Wonderful experience and a fair price. I was so favorably impressed with the Bricktown Canal and all the beautiful scenery, birds, restaurants, hotels and businesses in the Bricktown, Oklahoma City area. The Bricktown Water Taxi is THE way to take it all in and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The quality of the tour guides varies with some being very knowledgeable about the history of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma City downtown and Bricktown itself while some "boat captains" are obviously rather new to the area and still learning. But nevertheless, I highly recommend the Bricktown Water Taxi.
It was fun and informative but short. The river is not very long.
My family, and I just took a taxi tour with Aaron L. as our driver. He was great! Very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the history, and sights along the canal. We would definitely take a tour with him again. Thanks, Aaron!
Good friendly professional service, safe and clean
This is a great little ride through the canal. The boat captains are fun and have some interesting information about OKC and Bricktown.
Aaron was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable.
Awesome over night get away
Amazing place, and the guides are very engaging and knowledgeable
Good ride, to know about the history of the city.
Love the stories and information during the ride!
This operation is NOT a water taxi. It is a 40 minute captive infomercial. Some of the info was interesting, the rest was gratuitous commercial plugs for establishments along the route. I paid ~$50 bucks for my group, only to sit in front of an empty boat at the ONLY boarding area (the place with the pizza buffet mentioned in previous reviews) for 15 minutes. The operator finally returned and we got loaded and underway. If you expect a water taxi, please don’t make my mistake, save your money...
This is better than going to a museum if you want a quick history of Oklahoma. It also offer's great Chance's to take pictures as the ride proceeds though the water way.
Very interesting & informative tour. I would highly recommend it. You learn about OKC history & have fun at the same time.
Enjoyable tour and knowledgeable guide. If only he could have slowed down the speed of his voice. Irritating.
Went to walk around for the day, unaware it was a event day. Party like the 1999s it was really amazing. Because we had my step daughter from outta state. And was low on funds since we was taken her home the next day. So we knew from being down there the night before that her whole family to ride it would be about $50 but that day tickets were half off we only gothe to ride once but it was really cool. Only thing is.... they should incorporate the indigenous tribes into the tour considering the land was built on their Blood Sweat and Tears. Yet you hear a lot about the greedy wHite mend who got stolen land dirt cheap
This is a wonderful Oklahoma City attraction with exceptional customer service.
We had a wonderful tour of Bricktown with Daniel. The water taxi is a great way to get a feel for Bricktown and decide what you want to do. The Oklahoma Land Run monument was really cool! Daniel was upbeat and entertaining. We loved it.
Was well worth the 11 dollars. It's more like a city tour than an actual water taxi. We had a great driver/guide. He was very funny, friendly, and knowledgeable about the city. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city to check it out.
Very funny guide. Lots of history I didn't know
We enjoy the water taxi. It's a short ride but you can ride all day unlimited. Great for a date night. The area has many attractions near to eat, arcade, mini golf, ice cream even white water man made rapids if you'd like. Make a day of it.
Excellent service. Great customer service.
Loved the host/driver. Very knowledgeable AND personable. A rare but delightful mix. Learned more about Oklahoma in those 20min then in the 4+ yrs of living here
Amazing statues must see
Great for cost. Love that the 11 dollar pass is good all day. You can get off at stops, shop or eat. Get back on with digital pass. The only down side was the guide talked non stop the whole trip. The history provided was great. But less chatter would have been nice.
Fun and interesting ride.
It's fun for getting historic information about Oklahoma and the downtown OKC area during a relaxing trip down the canal.
20 minutes per ride, at $11 a person. Best thing about the water taxi is that it takes you to the giant statuary along play Canal. Otherwise, not a must to do.
Water Taxi is always a fun and informative experience. I always take my clients on a ride and they love it! If you only have a few hours in OKC, I suggest Water Taxi and the OKC Memorial. You will learn more abt OKC's recent history than anywhere else. A must do!
Too many people on boat to real enjoy tour.
Interesting tour guides. Your ticket is good all day so try out all the boat captains. Each tells the story with a little twist
An awesome tour ride of the OKC canal. Great for the whole family!
Good attraction for people from all ages there stuff for kids and adults
Wonderful experience. Our driver was very informative. Very educational tour. Learned lots of history of Oklahoma
It was fun. Nice family outing. Driver of the boat was really into his job. He acted like he loved it. No wait in line for hours. We try to go every year as a group. Dont always work that way but we still have fun. Thanks
Very relaxing and informative.
Aaron L. made the water taxi the highlight of our day. His mix between history and jokes had us informed and laughing the whole time. Definitely worth the ticket price because you get to use it all day! Keep up the great work!
The aptmosohere is amazing here walking, mini golf, shopping eating out, rock climbing, water taxi etc...we will be coming back to relaxe
Loved it!!! For the 2nd time
It was fun. And we learned a few facts. The drivers do take tips which is bad to figure out after you have already left
Tour was very interesting and fun. A ticket let's you ride the taxi all day.
Its ok..glad i did it but once was enough..tickets are too high at 11$ forv25 minutes ride..views are interesting and nice..our tour guide was kind of obnoxious again. Once plenty
Its was pretty cool our driver was super funny and very entertaining, loved the art sculptures and mosaic painting!
Was a nice boat ride but very short tour, for the price.
A great tour and great tour guide. . . He was very knowledgeable. . .
Our guide JULIA was great! She was funny, nice and very knowledgeable. The boat ride was pretty - waterfalls, ducks, geese, flowers, and the land run statues (very cool). We went on a Monday so the boat was not crowded at all (five in my group, and a couple). The only downside was the price - $56 for my group of five. It was still nice and I would highly recommend it, but probably wouldn't go again just because of the price.
Great history lesson and awesome statues.
This was awesome and very romantic. Something for couples and familes with smaller kids. It was very fun.
The history of the canal and city are worth the short trip.
Loved all the history our taxi guide gave us. All the sights were beautiful
Excellent ride with commentary
Was nice ride for the price. Pay once and can ride as many times as you want the same day
Nice, inexpensive water tour that you can ride as many times as you want the day of purchase.
Great for evening stroll or just want to relax
First time to Bricktown and we LOVED it ! We Will be going back. Awesome time and have a wonderful time with the water taxi!
Neat walk along the water thru the down town!! lots of eating places along there and the water tour too!! eat pizza buffet in downstairs Monopolies!! it's great!! Free ice cream with buffet and the ducks are cool to watch!! water front eating!!
Little pricey but great tour guide, lots of fun facts and information.
It's a very beautiful scenery especially during the month of July and August the river all right will take you to restaurants, the movie theater, shopping centers and even the baseball field. The Greenery is very beautiful and nice.
Daylen, our captain, was so awesome!! Very easy process to get tix online. Had a good time and heard about some cool OKC history. There are cool murals, mosaics, and a lot of other interesting things to see!
Fun family activity if you are Bricktown OKC.
What a fun way to get a little bit of history and see the beautiful canal area. The ride is rather short but packs in lots of info. Conner was a fun 'captain' of our boat.
A very cool canal ride through Bricktown. The 45 minute ride is narrated. Expect details descriptions of murals, sculpture, construction of the canal, history of the area/canal and information about all the restaurants and establishments you pass. Enjoyable and educational. Fare is reasonable and is good all day.
Learned a few things about Oklahoma. Very enjoyable.
To be honest, this needs to cost about $5-7 dollars for an adult. You get a short ride on a canal. The views were ok and a couple of times interesting. It would be best if u were bar hoping because you could get on and off, but we rode it once, weren’t impressed with the lackluster things to see, and then went home. Paid almost $50 for my family of 5. What a waste!
Super fun the kids loved it looking at all the sites on the water.
Great little ride, with all day access
Our Attendant Brian was very knowledgeable about the History of the Bricktown Scenery!
It was so cool because I have left a lot. Did you know that Oklahoma State vegetable is a watermelon
We stopped in OKC for the night and went to the Water Taxi tours and had a great time. We had the guide Aaron L and he is funny and very informative we definitely recommend this tour and request Aaron L if you can !!!! Thanks Aaron for the enjoyable tour.
The people are really sweet and it is a cute little ride but it is such a short little trip that it isn't really worth the money.
We had a fun time with our tour guides.
Nice tour. Captain Connor was great
For $11 per adult, it was a nicely done guided tour of the history of the city. Well worth it. Captain was knowledgeable and entertaining.
shoutout to the people who got off the taxi to listen to my friends and i busk.
Enjoyable ride. Great driver/host. Informative and funny.
Amazing Staff.
Great place! Had a blast with me kids. The captain was funny and had one heck of a fish story to tell
Great tour guide. I learned much about the OKC area. Great service at the window. Friendly people in the entire Bricktown area. Will be back soon.
Bricktown water taxi can give a nice ride around the downtown. You can see beautiful things along the ride. The price of water taxi is around 12$. There are roads, parks, trees fountains, cattle monument and garden comes along the ride. For weekend family time this taxi is a great recreation.
Was crazy hot but the guy was funny and very knowledgeable
I'm a visitor to OKC, and so was my girlfriend and our 5 year old. We heard the water taxi was a must visit and I'm very glad we did. The tour guides were very pleasant and their dad jokes were appreciated. I learned things about the city I wouldn't haven't learned otherwise, and it was nice being able to get off at designated stops. In fact, we parked our car by the movie theater and used the water taxi to drop us off basically right next to our car. With it being a hot August summer day, that was definitely a perk for us. The taxi ride itself is short but sweet. I wish there was more to the river to see, but it does a great job of covering the Bricktown places you'd probably like to visit. I'm from Miami, and I wish we had something like this.
Our captain was very funny! He had a lot of great personal anecdotes, and also provided us a detailed history of Bricktown. Additionally, we learned a good deal about the history of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City. Overall, worth the money for the ride. It is a good way to punctuate a long day of sightseeing if you're visiting the city like I was.
I absolutely love riding this boat. Whenever I have family members visit this is the place that I bring them to.
Fun brief history of Bricktown and canal with a humorous driver/guide. Lots of smiles and "oh really?"s. Family friendly. Good chance to see what's along the water including restaurants if you want to explore before choosing a place to eat.
Captain Lloyd did a great job of telling the local history and is very knowledgeable about all the restaurants and activities in bricktown. He deserves a raise !
Fun little float. Guide was funny and interesting. At some point floating along, enjoying the tour I realized I had become my parents.
We haven't been there in ten years, and they changed it a bit. It is a little longer, but better.
Super friendly & engaging driver.
Taxi was awesome.. so was the guide... as a tourist it was neat to see the statues and hear a little history
It was nice, the tour guide had a lot of good history and banter about the art and architecture on the ride.
The Bricktown Water Taxi ride was a guided boat ride site-seeing experience on the Bricktown man-made river. Reasonable rate ($11 for adults). Cool things to see. Loved seeing the birds, ducks and geese along the route. Our guide was engaging and well-informed and made it fun. The ride itself was not too long so it was easy to do (45 min maybe?). Taking the water taxi ride first really gave us a good feel for the shops and restaurants that align the river so we knew what we wanted to go back and experience further on foot after the ride was over. We did this in the day time but would like to do it again at night.
You get to learn so much Oklahoma history our taxi driver Aaron was great & funny
Had a great time and will definitely come back on our next visit
Love this place. A definitely must see. So much to do & beautiful attachments.
beautiful scenery. guide was great. just wasnt as long as id hoped and full of people. so not quite a relaxing peaceful experience when you are inches away from someone and face to face w someone you dont know..
Great experience, was rushed on Saturday night, very little talking by the driver. Went down and back quickly at 930pm, as opposed to a week ago when went about 6pm on a Saturday and trip was slow and lots of information by the driver..
Our driver hit the side of the canal several times. The driver used to talk about the history of the canal also.
A must do if your in bricktown, Micheal was a book of knowledge, and there was some fantastic scenery
The only reason I’m giving this place four Stars is that the ”Wish Bridge” truly I wish it was bigger going through that little tight spot it’s very difficult but the day I went it was a nice clean breeze it wasn’t that hot my tour guy explained things and had a great sense of humor...
I just want to say our taxi driver, I believe his name was Dallin, was outstanding friendly very informative and really made our trip worthwhile and amazing. We rode the water taxi about 8 in the evening on July 2nd. We will definitely tell everybody about this fantastic Adventure.
Gave me a San Antonio feel. Tour guide was great. We were able to take really nice pictures along the route. Just wished it was a little longer.
Our family enjoyed getting on the water taxi and hearing a little of OKC's history. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about their city. Some of them are also very funny. You can take the whole ride and listen to the tour. You can also get off at any stop along the way. Your ticket is good for the whole day. You can buy them via the mobile AP or at a ticker booth. There are numerous places to eat along the canal. There is also an arcade and a mini golf course. This is a great way to see the canal without having to walk all of it.
A fun place to relax.
Overall pretty good. We enjoyed the narrative, but was expecting a bit more from the actual presentation and a bit more for the money.
Fun little cruise with amazing history!
Guid was wel trained and very funy
Amazing view! Just a beautiful setting to have a beautiful evening. I truly do recommend this attraction to anyone with plans of having a good day!
Oh all I have to say is beautiful people go out have some nature fun.
We just walked around, but can't wait to go back out there and ride the boats
Good boat tour.. Definetly a thing to do if you visit OKC
Pretty neat, just wish it was longer with more scenery than one small section.
Nice cheap date, 11$ a person.
Very cool.
Aaron was a full of fun facts and made our family scavenger hunt competition a wonderful experience!
Wonderful tour of the canal and incredibly in depth history of the area from the boat captain. Well worth taking this ride.
So much fun and lots to do. Definitely returning!!!
Enjoyed the boat ride and history lesson
A relaxing way to spend some time in Bricktown. Interesting facts & fiction from the boat "captain".
Excellent service, friendly staff!!! Very fun ride!!!
Great thing to do while in OKC! tour guide was the best .
Ride was great, very enjoyable and our captain did an amazing job keeping us entertained.
LOVED OUR SISTA'S TRIP FOR THE CELEBRATION OF MY SIS BIRTHDAY!!!
Had a nice time very entertaining
It's good especially if 1st time
Nice area to visit when in OKC....the boat taxi was neat..you the history of bricktown..our boat guide made the ride fun and insightful. Lots to do We played putt-putt
Just moved here and it was great learning a little about the downtown area. Our boat captain was very personable which made the experience even better.
Very relaxing and our tour guide was grear
Very cool how the city is set up. Love the water way.
Had sooo much fun with the family. The guides are always funny and knowledgeable. It's a fun thing to do with a date or the family when you're looking for something local and reasonably priced. Do yourself a favor and order your tickets a head of time!!
Tour guide was okay. Great idea. Didn't realize that bricktown was primarily restaurants and bars with no shopping.
The weather was perfect. The driver nice and friendly.
It was a very nice relaxing water ride. Captain tour guides were polite and gave bits and pieces of history along the canal and Oklahoma. We rode two taxis and each gave different accounts of some of the history. The company may want to educate their captain tour guides together. Over all, it was a nice ride.
Very pretty, good food. Enjoyed it
It was very interesting. Something different and a good value.
Definitely worth the time! You get a short history of OKC too.
The ride was okay. Calming. The captain was kinda lame. The real problem...his knowledge of the land run. My wife is Native American. She learned the history from her Elders. As most Natives did. Maybe you should consult with the ones who lost their land over that run. You pretend to educate the passengers. Educate yourselves first. You might get more stars.
This was fun and I learned some history!
Nice ride and historical data. Loved it
It doesn't compare with Riverwalk in San Antonio but it's a nice gateway. It is a short ride with pretty boring sights except for the Sooners monument. The ride is $11,and it is worth. Great ride for kids or grampas.
