We loved staying here on our road trip to California and the redwoods. Great friendly staff. Clean and hot showers conveniently located near the tent campsites. Spacious tent sites with privacy. Close to a beautiful beach. Great for body boarding and playing in the water. Nice nature walks around the park. Wonderful kid programs. We met Smokey the Bear. That was a great. Close to wonderful parks with nature trails and playgrounds. Close for a drive to Crescent City. We enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend and come back again.
Nice area with a beautiful beach, $22 camping
Beautiful Park on Highway 101 on the Oregon coast. Great place to stop and rest or camp
Nice clean campground. Very quiet for being a large campground.
The Brookings OR area is beautiful and at 80 yrs young is a place I would not mind moving to from San Diego CA.
Such an awesome spot on the beach. Spent a beautiful day with my boys on the beach.
Great location! Good showers and sites. Reserve yurts a year in advance! My favorite coastal campground for tent/yurt camping.
One of my favorite places on the coast. Bathroom facilities available. Great little beach to go by yourself or with the family
Always like stopping in a night or two. Reservations are the way to go if you wish to stay more than a night. They usually are fully booked. Sometimes we've been able to get ONE night when we've dropped in.
Out of every campground and recreation area I've ever been too, and the list is rather extensive, this is by far my favourite. The campground is always clean. The sites are level and most of them afford some privacy, especially back in c and d loops. The showers are great, some of them even private single showers and wheelchair access. The beach access is great with both a South and North beach to visit with picnic areas and tide pools. There is a centrally located bathroom facility at the north beach as well. Across the highway is a beautiful rest area with loads of trees and flowers. There are events for the young ones to attend, laundry facilities and a hiker biker camp. The trails are worth exploring and the staff is always happy and helpful. They sell dry firewood on site during certain hours and have a helpful camp host. There are also playgrounds for the kids and dogs are permitted on leash. I'd live there if I could.
I love this place i will be back sooner than later
Great campground! We stayed in the hiker biker and there was tons of flat ground to choose from. Love love love the lockers with charging stations!
Beautiful park. All sites immaculate. Restrooms and showers very clean Lots of large spaces to accommodate larger rvs. Some sites for tents. Others with full hookups or electric and water
We love to visit Harris Beach State Park. We had an amazing time today. Although the beach was windy today inside the park it was the perfect temperature. We had a blast playing and walking around. Thank you to all the volunteers I seen today! The park looked great.
This is a really great beach for those who like to rock hop and check out little tide pools. Probably not great for getting into water as there are rip tides but a really fun spot to spend a few hours with amazing views.
One great beach just north of Brookings.
Amazing Reunion w my family, peaceful and beautiful views!! I hope to visit again aoon.
Clean well taken care of. Bathrooms are kept up and showers are hot with good water pressure and don't cost anything. The only thing I would say was a bummer was how close to 101 the campsites are. You can hear the traffic at any point of the day and night. It won't keep me from coming back but next time well be a little more picky about which sites we are in (a and b loops, lower number c sites)
Great campground with some foliage privacy between most camp sites. Bathrooms are tended well and clean with flush toilets. Free showers which are cleaned daily. The employees are friendly, helpful and available as are the really nice camp hosts, Rory and Linda.
Great RV site!! Clean and close to the beautiful beach. Friendly Staff, clean bathrooms and showers.
The sunsets.... I have no words. Ho see them yourself. Also, the beach was clean and the park rangers were amazing and kind.
An amazing spot to enjoy the Oregon coast in all its splendor. Climbing rocks, driftwood, and plenty of beach...the only thing missing is a shower facility after all the fun.
Over the top. Best camping at the beach
I love coming to this beach. One of my favorites.
We loved this beach and really enjoyed our time there with the kids! We went down the first path which is STEEP and we didnt know there was a different way with a dock down to the beach which would have made it much easier with the babies. It would be nice if there was a sign or something letting you know. There are berries everywhere and such gorgeous views! We will be making another stop before heading home to Idaho
Close to the beach, easy access, well kept grounds, lots of special shows about sealife and local history. Great playground for the kids.
I didn't have a reservation and lucked out got the best site ocean view. Nice ranger too. Super pretty and clean
There is a trail down to the beach right as you exit the main road. Very steep but nice hike to a secluded part of the beach. Further down is the public restroom, accessible beach and campground (reservations required for entry).
A great beach, and not too crowded. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Parking is free. Just watch out for the seagulls! They will try to steal your lunch
Soooooo beautiful! Water is freezing but the caves are amazing and the boulders/rock formations are so stunning lots of agates and crab bodys if that's your thing. Definently recommend a wetsuit if your from out of town super easy to get hypothermia
Excellent beach access with plenty of parking when we visited today. Nearby restrooms are clean and well maintained.
On behalf of the RV Bunch members: "Harris Beach is a wonderful state park, perched high above the beach! My favorite campground on the Oregon coast! $30-$45 per night. Good-sized sites, but although paying for a 55ft site and arriving to find it much smaller, you need to keep that in mind."
We stayed here in our travel trailer (28`) and had a great time. The campground was great - nice forested setting with good screening between campsites, clean bathrooms, nice showers and quiet at night (there is some noise from a nearby sawmill but for us it quickly faded into the background). The beach here is great and there are plenty of conveniences in nearby Brookings.
Beatiful views, great parking and bathrooms.
Wicked cool park! Oregon coast has the best views. It reminds me of some of the Maine coast and makes me miss my home state! Such a cool spot around Brookings
As nice as everyone says. Tent camped there last weekend for the first time. D loop, site 19. I wish I'd known how noisy the busy highway is adjacent the park. Forget hearing the ocean and if you are tenting bring earplugs to sleep well. I'd go back if I had an RV or trailer. Otherwise its perfect.
This is a great spot to go exploring or just hangout. Not too crowded! Public bathrooms available!
One of Oregon's best places to visit.
beautiful beach! we love to stop here whenever we come to the coast. it can be a little crowded at times but still beautiful
A great place to have a drink and good food
Spacious yurt, great facilities. Private.
By far my favorite Oregon State Park. Beautiful, clean and scenic beaches. Fantastic campground in the most beautiful region on the Oregon coast...
Great camping experience! The beach was a hike, but very nice. I was able to take a stroller down the path.
Beautiful beach, clean restrooms. Highly recommend checking it out.
It's nice freindly comfortable raingers are great it's great place to camp
This place is too beautiful for words. The pictures just barely do it justice.
Very pretty beach to visit. While it is a state park, leashed dogs are welcomed. It was wheelchair accessible !nd has plenty of parking. I definitely make this a stop anytime I am in ths area.
The camp sites were spacious enough for 2 tents or so. Camper sites were nice. Bathroom facilities and showers were well maintained. Wood available for purchase at set times. Great experience overall.
The Oregon coastline is pristine and a fantastic place to visit and create outstanding beautiful memories. Walk along the shores clean beaches, see the many island areas and arch rock, follow the curves of the land, see nature at work. For a day or a week, the Oregon coast and Harris Beach State Park are an outstanding choice.
This is a great beach you can bring your dogs on leash
Love Oregon State Parks and Harris Beach State Park is beautiful. Short walk to the beach from campground. Some ocean view sites, but hard to get as they are reserved far in advance. Full hook up sites and water/electric only sites.
Beautiful scenery, peaceful. Well kept. Clean surroundings including the bathrooms. Very nice place to stop with your family.
This beach is so cool. Many smaller sea stacks covered in barnacles, mussels and sea starts. Really a cool place to visit.
Lovely place. Will try the campsite next time
Really nice coastal campground, large spaces with trees and shrubs as barriers between campsites. Easy access to several beaches within walking distance of the campsites.
A very family friendly beach plenty of different areas to explore with any age of children.
Camped here multiple times, it's clean and quiet. The beach is very nice and easily accessible.
Very clean. Facilities were nice. Easy access to beach and trails. Will definitely be returning
Very beautiful. We want to visit again when we have more time.
Love this beach! Beautiful, lots of walking hiking and rock climbing. Decent bathrooms, showers, ramp available for easy access. Great family beach.
Loving it. Nice hike down to a low tide beach today. Camp spots are big and a few have views of the ocean. You have to book early
Love this beach. It's a great spot for walking around and looking at the tide pools. I found some sea glass. During certain time of the year you can whale watch.
Great campground for proximity to anything Southern Oregon. Very clean and good privacy between sites. Book early, it was completely filled every day we were there. 3 minute walk to an awesome beach overlook, 3 more minutes to the beach. Several photo opportunities are within a very scenic walk out of camp. Plenty of options for food and supplies in town down the road. The scenic corridor just north of the campground cannot be missed...its incredible.
Stunning section of Oregon Coast! Park and campground are very well kept.
A beautiful part of nature.
Hello California! !! Cool campgrounds in Harris beach! On our way to the redwoods! !!
Wonderful beach with great views! Unfortunately the wind was crazy the day we went but that's no fault of the park. We had lots of fun in the water and really enjoyed the beach! Would happily go back again!
Drove across the country from the east coast and finally met the edge of the map here, at Harris Beach. Beautiful place. Would be great for a day trip or picnic. Very clean. We were there in September and around mid-morning so it was practically deserted.
Beautiful beach, well maintained. One of my favorite spots to visit
Great for tide pool investigation. Sandy beach with modern bathroom. Foot wash available but there are no public showers.
Its a beautiful park! We will be adding it to the list of repeats.
The best state park in Oregon
Lovely day at the beach. Able to RV at the Campground.
This is the place to camp on the lower OR coast and every year more and more campers discover it. The sites are kept well and private even though they are fairly close to each other. Clean restrooms and showers always. The best asset, though, is the beach below the campgrounds. A very active tide pool waits to be explored at low tide. Book ahead or you may not get a spot!!
Beautiful beach with breathtaking views paralleled by none. It's quaint and quiet and always ample room for whomever may be down there. Pet friendly, and my daughter assures me that the many jellyfish that washed ashore are harmless. There are many fine restaurants nearby so this is a great spot to take the family for the whole day or extended out for the weekend.
This is a beautiful State Park. I stayed in a yurt and the shower facilities were clean and neat. The yurt was as expected clean and neat.
Amazingly beautiful ❤ 10/10 would go again
Amazing park. Well worth the visit to spend a day on the Oregon coast.
Plenty of parking, easy walk to the beach, tide pools are over the hill on the south side (bit of a climb to get there). The rest rooms at the parking lot were clean and they have both an outdoor shower and a foot rinse area to clean up sand before heading back to the car. The beach itself was clean so if you come to visit PLEASE bring back what you bring out and pick up any garbage you may find to keep it that way!
Awesome place. The sun was out, but so was the wind. A beautiful beach just off the highway.
Worth the stop. Drive past the first parking area, to the second one. Less crowded.
Apple parking. Great views. Safe. And clean.
So beautiful, perfect place for the sunsets.
First time out on the Oregon coast. Drove down through California to the redwood forest, then up the coast til we arrived here. Was a blast. The kids loved it. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful. Dinner over an open fire is always a bonus. Great place, great times. Will definitely go back.
Oregon has the absolute best campgrounds. Well maintained, reasonably priced and super clean. On the plus side, this campground is beautiful, has some blue water views, campsites are paved, several (short) trails and is well protected from wind. Furthermore there are full hookups with 50 amp 50 foot RV sites. The downside is nearness of US101 and a logging lumber Mill just across the highway. Both create a lot of background noise which diminishes the overall camping experience.
It's absolutely gorgeous!! It's right up against the Pacific Ocean and camp sites are among beautiful forest land. There are lots of trails and pets are always welcome on a leash. I have enjoyed many Summer vacations here with family and friends. We have family reunions here each year. The park fills up very quickly. On the up side, it's open year around for use. Happy camping!!
Awesome place to see wildlife and experience the Ocean. It gets a bit windy so warm layers are recommended
A pleasant location with amazing views. From the wonderous trees surrounding or the costal sight you cant help but lose track of time staring at. The camp grounds are very close to the beach about a 15 to 20 minute walk if you go slow and about a 2 minute drive. The camp grounds are a bit small and too close knitted for my liking. With less privacy from your neighbors. Though most of the time they are friendly. Its better to have friendly neighbors further away for that added ambience of being in nature. The beach its self, never feels crowded. Its a long beach with plenty to hold your attention. So walk slow on the shoreline and make memories. Its what makes happiness thrive.
Beautiful beach!! Make sure you dress warm to enjoy your time there!
This beach reminds me of a fantasy landscape most often only seen in the movies or in your own minds eye. Visit, breathe it in. This is truly a remarkable place.
During my Summer Vacation to Oregon with my Aunt & Cousin My Cousin Hector & Wife Windy took us all over and this was one of the spots we visited! I have never been to Oregon and I was so impressed with all the Beautiful Places we visited! Everything is so green and of course the beach was awesome! Hope to go back soon!
Love this place !l A great family beach ! And wildlife area
Definitely beautiful area, enjoyed the free access for sunset viewing.
Campgroumd: well-maintained, clean, inexpensive, 1pm check-out, nice showers, fantastic ranger station sells bike helmets for $6 and has really great kids activities - better than the pamphlets say. I love that every site is on their website video so you can choose wisely. Our site, D10 was great while the one across the way was not so much. The geoup sites right next to mine were especially lovely. Beach is gorgeous - several areas to explore and spend time at over a few days, each with unique qualities. Walks are lovely and wild, full of life, many different edible berries, and strong scent of Oregon coast plants and salt air. Lastly, it is nice to be so close to town that it is convenient to get anything you may have forgotten.
Always a good stop. Very well kept. Up dated eveything last year in the campground. Very big and beautiful beach. Even outside showers to wash off sand before u leave.
Such a beautiful place, big and lots of amenities
Beautiful accessable beach.
Love this beach! We saw dolphins, beautiful beach and love the sound of ocean waves
Amazing sunset and beach that you can drive to without the hike.
Honestly, breath taking! These road side parks are simply amazing. If it's just to stretch your legs or to get out and explore, I highly suggest you do so! Samuel H. Boardman made these parks accessible to everyone and I'm glad he did so! What a truly remarkable man to raise funding for each one of these parks single handedly! Absolutely breathtaking. Thank you Mr. Boardman
One of our favorites! Birding, beautiful scenery, fishing, and trails for hiking. There is an RV section.
Wonderful beach a few good trials. Great hike up the hill to look out over the ocean.
Nice after some renovations that now appear to be finished in the campground.
Great place for camping, beach is okay. Camp sites in the back are more private, but no ocean views. Playground is pretty good for the kiddos. Beach has handicapped accessibility, but that portion of the coast seems especially windy. There are easily accessible restrooms from the beach, and they are well maintained.
Harris beach is very easy to get to, not crowded, and just beautiful. We had a great time playing in the water, which was a bit cold, and we built sand castles. Perfect weather helped too.
Incredible campgrounds! Walking trails to beach, through campground, and to view point. Firewood for only $5 sold in evenings. We camped in a tent at site D001 and it was perfect. Large, private, and the kids loved climbing the tree. Beach was very windy but we didn't feel even a breeze at the campsite!
Was fun beach to begin your 101 trip!
This is a quite lovely state park, great rocky beaches and a nice wooded camping park. Our dog loved running on the beach.
Nice scenic beach wth restrooms. Very windy. Very photogenic. Driftwood structures.
Its beautiful. Love the coast.
Easy access off of 101 just north of Brookings, has free restrooms with showers, picnic tables, wheelchair access to the beach. This place is awesome
This was a great stop and an awesome campground! Hot showers and super clean facilities. A great new playground and minutes walk to a spectacular beach and great views .... we will for sure come back once down this way again in the future.
Cool little beach. All of the driftwood piled up is neat. It's nothing truly spectacular, but it's still a nice place for a sunset.
Great beach to catch at low tide. Lots of fun to be had romping in the tide pools.
Great trails to hike, nice bathrooms and great beach.
If you've never seen it. It's worth every second to go see it. Love it there
This is a perfect picnic stop. Tables a-plenty right on the beach. ❣Weather was cool and Breezy.
Beautiful Park, but poorly managed. Unfortunately the officials cannot use a tape measure and had a 28 foot site that was at a hard angle on a narrow road listed as a 40 foot size that was capable of a 30 foot travel trailer. Worthwhile visiting, but beware of their listings
We have many days here, but I can say with confidence we will be back again. The campground is awesome, great amenities, friendly staff, beautiful sites with fire rings. Easy walk to amazing views and the beach!
This was one of the best state parks along the Oregon Coast. The campsites were nice, the showers were REALLY nice for a campsite, and it was an enjoyable experience all around. The beach was an amazing beach; the rocks were amazing and the tide pools were awesome. Go if you can.
Grest beach to take children. Tide pools had tons of colorful starfish when we were there. Fun and interesting place to explore
Great state park, weather is always a little better here....
Just a fantastic each. Tide pools, clean beaches. Unique Stacks. The traffic flow around camp was a little busy, but you had enough room between site.
Daytrip to the beach. Loved it. Clean, lots of fun driftwood, beach was fabulous, kids had a blast! PERFECT place to bring the family.
Amazing in every way. Breathtaking and relaxing! Photos are a must!
Great park. Great hot water with clean showers.
Site A25 has great views and full hookups. This park is amazing, very clean and well run. Restrooms have showers and are also warm and clean. You will need reservations well in advance to get one of the desired ocean view sites in A loop. 50 amp and 30 amp service available in the RV sites and they have posted the driveway lengths and widths on their website.
Great sightseeing beach lots of driftwood many places to explore
Very nice views of rocks out off the shore and a nice accessible ramp. No stairs needed to get to the beach. A nice sandy area to play and sit.
We come here as a family almost every year. Lots of updates happening in the park, campsites are a little larger and a little flatter making it easier for tent camping... Lots of different beaches and trails to explore, it just sit in a sheltered area at south beach and watch the waves crash on the rocks.
Great stop along the Southern Coadt.
Always beautiful at Harris foggy today but it'll probably burn off later today the campgrounds full but that happens why you got a book early with lots of parking and just a beautiful place bring your kids bring your dogs keep your dogs on a leash maybe your kids too LOL.
Harris Beach is a beautiful and splendid beach park. The giant rocks nestled in and around the flat sandy beach, with the pacific ocean's glistening vista (on clear days) is stunningly breathtaking. No daily fees (unless camping) is a bonus. In the last few years a concrete pathway has been constructed on one side allowing visitors an easy and safe method to quickly get down the hill from the parking lot to the sand and surf. Lots of parking available as well as large restrooms and foot shower. My family loves Harris Beach and the Brookings Coastal area. #pacificsunset #sunsetharrisbeach
Campground very well organized. We spent 4 nights in our tent trailer Jays, hummingbirds and deer were present Excellent trails and beach access We even caught a few fish off the rocks
Site C04 our first stay. This park is fantastic for camping. They keep things really nice. The park was pretty busy when we visited and still the showers were hot each morning! Full hookups are nice if you’re taking a trailer. Multiple outlets are available for various sizes of electrical hookups. Water at each site came out great. Bathrooms could be cleaner but seem to be well kept. And best of all the camp staff is all very friendly and welcoming. Reserve early.
One of the loveliest beaches in Oregon. Dog friendly, too!
Another great Oregon State Park. Well maintained park with good facilities, typically quite busy, even in the autumn. Couple of nice walks to the beach. The only downside side I can think of is that there can be some noise late at night from some commercial facility to the North of the park.
Best sand and awesome surf. Nice parking and bathrooms. Ramp all the way down to beach. We always want more time here.
On a roadtrip up the Oregon coast with our disabled son, we chose this park because of the wheelchair accessible ramp to the beach. We were not disappointed! The concrete ramp led from the parking lot down to the beach. Once we got to the beach, we turned the wheelchair around and pulled it backwards over the soft sand (hard work but totally worth it! The beach was windy, but we sat in the shelter of one of the massive rocks that are scattered along the shore and in the surf. We enjoyed the beauty of the surf, the ocean, and the landscape. Restroom facility is at the top of the parking lot with a sizable, truly wheelchair-accessible stall.
Nice and clean campground, not very close to the beach.
Hey, I grew up in Southern California: Any beach that nobody's built multi-million dollar homes or hundred-unt condos on is going to be a 5-star exoerience for me.
We found so many star fish and the kids had a blast. My only issues where people with off leash dogs. We had our dog on a leash but many others didn't seen 2 dog fights and no enforcement
This is a beautiful, well maintained state park, close to the most stunningly picturesque stretch of the Oregon coast. Easy beach access, trails and many view campsites. Rangers are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our favorite place to camp in Brookings.
Great for a family. They have ranger events planned on the weekends.
Place is fantastic! Been here a few times. Southern Oregon beaches are way more majestic in many ways.
Large campground with 30A & 50A electric, water and sewer hookups. A short walk to the ocean. Well laid out. Showers are hot and good pressure. Close to Brookings, Oregon.
Oregon coast. So nice. Sadly, cig butts on beach...
What a beautiful day at the beach. Kids laughing and having fun and people basking in the warm sun. So beautiful and peaceful that is until countless of aggressive dog owners with their dogs off leashes tried to attack my old dog (on her leash). There need to be more of a LE presence enforcing penalties for those not abiding by the law.
Great camping/RV park with a few ocean view sites. Good beach access. Quiet and we'll maintained.
Seriously a good place to bring the family. Full of amazing veiws
Stayed one night in a yurt here, lovely experience. The yurts have a 3-foot plexiglass cap, and my wake-up call was a half moon shining in my face at 6:00 a.m.
It's a very nice beach. Easy access for families with little ones and ample safe areas to play back from the waves. Convenient facilities. Walking trails that can be enjoyed by fur babies, too, on leash.
Harris Beach is amazing it's accessible for anybody there stairs and ramps and if you go up and over the rocks on the far side you can find Ocean glass all the time and an amazing area to do pictures and tide pools
Beautiful. One of our favorite state parks.
Would have been the perfect spot for peace and serenity in the trees except for the screaming kids. Don't park in loop with play yard!
Nice place. The dogs love it
A great beach to walk or just chill for the day
Such a beautiful stop. Get out if your car and go kick rocks around on the beach, literally. Views like this aren't common so be sure to soak it all up the best you can.
