We hiked Carrick Creek trail on a rainy Saturday and it was ethereally beautiful. The water was running high, and the ranger explained well where we would encounter ankle deep water in one segment. We went anyway, and are glad we did. Surprising amount of people on trail, many with unleashed dogs
Beautiful. Devil's kitchen was fun!
You just can't beat nature's beauty
I can not say enough about Caesars Head! Such a beautiful and breathtaking Vista, and amazing place to bring family for a short trip in the Upstate.
Beautiful sights, friendly staff. Can't wait to visit again when my kids get older and can really appreciate the view
Awesome hike to Rainbow Falls. The family had a great time!
Beautiful. I have walked these trails and they are challenging and breathtaking. I once met a 90 year old woman who was just walking to the trailhead and had a wonderful conversation with her.
This whole area is amazing and so gorgeous!! Our drive and stop at Pretty Place was just what we needed to feel refreshed!!
Love the hikinh challenges in this park
Amazing views! Stunning!
Very beautiful place to go
gorgeous. absolutely gorgeous. everything about this is amazing. the view is beautiful, it is well worth the drive. It's breathtaking. once in a lifetime experience.
Clean beautiful scenery enjoyable time
Beautiful location we were surrounded by the clouds but once they broke up we could see for miles.
Absolutely beautiful spot to sit and have lunch and snap a few pics.
Families family has cabin around there. Absolutely Beautiful and Peaceful, Gods Country ✝
It would be nicer but it was cold and foggy. The place was very nice. Love the place very much.
Beautiful views. Nice picnic area, visitor center with helpful staff. Hiking close by.
Went here for the 1st time today my kids loved it!!
The trashcans are gone, this is to encourage the public to take their trash with them. The bathroom was clean.
Beautiful views clean fun drive up
A gorgeous vista after a very short walk to see the view. Wheelchair access and although only a small viewing area, breathtaking 180 degree view of the Carolina mountains!
Beautiful drive . Your on top of the world.view is amazing you can see for miles
This is my favorite stop in the area while I'm out riding my motorcycle. I always pop in for a soda or iced coffee when they're open. Great place to get books on all things nature related for the area!
Fantastic Views! Great Picnic area! Best relief map!!
The view from here is breathe taking!!
beautiful look-out of the mountains, steps down to a crack between rocks you can walk through, little trail that goes around
One of my favorite places to go to see the sunset and enjoy a great mountain view.
Very nice people and cool things to purchase
Visitors center could definetly use some work. It is dark and drab. Merchandise espeacilly clothing is low quality and high price.Dissapointed, as I always buy a shirt or hooodie when I go to a state park but, not this time. Not much info about trails.
Awesome views of the mountains. Go in the a.m for an awesome sunrise.
Helpful staff that knows the area. Ceasars head itself is an amazing place to go for a great view and a few quick snaps. Check out the hiking trails nearby. Most are fairly easy.
5 if I could fly my drone!
Beautiful views. It afforded us the opportunity to get some great photos of our trip.
Stopped by to get directions, the young lady was extremely helpful. Great experience
The park ranger who runs the center is so welcoming!!! And the views here are worth the drive! Parking is kind of tight so be ready to turn around. Animals are welcome DRONES ARE NOT. There is a small area to stop and picnic with only 2 or 3 picnic tables. Devils kitchen was shut down for repairs so that wasnt available at the time.
Great hiking day near Caesars Head visitor center to a couple of unnamed waterfalls and cool boulder and cave formations q
There's a beautiful view from this park.
It's a good place to view the up state from the look outs.
The most incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! Words simply cannot describe the beauty of this place. It's a must see!!
Beautiful state park the view from the overlook was wonderful. Decent handicap access but women's bathroom sink was out of order. Guess it pays to always have hand sanitizer.
Beautiful drive!! Roads are in great shape. Love that my family lives there now.
Nice place to get great views. Easy walking for the the elderly and they have a really nice shop for souvenirs, snack and beverages. Clean restrooms and a picnic are.
Was in the area for work and decided to drive up. It is a spectacular view and well worth some of your time to go. I would highly ret this to anyone who wants some fresh air and beautiful views.
Very nice overlook park with a comprehensive visitors center and picnic area. Winter and early spring afford the best views when the poplars have lost their leaves. The drive up to the park is steep and winding, but worth the trip for the cool vista. The park has removed all trash cans for environmental reasons, so be prepared to pack all your trash out. Restrooms are available at the visitors center overlook area.
One of the best views I’ve seen in my life, beyond gorgeous. If you’re anywhere close, go! It’s also incredibly easy to access (aside from the drive up the mountain that will make you grab the rally handle above your window).
Great view. The young ranger with the fuzzy hair is very good. The view is very nice.
Great view on a clear day
Beautiful sights excellent staff!
If your going up 276...you gotta stop here! Can't miss it, awesome lookout spot to table rock park....an while your there...run over to pretty place just down the road. Another magnificent spot to just sit in aw!
Weather was beautiful! Amazing views!
Great place to stop and have a picnic and enjoy the views! Pictures doesn't do this place any justice. If you go here please note that there's no garbage receptacles here. So pack a garbage bag with you to take it somewhere else to throw away. Highly recommend stopping here.
Gorgeous overlook that is easy to walk up to. The gift shop is well stocked. Employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Picnic tables for a packed lunch spot. Sometimes it can get crowded as there are limited parking spots. We usually stop here on our way to Brevard, NC. Caesars Head State Park is a must see!
Breath takingly beautiful! Only got to go to the Devil's Kitchen and take some pictures. Really recommend to visit and to have spare time to truly enjoy this beauty.
Amazing views of the surround area. Come up on a clear day and contemplate life for hours! Also, a gift shop & trails for some hiking.
"Perched atop the Blue Ridge Escarpment in the beautiful 13,000-acre Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, Caesars Head State Park offers a fantastic vantage point to watch one of North America's most extraordinary natural phenomena - the annual raptor migration"
It was really, really nice. Being from lower Alabama, you don't see mountains, so it was unreal! There is a visitors center when you first drive in. There are bathrooms with no sinks. There are picnic tables and grills overlooking the mountain. Make sure you bring your own trash bag since they do not have anywhere to throw your trash. I did not see a can at the visitors center, but I didn't stop there. There is also an observation area to take in the beautiful site!
Great views and small store for keepsakes.
One of the most beautiful places on earth!!! The closest to God I have ever felt!
Great state park with LOTS of amazing hiking trails for all levels of fitness. The visitors center is at the top of a windy road with great views. The staff at the visitors center are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. There are picnic table and scenic overlooks right there by the visitors center and a trail that leads through an opening in a rock formation.
Just a note to all who go on weekends, parking is very limited. We had to wait 45 minutes before getting in. Get there early or go during lunch when people leave out. The trip up the mountain can be tough. Expect it to take a good hour and a half if you take it easy going up. The falls are wonderful and well worth the hike up.
The views from here are breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice, there are hiking trails there as well. Definitely worth a trip
Have been here many times. Beautiful any time of year. Such a great view.
This is always a gorgeous drive to the top of the mountain and once you arrive the view is picturesque! We always love coming here the park is so clean and nicely maintained. They have spacious clean restrooms and an adorable little gift shop with trinkets that are reasonably priced. However, this is a trash free park due to local wildlife so be prepared to take your trash home with you.
The view was beautiful, but the bathroom has no sink ,water to wash your hands after using the bathroom, so what's up with that?..
I have been coming to this park since I was little. I have since brought my children here since they were little and now they bring there children. That's the kind of place this place is, I highly recommend it!
Our Falcon's Fury Harley-Davidson HOG Chapter rode up today. This was the most perfect day for the views, and to see the change in the leaves! Just awesome!
Great scenic location!
Beautiful views! Clean facilities and friendly and helpful staff,
Hard trail but not too hard. We did the lollipop clockwise
We passed by here and was amazed with the view. I cant wait to go home this fall so we can hike the trail to the waterfalls. The state park shop has plenty of souveniers with friendly staff. We will surely comeback.
Gorgeous view after a short hike
4 different pennies at the penny press. Beautiful overlook. $0.25 to use the viewer. My 7 yo loved it. The 3yo wasn't talking enough. $6 for a bag of rocks that the kids loved! Cute gift shop. Helpful staff. Hand stamp for the kids.
The most beautiful look out around.. Rangers very educated about the whole area and can you answer any question asked. As well as providing a beautiful gift shop for souvenirs and other needs.
Lovely area with a handful of picnic tables to eat at. Devil's Kitchen is closed, no idea why but we were disappointed. The ladies working at the gift shop were nice.
Great place for cyclist to test their legs and climbing endurance. The road needs to be repaved. Too many pot holes to call this road safe. Riders cannot keep to the right.
The approximate 10 miles of curvy, twisty road in and out of the park is a fun ride ... especially for a sports car or motorcycle. Be careful to watch oncoming traffic stays on their side of the yellow line. Once you arrive ... the overlook views are amazing! Be sure to walk down into the Devil's Kitchen.
Absolutely beautiful views and great place to stop with the family. Very short, extremely easy walk to the views from parking lot. Nice tables to sit and eat at(if you bring your own food) next to parking lot.
Easy to get to, clean, & a wonderful overlook that all can enjoy without a strenuos hike. Visitor center was nice & cool with very reasonable prices on souvenirs. There's a bathroom inside as well as outside.
Love biking up the mountain! The view is amazing!
Beautiful views, small gift shop. They have picnic tables and hiking trails. Limited parking and not one single trash can to be found. Funny they sell some food and drinks but you gotta haul your trash with you.
Beautiful place to visit.
Good lookout close to the parking lot. Nice restroom stop before getting to the trails. There is a restaurant super close by if food is really needed. It's a bit before you get to the parking lot. Could use some trail and area maps though.
What an awesome place to visit in South Carolina. I send pictures from here to friends out of state, and they can't believe this is actually South Carolina! People, there are mountains in SC. There is a gorgeous view of Table Rock Mountain and the valley in between. A lake where some of Greenville's water comes from can be seen from here. Take pictures!
It might be small, but the overlooks are great. You get to see much of upstate South Carolina from here, from Table Rock to Paris Mountain to Greenville. Oh yeah, it's also free and the entrance directly off of US 276. Definitely a place you should stop by for ~20 minutes if you're in the area.
Gorgeous, even in the rain!
The view from the lookout is wonderful. It was cloudy when we first got their but within ten minutes the clouds started to cle clear.
Great views, nice visitors center
Great place for nature walks, waterfalls and great views.
Great views and places to hike
Visited from friends. Had a great time here.
It's just beautiful
Love this place. Spent a few weekend here with my family. Nice and cozy cabins with lots of activities for the whole family
Nice place to visit, picnic and take in the beautiful views.
Fantastic views! Free!
Great view!!! So worth the drive up to see it. Very beautiful mountains and it has some information there to know what you are looking at. Just have no words how gorgeous it looks.
Super easy access from parking lot. Restrooms and picnic areas with grills available.
Nice overlook and not too many people. It’s a small overlook, but it’s a nice Mountain View. It’s also a pretty drive up there. Not too much walking around there as well. It’s as much as you make of it.
Been coming to this place since I was a kid and I am still in awe every time!
Wow! Beautiful panoramic view.
Very nice view with a hint of fresh air
Very friendly & courteous staff.
Had a great time at Ceasars Head.
One of my favorite places in this world to visit. So peaceful and you can not find better fudge anywhere!
Excellent staff and clean rest rooms. Beautiful views.
I lo e going here it's really beautiful especially in the spring time. Its really peaceful out here. And quiet except for the forest animals lol. But I really loved it. Reminde me of back home when I was younger. In My teens. Lived way out in the middle of nowhere for real
Relaxing park, with some incredible views.
If you like hiking and great views of the Appalachia mountains look no further. Awesome trails, better views and being close to a sleep small town gives it that much more charm to it. I came for the trails and stayed for the views and great locales. Definitely hit this place late spring and early summer to get the best experience to have here. It may be a little busier mid to late summer and even into the fall but it won't detract from the experience.
A beautiful park in the mountains of South Carolina with maximum elevation of 3208 feet with overlook from which you have very impressive panoramic views of surrounding valleys and mountains. From the overlook you can go down in a narrow opening between two rocks. They call it Devils Kitchen. There is a trail from there on the edge of the mountain but it is now closed due to unsafe conditions. Parking is free. There is a gift shop in parking lot close to the overlook.
We finished jr. Ranger 2 here. It was amazing. All of the rangers we're kind and knowledgeable and made my kid's day. It is beautiful even if you aren't doing the hike. Couldn't have asked for a better visit. Ranger Brian was super great!
It's a fairly nice view, that doesn't require a lot of climbing to see. The ride up is not too bad either. I thought the protrusion looked like a boars head. You have to walk around the side to see it.
View is excellent. Parking is very close to boardwalk. Easy walk.
Staff is very helpful and can guide you in planning your day. Decent selection of souvenirs at fairly reasonable prices. Access to restrooms and vending machines with water.
Great place to get hiking info
Beautiful! Just love visiting here!
nice and quiet place, great view, but a little bit too small to explore..
Beautiful place cool views of table rock lots of trails
Such an amazing view! A Beautiful park.
Love this place. I've been going there since I was a kid. Devil's Kitchen still amazes me every time.
Very nice. It would be perfect if they had a little Resturant or sandwich vending.
So many great things I could say but you better just go see for yourself
Delightful place. Spent 35 min between the visitors center and the various viewing areas. Clean restrooms. We noticed some hiking trails down but did not take them.
Great hiking and amazing views!
Amazing views. All the trails are longer so if you have little ones this may not be the best place
A very nice park. I have been there now twice to ride my motorbike in these mountains.
Probably not saying what's already been said by others, but for a free place to visit and park, this place is absolutely gorgeous. A pleasure to donate to the park unlike some others. You can tell they care for this area.
Caesar's Head is a great way to get that great mountain view without having to do a hike--very accessible.
This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. I have been there several times now and still so much to see
Nice place to connect with nature..
What a great place!! To bad the clouds came for a visit
Awesome place to take a vacation and see the sights the view is spectacular. Well recommended!
Be aware that there are no drone signs posted around the area. This restriction does not show up on airspace maps.
Good views, nice short walk
Absolutely beautiful and the drive is very very fun for sports cars and motor cycles
Great view. My grandson loved climbing around and the store.
It's was awesome with the clouds down in the valley. It had rained for 3 days. Thank heavens for the sunshine. We hope to go back in the Spring.
A beautiful place a senic few at every turn. Loved it will be back!
Love this and have for over 25 years!! My favorite place on Earth
Such a nice stop. The views are amazing!
Great place to take your family
Enjoy hiking and nature walks. Get there early parking lot fills up quick.
This ⛰ moutaintop was gorgeous... Even on a muggy foggy day! Very peaceful. There's a top and bottom view per se. Really good background for pictures. I enjoyed it and will be back... On a
When I stopped there the clouds were low and couldn't see anything, it was actually cool! Enjoy
Awesome views and great trails! A must see
Beautiful area. Good parking but they need place for RVs. Picnic tables, restrooms. Handicap parking. Vending machines that take credit cards.
Love it here , quick trip and very clean.
Beautiful! Easy access. Bathrooms. Gift shop.
All kinds of sore. From just a couple miles straight up!!!
Gorgeous views without a hike, but hiking is also an option if you're so inclined. Do note... They do not have outdoor trashcans for car trash. This is to discourage wills animals from digging through trash. The visitor center does have bags just in case you have an unexpected mess, but you have to take it down the mountain.
Excellent. Very knowledgeable staff, large to-scale model of the park and trails, nature books, children's books, history books, photos of the old hotel and construction of the road, etc. Centrally located and close to trail heads.
Breathtaking view of the mountains!
Unfortunately it was very foggy when we arrived. However, it was still an awesome place to visit. There are a couple of walking paths you can take from the parking lot for a spectacular view (which we will need to revisit to be able to see!). The drive there is fun and full of sharp twists and turns! The restrooms were kept very clean! I cant wait to go back on a clear day!
Great place to visit. If your into hiking there's plenty of trails to choose from for all ranges of difficulty and length. Or even if you just want to get out of the car and see a beautiful view.
Great view from the top of the mountain nice picnic area well kept and clean
We visited indescribable awesome God,s creations
Breathtaking views. I was nervous to look out from the edge but driving from too far to not look. The view was neverending, you have to see this place!
Clean park. Convenient parking
One of the best state parks I have been to. Beautiful vistas and close proximity to both Asheville and Greenville. Highly recommend taking a trip here if in the area.
