Great place to take the family for fishing, hiking, biking, swimming and outdoor grilling. Friendly staff, with nice little heated or air-conditioning cabins by the lake, with fire pits, playground for kids RV hookup, indoor and outdoor restrooms, and dog friendly.

This place is nice but it's tight getting campers in and out. Didn't get a chance to check out the bathrooms. Not sure what the cabins are but they were nice on the outside when we drove in.there is lake access on a few of the sites

Our Boy Scout Troop always stops here to eat lunch on our way to Hale Scout Reservation for summer camp. It's a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view. Very clean, and very well kept park.

I like the privacy of the place. There were some upkeep/repairs that needed to be done that had been neglected (for the last several times we have been). The manager was friendly. He did ask that we not take the bedding off when we leave...made me question how often he really does change the sheets when guests leave. Overall, it was affordable and peaceful and the "big" cabin has a great view. There are 3 other smaller, more "primitive" cabins on the other side (area 2) that also have a good view and some play equipment. None of the criticisms would keep us from going back...we will definitely go back (even if we sleep on top of the covers! Ha!).

One of the best places to go camping. I’ve been going there for years since I was a little girl. It’s a tradition every Father’s Day weekend we hold a family reunion and everyone comes down and spends the weekend out there. It may be a little out dated but that is what makes the place so unique in its own way. The wild life is so peaceful and it’s absolutely beautiful down there. This place is like a second home to me.

Perfect weekend! Brought home 30 lbs of catfish. Beautiful water. Lovely camping sites, nice park ranger, clean bathroom. Bulb over outside cleaning station behind bathrooms was blown, had to gut fish via headlights. Maybe fixed when you visit :)

First weekend in May and this campground was rather Quite (empty) great for us because we like the quite. There are cabins to stay in but we have a tent and it is a little over-sized. had a hard time finding a place to put a tent and even if it was small the sites are a little rough and very hilly, looked more like picnic areas. There were a few places to park a RV that was flat but most of them shared water. Restrooms need some repair (guess they were phasing them out for the pay shower) We are trying to make our way through all the state parks in Oklahoma and it looks like with budget cuts this will be easy. (less parks to go to) FYI. we only go to State parks or Federal parks or Corps parks

Visited in the fall and in the spring, both are great times to visit this quiet state park. Cabins are perfect for a small family and affordably priced. Saw eagle, ospreys, great blue herons, beavers, woodpeckers, and caught some decent fish. Really love this place and can't wait to get back again.

Very nice little out-of-the-way park! We enjoyed our stay there and plan to go back as often as possible. Just about 4 miles out of Clayton, OK. Remote and beautiful! We went in the Spring and it was perfect weather. Nice little cabins, too.

Love this place. Nice quiet place to camp. Pines are pretty. Close to lots of fishing. They have nice convenient store just a little ways down the road.(Choctaw. Country Store or Market) i forget what ir is called. We stay at the state park every year labor day weekend when go to the choctaw music festival and fair.

What a beautiful little gem! It's not large - probably not worth driving across Oklahoma for - but if you're close, you couldn't do better than to spend a day enjoying the rolling valley of this park as it meanders down to a small crystalline lake. Everything was so perfect, I felt like I was on some movie set!

This state park is a hidden Jewel. Very nice picnic benches surrounding the small lake. Nice and quiet and scenic. the only thing it lacks is garbage cans near the picnic tables. My wife and I ate a picnic lunch on our way home from far Southeast Oklahoma.

My family and I absolutely LOVE Clayton lake State Park. If you are looking to get away from technology and busy life to nature and peace, come here. Lovely camping sites for tents, r.v's as well as 4 cabins (3 small and 1 large). Fishing, hiking, exploring. Love it.

This is a beautiful park. It's quiet and there's never alot of people traveling through the park. The lake water is always colder than any other lake and you can almost always catch a fish or two. There's wild geese that live there to raise their babies and they're beautiful to watch. The only downfall this park/lake had is that it needs a real beach area instead of what they call the beach. Where's the sand????
