Reminded me of the River walk in San Antonio.Beautiful, loved it great place to visit.
This is a regular park walk around, great to visit with local friends and great to bring visitors.
What a gorgeous tribute to an opening of a new landing and creation called Oklahona
Very nicely done very educational 8 and 14 year old thought it was cool to be able to see live image of the past
Nice way to spend an afternoon in OKC. A little walk into history.
Well lit , nice paths to walk.
Beautiful sculptures depicting the oklahoma land rush.
The sculptures here are AMAZING because of the detail and the drama captured of pioneers and soldiers crossing the river. Truly larger than life figures which really makes an impact. But, judge it for yourself by visiting if you happen to be passing through OKC. You won't be disappointed. There are additional figures of soldiers with a canon and a separate monument to honor the Choctaw Nation. The sculptures are definitely the centerpiece in this beautiful little park with pathways on either side of the canal, water taxis and greenways for everyone, including the birds: from robins to swifts to Canadian geese.
Absolutely neat. I wish Nashville had something like this.
Love walking downtown area in the evening
Really neat sculpture that is incomparable to photos as in real life standing beside it.
Very impressive
Such a nice area with lots of things to explore & eat. The boat ride is my favorite & just learning about OK as a state is interesting. I've done the boat ride 4 times with visiting family & loved it every time.
Absolutely incredible! No detail left out. The expressions on the faces of the people as well as the horses depicts the frenzied emotion of the moment. The sheer size of each piece is truly awe inspiring! Beautiful area too! Plenty of great places to eat & drink along the river walk.
This site exhibits a portrayal of the Oklahoma land run. It has huge bronze statues of horses and cowboys. It is a great place for family's.
Awesome little park. Not really for kids to play much, but they would probably be pretty enthralled with the large statuary. A must see for visitors.
This is such a great walking path. My friend and I spent an afternoon Pokemon Go hunting here.
Very well done almost makes you feel like your in the thick of it. Can't wait to see it when ut is all completed
Lovely place!
Beautiful. Looking for a jumping off point for some Pokemon Go? It doesn't get any better than this! Fantastic, clean, large, safe parking. LOADS of nearby pokestops. Easy access to many, many more place to discover and catch pokemon. And, you are almost guaranteed to run into fellow pokemon-ers every time u visit.
Great park from walking, even a boat ride. Small canal with a guided boat tour. There are giant bronze statues of the pioneers coming to Oklahoma. Make time to visit this beautiful place.
Loved them. Nice clean city
Interesting site. Always good to learn something new and I can't forget to mention how the Sooners out there show you how to make homemade butter! A great pit stop in OKC and it's free!
When in OKC, nice walking trail after a meal
Very impressive.
The monument and walking area are amazing! This little park is very well done and you can also see it by canal boat on the tour, which I also highly recommend! I did it at night and then visited the next morning in the daylight.
Loved this monument. There is so much detail put into the work of each sculpture. Wonderful vision of Oklahoma history
The statues are larger than life and very detailed. And it's on a nice quiet piece of the trail running through Bricktown.
We went on a day that was 103 and no clouds. I would suggest going on a day with clouds if OK has any cloudy days. The statues are beautiful and the area is well maintained and clean. I took a lot of photos. Had a great time for sweating off my rear.
These anarchic, larger than life sculptures, are worth going out of your way to see. They feel like they're in motion with all the promise of the Land Rush and some of the tragedy. They're great and I'd take anyone who visits OK City to see them.
What a wonderful series of monuments so finally detailed. I can hardly wait to see the final two sculptures that are to be added during the next couple of years. It brings our country’s history to life in a manner that could only be described by the workmanship exhibited here. Wonderful!
The statues of the land run are breathtaking and majestic!
This is a huge set of sculptures commemorating the land run, with on Sooner. A lot of work and some humor went into showing the level of frenzy that there must have been at the time to stake our your best claim.
Beautiful new addition since I last visited.
Under construction while we visited, but was a great monument. Great detail. Good historical facts around the area. Nice walking path around the river walk
The Land Run sculpture park is phenomenal. We have been watching the pieces go in, the story unfold in bronze, for 20 years. It brings a part of that history to life. We love bringing guests to this park to share the story. It is a very easy park to walk through.
This is a large-scale sculpture that does a good job of illustrating the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889.
Great statues, big scale!
There are 45 larger-than-life bronze sculptures that capture the moment just after the starting gun fired signaling the opening of the Oklahoma Territory. Frozen in time are the images of frenzied citizens rushing to claim land as a wagon dropped it's load, a rider on horseback stumbles, dogs race to catch up, hats fly, rabbits scurry to get out of the way, carriages race to catch up, horses balk at the a water crossing, etc... This beautiful sculpture wonderfully catches the motion and chaos that ensued that day. It's a great place to chat with a friend and wonder about the back stories of those who participated that day. We spent and hour here and I could have used about 20 minutes longer. It's really worth seeing.
Very interesting place to visit, learn some history and get some exercise.
Beautiful, lifelike bronze sculptures in a natural setting - very impressive. Makes you appreciate the extent of the human event of the Land Run. Would have been better if it was a peaceful, quiet and reflective atmosphere but it is unfortunately next to a noisy interstate highway.
Great to spend time there
Beautiful statues, lovely grounds
Impressive monument
Go walk through there often, The Monuments are breathtaking.
Great place for a leisure walk with the family.
Took the nephew great history here
It'll be even more beautiful when it's completed!
I was expecting great things and was still blown away!
Real neat!
The sculptures depicted early history, amazing
Great place to walk
Pretty impressive monument at the Bricktown's River walk park of Oklahoma city. Sculptures with men and horses, horse carriages, crossing a part of the river, a very good representation of a history part of the area. Very nice spot for memorial photos.
When you want to be the very best.
This needs more promotions. Most people have never heard of it let alone been to it. I think it's one of OKC most missed opportunities. If you have never been here or it has been a while ago. You really need to add this to your places to vist in OKC.
Visited for a 5k, nice.
A lot of history and a very beautiful landscape. Nice walking area!
Great for pokemon go
Very interesting and beautiful.
The statues are awesome, but there should be more story to them. Either the dedication or the literal story of those depicted.. maybe I just missed the plaque, but in that case it should be easier spotted.
Beautiful scenery on a beautiful day!
A place to visit. Great sculptures and history speaks.
This place is awesome, every year it gets better. New sculptures, and better landscaping. I keep coming back year after year.
Nice place but still under construction, it's going to look awesome once it's done
So much information and a real lifelike scene captured in motion. The sculptures tell a story only a life experience could tell. I can't wait to see it finished.
This is a really lovely area! There is a bit of construction and they appear to be redoing the walkways and landscaping, but it is still beautiful. The monument is astounding and you can tell that they continuously add to it. I was walking with a local and they told me that the artist made his own face into one of the men driving a wagon and that some famous Oklahomans are also featured. It has the Riverwalk run right through it and has all natural plants native to Oklahoma. There are many benches and nice shady, relaxing spots to take breaks. There is also a fantastic trail that leads all around and into Brick Town. It is really amazing and worth it for a trip out in the sun.
Massive, incredibly impressive sculpture that evokes the Sooner experience. Awesome work!
Wow, what a great history Marker. Never new this part of the American story.
Loved it! The trail wasnt that long. It was great for an afternoon stroll with the hubby.
We took the boat tour. Most of the greenery was taken out and new things going in. So it looked like it was still under construction. They are huge!! Very very detailed. History of it is quite nice.
What an awesomely extraordinarily Beautiful Family experience. U know U can't imagine how Large and Exceptional the Quality of these Bronze Statues are until you are in their Presence. What Beautiful craftsmanship and true to Life they are. WOW I mean WOW. Thanks Oklahoma city for the Maps project. Finally a GREAT place for BOTH Family and friends. Shalom SHABBAT
This wasn't what we expected. It is a series of 47 statues depicting the OK Land Grab. 2 more will be added soon. It's a lovely walk in a park setting. The statues are beautiful black bronze. Look closely...one has the face of Will Rogers. It takes about 10 minutes to get the full gist of the monuments. It is located on the far side of the Bass Pro Shop's parking lot. A very small sign at the parking lot is your only indication that it's there.
Such a wonderful area!
An utterly beautiful site. Definitely one of the best in Oklahoma. The depiction of our state's history in the arrangement and detail of these massive beautiful Bronze Statues makes me feel so much closer to those that came before me. It is also really nice for walking around and getting in some good exercise. If you happen to be a Pokemon go player it is littered with pokestops period a great place to lower up throw on an incense and catch em all
Stunning!!! So life like. The attention to detail including hoof prints where they cross the water. Truly amazing.
The place is not crowded so you can really have your time looking at the monuments. The park itself where the monument is located at is worth a visit. Plenty of parking spots close to the area and there's a really nice Bass Pro Shop that is worth a visit nearby.
A nice place to visit while you're in the Bricktown area of Oklahoma City
I don't want to say too much about this to spoil it but this Monumental sculpture has got to be seen up close. And the gardens that surround them were well in bloom when we went. Well worth the trip.
A lot of detail and really big. Quite a spectacular sight.
Very awesome and didn't even know it was there, it is located in a very nice walking park.
Very cool place to take a walk and read some history!
Nice river walk near brick town....so several places to eat ....boat rides on river
It's great to see history.
Very cool sculpture and great attention to details.
Luv it ... Very unique and great use of green space and history
Absolutely amazing and emotion filled monument that is unmissable when passing through Oklahoma City! Open 24 hours with no charge and the only caveat is that parking nearby can be difficult but not impossible. There is an electric 'Prairie Schooner' tourist boat that gives guided tours of the canal that includes the sculptures but the best views are obtained by walking amongst them. Highly recommended to all ages.
Incredible sight and so inspiring if you draw
Beautiful made statues in a nicely maintained "park" with native plants, a canal, and walking trails that lead through brick town. Plaque's and signs explain how the statues were made and about the history of the land run.
History insight, easy walk around
Bigger than life
Really impressive! Scale is about 2x life size but super emotional and relatable. The story really is alive in this art installation!
Love this park. New sidewalk look like they will be a great addition after construction is complete. Also a great park for pokestops.
Still a work in progress but very very nice. Paths to walk on, scenic, supposed to be about 10 miles in my length when completed.
Love this park! I cruised around this park on a Bird scooter from the begining to the end. Loved every moment of it. A must to visit whenever you're in OKC!
This is a really neat monument. You are able to walk around these larger than life representations of what it must have been like all those years ago. The area has a very nicely planted walking path and weaves through the Bricktown Canal.
Cool stop ,still being built but what done cool.
It's a very well crafted and designed monument. The surrounding area is a nice place to find shade, have lunch, find quiet. My favorite, was the man on his way down with his horse, ciggy still in his mouth. And the look of the horses about to leap over the water. It all looks like a moment frozen in time.
Very cool and worth seeing
Doing some work on it, but still a pretty cool monument, very detailed. Pretty area to see.
Wonderful display of American history.
So impressive and so detailed! We saw it at night and can't wait to see it during the day. Definitely a must see in bricktown!
Very pretty, maybe more ilumination for people at night would be better
The detail of the statues are incredible. Worth taking the walking paths to look at them all. 43 total are installed, 2 more to be erected. The river boat ride didn't do them justice.
Fun and very enlightening.
What a cool monument! It’s extremely intricate and spreds across the area. It was my first time in Oklahoma and I learned a lot about the states history from the site!
It will be even better when they finish the upgrades. Really enjoyed the time we spent there.
Pretty cool. Kids had fun
Great place to walk around. It's well-lit and well-maintained. It also links to the river trail, which could take you all the way to Lake Hefner if you're not careful.
Just a beautiful place
Very cool not yet finished.
Great art work and fine details. It is very life like.
Beautiful place, I love Oklahoma
If you have a few minutes extra, it's nice to see it.
Absolutely a show stopper
Interesting place to visit
Awesome bronze...lots of action...impressed with how many different figures are included.
Very interesting monument worth the stop.
