Visited the Museum on a trip across the country, was a wonderful little slice of history! We loved the Century Chest Exhibit especially. Had some delicious wraps at the cafe on the third floor as well

I went to walk around at 816pm and was rudely told by staff that I had to be "way over there" and pointed to the road. He said there was an event going on and pointed to some cars. I'm not sure what kind of event is going on where people walking by on the sidewalk, minding their own business is a problem. Won't be going in. Ever.

This place is one of the coolest places to visit in OKC. If you're from here or not it's a must see. I have been several times and always enjoy the changing exhibits. The details on the museum are my favorite part. They pay so much attention to every little thing. The garden is also beautiful and a great place to hang out on a cool day and just have your lunch. There is a cafe upstairs that serves basic stuff like sandwiches and salads. And even it's fully decorated. The price is really inexpensive for what you get. I cannot wait to go back again.

Went on a tour during school and loved it! Never knew my state had such a rich history!!

Never in a million years did I think Oklahoma would build something that I would enjoy visiting related to history. But this is really a nice place. Would I love to see A more in-depth and accurate visual depictions of the Native American culture, and the impact natives have on who we are as Oklahoman yes. But they still did a wonderful job. I would like to see more of Oklahoma's truth in regards to the racial tension in the 1920. It should be displayed that we in fact had a race riot in Tulsa, that what is now know as Bricktown was mostly own and operated by black people. Maybe in the future they will change it up a little and show some of the ugly truth.

Great place to visit and always something to learn!

I agree with the other positive reviews. As a visitor to Oklahoma, the exhibits and displays provided an interesting view into the nation's 46th state. There's something here for everyone and research options too if a deeper dive is desired.

Nostalgic Items, American Indians in Oklahoma history, great history library.

The Oklahoma History Center is a great place to visit. They have a brand new building now, that is much better than the old one. You can spend hours in here doing research or just looking at the displays. Every time I come here, I discover something new. I think you will enjoy it.

I've been to this museum several times over the years, and I drive up from Dallas to visit! My only complaint is that 1) they have a world-class museum with an audio tour, but they don't advertise the audio, and 2) most of the exhibits aren't properly signed with the audio-tour stop, so you wind up guessing most of the way.

This museum provides a good history of the state of Oklahoma. Although I have lived here 26 years of my adult life, I learned so much in just the first two exhibit halls! The museum is very well laid out and the exhibits are beautiful. I can't believe the museum has been open 14 years, as it is very clean and looks brand new! There is a good mix of interactive learning for adults and kids and view/read only items. Many of the Native American bead work items are stunning. The Oklahoma / Vietnam war gallery was unique, very moving exhibits to say the least. Fun to sing and dance along with the "Oklahoma" musical playing in the Noble Foundation Gallery. Outside, the museum grounds are also beautiful. Too much to write - I had a great afternoon. Easy to navigate, ample parking, great gift shop, lots of photo opportunities! The staff was also friendly and helpful.

The Museum is large, and has several galleries to explore on a few floors. The Exhibits are fantastic. Everything is laid out and organized well. In some rooms, there was too much stuff, but we did come out learning quite a bit about Oklahoma. We enjoyed the quick glimpses and the overview in all the rooms, but we particularly liked the exhibits devoted to OKC’s commercial history, the Vietnam War and the local soldiers, the 39 Tribal Native American Tribes, the Steamboat “Heroine”, and the oil and gas industries. The airplane “Winnie Mae” and the Helicopter hanging on the ceilings were intriguing.

I was there for a year in 1984, I absolutely loved Guthrie!! And I'm trying to find out what the population of Guthrie was at that time.

Very difficult to figure out. The cafe was closed as well. Rooms do not indicate the displays, just the names of doners. For the most part, it is essentially a tribute to all the influential people who have made contributions to Oklahoma but not a complete Oklahoma History. Where is the mention of Geronimo, Quanah Parker, Indian boarding schools, imprisonment, Buffalo Soldiers? Why does Douglas High School get such a large display but I saw nothing about Deep Deuce, Boley, Tulsa Race Riots, this is not the Oklahoma City history center. I learned a lot about the Diffee family. Many of the displays were typeset so small they were not easy to read. Some of the objects were placed so low, only a child could see them easily. I'm addition there was a typo of the word Earth in the Native American display. The languages and videos in that section were wonderful!

Beautiful museum, first time here with a field trip with my daughter. Monday kids are free so might want to plan for this day if you want to save a few bucks. Military vets and active are also always free. Hands on goodies for the kids. Sam Noble gallery was closed for renovations, looking forward to seeing that when we return. Enjoy!
