I really don’t like giving poor ratings, especially to small businesses, but our experience was very disappointing. On 4/5/19, we bought tickets and were thrilled to take this ride over the beautiful Turner Falls. Our phones were taken from us and there were no cameras in operation. A big part of zip lining is capturing the landscape from another angle. I understand that objects can get dropped, so our phones being taken was one thing, but the guy was very rude about it and there were alternate options he could have kindly offered. For example, in the souvenir shop, they sell phone holders that wrap about the neck. We would have been happy to buy one to use, allowing us to capture the landscape below us. The ride was quick and not in a really exciting way. It was slow, and felt more like a ski lift. When the ride was over, I asked the man operating the zip line to snap a photo of us while we were still strapped in and he refused. I’m very compassionate and always remind myself of the humanity in others. But this was something that could have been a memory that we’d remember forever. The kind we tell all our friends, post on social media, and encourage others to experience. Unfortunately, the man was so rude, and had an “I hate my job, life, and you for making me do this” vibe. He had a long beard and really ruined something we were so excited about. There wasn’t a line or anyone waiting. He could have at the very least showed a little kindness.
