This Tourist Attraction is classified in the category of National forest.
Perfect place to bring your quad or side by side.
What can I say...it's absolutely beautiful here!
Cool dune area with great camping and OHV trails. Be careful of you go out on the sand. Four wheel drive with large tires is necessary. Turning off traction control will make it easier to navigate, but you have to commit... Driving full throttle is important, and expect the vehicle to disregard steering input most of the time.If you slow down in the soft sand, you may not be able to get started again.
Always great to come here
Been going here since I was a child. Lots of dunes ranging from inexperienced to very difficult. Great place to ride the dunes all day, then walk the beach with that special someone at sunset!
Had so much fun. Can't wait to go back next year.
Road super bumpy and not maintained. Worth the terrible road to walk out on this long beach that nobody else was on. Saw an Eagle right away on beach. Too bad all the beaches are super log covered right now. We also hiked some of the trails. They were nice, dogs really loved it!!
Great time with Sandland Adventures. Great Guides.
Always my favorite place to go watch out for razorbacks though
LOVE this place. We go here EVERY year! We love cruising up & down the beach and searching for shells. (Best time to go is when the tide is going out) only thing is.. I wish the Dune at South Jetty wasnt so hard to get back over.
Nice hike through the dunes. Bring water
Great place for a whole day of fun! You can bring your own off road vehicles or rent some to use! Family friendly and would recommend for ages 8 and up
A great experience for the entire family, as long as all the family are in relatively good health. A great landmark on the Pacific Northwest coast. Play harder, but be safer.
Dunefest was a blast. Great riding place
It was awesome!! I had so much fun. We even pulled somebody out when they got stuck. The feeling of coming over the top of the dune to see the ocean was phenomenal
Weather has been perfect for riding this spring. Gary and his family are very friendly and helpful at 3rd beach Winchester Bay Oregon
Loved having fun, the hq visitor center wasn't open on the weekends...?
Loved it there. Great place for riding
It was awesome. Just expect to help other people if needed.
Went on a short hike in the dunes. Also enjoyed the ATV experience. I would do both again.
Beautiful place. Great for family, friends and solo events. More than just off road riding and atvs. Beach access. Hiking Fishing Swimming Camping and more. Over ran by side-by-sides.
Bring a jacket, the wind is gonna get you. The sand dunes are a lot of fun, especially if you get someone to drive the buggies cuz they know what they're doing, and they will show you a good time. Overall, it's quite a drive out to the dunes, but well worth it.
Sit high on the dunes and enjoy the sunset!
Spectacular!!! So much fun that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much!
Beautiful park. Well maintained. Surf fishing. Off road vehicle adventures. Beachfront horseback riding. Nice campsites.
The Dunes are managed for multiple use so there is lots of noise and action if you choose to go out in a dune buggy. I didn't. So you have to go a ways to find the natural areas where peace and quiet are found. If you do, it is a remarkable place. The physics of the dunes is amazingly complex so find a good ranger tour to learn more
The dunes here are so much fun to ride. Wind came up one after noon an smoothed it .
Beautiful! Even with the hike to the beach! So much fun!
If you're like me hike past all the people and go out into the dunes. It's a little tough walking up the sandy dunes, but worth the feeling of being secluded and being on another continent. Also keep an eye out for dune buggies.
Same fun as always, heads up theres a little bit of sand here.
Super awesome place to go have fun riding. I cant wait till I go back again.
Best hidden gem along the coast.
A fantastic place to come ride your off road vehicles.
It was great... a nice place to walk in the sand... nice hills too... beach on ghd other side.. it's great... you'll be glad to visited...
Beautiful unique area. Always something new to learn about and enjoy. Don't overlook this gem.
One of my favorite places to play.
Love riding these dunes
Been going here for a long time first time back it so different
You can bring your own off road vehicles or rent some to use! Family friendly and would recommend for ages 8 and up
quiet, peaceful, beautiful...an unknown gem on the Oregon coast
So pretty perfect for dune buggy riding.
Cool service! Employees on the ball..
Best place to take buggies and have a great time. Enjoy life and make a few more friends. Amarica at it's best don't F..it up please. Be smart watch out for the drop offs and other folks out in the trails. Thanks
Way way tomuch fun want to go back
A lot of space for camping and sand dunes fun!
Come on ppl!! Sand is the best place to let it all go. Come have a blast! Like hot August nights on the sand!!!!
Great place to visit. Wish i could live there
Nice beach primitive camping!
The buggy ride from sandland is pretty darn good man, if your are rich and famous do the faster ones but the big buggy was still loads of fun.
Riding dirty rentals is the best Winchester bay oregon
Went clamming in the jetty and what a beautiful place! Can't go wrong on the Oregon coast
The dunes is not only amazingly beautiful but the recreational aspect if you like ATVs is the best.
Awesome loved suggest anything my dad made it with a 8 thousand pound tahoe just need to know how to drive it
Very cool experience that shouldn't be missed
Always enjoy our selves here.
Wonderful place to ride. Very busy but beautiful views!
Beautiful clean and well groomed unique trail make for a fun adventure. There are cut-outs from the trailhead with shaded picnic tables. It's a hike to the beach. It would be tough to haul a cooler and equipment from this spot.
Miles of beautiful soft sand. We visited the Horsfall day use picnic area. There was a hillside by the picnic tables that led up to more dunes. The dunes were great, but beware that people let their dogs poop on them and we found a few surprises
Beautiful beach, dogs allowed, nearby campsites, extremely relaxing we didnt want to leave.
I was impressed with everyone giving you hand signals of how many people were behind them. Great trip.
LOVED it. My wife and I Had so much fun camping and playing with our jeep here, cant wait for the next trip.
You have been then you are missing out. Go there and rent a ATV for the day, you won't be sorry. Remember to follow all the rules, wear your helmet and be safe.
One of the most unique hiking experiences in Oregon. Remember to read the signs and keep off the beach vegetation while the Snowy Plovers are nesting.
This is definitely a beautiful area. I spent almost three hours here with a group of friends, and we really enjoyed both the hike out to the beach and the beach itself. Easy to find, easy to access, and quite enjoyable.
We came here on a weekday at 6:30 pm. No one else on the beach. Enjoyed the views, sun and sand. One of our favorite places during our road trip through the pacific northwest. Highly recommended - especially for families.
One of the few fun places around. Enjoy a weekend here renting ATVs you won't regret it.
used day use area/no overnight camping
Had a great time. One person in our group needed to run dialysis at night and the host let them hook up to their electricity, no charge. Also moved our camp sites for us as a group when the row we'd booked ended up in standing water thanks to a few weeks of rain prior; very accomodating! The campsites are dry hookup, no water, sewer, or electric; but you can have campfires. Big group sites are available, book ahead of time. Easy dune access. Sites have some trees between, for the illusion of privacy. Made for a serene time at camp, while the dunes were as fun to ride as ever.
Loved the dunes. So much fun
Even if you just hike out to experience the edge of the dunes, its an otherworldly place, like you're in the middle of the Sahara! I recommend renting an ATV or buggy to really experience the place, but even walking to its edge was worth it. I don't think I'd want to hike across the entire dunes to the beach because its literally like walking on beach sand and HOT!
Lots of trails and tress to play around. Easy access to sand.
Really cool place to atv around. I had a lot of fun exploring the dunes. They can be deceptively steep so be careful.
Wow, again just more gorgeous scenic unspoiled views along Oregon's coastline. The dunes are beautiful, and so worth the stop along the coastline. I know I read that this place can get busy during the season, but it was quiet while we were there. I hear this is a fun place for ATV rentals, so be safe out there kids. Sounds like it could be a blast, but don't be like Grandma Dynamite and break your coccyx.
Awesome scenery. We climbed one of the dunes to get to the ocean and walk along the beach. Beautiful hard packed beach by the water. Got my feet wet in the Pacific ocean. I am 71 and my husband is 72. We are from Michigan. We had a wonderful day.
Great place for the family to have fun together.
Friendly, informative, easy. The Dunes themselves were awesome for some early spring camping near the beach.
Great 4x4 area had soo much fun and definitely the most beautiful trip up.
One of his creation, Best for human eyes.
Miles of sand, bring your own snatch block and winch otherwise you'll pay a ton to get yourself unstuck.
Wonderful hike in the dune to the beach
It is a fantastic place to bring the family.
The boys in my family went crabbing on a dock and the girls went to a nice Sandy spot and we built sandcastles.
This place is beautiful and relaxing, also a great place to fly a kite. Parking was easy and just a short walk to the beach.
ATV fun! So many trails.
This place was a nice one to take the dirt bikes, the 90s, the 450, our side by sides! It worked out well for our entire family to ride.... most everyone that we came in contact with seemed to be respectful of other riders. I was impressed with the entire atmosphere here.
Great place to ride quads
Great place to visit and ride quads!
Fun place rented from Spinreel rentals great people there always take great care of us quality vehicles
Beautiful area to visit but it's not so easy to get to the beach. One has to climb dunes that can be quite a struggle to get there. This isn't the parks fault but just is. Still worth the visit :-)
Great place!! Dunes are amazing. So much sand!
Awesome place to camp and ride.
Always a fun time at the dunes! Remember you need an ATV license out there, and to watch for other people. Most accidents occur due to head on collisions from not seeing the other person
Huge dunes to climb and ride on. Access to the ocean too.
Awesome place to go play out in the sand. Easy access. We took three suv's out on the sand. Two were pretty much stock other then tires, the other one was pretty built. But it was a great day.
Best place to unwind from a long work week
Great riding place...great views
Excellent vacation but campsites are very cramped
One of a kind sand dunes/ trails, miles of sand, and wildlife to explore on your off road vehicle of choice.
Large wide open space to play just wish people would pick up after themselves when they are done camping on the sand
Very cool. It was one of my favorite memories of the PNW. Absolutely breathtaking views. Looking forward to coming back and riding a dune buggy. Overall peaceful and scerene.
So much sand! What fun?
Love the dunes! So much fun!
Such a beautiful area!
Bigger dunes. Only issue is you really have to be on guard the clowns from sand dune frontier have no regard for the other people on the sand to get the wow factor to their tourists so watch out for those 4 seater rails full of out of staters with cameras.
Nice beach. Easy to get around all the ATV traffic. Lovely. Good fishing. Soft sand.
Clean bathrooms! Love the ocean! Perfect Dunes riding and Jeep'in weather!
Had a great time ATVing at the dunes. So much fun and definitely a must do if you’re in the area. We went as a large group (30ish people) and had an absolute blast. The dunes are even fun if you’re not ATVing. Running around in the sand and enjoying this unique view is very fun. Highly recommend it.
Great place to ride it's a shame that there moving the buffers and reducing the riding area again but still had a good time
Dunes were high and low. Stay to the low side to learn the course, then drop in the high side for a roller coaster feeling! Whole family had a blast!!!
Fun great dunes ocean 2 miles
The sand dunes are great. The RV camp is good too. Everyone is so ftiendly. Good custumer service.
The route is marked but one or two markers can be missing so be sure to scan the entire area. Also, walking in the sand is slower and it will take longer to cover the distance. Plan accordingly.
super easy access to dunes. Lots of campsites to choose from. Not to far south of Florence. Perfect really
Such an amazing place to offroad ride! We've rode these dunes a few times now and love it! We ride quads ans a Meyers Manx dune buggy. We don't do any kind of crazy riding, just fun stuff. The Oregon Dunes don't have as much severe terrain as say Glamis or Buttercup in Yuma, but its great for damily fun riding. You can even camp in the dunes with your RV with your state permit, or camp at the KOA (Oregon Dunes KOA Holiday). You can even follow the trails to the beach and ride there too! Such a beautiful place! Don't forget to get your Oregon Offroad license AND buy a permit for each of your toys! Have fun!
If you have ATV's or OHV's you will be in HOG HEAVEN!
Great unique place to visit. If you are adventurous, you must do the screaming wild dune buggy ride.
Sooo much fun. Price a little steep but worth it....
Best dunes in the west coast! My family and I have been visiting these dunes since I was a toddler! Beat time ever family fun!
We used to visit yearly from 1998-2010, and with this being our first time back out in nine years, it feels great! There's lots of great trails & dunes to explore. Docking a star since more trails & sections are restricted than before.
An amazing experience hiking through the sand dunes, I would highly recommend you make it all the way over to the coast as it is not that easily accessible and there are tons of intact shells and such things.
Super fun, the dunes are spectacular, and driving along the beaches. Yes! All of the staff was super informative and treated us well, we had a good understanding of what to expect out on the dunes!
OMG!!! Fantastic place!!!Lots of staging areas if you are staying off the dunes at a hotel or motel..
Jesse T Jones oddfellows park! We love this place. Join the Oddfellows!
I love the Dunes in North Bend..we go several times every year!! Love the KOA Campground!!
Beautiful views, even with high serf alert.
Awesome place to ride and has a ton of lakes near by if you are into that as well
Just a great place for family's to just destress!!
Gotta love some sand dunes! This place was a nice one to take the dirt bikes, the 90s, the 450, our side by sides! It worked out well for our entire family to ride.... most everyone that we came in contact with seemed to be respectful of other riders. I was impressed with the entire atmosphere here. Made for a great day of enjoyable riding!
Awesome place! Beautiful dunes.
Watched some ATVers. The dunes were very cool as was the surrounding plant life.
Great time! People are all nice... The law enforcement are on point! Make sure you are fully legal! From ORV tags to dune flags and speed. They will pinch ya!
Relaxing place for yourself or your family I love coming here
awesome dunes and big park. great riding area.
Awesome dunes to ride!
This is a lot of fun for the whole family! Be safe!
Best place to be for nature meets machine
Love to hike around the dunes.
Fun, Sandy, wide-open area with the crashing waves right next to you! Kids rolling down in the sand... a nice breeze going by. Aaaaaahh!!
Great place for dinner riding!
A great stop for lots of walking and enjoying the sand.
So much fun out here. Lots of places to ride can’t wait to go again
If you want to have the experience how it is in the desert, this is a must do. We were there on a hot day without clouds. We felt the wind, the blazing sun and walked through the sand. It is very exhausting to walk up the dunes because after every step you slip down again. After half an hour you sweat and empty your water bottle. The landscape is gorgeous. You can see the ocean in the distance in front of you and the forest in the back. You don't have to exactly follow the trail. This enhances your experience being somewhat lost in the desert. The shape of the scenery makes this even easier because if you go down a dune you will loose the sight of the wooden posts which are marking the trail. The beach finally comes as great reward. I definitely do not want to have go back to the parking in the dark...
Been going here my whole life for vacation.love this place.
Cool site, it’s a great spot for dune buggies and short walks. If it’s windy I wouldn’t advise walking for too long along the beaches, you get a lot of sand blown at you! Nice stop to see nature while exploring Florence.
Very cool saw some dirt bikes and ATVS reminds me of my days of riding
I think the pictures can tell a better story than what can be expressed in words.
What a place to go play on a ATV a must if you like playing with off road vehicles
Fun dunes plus ocean! Great Combo!
Very cool ride on utv ....stock muffler recommended 92 db max so don't go on a weekend if you have mods we went during the week and tore it up good times...
Killer Dunes. Gary, who runs the park is great. Runs a tight ship.
I love this place so fun to go ride and make memories.
It's a huge, beautiful playground! I can't imagine living anywhere else!
My family and friends love riding our quads and bikes here yearly. One of the best places around.
Sand, driftwood & the ocean! Can't get any better. Today the same was hot! Had to put my sandals back on before I reached the water. Lol
Gorgeous settings - be prepared to pay for parking at the designated park stations. In season - full of activity to include four wheeling! Off season - quieter and nicer to visit without the ruckus, just need to be okay with rain and wind
Love the experience every time we come here! A bit spendy but it's a lot of fun!
Had great fun, awesome experience. Staffs were friendly. I would say vehicles were in pretty good conditions. Had no trouble with the process of booking. We had to wait 1.5 hrs but it was fine. I would recommend making the availability and fees more transparent.
Lots of people of all ages enjoying sand dunes.
