Beautiful nature. Trashiest people on Earth. Every building and important or scenic sight had been vandalized with horrible and vulger things. Even beautiful and historic castles had been destroyed and covered with obscene pictures. Amazing natural caves were covered with graffiti. And almost every square foot of the park, trails included, had atleast 2 empty beer bottles, usually more. Again, the nature was beautiful, but the park is terribly run and seems to attract people that don't appreciate the beauty. They seem to think that the nature would look much better with graffiti on it, and food, diapers, and beer littered all over it.

My family and I will always have a special connection here. Close by is the Chickasaw national park with buffalo, and Sulfur Springs. The Artesian hotel and casino are good places for a weekend getaway that is close to Dallas. Turner Falls has a ton of cabins nestled into the trees for a couple or several families.

Turner Falls was so packed that nobody could get in. This viewpoint of the falls is your next best bet.

Waited in a line of cars for 20 minutes just to be turned away at the gate because dogs aren't allowed. Strange for a fully outdoor recreation area. Wish we had a warning before driving all this way.

Turner Falls is a fun place to explore for a day trip. It's crowded during the summer and on holidays though. The big negative is I can't believe how much trash was everywhere. Maybe it was the tourists from that weekend but it was by far the worst I've seen in years there. Makes you sad people would do that to beautiful nature.

The best camping place I’ve ever been too. Is so gorgeous and the water is so blue and clear. There’s lots of fun rocks and swim areas. I couldn’t recommend anyplace higher.

"swim at your own risk regardless if lifeguard on duty". Why have a lifeguard then? (We didn't see any all day) Trails need to be maintained better, weeds grow up everywhere. Trash and litter is seen at least every 20 yards, and I pay $12 a person for this. They don't allow guns for self defense (even lawful conceal carry), they say people aren't allowed to play loud music but everyone does, and there is no active enforcement. Also, the caves are tagged with graffiti on all surfaces, as well as the valley walls near the river. Besides that, the water is beautiful.

Warning: over 4 drownings this year so far. It's a beautiful place, with wonderful river beds to swim in, and 2 fun slides. But be warned, it is very dangerous. The slides catapult you into the murky water; if you can't swim, you might drown. On the river bed I had a lot of fun with my teenagers exploring, but I fell 3 times (head first on rock), each one a very close call. The moss is like ice, no shoes will help. At the very least, they need to post warning signs for inexperienced swimmers.

You can either walk or drive to the overlook from the main entrance. If you decided to walk there is no dedicated trail you kinda have to walk on the side of the street or make your way up from the small hill and if you drive is only .6 miles and you only need your receipt to re-enter the park.
