Gravity Fall fans too!
What an amazing experience! A must see!
Awesome place to go see
Fun, funky, off-the-road tour
beautiful place with a fun tour
I think we would have had a blast, but our tour guide talked way too fast with way too many corny jokes. It was quite interesting though. There is definitely something to it.
Everyone should visit this place there are so many things and great stories and the tour guide she was awesome and very entertaining you will not be disappointed visiting the house of Mystery
All in all it's neat, great for kids and a fun I5 stop. First time I went 15 yrs ago my mind was blown how the laws of physics were different here. Now as an adult I was a bit under whelmed. As an adult I'm now aware of other locations with better displays. Most demonstrations were very repetitive, the property & facility are run down & the gift could use better options.
Great fun! Some of the narrations are long winded but still fun!
Fun. Weird. But fun. Don't expect to see a real vortex but expect to enjoy some weird, and yes hard to explain, phenomenon. Staff were really nice. Only suggestion is to have a half tour for hot days. An hour-long voyage into the vortex on a hot day can be pretty taxing. That being said it's definitely fun. Kids will especially love it imo. Probably best for kids aged 5/6-12/13.
Its amazing I got confused by how they tricked my mind
honestly, that Bill Cypher statuue and that tilted shack reminded me of gravity falls, and the shack was from weirdmogeddon
A fun, trippy experience appropriate for all ages. Great for groups or solo travelers. The gift shop seemed to be running a little low on items when I visited toward the end of the session, but otherwise it was a lot of fun! Friendly staff. Beautiful setting up a canyon. I found myself saying "Noooo! What??" a lot. If you're a fan of Gravity Falls, you should definitely stop in, but even if you're not, it's worth the price of admission just to watch skeptics struggle with what they're seeing.
Had a really nice time with my family here. Enjoyed the unique experiences. The guide was awesome! Crazy stuff here man...
Interesting but small. Would like a little more hiking or panning for gold experience. Laura was great though!!
Mind bogglingly awesome. It's a very strange experience, in a good way. Bring water, sunscreen, and some spare change to buy some nice souvenirs.
Always a good visit. I have been here several times. The tour guides are knowledgeable and fun. I can't tell you if everything is explainable here, but I can tell you that some of what happens is very curious
You can feel it from there freeway sign.
Fun tour. Guide is a hoot
Wow. Really looked forward to going to this place . It was truly mind blowing how something's happend . Planning a trip again. Like rode trip to get there but it's awesome
It is about 1 hour tour.make sure you take enough pictures because otherwise you don't have a chance for that. lots of explanation (most bla bla bla and not sure how accurate are those) and demonstrations. They try to show us a height difference of two people in the, one is in the vortex boundary and other person is out side. but for me I didn't see such thing. Most of the constructions over there is tilted so I felt its a optical illusion. needs some careful investigation and reading.
Pretty cool place! I took some interesting photos. Also got me a really cool necklace of A vortex
What an amazing experience!!
The history was so interesting
Super fun place to visit if you are nearby. Great tours.
interesting. they're the "original" . experience similar to Santa Cruz mystery spot
Super fun little excursion on our vacation. The teenagers loved it but the 5 year old thought it was boring.
Like Leanne Simmons, I didn’t enjoy this place. It’s overpriced, just not worth it. They should charge only 5 bucks. Waste of time and money. I do believe it and I felt pressure in my head but even the shop they have is pathetic. It’s for kids and naive people. It is silly.
Fun effects but the tour was pretty drawn out
Interesting place. Definitely some unexplained things. Fun for adults and kids. Nice little tour. Then try a few things on your own.
HORRIBLE. Didn’t give any warnings you were going to be nauseous or dizzy. The tour guide with lime green hair was akward. My family was visiting from Mexico, didn’t understand English the tour guide had them go and they were made fun of. It was 30 minutes and we paid $70. Not worth at all! All we saw was a crooked house. Please don’t waste your money here. Enchanted forest is much better!
I have wanted to visit this place for years and was not disappointed. I'm sure it is all optical illusions but there's some stuff I have trouble explaining. Tour guide was amazing and informative. Blonde lady, I don't remember her name.
It's a great place to go but if you have a pacemaker be wary it will mess it up but other than that yall should go the host is really good at their job
Pretty fun. Not recommended for 5yr olds.
Super awesome fun fornthe whole family, staff were extremely informative and knowledgeable.
You crushed my childhood dreams
Nice stop on a road trip to stretch your legs and go on an interesting tour. A little pricey for a 45 minute tour. If you have AAA they offer a 10% discount and additional discount for military, police, emergency responders, and fire fighters.
Yup. Completed one bucket list item. Very enthusiastic staff. Great information. Weird experience...I mean the ball rolls UPHILL!
Amazing place! It's 4 hours to drive one way and I've been here 3 times!...& I'll be back again someday.
Fun! It's a throwback to PT Barnum style entertainment. The anomalies are presented in a fun way, and the slanting house is pretty neat. Not super cheap, but it was the perfect way to break up a long road trip say with the wife and kid.
Awesome place to check out, very friendly staff. Worth going to at least once!!!
Always a great time and lucky to have a charismatic guide, that can make all the difference on your experience.
Half the fun is guessing who in your tour group are suckers for this stuff. The other half of the fun is pretending to go along with it to make the other skeptics in the group doubt themselves. The tour guide is almost convincing because she uses pseudoscience to explain what you observe, combined with a strong dose of peer pressure, but all of it can be attributed to poor experimental setups and optical illusion. The part that made me rage a little was when she talked about "the theory of mass change" to explain why someone appears taller or shorter
Great place to take kids, just be sure you bring enough cash. At $13.50 for Adults the experience can get pricey. But the fun of walking in a magnetic vortex where plumb level creates an off kilter building project is worth it
Tour is too long, but still a neat place
Very cool! Great tour.
Guide was funny and nice. Made the whole visit better. He was great , made my girlfriend grow 4 in. . . I shrank 4 in. . .
Good place to see. Great for the whole family. Beautiful surrounding area. Worth the trip off the free brother.
They do a good job making you want to believe in the "vortex". Even if you are a skeptic it's still fun to go and hear the pitch and watch how easily your mind if fooled! Just go with it and have some fun. Well worth the visit.
Pretty cool place. Had a great time! Will return when family visits
Interestingly this vortex is in many places and states... gravitational disruptive convex of forces turning natural law upside down...Got unusual pictures...Science lovers and average Joe's go there... Will stimulate your senses... Something there makes you feel off center and alittle dizzy...People with vertigo or epelipcy beware...I know the answer, but won't tell you...Go...
Very informative, lots of fun for the kids and the tour is about an hour.
No a huge fan of having it be a guided tour, given the small area to explore with a large group of other visitors cramped together. Smaller group sizes would help. But pretty cool stuff to experience in person. :)
It's much smaller than we thought it would be. The gift shop is tiny, the bathrooms are portable outhouses. AND the actual house is not wheelchair accessible...which they told us AFTER we paid to get in.
Wickedly awesome and kinda creepy lol
Interesting weird place, loved our guide!
Have wanted to go here for years. Young guide was quite good. The effects were amazing and I still don't understand
Very cool, weird little place.
Excellent guides and an amazing phenomena! Defies explanation!
I'm not very much of a sceptic, so discredit this as much as you would like, but there's a lot of things that I don't understand about the world, and I am willing to believe that there is certainly something inexplicable about this location. I would come here again, but a travelers tip! Stay hydrated and if you start to feel ill, it is wise to sit and rest rather than pushing yourself too far. BE AWARE OF YOUR BODY! SELF CARE IS IMPORTANT!
Very interesting.. Total vertigo! Loved it!
I need to see the statue but peoplr say they already located it at dallas i think
Friendly staff and alot of great science and wonder all mixed into one. Going back soon. Dont want to wait another 16 years.
Awesome demonstration and had a fun time, highly suggest!
Good informative experience. A bit of a short tour though. We have been to a couple similar but apparently not exactly the same. Fun break in the trip home.
Pretty cool!
Super informative tour. Lots to see & participate in.
Strange energies at work hear definitely recommend checking out for yourself brought the kids over all great experience
It's a small shack with a 45 min - 1 hour tour provided. The tour is very detailed and the tour guide made it fun and interesting. If you like optical illusions this will be fun for you as things don't appear as they are. Make sure to take pictures where the guide tells you to get the best angle to make the illusions work.
Great fun w the family
Truly a mystery for such a reasonable price. We took a group of 11 people. The guides here are great.
The instructor was very friendly and was ultimately something i would love to do when my daughter is old enough to understand a little better! Lol
Great place and nice tour guides who try to include everyone in the tour
It was great to know the oddities of this planet.
It was alright. Kinda cool but a little boring. Guide sounded so rehearsed and "canned" it got old really fast.
It was a great time there the tours are awesome and would come back any time
Great place to take kids, just be sure you bring enough cash. At $13.50 for Adults the experience can get pricey. But the fun of walking in a magnetic vortex where plumb level creates an off kilter building project is worth it
Very informative and interesting tour. Worth the fee.
Well worth the time to visit. Amazing earth we live on! It's a Must See!!!
Just a fun place to visit at least once. Kinda like a classic roadside attraction but a little bit of a drive to it. Kitschy, silly, and a lot of fun.
It's kitsch! It's cool! It cannot be explained...
Guide was great. Very interesting place to see...
It was well worth the trip. Our tour guide made it a blast. You won't be upset by the experience.
Super neat place. Awesome tour where they explain the weird stuff. A lot of fun. You think you can explain it, and then you realize some of it is just flat out weird. Kind of far out of the way, but totally worth it.
