we stopped here because there was a gas station nearby. if you look carefully you can see a small access gravel road right to it. There is a small little park and a bench as well. There are also directions on a sign for how to obtain the best photo of the crane. Not something amazing, just a quick photo op.

Parking area is a bit rough, but this is definitely a large crane! There's an interesting setup to the left of the crane (if you are looking at the area from the parking lot) to assist with taking decent photos. Some information boards provided some interesting reading about local birding.

Cindy Hatella

We liked how we were instructed to take the best possible photo from the hill!! Lacking talking trail!

Katie Neumiller

A fantastic crane and plenty of room for trailer parking! The signs guiding you on how to get the best pictures are a lovely touch.

Nothing too spectacular. But if you're looking for roadside attractions, this is certainly one of them. Good for photo opportunity and a little education (with information kiosks around the area).

It's a giant crane. Kind of cool because many people don't realize that North Dakota has a population of cranes that frequent the rivers and lakes. This particular oversized crane is visible from the interstate. My martial arts crew has a tradition of saluting it as we pass, as the crane is considered a teacher and sign of good luck in Eastern martial arts traditions.
