REVIEWS OF One World Trade Center IN New York

I love this place maybe because I love skyscrapers and view on the city from the higher floors. To get there you have to buy a ticket and I recommend you to get a ticket that allows you to skip all the lines. Sometimes there are a lot of people that wants to get to observatory deck at the same time so if you have skip-all-the-lines ticket, you may safe a lof of time. To get to the observatory deck you'll have to use one of the elevators. Elevators, at least what I've heard, are the fastest in the world. Interior of them are made from screens where you can see a presentation about how Manhattan grew over the years. Observation desk is amazing - and before you see the view from 100th floor, you can see a 1,5 minutes presentation displayed on the wall. After if finishes, the wall is rising up and the great view shows up to you - it's a spectacular. Then you have a 360-degrees view on the city - you won't be disappointed

Awesome architecture. Great shops. Very clean lines. Great for families. Elevator to the top of the tower was interactive, awesome, quick and very fast. View from the Freedom Tower are AMAZING. Food was sub par once up top, but it was more about the view. A must see.

Mister Owl

The entire observatory is indoors. The tablets don't work well and are more dead weight. The views are amazing and the elevator ride up is surprisingly fast.

Andrew Wilson

The place was awesome... although at the base of the building just after getting in the front door, we tried to get help as to where to go and the employees down there who had no customers in front of them were to busy with themselves to help us. There was no one at the entrance to the line to direct us. So we went to the line where someone was being helped by an older gentleman and he kindly directed us to the correct line. Once two of us got in line someone finally asked to see our tickets to be certain we were in the right place. Where was that young lady when we went into that line to begin with and got out to seek advice earlier?

Tim Wood

View is great, observation deck is pretty good, but the cash grabbing is awful. There are multiple times they force you to stop and listen to a pitch for an 'upgrade' to your experience. Really just served to take me out of the experience.

Kevin Flamm

The staff is efficient at moving the crowds, so you’re not standing in line forever. The elevator is incredible and the views are amazing. Totally worth it

Kim Land

Heartfelt. Difficult to put into words the emotional impact...incredibly poignant.

Moh Cader

Visiting One World Trade Center is a great way to get the whole city view of New York. Getting into the lift is an experience itself, the speed it travels at is amazing. You get a panoramic view of every angle of New York City great place to capture pictures and memories.

Le Souriant

Great place, even if you decide not to go up. It's truly a great experience to see it from up close.

Ken Haley

Fabulously done. Video in the elevator and at the top was really well done. The views spectacular in 360 degrees

graham maurirere

Well where do i start...we are from new Zealand and are here visiting our daughter and grandchildren...who live here in Greenwich..but today was my sister in-laws birthday so we dicide to go up to the top of freedom tower at night...after our very busy day of shopping and dining around new York city...(wow)...doesn't that sound amazing...and yes we weren't disappointed it was so amazing and beautiful it took our breath away...To see the unbelievable views in front of our eye's of how beautiful this picturesque city is...we looked and took photos from all around the world trade center observation...it was unbelievable and the closest to the heavens....i would recommend to come visit this amazing freedom tower at night or anytime its amazing....so happy we come and visited this wonder of new York city....

Ashley Malinowski

Great Staff...quick elevator ... great price - great view. I would highly recommend.

Audrey C.

So expensive.. $39 (US) is the cheapest option.. Hence the 3 stars. We went there on a Monday night (end of August) so it wasn't busy at all and we could enjoy the views. It is a good experience (elevator experience, the view), but it took us less than an hour between buying the tickets and leaving the building. I recommend visiting the undergrounds of the World Trade Center - shopping areas and train station, it is quite impressive.

Emil Baran

Price ticket comes out to 38.00 either you buy at the tower or online. They go by 15minutes increments and it takes another 30min before you are on the top. There is a TSA like checkpoint and no glass allowed ( even a 100ML), they will take it away but you will get a ticket to claim it back once you exit the elevators. Is it worth? Yes, it's one of those attraction that has history of 9/11 behind it and although modern it's still nice. Pictures come out ok because the glare from Windows is big but with enough patience you will get some good photos. Beer is 10.00 so not bad if you really need one. The whole thing will take around 2-2:30 hrs from start to finish on Saturday between hours of 12-4pm

Dawn Harmon

Wow! Incredible experience on so many levels! Views that are amazing! Highly recommend!

Manoj Biswal

A place to remember the fallen and think how fortunate we are to have our lives. Really peaceful place. The sound of the waterfall makes it even more calming.

Jeff Hallam

Was better than I was expecting. The staff were very friendly and it wasn't too crowded when I went mid afternoon. Awesome views all around and the ride in the lift is possibly the best part. Recommended for tourists

Jessica Hash

The staff were very friendly and it wasn't too crowded when I went mid afternoon. Awesome views all around and the ride in the lift is possibly the best part. Recommended for tourists

This place is beyond amazing! The views are out of this world beautiful!! It was a glorious and emotional experience! I didn't want to leave! If you want awesome views of the city of New York then this is the place to see the best views. The elevator ride to the top was so cool. It shows you how the city became to be. I will definitely be coming here again

Brian Keller

What an experience. We did the $70 which included a limited but awesome lunch and the observatory. The views were phenomenal. Do NOT mis the 9/11 memorial. Wish we would have had more time for it. Do the tour. Learned things we never knew. And the bathrooms were VERY clean.

Cheryl Jones

It is beautiful building. I'm soooooooo happy to see it in person

Lina E Krakue

It was a curated sensitively and lovingly for those who died and for those who survived. I almost felt like i was intruding on their memories. It was difficult to see some of the pictures and was overwhelming. It is harsh reminder of how tenuous life is

James Arrows

Views are breathtaking, amazing, check groupon for discount tickets, you can order 30 minutes before you go up, eat before you attend this place as food is incredibly expensive at the top e.g. 10$ croissant for example.

G

I didn’t think the $39 entrance was worth it. I didn’t have that “wow” feeling when I visited. I compared it with the Tower in Toronto which I liked better. Here, I felt they could have done more things for the public. Average experience. I was more excited about the Century 21 cards given at the end, than the WtC.

David Pennington

Great views and information. Get the Priority Pass, it's worth it. Got right on the elevator, and used the voucher for a light lunch. Just bring your own water or refreshments.

Glen French

Bought the basic ticket; lots of attempts to up sell all the optional extras. Would have been good to have some stools at the cafe to linger longer & enjoy the views. Doesn't quite have the history of the other two, but benefits from being new & purpose built.

Walter James Jr

A heartfelt reminder to a great tragedy in our country. Very tastefully constructed.

Linda Gillis

This is magnificent. I suggest viewing it from a boat. There's a "Thank you" sign.

Carolina Reyes

When I’m in Manhattan, I always go to One World. It is a place where I can feel the New Yorker spirit, the resilience, it is the heart of the city. This year, by chance, I had to be there on September 11th. The flowers, the mixed feelings, made me think about life and what is most important in it.

The Unknown

the only reason i am giving it a 1 star is because they should have built 2 buildings not 1 and same floors as the old one this one have less floors and the design kinda looks like the old but its a modern design but i still like the old design better

Jermaine Pennie

Horrible lines took more then an hour and a half to get in if you buy regular tickets at $39. If you want to skip the main the price jumps up. They use all the elevators for the priority line holding up the lines for general admission for at times 30 - 45 or more minutes. When you get up there each window is being over taken by someone so you now have to wait for a view to get good shots. In comparison when I first came to this location the service and treatment has been a horrible experience.

Black

An absolute must visit! The emotions are overwhelming from the tower, to the memorial and everything in between. This has to be one of the top 3 things I've ever done. The price is worth it. I recommend NYC city pass of you have never been.

John P

great views! I enjoyed this place over the other observation decks around the city. There are no obstructed views, unlike the empire state building where there is a fence right in front of your face, Its climate controlled and the elevator ride up is awesome! I recommend going on a weekday right before sunset, and pay for the medium level ticket, both rides up and down the elevator were just my wife and I. I don't think there is a time limit on the observation deck so you could just watch the sun set the whole night then look at the island at night time!

Ross Gahn

Amazing experience! Make sure to go through the museum. Well worth the additional expense. Plan for at least three hours for the full experience. Very emotional experience for many, but important to remember all that took place on that day.

Tyler Sun

Amazing views and great presentation. However, with the ticket price, the placement of the restaurant and a strong sense of persuasion to get you to upgrade your ticket, it did feel like every attempt was made to squeeze its visitors wallets dry. It's business indeed, but does take away from the overall experience. Also the window facing Midtown Manhattan is always crowded, even 30 minutes before closing time.

Matt Morgenthaler

Being a first responder for 9-11, touring One World Trade Center was incredible. We got a guided tour and it was well worth the money. The tour guide was very professional and informative. The entire facility was respectful and truthfully presented.

DJ Joshi

One of the life experiences to see New York skyline form the top. Its unbeatable...the audio visual they show with curtain raiser sets the stage for an awesome experience. They should eliminate the commercial selling after the video. It is annoying and according to me keeps us away from the sight we have come to see. Top of the Rock can get crowded and windy unlike one world center where flow of people is well managed and basically it is very spacious at top. Not to forget the elevator ride is also an experience. All in All....worth a visit once in life!

Lucais Horsley

Definitely worth the $39 basic charge. The attraction is almost designed like Disney park ride. The walk to the elevator is “underground.” The elevator ride, though quick, is entertaining, they take your photo so you can buy it at the end, there is a gift shop to walk through before you leave. There are information sessions. All very good. The views, history and related surrounding information is all very good. Glad I went. And yes, I bought the photo...

Eddy Alvarez

This place is awesome the tour the view and the staff are all super cool. No problem what so ever inside this building they check your bags but no biggie. Again cant express it enough the staff was 5 star as they all helped and were clear with directions. The elevator ride is the best one i ever had but wont say why dont want to spoil it for you guys

Jason Schrock

A must do for anyone in NYC. The reflecting pools are such an amazingly beautiful and poignant way to process and reflect. Imagining that day and processing the lives lost is so hard it takes your breath away. But it's something everyone should do in honor of those who sacrificed it all in order to save lives. You won't regret it.

Marc Kobrin

This is a must visit site as a result of NY history. The 360 degree views from the top of the tower are breath taking. The elevator ride to the top takes you through a visual history of the construction of the World Trade Centers

Jian Yi Zhang

The building is an inspiring of engineering and a real beauty from below. I'm a bit less enthralled with the experience atop on the observation deck of the 101st, which although offers a really exceptional view of the city, feels commonplace and needlessly commercial (the shine and stink of a overproduced Hollywood movie trailer) rather than grandiose or unique. The staff gave me the impression that their sole purpose was to sell overprice pictures and trinkets. For my money,, the Empire State Building is a better choice.

Sridhar Srinivasan

We enjoyed the visit, The tallest building in the United States, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world but when we are near to that we not feel that -- As it's NYC all the building looks tall.. We where not able to see this building even at half mile circle as other buildings near also bigger which stops the view.. Good Place to see it's real height is from 1) Water, 2) from Top of the Rock or Empire State Observatory, 3) from Bridges etc.,

gabriel felx

Super nice building to see up close. A must thing to do while you visit the financial district is to go to the observatory. Really nice spot with the history of the building site and a complete view of New-York.

Arnold Villatoro

The tour on the observation deck is well worth it. It is a bit pricey however considering you don't get to up to the tallest building in the Western hemisphere its worth it at least once. The 360 video while riding to the top is outstanding. The whole experience was great and definitely recommend this to everyone.

R David Koby

This is a must see and never forget NYC experience. Make the time to include this in your schedule. The elevator ride to the top is super smooth and unbelievably quick. Once you arrive on top, there are two floors with fantastic 360° views of NYC & NJ from the all glass observatory. There are two choices for restaurants up top. One is fine dining and, although pricier than the hot dog and sandwich shop, it has great seating views and tasty food. Tip: They handle the crowds well to buy admission tickets, but if you can afford it, pay extra for a reserved time.

Yar Leyver

Nice location and breathtaking views. If you are at NY for the first time - surely visit it and you will not be disappointed.

Jennifer Purple

The view is stunning. When you get to the top floor you will see most of Manhattan and a little bit of Brooklyn perhaps. The buildings create this aesthetically pleasing look. This picture completely untouched without a filter. I went in the afternoon but I’m assuming the sunset would be so pretty. This picture is my lock screen :)

Banky Chalk

Must see attraction whether you're a tourist or someone who lives near by! Make sure to buy your tickets online so you do not have to wait a long time to go up. If the weather is bad and you know for sure that you won't be able to see anything up there, you could call and ask to be moved to another day(this happened to me due to a snow storm) On your way up there you might experience some ear popping but other than that it's a smooth elevator ride up. Once you get up there the view is totally worth it! If you go in the afternoon you may see experience sunset up there which is beautiful!

vijay d

One of the Best place in the world. I am glad that I was able to go with my parents and I made it memorable through out my life.

Ashu Phaugat

Awesome place. Visiting there was one of the wonderful experience. I liked it.

Jill Harwell

Was able to watch a storm come in and go over the city. Would highly recommend going but make sure you check visibility on the Observation level before buying your tickets.

matthew oliver

I could spend hours just taking in the smell of the two now completed fountains. There is a lot of shade here so its an amazing escape from the summer heat of NY. The mood here is somber and reverent, but somehow full of hope and genuine NY grit. I only took a single photo of one of the fountains because I want to encourage you to see more by stopping here to take it all in 1st hand.

Nik

Pretty cool place to visit. NYC is absolutely amazing and booming with all sorts of life. I'll forever remember this as the place where I met my online best friend. Great place to make memories

Nilda M

The building itself is amazing, if you can go to the top even better. Yet, when you are on the observation deck is not as high as you would expected. check the weather beforehand. You have a 360 degree view. Also, mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 are empty so you can take pic peacefully.

Alan Hartley

Amazing what they have done with the new trade center and the memorials for the twin towers. Well worth a visit.

Scott Speert

Great experience. Must see. We wish we knew there is a restaurant on the top.

Brayden Mora

This building is the symbol of a country that will not back down. It is beautiful constructed tower that is also an office building, showing form and functionality. The architectural height is 1,776 which is to celebrate the independence of the USA. The elevator to the observatory is epic. The elevator interior is covered on all side by screens. As you start your journey it show what the area looked like before humans populated the land. As you move up the floor the land begins to transform and the buildings are being erected. Years are passing by and your viewpoint moves skyward as you do. As the elevator ride take you to the top, you have reached modern day.

Robert Marsh

You start off with an amazing elevator ride with a video showing you New York through time. Once you get off the elevator at the observation back your welcomed with some of the best views I've ever seen. It's slightly overwhelming looking all around and seeing everything from so far up. Be warned that the building does sway slightly so if you are prone to motion sickness you may want to skip this or take something before you go up.

li xian

It really impressed me a lot the first sight of the view after watching a short video of New York life. The screen pulled up and the scenery is just in front of me unexpectedly. I was so touched by this surprise. It must be so beautiful in the late afternoon and evening. Lovely place!

Susana Sherfedinova

One of the most popular places to visit in New York and even the USA. Get tickets online and you will get unbelievable views to magnificent and magical New York. There is a restaurant on the last floor where you can enjoy nice food and one of the best views in the world.

Hans Schroeder

Saturday night, wasn't crowded, beautiful views of the entire sky scape. No pressure, relaxing, take your time to enjoy the views.

Emmanuel Go

Just awesome. This building is a sight to behold. So tall and massive yet with an elegance to it. Really a must see.

Prashanth Balasubramaniam

I've got no words to explain the beauty of this place. Out of the world experience. If you are using the observatory, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Enjoy this place.

Mostafizur Rahman {MMR}

Willard Yarnall

If you haven't already been to the memorial you really need to visit it if you're ever in New York. A must for every American. This is the bucket for your bucket list. Those people who have been there know what I mean. It will change you. There are some incredible things to see.

Eoin Miskell

Had a great time at One World Trade Center. Was able to watch a storm come in and go over the city. Would highly recommend going but make sure you check visibility on the Observation level before buying your tickets.

Brent Warkentine

The elevator ride up and down to the observation deck was worth the price of admission. The quick video and then having the screen disappear to give you the view was cool too. I liked the outdoor aspect of the top of the rock better than being behind glass, but still it is one awesome view.

Darrel Abbey

I cannot stress enough how important it is to get the VIP Priority Access with the $15 voucher for food/drink/gift shop. You skip all lines in and out and get the Virtual Tour Guide iPad ($15 by itself). Also, if you don't want it to be crowded, go first thing in the morning on a weekday. Do the observation deck 1st, then stroll the memorial grounds at your leisure.

Chris Velazquez

Amazing views and a very meaningful memorial. Would recommend visiting around sunset for both day and night experience.

Michael Ezat Cook

Need to have a clearish day for this but worth the views! The experience going up the elevator is interesting and they try to sell you a "view finder" (iPad with AR) too. Wouldn't say the most amazing customer service but not like you experience much outside of security and could say the view is too hyped however the top of the tower overshadows that and I love the crystal tower in the gift shop.

Brandon Dellinger

One of the most amazing places that I’ve ever visited in my life! It’s terrible to think about all of the destruction that took place here on Sept 11, 2001! If you get a chance to visit this beautiful creation, then take the opportunity to tour all of that is offered. You will not be disappointed. It really brought a tear to my eye when I saw first hand where these infidels struck! This is a place to visit by all means.

Anne Fernandena

I was very pleased that I was able to tour the observation level at One Wold Trade Center. The inside observation deck is ideal for taking in the view and in our case within an hour of rain clouds setting over Manhattan. The wide concourse and vaulted ceiling seemed to reduce the angst of falling I sometimes feel at extreme heights. The use of realistic digital displays throughout the elevator system was very impressive and speaks to the technological prowess of the building. Having toured the Twin Towers as a 6th grader and again in my 20s, I was not sure how I would feel after visiting the Observatory. I would encourage previous visitors to the Twin Towers who have stayed away deliberately to consider re-visiting not just for honoring those lost on 9/11 but also because doing so might fill in a personal sense of loss they may still feel.

Javier Rodriguez

this place is so beautiful .lots of people. And food all around you just can't get enough. To spend some time walking around with some one special .you'll be happy you did.

Rakshan N Kangovi

1. Best part if the lift which shows you how New York changed /developed over the years. 2. You can have a beautiful view of New York city and best would be during evening and night when you can see the city lit 3. Observatory gives you a beautiful view of the city 4. There is a souvenir shop on the top 5. Since it is a tourist attraction can be crowded. 6. Well managed place. 7. Nicely designed structure. 8. It is one of the tallest building as of now in Western Hemisphere.

revanagouda pujer

Amazing views and tallest building in the NY city... had great time with family and friends

Jenny meah

Breathtaking views. Highly recommend to put this on your tick list of things to do on your visit to New York. With online timed bookings the que line was minimal. Very nicely put together as you take lift up to the viewing area. There are also little talks from staff which is a nice touch. I went up on a clear sunny day, so I can imagine on foggy days you may not get quite the same experience.

Cedric Bethea

This is a must see place for all New Yorkers and tourists alike. The atmosphere, the veiws , the food, etc. This building has it all, from the top floor to the shops downstairs in the subway station. I'm a jaded New Yorker but even I was pleasantly surprised at all that this building has to offer.

Proloy Mitra

Giving rating for the observatory. Five out of five. From the beginning to end is amazing experience. Crowd control is good. Didn't try the restaurant but it's it's worth every penny I spend for a basic tickets to observatory. Fast elevator took us to 102 floors in 40 sec. And all LED TV, shows, demonstration, is amazing. Gift shop price is reasonable. Views are priceless. Attached memorial water fountain is amazing too. Overall great experience.

Johnny Yuen

Had a great time as a non-tourist. The elevator trip to the top was quick. A hint: chew some gum or keep moving your jaw to keep from popping your ears because the elevator moves so fast that you don't have a chance to adjust to the height so your ears will pop. There's a treat at the top. Sit down and enjoy the show because it's very informative. They also have a cafe up there so take your time and enjoy the view from up top.

Aryan Hussain Khan

Every aspect of this behemoth and radiant beacon of human engineering has not failed to astonish me, untill the frivolous cheap attraction of glass floor appears. Apparently, if you stand there and look down, you can see all the way down clearly as if you're about to fall and the only thing thing holding you up is a harness. Surely not! Stained, cloudy glass ensures that you can see only down 4 or 5 floors. Anywhoo, the elevator was the best experience whatsoever in this experience to the top of one the tallest man made structures; skyscrapers in the world.

Andrew Arthur Dawson

Finally, I got to visit the World Trade One and go to the top. Definitely worth the price of Priority Access. Other than being a little too crowded and paying $6 for a Bubbly drink at the top, it was an amazing experience. My only suggestion is to have more people available to ask questions about what we are seeing. One person I asked said they didn’t know much. And the other said she was doing a tour and to ask someone else. Other than that, it was very enjoyable!

Matt McCarter

FREAKING AMAZING!!! Totally worth the $39 to get in. You can also get a guided iPad tour for $10. The views are incredible, even the elevator ride has a special surprise for you. There is food and and a bar. Plus a gift shop. If you’re nearby visiting the 9/11 memorial you definitely want to give this some time. So worth it.

Sulit Ster

Its an incredible tourist trap but you've got to experience it at least once. They take selfie sticks and tripod away when you go thru security but they hand you a claim ticket to retrieve it back. I've got to say though that the original World Trade Center observatory is way better as it is higher at 107 stories and also had an outdoor observation deck. Try to come early as there were a lot of people in the afternoon, though the wait was minimal to ride the elevators.

Neil Cahill

Great infrastructure for the tower, subway arrives pretty much underneath the building into a great shopping centre with loads of restaurants and cafés. The tour before observation is quick and enjoyable and the view is truly spectacular. Much better than the Empire State Building so I definitely recommend it more out of the two. Only reason it got a 4 star review is because the gift shop is way way too expensive. 10 dollars for their smallest size keyring....c’mon now.

Natalie Jones

Just awesome. This building is a sight to behold. So tall and massive yet with an elegance to it. Really a must see.

Lacey FitzGerald

Humbling. Emotional. A must see place no matter your age. Blessed to have the group of people who made it possible to be there. Thank you!

Johannes Elsner

Incredible buildings and stunning view from the observation deck. Just looking at it from the ground is awesome. Definitely a must do on your New York bucket list. The observation deck is about 42 dollar with taxes.

Decalicious

Absolutely amazing place.. The views are amazing. The building design, the technology makes it an absolutely worthwhile visit. Definitely on your bucket list. Perhaps try the late afternoon, early evening viewing for a chance to see the lights in the city.

Joseph E

One of the best views of NYC. I really want to go back and see this spectacular view

Dante Grey

It was so peaceful underneath that Beautiful Blue Sky while the Building's glass panels became stained with a nostalgic color. The Future may continue on and on, but if I face forward will I ever see You again? I was afraid; We all were. Underneath the Building's heights I want to watch the Times change while I open my Self to people and places I will never see again. When I remember far far back the Future was bright for as far as I could see while We were all dreaming. Sometimes I want to disbelieve the events of the Past. I still cannot forget and wonder if New Year's Ball will be even brighter. I think back to the things of Childhood and find them dear when We were all underneath that Beautiful Blue Sky.

El R

The view is beautiful as expected. However the experience feels very commercialized, everything is an advertisement and it takes forever to get to the actual viewing platform. Feels slightly disrespectful to the buildings that stood before it.

Errol Henry

Awesome architecture. Great shops. Very clean lines. Great for families. Elevator tot he top of the tower was interactive, awesome, quick and very fast. View from the Freedom Tower are AMAZING. Food was sub par once up top, but it was more about the view. A must see.

Diane Gasper

Beautiful buildings! A lovely memorial for the victims of that horrible day! Just looking around, I felt on the verge of tears for the many lives lost on 9/11. Very sobering.

Yaser K

Prime tourist spot. It's a must visit to understand the vast history of NYC. Yes it will be busy, yes you will need to pay for entry. Parking is an issue, but exercise is always good! Make sure to checkout the memorial next door, its like a very beautiful garden flustered with flocks of people.

Tommy Rivera

I do not usually do the "tourist thing" in NYC because I am from NY but we took some family from out of town. I was thoroughly impressed. The view is amazing!

maha Ahmed

Best view best service Better price than the empire State. And more service with details

Steven Solomon

I was lucky to have visited shortly after the Freedom Tower opened in the Summer of 2016. From the elevator ride to the observation deck, this was truly an unforgettable experience that offers the best possible views of NYC.
