REVIEWS OF One World Observatory IN New York

We visited OWO on my first trip to NYC last week. It was one of the top (pun intended) experiences we had in the city. We had 10AM tickets. The subway and walk were very easy. The lines were short and although we purchased priorities in lines they didn't help much. But they did give us access to the iPads that show you points of interest around the city. That was not very interesting to my wife and I but our 9 year old daughter loved it. It seemed that most of the kids in the Observatory were playing on those more than enjoying the actual view. We were thankful for clear skies as the day before we had visited the Statue of Liberty and One World Trade was mostly fogged in. The only concern we had was that the sway of the building made us dizzy. It was like being on a cruise ship where the subtle movement can be worse than being in a storm-tossed boat at sea level. But we were happy to endure that for the amazing views of this grand city.

That’s the best place so far I have been to in New York, if we talk about huge buildings. The highest floor is 102 and it’s the largest building in New York .. you can see literally almost everything from there, the view is more than amazing and it’s breathtaking! I highly recommend this place for visiting if you are not afraid of hights. In my opinion it’s even better than both Empire State Building and Rockefeller Tower only because of the view, you feel like you are on top of the world. And even there is a restaurant on the last floor with amazing food and the food is not so expensive it’s totally worth it to eat there, it’s worth the price in other words! The customer service is great, too. You can even rent tablets from there to see different sights with information and history of how the sights are created and it’s only $10 or $15! Definitely it was a breathtaking experience for me!! I highly recommend it even more than anything!!!

One of the best place to visit in New york and in US. What an experience... starting from your entry, skypod experience.. and in no time you are at 102 floor. 360° view of NYC. If you are visiting new york, this should definitely be in your list. See if you can get priority tickets as certain times queue grow pretty big.. and d different between standard and priority is not that big. Check for some 3rd party websites to get it at a better price.

Amazing 360* views! - Be sure to reserve your ticket. If you reserve the day if they may push the time a few hours. - Military (AD) half off ticket - When you first enter it is a bit crowded trying to fit everyone in the room, but just wait until the end of the presentation - views all around of NJ, Brooklyn, lower Manhattan, and more - Would recommend One World Observatory and Top of the Rock for amazing NYC photos

Best view on the city. I still disliked: 1) pressure tactics to make you pay for their IPads to see the names of the buildings and force-picture taking that you can buy on the ground floor 2) no mention of 9/11. People have to realize that youngsters visiting the area today were born after the events. They would gained from some context, especially if they didn't visit the memorial beforehand

jango

It's perfect but the one thing that's missing are those things at Liberty Island that you can use to see the buildings zoomed in. Having to pay just to see some helicopter pictures is useless. It kinda destroys the experience to be honest. Not everyone has high quality cameras to get good pictures of the city.

Amit Arora

This is something I believe everyone should experience in their life. The views you see are incredible and nothing can really compare to it. They also have very helpful staff and a nice restaurant at the top. The experience is wonderful !!

Amy Young

Beautiful views from a beautiful building! Great info from the tour. Don't fall for the $15 voucher big you are planning to use it to eat. It is only good for drinks and the gift shop.

Joe Johnson

Be sure you keep your hand on tour wallet. The sky tour will try to sell you something. Elevator trip starts at $40. There are at least two stops at the top that will try to sell you stuff, pictures tablet tours, and you had better hope its a beautiful day because if it's cloudy you won't see a thing at the top. And what the hell is up with the WTC monkey?

Stephen JW Steele

The big difference compared to the Towers is that you don't feel the wind pushing the buildings. It's so solid and you can feel this. On a really windy day in the old days in either of the towers you could feel the wind sway the floor above the 70th floor and people's plants would swing ever so slightly In the windows. So this is different. The views the same but the building actually feels different. Somehow bigger and more solid. A fortress of fortune and faith and built on the love of this country. Gratefully and always recommended.

Andrew Dawson

Absolutely incredible experience. Right from the moment you step into the elevator, the magic begins. I would advise going on a sunny day with the best visiting time to be just about an hour or so before sunset - then you can see all there is to see from the views around the city in the hours of light, before watching the sunset from the highest point, then see all the views that are different in the hours of darkness.

Diana M

An amazing experience! The elevator ride was awesome and getting off the floor you are greeted with an introduction. Great views of the city and beyond. This was my second visit and got to experience both day and nighttime views. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Before you visit, check out Groupon deals for admission!

Sascha Scharf

A fantastic experience. Beautiful views, especially during nighttime. Worth every penny, see NYC from a different perspective. We've enjoyed every second up there.

Andrew Griffiths

Excellent views of the city that you won't get elsewhere, but was somewhat left feeling it was a bit of a sterile experience compared to the other viewing points in the city. Completely enclosed (at least with the basic ticket) and it felt like at multiple times you were being upselled. I'm sure a sunset visit would be better, but I imagine very crowded. Visit for the view, but for an experience I'd pick another

Shawn Henry

This is a cool place to go and worth the money. I have been to the top of the old World Trade Centre many times before and they really did a good job in building this building. The views were breath taking and we were there at sunset and it was beautiful. You can not go wrong here!!!

arda a

Restaurant was very clean and organized - very nice view of Manhattan. Personal was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious (especially calamari/salad and steak) - It might be good idea to include pictures in the menu and background music (jazz/blues) would be nice too.

Mikayla W

Absolutely breathtaking! I’ve been to the Empire State Building as well as Top of the Rock, but the view from One World doesn’t compare. You get 360 views of the entire city and views of New Jersey too. I bought the all inclusive package which included a coupon for $10 off any menu item in the restaurant on the top floor. Ordered cocktails and watched the sunset along the whole city.

captin_trey

100% under rated. The One World Trade Center itself doesn't get enough credit as the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. The view from the top lives up to its name as you can "See Forever". Definitely the highlight of my trip to New York.

Anton Zouplna

Spectacular views and the building is georgeous. The elevator ride up is an experience in itself. I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance. We got the enhanced experience tickets and could go anytime in the morning so we did not experience crowds at security or the elevator plus it pays for itself in the form of a food or gift shop credit. Those tickets also include the tablet you can use to understand and get more information about what you're looking at. Just wish I could have had an adult beverage earlier since that wasn't open yet.

Parth Shah

It's amazing. You literally feel like you're on top of the world. It's absolutely mind blowing. If you're NYC, you must go see it. Epic Views

Ravi Meher

Highest point in New York...spectacular views of Manhattan, including Statute of Liberty and Ellie's Island. After going up of Empire state building we were in two minds, whether to go or not. Went during afternoon and there was no waiting. Took normal tickets at the entrance. The elevator ride is awsome with screens all around you. They show you a small film about the tower and the views it offers. You can also take a video guide( i pad) at extra cost which will help you to identify various city landmark from the top. Overall a great experience.

Nico

Fantastic experience. Educational and fast elevator ride up, followed by a quick reveal ceremony. The views are really one of the best in the city.

Frances Secondo

We visited on a perfect fall day, and the view was spectacular. Very efficient, timed entry so there was no real wait. Worth the trip!

Swaathi Rao

Great views of the city from the highest point! After contemplating for a good while whether to go to the One World or to the Empire State Building for the top views, settled for this one and it was so well worth it.. What I loved here - - This is easy to miss given you have whole of Manhattan to view from here.. but look out for the 9/11 Memorial.. it looks amazing from top! - The Empire State Building & Chrysler - The lift ride up to the 102nd floor.. which augmented the rise of Manhattan over all the decades.. it's pretty awesome and keeps your mind off how high you're actually going in that lift! - Water views from top were stunning.. including Lady Liberty.. a speck but nevertheless - The guys who give a nice talk about New York.. pretty awesome! Overall, totally recommend.

Mo Rosen

First time to the new building which is stunning. Have yet to venture inside. Additionally (there may be another location to post this on but will also here) the memorial they have for our beloved former center is very touching. They organized it beautifully with the water and honoring the fallen with their names surrounding the site.

Rodi B

Well if it's for the views it definitely deserves 5 starish. The basic admission fee (38$) is way too much for the short experience, and as if its not enough, when you get to the top floor they try to push you to rent some sort of a smart tablet that explains what you see out of those huge windows. too commercial for me. the original twin towers offered much better (and cheaper) experience and it was on a roof top under the blue sky

Eamonn Warters

This will give you the most amazing views of New York and the surrounding area. It is included in the City sightseeing pass which makes it great value. You need to purchase your ticket in advance as you will be given a timed entry. This helps to manage queues, which you will have if you buy a standard entry ticket. Fast passes are available, unless you are in a hurry I wouldn’t bother. The elevator experience is also quite something. At the top the views are breathtaking. If you are afraid of heights don’t worry the viewing platform is huge, stay away from the edge and you should be fine. The return elevator experience is also something special. Take a camera and Enjoy!

I went up the One World Observatory on the evening of September 11 2019. It was busy and full of people but still well managed. The security scans at the bottom were quick. The elevator ride to the top was awesome and fast. We were kept entertained by the walls having vision of New York. I went up at 6pm in time for a beautiful sunset at 7.10pm. As it was also the anniversary of September 12, a Tribute in Light was also lit. It was very beautiful and sad at the same time. The gift shop at the top also had excellent products to buy. #letsguide

Mary Clark

Beautiful experience. Very hard to take night pictures due to the reflections off the glass. When you first come up they show you a video on a long wall. Have your camera out. You will want to take a picture at the end of that video!

Keith Roussel

Visit for a bird's eye view of NYC. Great 360 views that you cannot get anywhere else in the city. I recommend visiting at least once because from street level one cannot get a good view of the area. I bought my ticket online 10 minutes before I walked into the building, and on a Sunday the line for the elevator was about a five minute wait. Being in the tallest building in the USA the elevator ride up is quicker than you might think. Once you exit the elevator there is a short presentation before entering the observatory. There is a reasonably fancy restaurant inside as well. Could be a nice place to bring a date, but the cost is likely to put a dent in your wallet. While the observatory has a timed entry, once in you can stay as long as you like. Just be courteous and don't put your hands all over the glass; it makes people's photos of the city turn out blurry. I gave this 4 stars because the price was higher than I think it is worth. I have also visited the observatory of Taipei 101 and Hong Kong's International Commerce Center and I must say that One World Observatory was the most expensive yet had to least things to do in it.

Taimi Hernandez

This place was amazing. You can see all of New York City! I was pleasantly surprised with the first point of contact. They showed us like a slideshow then all of sudden the walls open up and you get a beautiful view of NYC. I went at Night. Definitely recommend.

Black

The view from 102 floors up is absolutely breathtaking! You can see every part of NYC and parts of NJ. The elevator ride up is very cool with the walls being video displays. You could spend hours up here. I do wish the glass was positioned better so it is not so reflective making it a little tougher to get good photos

Ankit Baxi

Been living around here for a couple years but never had a chance to visit here. It's a amazing experience. Heard the hype about the elevators and they lived up. Was lucky enough to be there on a day the sky was mostly clear and it was breathtaking.

Yingying Yang

The one world observatory was amazing. The views were stunning and we were so high up. The observatory was well air conditioned and it smelled really good. You can have a 360° view of New York City just by walking around. There were tablets that shows you what everything is and it was and the real life panorama was amazing. 1 tablet was $15 but 2 tablets are $20. A very good deal. I was happy there was a bakery but the food and water was so expensive. The gift shop was cool but it was the most expensive thing ever!

Shari Costanzo

Great 360° views of the city! Have your phone ready on video for the ride up in the elevator, great video of the pictorial history of the city. There is a restaurant, bar and small self serve eating area at the top. You can hang out here as long as you like, we were there during a daylight thunderstorm and waited for it to clear up and also enjoyed the evening views!

Joshua Huddleston

Beautiful views and great food. Spent a nice evening here. The tour was short and sweet. Plenty of information or just a nice walk about. The elevator ride is literally out of this world. You can see the entire skyline. You can see Brooklyn bridge. You can see the statue of liberty. Basically the whole city. I am definitely going back.

Matthew Wright

The view was amazing but at nighttime there was too much reflection on the glass making it difficult to take a nice picture. Still I would say it is worth going up for the view. Maybe it would be better during the day. We got the dinner reservations and I recommend passing on that. The service was bad, the food was decent and the atmosphere was mediocre. Despite having reservations we were sat at the bar and then left for 20 minutes. When we finally complained they moved us to a table but our table was so close to another table it felt like we were having dinner with strangers. The view was nice but it was even better down below at the observation level so there really was no point in spending extra on the dinner.

DJ Joshi

One of the life experiences to see New York skyline form the top. Its unbeatable...the audio visual they show with curtain raiser sets the stage for an awesome experience. They should eliminate the commercial selling after the video. It is annoying and according to me keeps us away from the sight we have come to see. Top of the Rock can get crowded and windy unlike one world center where flow of people is well managed and basically it is very spacious at top. Not to forget the elevator ride is also an experience. All in All....worth a visit once in life!

Lucais Horsley

We enjoyed visiting the One World Observatory as part of our tour to New York. Fist time visiting the city after the Sept 11th. We visit the 911 Memorial to remember the heroes we lost on Sept. 11, 2001. Our tour guide person at One World Observatory was very knowledgeable. The view of the city of New York was amazing. Definitively, it was a great experience visiting it!

Vasiliki Pantzia

Amazing spot for photos with the NYC backround! The elevator ride up is very cool with the walls being video displays and shows you the building process. The view from 102 floors up is absolutely breathtaking! You can see every part of NYC and parts of NJ. You could spend hours up there. Ιt really is worth it rather than the expensive ticket

Erin Williams

Gorgeous views of the Manhattan, New Jersey, and Brooklyn. I loved the option for the ipad that identified landmarks. It's less expensive if you order it before you get to the top. The large glass windows give you unobstructed views. It's a bit harder to take pictures at night because you get reflections of the background in the shots, but the views are fantastic day or night.

Patti Robertson

One World Observatory was breathtaking. The views were spectacular. New York was extremely crowded, but the wait for the Observatory was only 10 minutes. The Empire State Building and the Rock lines were hours long, so we were glad we did the World Observatory. Highly recommend.

punit shetty

The view here is amazing. You can see most if NYC from the top. Go during the evening time when you have day light and stay for sunset. The video presentation in the elevator after the elevator and also while coming down is very nicely done.

Charles Martin

Great experience visiting the JetBlue sponsored elevator ride to the top of New York City where the view is pretty awesome in every direction especially when coming home to the tri-state area in which I grew up! Was able to point out all the landmarks to my partner in one shot as we walked around and enjoyed a drink at the restaurant. The pictorial on the elevator rides of historic development through time is very cool!

Biks Videography

One of my bucket list completed. I went to the observatory with my family and friends. It was heavily crowded and I got my ticket for 6 PM EST though I purchased around 2 PM EST. There is queue for security but in 20 minutes it cleared. The elevator riding was amazing and very nice presentation on the timelines. The video at the top is a great experience, The way it explained and the final opening to the view was heart touching. The staffs were very friendly and the view is awesome, we spent around 2 hours enjoying the view 360 degree and took nice photos from different angles. It was not so crowded but you can find better place for your photography with some waiting. I have visited 3 times and i loved each time I go up. The elevator while returning also very nice and the elevator will take exact 60 seconds to up and 60 to down also. Quality time spent there and worth visiting once.

Debbie Reitz

Absolutely amazing! The views are spectacular! It is a very humbling experience honestly! Just putting things into perspective at the beauty of our world and the ugliness that can take it away! But, in the end, the absolute wonder and beauty of people going on and pulling together in times of crisis!!

Tyler Warren

Great lookout. Lots if space to move around. Drinks, food and diner available as well up top so you can sit and enjoy the time. Great spot for any tourist!

Alex G

Excellent views in daytime today. Was a lil busy with loads of tourists (myself included). Great views of the city and surrounding areas. Went combo and got in very fast - line looked quite long. The elevator in my opinion is terrifying, similar to the cheese grater in London.

Evan Cobb

Eitan Zilkha

Amazing views and easy to enter, even with a pass! Entry was easy, security swift. Theres a short walk to the elevators explaining the base of the building. The interactive elevator is amazing with a lot to take in. Once at the top you are put in front of the tourist trap green screen to have your photo taken. Then a brief presentation with a great surprise at the end! Once in the observatory you can roam around as much as you like and watch a free regular presentation with some interesting facts. As a regular visitor to the twin towers previously, I was a little disappointed there's hardly any mention of them but I get the idea of this being a forward looking attraction etc.

Lucas House

Amazing building, but I have a phobia of elevators which meant I didn't want to go up it. I can imaging the view is beautiful though, especially when taking into consideration that it's the tallest building in New York. There is an entry fee from what I noticed, which ranges from $39-59. Each one offers you so.ethjng different, so be sure to have a look at the packages before paying!

Dinesh Rao

WOW! Loved it, The elevator was so much fun and the presentations were very quick but informative. I think the iPad part is waste of money so just stick to the regular ticket. Overall it is expensive for a family of 4. We went just before it started to get dark so could see well lit NYC. Loved it!! Highly suggested!!

Sokkalingam S Subramanian

The views are great, no doubt. The video that plays on the elevators while going up and down, the way the view is presented to you the first time is all very interesting and pretty amazing. It is a one time visit. But, I'm taking off a star because it was pretty difficult to get a nice picture without getting any reflection on the glass. It was quite frustrating. We went during the evening in order to see it during day time and night with city lights. I think I liked the day time view only better. When it becomes night, there is so much reflection on the glasses you really cannot enjoy the view. Hence I recommend day time visits.

Kathryn Cassidy

What an awesome view of the big beautiful city! Be sure to go on a clear day. Pay the extra to get 'All Inclusive' access. No lines. And they give you an Ipad so you know what you're looking at.

Sana Abdullah

I went to the observation deck of this building only because it was a part of the tour I took. What I would like to change about this is that the observation deck has glass walls. An open deck would have been so much better for photography. Next time if i ever come back to NYC, I will either opt for Top of the Rock or Empire State Building.

himanshu panchal

One word observatory is the best way to see the New York from the sky view. The tickets for it's like only $32. And stuff is really helpful and caring. You can spend as much time as you want on upstairs.

Tracy Yang

The World Trade Center views are stunning! Just with a standard pass, you are able to get 360° views of all of New York! The Panorama is informative and is very beautiful. The gift shop and cafe are full of snacks to enjoy while looking at the view, though is very expensive. I'd advise to bring your own water because the water in the cafe is pretty pricey. The elevator is well thought out and the tablets were a very nice touch.

Heidi Frivold

Nice building. Security was quick. Unfortunately the video in the lifts were not working on the way up (some were working on the way down). Prices to get in to the observatory was very high compared to what you get for your money - in my case, a trip in a crowded, dark lift. For three adults and a child, we ended up paying something close to 130 dollars. Once up there you get a nice view of the city, and my 6yo liked looking down over the cars and buildings. It was quite cool being even higher up than the helicopters. They had a guy speaking about NY, and we were fortunate enough to hear him chat about the best pizza places in the city (pizza is life), as well as telling us some great food-related stories. Pricey food and pricey souvenirs were available for purchase at the top.

Sachin Aggarwal

One of the best view you will get of New York. Will prefer it to any other high rise building in New York for observing New York City. The whole experience starting from the elevator carrying you to the top from the short clip they show you and then the 360 degree view of City from one of the tallest building in world is mind boggling. Get the tab which is a paid service to get more knowledge about the building you are going to see

Linda Gannon

This is a GREAT thing to do. We were there when Ben was the Tour Ambassador and he was GREAT!! He had so much knowledge about the city and he's so interesting to listen to. We LOVED IT!!?

Kenneth Morotto

Loved it, great place to bring the family. Great views of New York & New Jersey. Right on the Hudson river with a great view up the river. Restaurant was good but a bit pricey for what you received. However, it is New York! Plenty to do around that area also. Don't think you will be disappointed!!

Edy Hatcher

An absolute eye catcher! My husband and I had a blast going here and being able to see all of New York City and a few cities around it from the high up view. It can be a bit crowded and they do have some stations where you can rent equipment to see the city in even more detail, but we didn't do that. It's a great place to go for both tourists and locals.

Nate Miskimens

It’s definitely a view worth seeing at least once in your life because the view really is breathtaking. The experience of the elevator ride to the top and then seeing the view really is a well done production! I was pleasantly surprised. I would have to recommend going maybe on a weekday though, because the Saturday I went was packed with people at the top and I would literally have to wait in a line to look out the window. I was also not super impressed with the gift shop (not that that’s super important) overall the view is breathtaking and I definitely recommend going at least once in your lifetime.

Cristi Dobre

Great experience, the video in the lift is well made, the reveal was cool and the view of the city it's amazing. Not bad prices for coffee and snacks. If you wanna miss the masses go first thing in the morning .

Stephany Schreck

Was a great visit! We got a coupon from someone near the building that saved us money for VIP access. Highly recommended. Got front row to elevator access. The elevator ride up was a spectacle in itself. Great views of the city all around.

Darlon Sojak

Loved the history and the view. Great place for a family. A real can't miss kind of place. Not crazy about how they make you feel like cattle getting in and out of cattle cars on the way up and down but I do understand since so many people. Didn't like the way they literally make you go through their maze full of Chinese souvenirs on the way out.

Matan Barmats

Usually I'm not a fan of tourists' attractions, however this was a really great surprise to me. Even though I have been to many rooftops and saw dozens of views on the city, this was something else. The view from the observatory, the little surprise after you go up the elevator and even the elevator itself were all amazing and fun. We spent almost two hours up there, and looking back we could have spent more. 2 personal recommendations: I think the best time to go would be before sunset stars, as this way you can see the city in different lights. Last but not least, PRIORITY TICKET. We went there on a sunny weekend and the lines were gigantic. The priority pass must have saved us almost 2 hours of lines! If you are going on a convenient timing, others will probably do the same, buy the priority tickets, it's worth it.

Graciela L Tramontini

This place is stunning. I enjoyed the magnificient views and felt the intense positive energy that surrounds, not only this building, but also the whole memorial site. They've worked really hard to keep memories alive. If you have the opportunity to visit this place, don't miss it.

Marilena Woodruff

This is a GREAT thing to do. We were there when Ben was the Tour Ambassador and he was GREAT!! He had so much knowledge about the city and he's so interesting to listen to. We LOVED IT!!?

Tvr Murty

Straight up in seconds, the Lift to 101 floor takes just 45 sec. The opening of the view with a pre video and then a grand opening of a breath taking view really sets the bar high. And after that the experience continues to wow, all sides open with breath taking views and a ipad of rented to explain key places from one world is amazing. Not to forget the hospitality it is just superb. Overall 10 on 10 experience.

Piotr Golonka

Great place to combine the 9/11 memory with probably the best view point on NY. Don't miss the interesting talk about things to visit. Coffee and cinnamon bun in this breathtaking scenery make this an unforgettable experience!

Brittnie Lovin

Wow! Just wow! I couldn't get enough. Did this at night and LOVED the incredible views. I hope to visit this multiple times in the future. The elevator ride up and down are their own unique experiences. Staff is great here. FYI: Don't expect night photos to come out great (without a lot of effort) given the light coming from inside the building. The Top of the Rock observation deck is way better for night photos, or just find a rooftop restaurant/bar without glass in the way.

Charls Jarvis

The view here is amazing. One of the best view you will get of New York. There's a short walk to the elevators explaining the base of the building. Highly recommended.

CopyPastePad Info

Buyer Beware. They can close the deck anytime, no refund. They will can take your money and you can not do anything about it. You are better at other skyline views at other buildings. Avoid the Empire Sate Building. Buyer Beware

Anne Fernandena

I was very pleased that I was able to tour the observation level at One Wold Trade Center. The inside observation deck is ideal for taking in the view and in our case within an hour of rain clouds setting over Manhattan. The wide concourse and vaulted ceiling seemed to reduce the angst of falling I sometimes feel at extreme heights. The use of realistic digital displays throughout the elevator system was very impressive and speaks to the technological prowess of the building.

revanagouda pujer

Amazing views and tallest building in the NY city... had great time with family and friends

Luca Pass

This place was incredible. The view was so cool. You could see every part of New York, and everyone was taking pictures. I thought the guides seemed very knowledgeable. People from my group asked a few questions, and they were all answered immediately. The elavator is also pretty cool. It will tell you about the history of NYC. I would definitely recommend coming here with a group, or solo. An incredible place.

Carsten Stengaard

This is a great experience. And best of all you get a designated time slot within one quarter where you get to go in. No waiting in huge queues as one experience so many other places in NY. Besides - the ride in the elevator is just epic and of course - amazing views

Jessica Lee

I got to go with a friend Friday night after work since she works in the building, we got discounted tickets for $10.89 each. Awesome deal. You have to go through security check almost as vigorous as the airport's. Then there's a walk way for you to ride the elevator, which shows you images of NYC throughout the years. You're up to the 102 floor so fast. The observatory is 3 levels, with a bar and restaurant as well. Overall it was fun to see the city skylines. We also grabbed couple of drinks at the bar, stayed long enough to see the night view of the city as well, making it a complete experience. Would recommend

Ryan Tidwell-Davidson

Four stars for the view, but minus one for the marketing pitch for the Augmented Reality ipads. Could have done without that. (Plus all that light reflecting on the windows really took away from the view and experience) It was like 2 reveals too many. One reveal of the view is great. Then it would be nice to just go right to the windows to look out.

Our experience started well as there weren't too many people queuing outside. Once we got inside it was a different matter. Took 35 minutes to go through the security line, then to queue again for the elevators. I get that there has to be security but I feel it could be faster as plenty of other places are. Much bigger queue at statue of liberty for example and that didn't take as long. I would suggest having the info regarding the tower or something in the bit by the lifts just for something to look at. The elevator ride was amazing, loved the way it went through time. The video thing at the top should be optional as I'd have skipped it, not there for anything other than the view. As an avid photographer I was disappointed by the glass. I get that it helps have views the whole year round but is there not a way to stop people leaving grubby finger marks every where? Or can someone not clean them regularly? For $40 per person there must be some money for hiring a cleaner. Ruins the photos, especially as the sun reflects against them. Still got some amazing shots though so I would recommend visiting but top of the rock and empire state are better overall.

Great experience and value for money. It was amazing being able to see so far, 50 miles ahead from what I was told. Great opportunity for photos of the city. I apaud whoever cleans the windows! Really enjoyed listening to the speaker and took some recommendations from him for the rest of my trip in New York.

Views were spectacular, entire experience was awesome. Purchased the all inclusive package. iPads gave info on what you were looking at. Would suggest having a meal, although I didn't have time. Staff were wonderful.

There are some beautiful views however it's not worth 30 bucks. I'd slash that price in half. And then they try to make you pay 15 bucks for the IPAD that gives info about different parts of the city or certain buildings. That's should be included. I think the elevator ride is pretty cool in showing the changes to the city through years. Definitely Not worth going again .

The elevator and video and build up to the view is really great. The bar and restaurant was closed when I was there but they gave us tickets to come again. Here’s the one thing... be aware that when you get drinks at the bar, a tip is included!! No one told us. The bartender said nothing and we tipped again. We double tipped and I realized later that I had done it the last 4 times I was there. It’s really criminal that the bartenders say nothing. Just be aware. Other than that... it is really great.

It was okay. Went at night and the observatory was just too bright to have that good of a view of the city. They really try to sell you everything, to the point where paying $40 for a ticket to the top is like flying cheapest on spirit airlines. The video in the elevator on the way up was cool, but the way down made me crazy nauseous- if you are the slightest bit motion sensitive, maybe close your eyes. All in all, I wish we would have done the Empire State Building instead.

The Observatory was nice. We went in the evening and were able to catch only the night view. If you reach here before sunset, you can observe the city in evening and night view. The elevator was super speed. Good experience. But felt it was a bit costly.

This is something I believe everyone should experience in their life. The views you see are incredible and nothing can really compare to it. They also have very helpful staff and a nice restaurant at the top. The experience is wonderful!
