This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of Historical landmark.
Very round and very red. A quaint old village.
Fascinating to see how this was made.
I love visiting the Round Barn especially on the second Sunday of the month when they have musicians come and play Upstairs At The Loft.
Cool little tourist stop
So cool. Gotta see
This is a fun place to stop and visit if you're in the area. It's amazing how tall the ceiling is in the upper room if the barn. They also have a garage sale type store in the lower part which is used to raise money to keep the round barn going.
Another Route 66 must see. The restored round barn has an amazing story, told well with photos along one side inside. The loft is worth it if you like wood construction or really art. It's really interesting as well as beautiful. The artifacts on display are great and labeled well so you don't have to guess at what they were for. It's a great stop for some Oklahoma, as well as Route 66 history.
Very neat and interesting place to visit.
The Arcadia Round Barn sits right snack on Route 66 in Oklahoma, so you won’t miss it! Built in 1898 and since restored, it is an awesome two-storey barn without corners
Always enjoy visiting!
It's a historic place loved it
Unique design and construction
What an awesome historical treasure and there is a little fella that loves to tell the story about this barn. He is a treasure from God.
Nice friendly.
Went to listen to the morning band, and see some old time Fords
Great local tourist stop just east of Pops in Arcadia. A very interesting rounded Barn used not only is a tourist destination but it also functions as the Arcadia Historical Society building. The Upper Floor is empty as it is rented out to guests for things such as weddings dinners and other things. Truly a very interesting all the above place.
Great little souvenir shop and an incredible piece of history!
Very cool. Has history things to read
Beautiful place. No A/C, though.
Cool place. Awesome history.
So much history on Route 66. This barn is a must see. Awesome little gift shop and museum.
Interesting place to visit if you like to learn from the past! Also an amazing 91 year old man will talk about his past and the Barn's
It's a really cool even if small architectural feat. I learned a lot about the history of barns and history of Oklahoma as well as route 66.
A historic landmark for all to see
Was an interesting place the round barn
Cute place to visit.. not what I expected
Absolutely beautiful barn, really worth the stop.
Loved this place, first time there, very impressive.
Really neat, worth the stop
Great history and great stories
Restored barn on route 66. Very unique. Nice that you can see the framing on the inside. Would be a great wedding venue.
Great picture opportunity and history
Very interesting barn. I wonder why we don't build more round buildings especially with the wind out here. Make sure to get there before 5so you can go in. There was a wedding going on when we got there after 6.
Beautiful upstairs. Perfect for rustic events.
It was great adventure.. loved the architecture.
Very cool gotta check it out
To me this is a really cool landmark. If you get the chance to stop by you should. Just to see how it was all made back in the day.
Fun history & free. The kids loved it.
Very nice 1880s round barn along old 66. Be sure to check on the top floor, stand in the middle and hear the echos. Super cool!
Great attraction. Lovely staff. Very interesting and singing and guitar playing on the side. Very highly recommended for around 30 minutes for a visit
Interesting place to go to that has history.
Much history and people to relate it. A definite stop on 66!
This historic building on the Mother Road, Route 66 is not to be missed. Admission is free. Great information on how it was saved and restored. There are restrooms and lovely grounds to wander.
Delicious breakfast! Great prices! Excellent service! What a fun stop!
Like most things on Route 66, the Arcadia Round Barn is unique. A must stop. Ask the workers about the history and building's architecture.
Like stepping back in history. I love how the gift shop has all the hard story about the barn. So cool!
The barn is beautiful and the staff were very nice.
Amazing structure especially given when this was originally built. My appreciation for those hard working volunteers who have given their precious time to save this building for future generations.
It was fun but anticlimactic. However I enjoyed seeing this small piece of Oklahoma history.
Not a bad rest stop. A free place to stretch your legs and see some history. There is free live music on the weekends. Maybe I'll be back to experience that sometime.
Unique and interesting the round barn is a route 66 classic icon. But sure and check out the incredible design and craftmanship it took to make this round barn. Since there is no fee to see the barn it is nice to get a tee shirt or at least make a small donation. It is not mandatory, but I think it's nice to support this old and beautiful structure.
Neat piece of history to see!
My granddaughter and I just loved it also with the country singing that we sit and listen to.
The Round Barn in Arcadia, OK, is a historic land Mark on route 66. You will find interesting artifacts inside and out and Admission is FREE. There's a souvenir shop and an upstairs loft you can rent, used for weddings and parties. The price is very reasonable. Tables and chairs are provided. PLUS, as an added attraction, the second Sunday of the month is Round Barn Rendezvous, hosting blue grass music. So, bring the ENTIRE FAMILY & enjoy the fun and hospitality!!!
Interesting stop along the famous Route 66. Upstairs is for special events. Quick tour, coffee shop nearby but we went to Pops instead. Only takes a few minutes to visit this unique piece of history and architecture. Free . Limited hours.
Nice place to take a date, off of Route 66
Very nice place an very nice people
Well preserved piece of history. The caretakers were excited to share their knowledge about the building. Definitely worth the stop if you are near by.
Loved the old gentleman who gave us the tour! Very interesting and informative!
this is a wonderful piece of history that has been restored and preserved. The bottom has old artifacts and a gift shop very reasonably priced. The loft upstairs has amazing acoustics and the ceiling is amazing. It is free to visit though donations help. It's about a half hour stop through so if you are in the area check it out.
This historic round barn is a great roadside attraction to stop and see whilst travelling on Route 66. Admission is free. There is information about the barn, a shop with some interesting second hand items and the all important restrooms.
It was a great place too see! Id say go down the street and try pops however good luck XD and they are not cheap you have been warned. But definitely look at the barn!
Another Route 66 stop. I will say that this barn is huge. Very friendly staff and a lot of memorabilia and history. Glad that i was able to take it all in.
Cool place. Worth a stop.
A well maintained piece of American history. The lower half of the barn has been set up as a museum with old farm equipment & History of the area & Rte 66. The upstairs is used for dances and more. There is a viewing area across the street from the barn & parking behind the barn. Bathroom facilities are on site.
Nice place to get a crash course of The Mother Road of Route 66. And this Uniquely designed Round Barn. It's AWESOME to know and see how well they've preserved this Building. The History and perseverance to get Route 66 started is something everyone should hear and know of. Times likes this are what REALLY make you remember the Impossible IS Possible!! They've got GREAT artifacts of Route 66 and their history as well, don't forget to take a look in the "loft" area, you'll be mesmerized for sure!! Very enjoyable for those that Love to learn and know the History of the Good'Ol Days!!!
Another great stop on Route 66 lots of History here. if you're lucky Mr. Sam may be there and is a local from the Valley since the early 1900s you'll get to hear the history straight from him of the Round Barn and his secret to long life.
Great piece of history on Route 66
It has many interesting items to see, read about, and for sale. No a/c was the only draw back.
Got to see it it's unique
Worth a stop if you're in the area
Very fun. We had a blast hearing the stories of the old days.
Fun filled info and neat day trip to go with pops..
Great history and fun things to learn.
Pretty cool find right off route 66. Pleasant surprise being entertained by a trio of singers playing instruments.. super cool way to pass the time ina road trip! Lots of history to learn about and some neat gifts too! CHECK it OUT!
Great interesting historical restored round barn. The only one in the world!
Historic and unique..
What a beautiful barn. The volunteer staff are very friendly and informative. Would make a wonderful setting for a private party.
This is a really unique stop on Route 66 run by volunteers and open to the public every day. Downstairs is a gift shop with lots of antiques and novelties to peruse, and upstairs is an area where they host events and it can be rented for private events.
Unique space upstairs. It's a huge round barn and you can rent the upper floor for events for less than $500 for a weekend night. The lower level has antiques and knick knacks for sale. When we were there a small band was performing.
Really impressive! Loved the architecture and all the old timey machinery. Def a good place to stop by when the to OKC
Pretty interesting original build and reconstruction.
Very Very Interesting
It was closed. Literally a round barn in the middle of nothing. It is, however, only a few blocks from Pop's so worth it for the selfie.
Very interesting place to visit so much history and knowledgeable people there to answer all our questions. Definitely a place to stop by and learn route 66 history
A venue like no other! My son had his wedding here. It was wonderful. The rustic atmosphere was just the right touch. I highly recommend it.
It was cool lady at the register was mean but other than that it was fine
Interesting building. And the clerk (can't remember hus name) was very informative!
This is a small but really nice stop and walk.
We got there too late to go inside, much to our disappointment, but it was still very cool to see. It is bright red and beautifully maintained. There are old implements seemingly randomly placed around the circumference of the barn and much to my surprise, I found them quite interesting. It is located right on Route 66 (not far from POP) and we parked in a small area in front of the barn right there on Route 66. Once we walked up to the barn, we could see there was a proper parking area there (a lot safer than dashing across the road).Go on time and enjoy this. From what I have read, the second floor of the barn is an architectural masterpiece.
It's neat to see, but not a lot to do there..
Great place. Interesting information!
An awesome stop. Lots to read inside barn, gift shop, bathroom break then up in the loft. Amazing. Don't use the wrong bathroom!!
Truly Americana, If in the area, you should stop by for a bit, its worth the stop. If you can go upstairs, you should and listen to the acoustics under the dome.
I can’t say enough about Mr. Sam and his stories!! So much history with this barn, the area, and his family! So much has gone on to restore this barn from collapse! I recommend visiting the old filling station just west of the Round Barn and reading the info Mr Sam put out front that tells of the trouble the original owners got themselves into!
Cool place to visit, just to say you did.
A great bit of history,, got to go see to see the out side. This is the roof inside and a shot across the up stairs.
A very cool historical place to visit, and the V.W. show was just icing on the cake. :)
Almost passed it, but caught a glimpse of it when driving by, and thought hey, that's supposed to be one of the sites on the Route 66 map. So we went back to check it out. Downstairs was like a little museum/gift shop, mostly with historical stuff like old farm equipment or other items used around the house. There's a little area where kids can color. Upstairs is a huge open one-room wooden floor area. Looks like they use it as a venue for special events. Worth a stop, especially if you like to see pictures and paraphernalia of how people lived yesteryear.
It is a barn ... We have them all over at home.
It was a nice building, and the singing was nice as well.
Such an amazing cite to go and visit!
This is an amazing place. :)
At first I wasn't going to stop just another road side attraction on Rt 66 but of course that's the point isn't it, I'm glad that I did it was amazing to see the mechanics that went in to building this round barn especially considering when it was built how did they build it and better yet how did they shingle it all the way to the top quite amazing, if you are ever going through Arcadia on Route 66 be sure and stop you will be glad you did.
a terrific place to go for a flash back in time.
Cool old barn
Very unique. Nice bathrooms and free wifi.
Great historic place to visit. Excellent restoration
I liked it. It was interesting to see the history of that barn and the surrounding area. Lots of vintage tools and household items on display.
The Round Barn in Arcadia is a historic land Mark on route 66. You will find interesting artifacts inside and out. Have souvenir shop and upstairs loft used to host weddings and parties. Price is very reasonable. Tables and chairs are already there. On the second Sunday of the month is Round Barn Rendezvous hosting blue grass music.
Amazing this place is still standing. Lots of history and cool antiques.
Very interesting place. Vice clientele. Will go again. Great parking also.
Pretty neat!! If your close by you need to stop!!
Another Route 66 stop.
History in the middle of Oklahoma County is a rarity. This is a nice pitstop off 66 highway. Not far from the 66 stop gas station and Pops station. A voluntary service still offered for travellers. Worth the stop!
Amazing architecture from so long ago. Another checked off item on our Route 66 family bucket list!!!
Very much a great place
One man was very informative
Oh my word! This place is so cool. The architecture of this barn is a work of art! The view of the ceiling downstairs is incredible but the ceiling upstairs, WOW!! I loved it
Beautiful, historic, & many old fashioned farm equipment.
Wow just the design of this board is mind boggling. The beauty of this old barn speaks to your soul.
This is just a really cool barn! Amazing to see.
Very nice and the people will tell you all kind of stories.
A definitely must stop during the Route 66 journey. It’s free admission and the barn is full of memorabilia. I found they sell the cheapest Route 66 souvenirs! :) Parking is at the back at the barn, so drive your car to the back. Don’t …
Very cool piece of history
Great information on history
Fun and exciting. Great for kids and very nice environment.
Great little historical piece. Makes for a fun weekend outing especially if you stop at Pops afterwards. Make sure you visit the upstairs area in the barn, very beautiful construction.
YES! this FREE stop was beautiful. The shop on the lower level has some great prices as well and some historic souvenirs. Be sure to inquire about and read up on the history of the building while you're here. Oh, and take a peak out the second story window! Gorgeous!
I had a wonderful time
Delightful place and staff.
Most unique building I have ever seen. Worth the visit
Great Oklahoman historical monument my brother had his wedding here it is great for pictures.
Neat building, fun little stop on Route 66.
Great acoustics up stairs! Tour guide told us lots of interesting facts and history of barn plus the surrounding area
A real treat, steeped in history of communities coming together in times of need xx
Historic and unique old farm building, and museum
Good structure and man told stories
Good little route 66 detour lots of educational stuff and anything you buy is very low priced especially considering it's a 66 stop. Nothing too exciting for little ones but still worth stopping
Very cool preservation of Oklahoma's history. Extremely nice staff and interesting articles of the barns history located in the downstairs museum. Although it is free to enter, show them a little love and throw a couple bucks in the …
It's a great, well kept roadside attraction!
Very nice. Large upstairs room for parties, etc Friendly. Helpful.
America is loaded with tourist attractions, some of which stand out in your memory due to their immense size, natural beauty, etc. Others grab your attention because they offer something you don’t normally see and the Round Barn is one of them. Situated on historic Route 66 in Arcadia, Oklahoma, the Round Barn is an unusual piece of architecture. It is one of the few barns anywhere that is round in shape rather than square, rectangular, hexagonal, or some other polygon shape. I had never seen a barn that was round and its uniqueness was reason enough to stop and take a look. Walking inside of the Round Barn guests will find a museum of sorts and a gift shop. I recommend learning more about the inspiration behind the construction of this barn, and you can do this right here on the main level. A souvenir gift is a good way to conclude your visit. The Round Barn does have an upper level, but I walked up here and discovered that it is empty. I inquired and learned that it is rented out to people/groups for private parties and events. Some people walk up to this level so they can take pictures from the windows, but other than that, there is really nothing up here to speak of. Going to the outside of the Round Barn, you will find a restroom, some antique farm equipment, and a parking lot in the back. Admission to this attraction is free and it takes an hour or less to visit. It’s not anything super- amazing, no. But the Round Barn is an attraction like few others and this is reason enough to add this to your vacation itinerary the next time you’re road tripping through Oklahoma.
Another great Rt 66 roadside attraction. Round barn
Fun, unique and historic stop along the mother road Route 66. They have a map that you can place pins on to show where you are from, it's a world map, folks come from all over to experience 66, met some people riding motorcycles from Puerto Rico! They have some Route 66 gift shop stuff but mostly it's just the iconic stop and getting to meet people traveling through. The barn, it's cool too, very well preserved, interesting structure from an engineering standpoint. Lots of parking in back!
Awesome place to see
Very interesting. The docent is very knowledgeable. I would like to come back for a jam session because I can only imagine the great acoustics upstairs.
Big red round barn down the road from pops
