REVIEWS OF Golden Driller Statue IN Oklahoma

Tiffany House

Super neat place to visit. The statue itself is huge and def. a must see. There was a snow cone truck selling snow cones in front, which was yummy!

Nicole Miller

Free to public! The 6th tallest US statue is always a cool thing to see! Now the Joshs Snow shack next to it makes a fun, cheap outing.

Mandy Madison

He was awesome!!

Khara Dawn Bilby

Love this guy! Brings back all kinds of childhood memories with my grandparents and the State Fair and the Icecapades.

Stacey Lowe

I have lived within a mile of our ever faithful Golden Driller statue my entire life. I love seeing him in his gigantic t-shirt every year during the fair. He's always standing tall and, at night, shining brightly. My siblings and I all have our pics, as little kids, perched on his boot looking like little ants. He always makes me feel like I'm home safe.

The Tulsa driller's man statue is one of the most iconic landmarks within the state of Oklahoma that symbolizes Tulsa as the "Oil Capitol of the World" from the 1950's-1960's! I personally only view the marvelous statue once a year during the Tulsa State Fair.

Suzanne Joiner

Unique place to visit. Not much more than the statue.

Super easy to access roadside attraction, just off Route 66. Parking is very accessible, just off the road. Not a crowded attraction. The history of the statue is interesting enough. Get a photo.

I went to Life Senior Services Lifestyle Senior Fair at the Expox Square. The fair was absolutely wonderful. There were a lot venues there. They served continental breakfast that morning the was marvelous. I look forward to going this July 30th. Call ahead if you want the breakfast.

Love our Landmark

Erhart Elliotmurray

I think the Golden Driller is such a cool landmark in Tulsa. I love how it shows Tulsa's history as the "oil capital of the world". It seems like a lot of things are named after this one statue (sports teams, sushi rolls, etc.), which I think is kind of cool. You can find him right outside the Expo building. This is where the fairgrounds are every year in the fall. In the summer, you can visit the Golden Driller and enjoy one of the best snow cone shacks right next to it while you're at it.

Susie Clark

I have so many amazing memories as a child going to the Tulsa State Fair or Expo Center for various shows. It is an absolutely amazing Route 66 statue and part of the history and culture of Tulsa. I have met people from all around the world who've come to Tulsa just to view the Tulsa Golden Driller.

Amazing statue

Timothy Golding

I got to hand out bibles.

Sandra Gutierrez

This was really something to see! The last reviewer mentioned the construction vehicle in front of it....they must have been there around the same time we were. I could not understand why they did that. My friend, even bumped his head, on part of the contraption, while on his phone. We still managed to get some good pictures, by eliminating the vehicle, from view. This was our highlight of Tulsa, while Route 66ing!

Jerry Davis

another dirt racing fan must

Irma Zandl

Great photo/instagram situation close to the airport.

Guy M

As you would expect. It’s a landmark. Sits in front of the Expo Center

B Zambalis

When I was younger it was pretty cool, now it's just a statue. Though the story of it is cool in it self. It's in a hard place to park and see upclose. since the building it is in front of is so big I usually don't consider it when we are there.

Goyo GTO

People don’t appreciate this Tulsa historical feature. Tulsa was the ‘Oil Capital of the World’ and this statue symbolizes an era gone by. There is so much history in the Tulsa oil business. Is it a must see like the Statue of Liberty? Likely no, but if you’re at an event or the state fair you’ll be reminded of Tulsa’s past. (By the way, the Statue of Liberty is a Muslim girl based on a pagan goddess and people love her.)

Coleman Rankin

Fun tourist stop

It was a large statue of a oil worker. In terms of status, it definitely was one. I was there to watch my son race BMX though, so I didn't look at it to y long. But it was definitely a statue that I walked by, so I give it 5 stars.

sammy D

Great venue for gunshow or any type of trade show.

Travis Patton

Great photo stop

Mat Crew

Classic Tulsa historical landmark. This guy is huge, huge, maybe 25 feet tall and he is right in front of the newly renovated Tulsa Expo Square at 21st and Yale.

Emmalee Fowler

It's a giant gold statue with a nice butt. Seriously, though, why did you have to go and shave down the package of a topless man? He's topless and still has a massive booty. Like, why was THAT what caused offense? And why did it cause offense in the first place? It's a statue. Anyway, it's just a big statue. Nice to see, but not a must see. RIP Proportionate Package.

RAE CAMPBELL

Really cool statue of an oil worker. It is absolutely huge! It stands in a parking lot so not much to do but look in awe at it or sit on it and take pictures but certainly worth seeing up close! PS. If you happen by at the right time, sometimes he has on a giant, real t-shirt!!?

Amanda FletcherGoad

Not much to say. It's cool to take family or folks that have never been to Tulsa to take a picture with the Golden driller. I take pictures every year at the Tulsa Auto Show. Plenty of parking unless there's a show at the expo center.

Alwaysget Betterstronger

We didn't know the history of the statue. For us it was just a quirky roadside attraction. We stopped to take a short break from our road trip. It was neat. We took some pictures. Didn't see a lot around. There was some sort of snow cone stand in the parking lot; which seemed popular when we were there. The building behind the golden driller is some sort of expo center. We did not check it out. But I'd imagine if there was an event at the expo center -then I'd imagine that it'd be difficult to find a place to park.

Daisy Ellis
