Great place. We only stayed a quick night driving cross country.

We almost had the place to ourselves because It was almost off season. The shower house is awesome. It's heated and neat as a pin. The park is well maintained. Only one employee on hand but she stopped by to see if we needed anything. Self check in wasn't tough. You need a cell phone though and a credit card with this method. Check or cash are accepted as well with a drop box. No cell phone needed with this method. Honor system somewhat. A nice dock for fishing but you can't eat the fish because of algae problem. This place is very dark at night with not much lighting.

Michael DeRosa

This is a great little park!! Well maintained with good shore fishing, clean swimming beach and cool little atmosphere. Campsites are not piled on top of each other like some of the other state parks. The rangers are super friendly and helpful. A couple things to keep in mind: If your camping make sure you have plenty of hose to hook up to water (at least 75-100ft) the hydrants are a ways a away and have a Y connection as you do share with another spot. Also the lake is only about 7 ft deep at the deepest so it turns green early in the summer (by mid June) other than that its a great hidden little gem.
