You may have noticed that it has an average rating is virtually the best one, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the service, is that it works.

Very informative museum inside with free WiFi
Great area and great cabins! It's not a luxury site but that's not why I enjoy places like these, it's a great place to disconnect and explore some great trails! The people that run this place are all nothing but nice and courteous. I will definitely be back!
I would have liked some more interactive exhibits. All in all, worth going once. Gift shop had a lot of empty shelf space.
Fun place
Great selection of stores
I liked this a lot, it was simple, yet informative, indoors, the kids liked it, and best part it's free! There's great places for photos, and information center, and a cute gift shop.
So much to see , beautiful park, a must destination.
Great staff who helped us through the center explaining everything! Recommend!

Lovely museum! My family and I stopped here and I am so glad we did ! With a GORGEOUS Native American Wood Carving in front, honoring all the native Americans especially those from the "Trail of Tears " , inside they display many historical items from the era and beyond. Plus free admission makes it a can't miss!!! Highly Recommend!!!
My kids enjoyed it.
This is a must see when visiting Beavers Bend. So much to see and listen to their stories in each show case. Loved the animal carvings and statues. Don't miss the opportunity to go see these.
This place is fun and full of history
Very informative exhibit. Old cabin on site and gift shop.
Wonderful museum and activities; open 7 days a week. Free maps and travel publications. Quaint little gift shop. Picnic tables and benches and beverage machines always accessible. Forest Rangers are always nearby.
They had a lot of cool information and the kids loved going on the old cabins. Though the gift shop was closed when we were there so we never got to go in.
Besides several exhibits showing the history of the forest as well as of Forestry there are several rooms of art dealing with paintings and sculptures and carvings some fantastically beautiful
Unexpected pleasure. Way larger than it appears. Interesting displays.
This place is awesome love the wood story... and how the people work really hard.
So cool! Actually going back this weekend.
It is a neat place to visit. There is a cool information section about forestry with nicely constructed panels that have hand painted murals and recorded information. Stopped in to cool off but was pleasantly surprised. Worth a visit.
Lot of interesting information.

We stopped at the Forest Heritage Center for what we thought would be a good but short visit. A couple hours later we realized we could spend a lot of time there. So much history and amazing art . We were planning a trip back before we ever left. The wonderful lady in the Wood Art display (sorry I didn't get your name) was so knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend a visit for people of all ages. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
Well worth the visit. Our kids had a great time.
great museum lot of cool facts about the lake and area
Nice trails and historic museum. Nice place to bring the family.
Beautiful park. You would think it's just another place in Oklahoma till you get about two miles in. Then you see the park.
Very good museum!!! Must see night visiting Beaver Bend.
So much to see inside. I didn't know that when i got there. I was just walking the trails and saw the place and just got inside and was surprised how much info you get. The art is amazing and the artist are very creative telling the history of Broken Bow area, From trees to water to how the baseball bat was created, Just lots of good information. I am recommending this place, just to stop and get knowledge.
Great Wood Art! No need to drive to Dallas, Oklahoma City or Shreveport. Visit local for gifted craftmenship.
Sue and her 81 year old hudband working as volunteers was a highlight of our visit. Besides be very knowledgeable in history of the area and the spinning trade they were so pleasant and genuine. I appreciated thier good example in marriage and thier positive enthusiasm for life was refreshing.
Nice museum about the history of trees and their place in settling the United States and all the things made of wood from the trees.
Love the nature trail
The people here are awesome! They welcomed us, orientated us and then gave us the low-down of the entire area. They were very gracious and friendly. The ranger came out to meet with me because we were doing a service project for them and he was a soft-spoken guy with a welcoming attitude. This building had clean restrooms, cool decorations and a gift-shop. The outside of the building had some fun decorations as well. We didn't get to see the museum but just talking to the people up front was an indication of how the folks are. Great place, great people and great service!
Nice place
Lots to learn about logging history. Beautiful wood carvings and the wood carver is right there working in front of you. Great gift shop
This place was nice to visit. I went to a small business meeting and while there I looked around. Later that day my friend and I drive around and enjoyed the scenery.
Love the museum!
Beautiful place, well worth the drive, can't wait to go again
A must visit. Kids loved it as well.
Really cool.
Let me start with the good. Beavers Bend State Park is a beautiful area to visit and paddle along the river. We have visited several times and enjoyed ourselves each time. However, we visited this past weekend and were surprised/disappointed when we stopped by the Heritage Center on the way out to pay for our campsite. Our group of 4 adults and 1 toddler stayed for 2 nights at a single campsite in Hickory that consisted of a picnic table, fire ring, and charcoal grill. According to their documentation, a single site should cost $14/night. But when stopping by the Heritage Center to pay our fees, we were asked how many tents and/or hammocks were on the site. We told them 2 tents (3 person tent and 6 person tent) and 3 hammocks so they wrote up the ticket as $84 for the two nights. We explained that it was only 4 adults and a toddler at a single primitive site but they told us that a tent and hammock makes up a unit and that each unit is $14/night. A couple thoughts. First, that would mean they undercharged us. Second, that's robbery. And third, they don't even advertise a "unit" price in the handout they had there at the center. Oddly enough, when questioned about this, several people in the office affirmed that $84 was the correct price. This was the first time we were ever charged this much. As much as we enjoy visiting this place, there is no way we will pay this kind of price again. If a partial refund is not issued and they stand by this as truly being their rate, we will find other places to camp going forward.
Wonderful history of the forest.
Its a nice museum
Seems like they are in the middle of renovations. There were loud construction noises.
We visited the museum it was awesome. My family really enjoyed it.
Nice little center for kids
Nice place but about half way through you will get tired of hearing about wood and forests. Check out the gift shop!
Awesome place to stop and check out some of the history around the area, catch some trails and just hang out.
Great place to stop and get all the info you need.
What makes this office unique is the museum. Most park offices have restrooms, trail maps, people to answer your questions, and even souvenirs. But this one has all of that and a history lesson, too! As you walk around the museum section protected from the heat outside, you can see artifacts and learn about the history of the area. There's even an old cabin outside. They also have some snack machines and a covered picnic area and lots of cool wood carvings, including a totem pole and a bear that's taller than most people. Several trails even start from this location. Be sure to check it out while you're there.
Beautiful visitors center, gift shop, and museum.
Beautiful! Learned a lot!
Can't wait to take our whole family
Awesome place and great history lesson.
Very interesting
Very informative.
Go here every time we visit Beavers Bend. Lots of history... Must see.
Great Staff. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Inside is bigger than what it appears from the outside. Self guided tour with some of the exhibit having audio. They had some pretty neat stuff.
An interesting look into the history of the logging industry and it's sustainability in South eastern Oklahoma.
Nice meseaum, small but still in the park. Cool hiking trails. Camping & trout fishing is absolutely awsome! Park staff is very knowledgeable & helpful. I'd suggest the kayack rides. Got train rides, horses & other activities to enjoy while visiting! I'd say give broken bow a try!
Cool place for the kids
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin and the peace and quiet!
There's some cool stuff in here
Always great to visit
Awesome place to visit as you travel down the curvy winding road thru the national forest area. Museum has lots of information and artifacts to gain knowledge of everything from tree science to forestry to Indians. A very short walk and you will be at the river. I really love all the wooden sculptures that are located here.
Peace and serenity is what comes to mind
Good lesson in history
It was cool but under construction
Its a grate place to visit. Especially for the kids.
Family fun. This was an interesting place that we ran across. It had lots of amazing wood sculptures and beautiful artwork. My kids enjoyed the wood carver that made a spinning top for each of them. And they liked visiting each exhibit and discovering something new. Another family favorite was the 100 yr old cabin. Definitely worth stopping in and enjoying. Its nice to find free family fun when sometimes everything is so expensive.
Favorite museum ever! Visit multiple times a year from texas
Best place for seeing fall colors
It was great especially the train ride
Great local history
Great place to see histery
Very interesting and informative. Great prices at the gift shop. Not too crowded.
There's a nice gift shop, they also have camp wood for sale. Friendly, helpful staff.
Visited for the first time today and really enjoyed it. We would love to visit again and stay longer
Fantastic place. We live in Dallas but always bring family all the way from Colombia. We specially like the look out trail. We have walked with the kids several times.
The Forest Heritage Center is a mouthful but its worth! It has a gift shop to bring the kids, and the adults who like antiques. As soon as you walk in you see huge wooden sculptures and statues. Theu have bathrooms and washrooms so you can clean uo after a long hike. Then you can walk down the hall and find a full on museum! If you press the button on the pole infront of what your looking at, it will give you a short, informational story about that photo or item. Then if you keep following the hall it will take you right back around to the entrance. This way, after your done inside the Heritage Center, if you brought a picnic you can go sit on the park picnic tables right outside. And then you could go into the gift shop for a sweet treat if you have a sweet tooth. Overall... This place is AMAZING!!!
All your info needs can be meet here
Very neat place to see. Informative. Enjoyed the visit.
Gift shop has some pretty stuff, but can get really congested in there because it's so small. Love the shop and displays
Super nice place to enjoy nature and learn about the history of wood. The scenery was very beautiful with excellent breezes.
This was a pretty neat museum and it's free which was awesome. Lots of history about the logging era in OK. Several of the exhibits has informational buttons you can push and it will describe it for you. Pretty cool to check out if you're in the area.
