Beautiful grounds, well maintained. Provides a excellent education on the life of the very interesting Will Rogers. He was so talented and intelligent.
Husband and I spent about three hours here. Very much enjoyed the history, the displays, the grounds, the videos and the people who ran the place.
Prior to coming to the Memorial Museum, I had very little knowledge about him beyond his Vaudeville act. The Memorial is set up in a way that certain section give you more information about a different part of his repertoire, be it the silent or spoken films, Vaudeville act, radio or newspaper columns (which truly were social commentary). I learned a tremendous amount about him and what he stood for, and really enjoyed the museum. Within the museum, there are QR codes which you can use for additional info - a great resource once you're done. If you're near Claremore, this is a museum that is not to be missed.
A must see place. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot to see.
Well built and a must see. A+++
It was cute! The children's area down stairs was fantastic!
Had such a great visit here thanks to one of the Docents (his name was Bob). He took the time to walk us through the museum and share all his wonderful knowledge about Will. We had a great time!
This was a great museum! I took a class of high school boys on a reward trip there, and the cool thing was that it held their interest. In fact l, they thanked me for bringing them there... When does that ever happen? P.s. we loved the live rope tricks and the friendly and informative staff.
Very polite and informative staff, a must see for anyone visiting Oklahoma
The most beautiful museum I've seen ever.
Great information and friendly staff. Beautiful facility.
Always nice to come here, been coming for about 30 years.
A life-long dream to see this memorial. My high expectations were NOT disappointed. In addition to all the audios, videos, statues, wall hangings, and timeline displays we were almost spellbound by a man who gave us behind-the-scenes Will Rogers life stories. We only planned a 2 hour tour. We saw almost everything, but wish we had more time.
I didn't know a lot about Will Rogers but after my visit I had a good grasp on what this wonderful man accomplished in his lifetime. Very enjoyable.
Very good. The most Friendly of all museums.
nice
This place is a great place for the whole family. You can literally not think about it and you've been here all day. I loved it when I was younger, and I still do.
Great museum honoring a great man! My students loved the scavenger hunt.
An amazing collection of Will Rogers memorabilia hosted by the best volunteers on the Route 66 trip! You are brought on the journey with true Will Rogers spirit!
This was a well laid out museum! There was a lot to see. Great experience!
People was very nice
Love the old Will Rogers movies.
Boy do we need a Will Rogers now. The man was great. And so is this place
Very interesting. Spent 2 hours and could have spent more time if we had it. Would visit again.
Really fun for the whole family! This was a man that was important to Oklahoma and the whole nation, and we learned a lot today. We'll definitely be back. There's still more to learn, and the folks who work here are very hospitable!
Way more than what I was expecting. The employees are first class
Nice exhibits, but the whole building smells of mildew.
I love this place! It was so interesting and beautiful!
A must see if you go to Claremore!!! A very good museum. Friendly staff and something for all ages. A very good area for small kids too!!!
Great experience. Got a little special treatment because of the group we were with.
It was a great experience for my 9 year old granddaughter and I. We both enjoyed it and learned a lot.
A great place to learn about the man behind all of the stories.
Great museum honoring Will Rogers. Worth the trip.
Great history and beautiful grounds. Highly recommend.
Well worth your time & money. My husband wanted to visit here on our way to Branson. By far, one if the better museums we have ever visited. I highly recommend it. We also drive the 12 miles to his home. I enjoyed seeing that as well as the drive out there. Worth the time.
Very informative and with a guide was awesome. I lived in Oklahoma for 13 years and never been to the museums. Very well put together.
Very nice experience. Recommended highly.
My 9 yr old son had a blast!
Love the history of this place
Spirit of will Roger's is alive here
We didn't get to enter as it had just closed. Been YEARS since I visited. Did enjoy looking around the grounds. The view was terrific. Will return to visit earlier in the day. Brought my sister to visit, she's from Ohio.
Great museum, you forget what a big celibrity Will Rogers was. Great place to visit. It does cost, just FYI.
Greetings as soon as I walk in. Very friendly and wonderful artifacts and history.
A great place learned a lot ,nice friendly people there !!
Good
Historical - if you are a history buff then you are sure to enjoy this. It was a nice afternoon. Relaxing and fun time, gift shop, nice restrooms, educational area for school groups. Well cared for and beautiful yard.
Not a real large museum but many items of interest including his saddle collection, miniature saddle collection, several videos showing his roping prowess, and life. Staff is very friendly and anxious to answer questions and help you on your visit.
How interesting to have visited Will Rogers Memorial. Such informative people helped us. Must see if you are near.
Inexpensive, you can spend a couple of hours here, nice look back at Oklahoma and Cherokee history in the state, and the history of a national treasure.
This was our first visit here, and the staff were very cordial and knowledgeable regarding Will Rogers. There is a price of admission, but you'll get your money's worth. Kudos to Andy for giving us an initial introduction of the legendary Will Rogers as we stepped into the main foyer to begin our journey back in time. There were several niches and larger, cavernous rooms that held a multitude of paintings, videos and memorabilia. Several locations had a QR Code emblazoned on the wall beside each area to play audio detailing that particular area. So make sure you download a QR Code reader app on your smartphone. There is also a kids area with activities such as playing dress-up, building with the classic Lincoln Logs, and more, Unfortunately the kids area is a few small flights downstairs with lower-than-normal handrails, so if you have mobility issues it may be an issue. The gift shop had a wide range of items - ranging from Will Rogers movies, books, and the usual Route 66 fare. The woman operating the gift shop was also quite savvy in all things Will Rogers. Overall I would highly recommend this museum. Be sure to visit Hammett House restaurant down the road to enjoy a great meal, but that's another review.
Nice museum to honor an American icon. Much information that is not readily available to the cursory history consumer. Well laid out. Easy access for all ages. Grounds are very well maintained. I don't know if they make them available for weddings, etc., but it would be a beautiful venue.
Encompasses all of will Rogers history etc....
This museum is dedicated to Will Rogers. Will Rogers never met a person he didn't like. When visiting the Will Rogers Memorial Musuem give yourself at least 2 hours to take in all the rooms in the building. There is also grounds to wonder around. The signage to the memorial musuem is clearly visible from the roadway. There are rest rooms available on site. Will Rogers was a very interesting man that dabbled in politics, cowboying and comedy. If in Oklahoma you must visit and I promise you will not be disappointed.
Great trip Organ hteat n good, well played
Very interesting and informative. Warm personnel.
Really excellent place to learn not only about Will Rogers and his life, but Oklahoma as well. The museum itself is very well done, and situated on a hill so visitors can see for miles. The theater and show was also a treat.
Very well done and interesting.
Like good ole us history and Oklahoma history? This is a must! The people are welcoming kind and helpful! And there is a calming view! You won't forget this place!
Interesting but some displays hard to read and amateurish.
Interesting Man , I had no idea how influential he was.
Very nice tribute!
I think this is an overlooked American. Fortunately, this museum highlights the importance of his life and contributions to our history.
We are so fortunate to have such a great place in Claremore!
Growing up in Claremore, Will Rogers was a big part of our lives. This museum shows how much he was a part of the world as well.
Andy was a really good docent. He was very helpful and entertaining. The museum is also really interesting.
A wonderful time capsule of history. Great exhibits and wonderful staff
Enjoyed it very much
Brought My Daughters Here as Kids Now I'm Here With My Grandson....Great Place To Visit;Friendly Staff..
Very large and well presented history of an American entertainment legend
Great place with photos, film, lots of memorabilia.
Awesome place to visit. Watch the movie about Will Rogers first before diving into the museum. Everything will make more sense. Go down below to the Children’s museum. It was so adorable and it will give you ideas on decorating. The murals were amazing!
Wow what a interesting man. Beautiful grounds.
Andy Hogan's rope demonstration and knowledge about the Rogers family was outstanding. It definitely made the museum great for myself and my kids. Very friendly staff at the entrance door and facility was tidy.
I would only suggest this place if you are really interested in early film history.
Loved State Fair... great movie!!!
It was great. The guides were so knowledgeable and helpful. Full of great information. Very well done and maintained. Such a pretty setting
Beautiful & informative Museum. The staff is fantastic.
Oklahoma's native son!
I really enjoyed the Will Roger's memorial museum, learned so much more about this man than I ever knew before.
Loved it. Well worth stopping. Very well done.
Wonderful place and staff.
I was here as a child and returned as an adult in my 60s. It's a sad thing that we haven't taught our children who is Native American Hero was. My grands have no idea. Will Rogers was an amazing individual.
This is a beautiful place. What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man.
Beautiful place, so glad we stopped!!
Well maintained site preserving the words and contributions of a great American humorist. (Mark twain was not the only one) Worth the visit.
This was a last minute stop. There was so much to see. We will be back.
This is an incredible place. I spent hours just listening to the exhibits. There are speeches he made that are so point on for today's society. The other exhibits show the joy that he gave the country and the love they returned to him. Truly a great experience.
Nice
Very small but interesting. Lots of paintings and statues. Not tons of original artifacts. Staff is nice. There was an anniversary celebration going on while the museum was open. Odd.
Been many times. Nice. Much interesting information. They are doing some renovation work; main theater is closed.
Living in Oklahoma all my life but this was my first time here...it was great!
It has a really pretty view and you will learn a lot about the famous, well-known, lasso trick legend Will Rogers. It's very educational and I recommend it to anyone wanting to know about him.
Very cool and educational
Historically significant figure we've all seem to have forgotten
Such a great place.
Watch 4th of July fireworks
I took my dad here while he was visiting from Colorado. We had so much fun and learned a lot.
America needs another Will Roger's. It would nice to have his sense of humor again.
It is mediocre for a museum
Lots of interesting history that you can't see anywhere else
Very nice museum and very respectful to the memory of an American icon. It really helped me learn so much more about this great man.
I learned new thing about one of my childhood heroes. It not expensive at all. This place is somewhere you should visit.
Wonderful exhibits telling the story of the life of a great American.
I can't say enough good things about the Will Rogers Memorial. The grounds outside are beautiful and well maintained. So much to see inside and many different types of displays. Sit in the little theatre and watch a Will Rogers movie, see a replica of his home study, artwork, sculptures and more. Downstairs houses a great place for children. Puppet area, dress-up, Lincoln Logs and more. Still all tied in to Will and his personal history. Great gift shop with lots of fun gifts for everyone. Entry price well worth the money. Restrooms and elevators both handicap accessible. Easy to find and good parking.
Love anything cowboy. He's a legend
Such a nostalgic trip! Will Rogers was an incredible character and well loved across America. Great memorabilia throughout the museum.
i mean its a museum its exactly what you expect, really good view tho
Tons to read...see...take in. Tons of info to take in...reading, videos, clips, radio spots, etc...so, PLAN on being there a long time if you want to take it all in. Plenty of places to sit and rest. Nice garden / burial area outside. Air conditioned for those HOT days. Gift shop. Veterans and seniors are slightly discounted on the admission. PLENTY OF PARKING. Don't forget to hit the "THUMBS UP" button if you found my review helpful.
Though it is a nice place for learning and a fun field trip I have realized that after going there twice that it wasn't very entertaining and that every item in the gift shop was a scam and wouldn't work unless you spent over $20
Very nice memorial for one of Oklahoma's greatest men. Very informative and a great place for a family outing...
Excellent museum very interesting.
Nice museum, lots of things to see. Main theater was very musty, so allergic people beware. Nice kids section in basement.
I have been bringing my nieces to the museum since they were 3yrs old ( now are 6). At first our goal was to go down to the children’s area to play. Then as they got older we began stopping at the exhibits and learning more about Will Rogers. They kept calling him “Mr Rogers” and eventually I realized they had confused him with ( Mr. Rogers neighborhood). We have our favorite places to stop and learn about him. We have a friend and her great grandson who began joining us. The kids spend hours playing and building in the Children’s area. ( we always try to leave pick up after ourselves and leave it nicer than we find it). We also have enjoyed picnics outside in warmer weather and finally made it out to Will Rogers house and farm. If you have kids that are 5 and under they are free and yearly membership is reasonable.
I lived down the street from the museum in 1985. My twin sister and I would visit the museum often, to escape the heat, and watch the movies. I've since moved but came back to specifically visit the museum again. Such great memories!!! Like the upgrades too. I wonder what Will Rogers would have accomplished had he lived longer.
Very informativeand beautiful museum. We learned things about Will Rogers life we didn't know before. Well worth the admission fee and time.
If you love Will Rogers, this is the place to come to learn more. It is a beautiful museum dedicated to the life of an awesome man
Absolutely love this place! This is a Timeless building filled with wonderful paintings and art pieces and everything Will Rogers! If you've never been you definitely need to go!
Really informative. Good presentation
