Tons of fun! Rides for the bugs and littles. It was such a nice day as well. Right on the water so the view is awesome. There are deals on rides certain days of the week. Definitely recommend. It's not huge, but you can waste some time there and be satisfied.
AMAZING!!!! Aboustly the best its soo relaxing you could go walk at the board walk feel nice and calm then go here and its bright its not that expensive the arcade is bad like its dirty and everything seems out of order. The rides are great for both small kids and tall adults. The ferris wheel is big, tall, bright that you could see miles away. And next to the ferris wheel there is a nice view of the ocean.
Fun although it's small: there is cotton candy, funnel cakes , and the ferris wheel is not the only ride there.Since there are a lot of people attending, parking was hard to find. The view of the water is great and the beach is also good .
It had most "carnival games" you would expect. The game attendants were friendly while promoting their respective games.
Lots of rides for little kids and great prices! They sell booklets of tickets or just get a wrist band for 29.99 we loved it!!! Kid approved
Pretty nice experience we have been here before and we enjoyed unfortunately time to go home Bally's casino Rock too Food not do much we eat in 3 different places I rather Don't mention here taste was really poor but overall everything else was great come visit Atlantic City guys
Visited the Hard Rock Cafe Bar on the Beach. It was great with live music. Beautiful day.
It's really crowded on summer holidays. It is also extremely expensive to ride any rides. It's $1.25 per ticket and every ride including children's rides are a minimum of 8 tickets. Oh yeah did I mention there is a 12.95% sales/luxury tax added to everything you do in Atlantic City. So be prepared to spend any money you win on the activities you do.
My family loves the game monopoly, it was really cool seeing the game's street signs. We had a great time.
Great place for rides and amusements, the big wheel here has a great view of Atlantic city and the beaches. Lots of food stands and restaurants too with the casinos just a stone throw away. A late night walk and it becomes illuminated.
Nice place for kids to have fun. view us spectacular.
Very attractive place for spend your time specially if you have kids the only thing is the time of the games we use the carrusel and were like 3 minutes and that's it. I know you want make money but this is not the way.
Beautiful, though not one ride is worth its cost therefore we didn't bother. However the pier is still busy and beautiful.
Kids had a blast. Expensive tho. Rather spend the money in Wildwood
Split my pinky toe. The ride operators where clueless. Yes the employees also made me remove my shoes. Which caused my toes to split. They had no paramedics available. Only clueless security. Which was extremely pointless
My children had fun on the boardwalk shopping and on the pier carnival rides. The beach water was really cold... and its mid Aug.
Fabulous place! Clean, spacious, great day with the family.
Not much to do Ferris wheel few little things for kids. Not favorable for adults
The Steel Pier was alovely experience. The view from the ferris wheel was amazing! The other rides however, we didn't try due to their odd payment systems. But it was nice to see all that stuff regardless. Next time we're trying the helicopter tour though. That's for sure.
Wonderful place to go on to, this place has numerous rides on the pier, They have rides for all, both kids and adults can enjoy the rides, there are many food places, nice see breezes with a great view. Everyone will love this place. I recommend its worth going there if you are 1 hour away. I spent more than half a day.
Not even a facsimile of what it used to be. Miss the shows. Famous acts. So many people there have no idea of the hallowed ground they are walking on.
Atlantic City is known for its Casino, it’s gambling, beach, clubs, etc.. But if you are trying to get away from all that then Steel Pier is the place to go. They have everything from arcade games, rides, food, and even helicopter rides. If you are trying to enjoy the view of Atlantic City and it’s beach then the Ferris wheel
This is a place where it's good to just walk around and have a good time watching others on the rides. For me, the Ferris Wheel was all I could take but loved all the arcade games. Nice to see families out enjoying themselves. At night, the Ferris Wheel changes colors. It's beautiful. Almost like a fireworks show. I will definitely return.
Cool for smaller kids. Rides pretty limited otherwise.
Nice place to go with family. Plenty of fun rides and games. The games are expensive but fun to do with family. We went on a Thursday where you can pay $30 for an all you can ride pass from 1-6pm. Which is a good deal!!
Great place to visit while in A.C. From the Ferris Wheel to the Slingshot to helicopter rides. There's plenty of fun to be had. There's also a bar at the end of the pier
Saw AC Airshow, the entire day blessed. Didn't get on the Peer at all.
Tuesday's are 2 ticjets for any ride. The owner, managers and employees make this a great experience. Park at Hard Rock and walk out to boards!!!
Amazing amazing amazing ..... The only bad part was there is no map of the city on where hotels are located. We rented on beach but not by board walk.
Have a blast. Beautiful view last night. Cant wait to do it again next year.
What an excellent and enjoyable place! Fun for the whole family at a reasonable price! Would definitely go over again and again!
It pretty much is just a carnival on a pier. It doesnt need much more of a description than that. Prices for tickets were a little inflated. And it can get a little crowded with rides having long lines. The only ride I would suggest would be the ferris wheel, aside from that I wouldn't recommend any other ride.
My husband and I stayed at the Show Boat Hotel: very comfortable, clean and courtious staff. Clean boardwalk, close to great food and entertainment.
Too much fun! Highly recommended for family fun
The view from the ferris wheel is amazing. But it is a lot smaller than I remember. Mind you i haven't been in almost a decade but looking at the park from the ferris wheel i was like, where is the go karts, where is the disco etc. I went during off season so the pier isnt fully open.
1st time. I'm coming back soon. Loved Atlantic City!!
Great atmosphere. Kid and adult ridess. Even a helicopter ride!
Nice pier to bring the kids to for rides and games. Rides are pretty impressive for a small venue. My teens liked it.
A busy pier. Has rides. One of the few places to get actual ice cream also. The boadwalk is well maintained. Decent northern beach.
Loved watching the wheel which was lit up at night.
We had fun but there isn't that many rides for the little ones. There are better amusement parks in Ocean City short ride away. In addition one of the rides was blasting completely inappropriate music for children with every other word mother F-bombs. We went to different area of the park and left. I don't want my kids to listen to that kind of language.
Pretty cool place for younger children and adults. I like it. People love them.
Need newer rides and a better way to rip people off
I had a very good time at my home away from home it's just like I remember since I was a child except for it's very digital which is not bad they still do concerts in the sand the food is great so are all the owners of the stands they are very courteous and a lot faster when making your meal or cotton candy ,ice cream, and funnel cakes just to name a few well however all good things close and you wait for try it you just might like it there area lots of other cool going on right now.
Fun fun fun. Better than before. A must go for the summer
Nice place to enjoy with the kids. 5 star
Love the outdoor bar and entertainment just outside of the pier. No into games or rides but enjoy the history of the pier. Wish I was around to see the diving horses!
What can I say about the Steel Pier, but awesome! I've been here many times. This trip I really just walked through looking for sweets lol! Anyway it's greats for kids and big kids lol! Also, the history behind it makes it more interesting. They need to show a screen with the history. Visit if your ever in Atlantic City!
We go annually. Fun day for the kids!
Very nice, relaxing fun nice view I recommend this places.
My boyfriend and I rode the Ferris Wheel at sunset and it was absolutely perfect. It was about a 20 minute ride and we went around a few times. We truly enjoyed it. We rode a few other rides as well and we didn't have to wait on a line at any of them. We had a great time and definitely recommend.
It's gone downhill. Sadly not from my olden days there. We were disappointed, trash every where, I wanted to get a huge bag and pick it up. Not much to offer. Just gambling which not interested.
A.C. I don't go there that often maybe like once every 3 years but each time I do go it's declining more & more & that particular day it truly was a ghost town, It's a damn shame it went from a nice summer home vacation spot to ripping people off casinos ( But atleast it was all lite up & vibrant with people) to alot of those casinos closed down vacant looking & everything looking like it's just falling apart!!! & off the boards the streets are dirty properties disintegrating it's just not a very pleasant town anymore...
Did not go in because of the weather but enjoyed seeing from the outside. On a clear and nice day I would have loved to have gotten some pics from the ferris wheel.
Very nice to spend time here with family, little members are loved it. Foods are good here too. Perfect after a long beach day.
Had a great time here...lots of fun and friendly staff.
Great fun place when you are here with the kids. The rides are less in number but great fun nevertheless
I love the Steel Pier, but the season hasn't started yet, it is only open on weekends right now. As I was leaving on Saturday morning I was unable to get onto the pier to ride anything! The Ferris wheel is great! Nice big closed cars with the second best view of the beach. At night there is a fine light show on the structure of the ferris wheel. So only 3 stars because I didn't get to ride.
Good old fashion amusement park. Fun rides and a good overview of the ocean.
Nice family place. Fantastic views from the ferris wheel. Which is a must see.
This was the calmest ferris wheel I've ever been on. Well worth the wait. They did two rounds, but it was very peaceful, slower than others and a great view. The car was actually climate controlled too! Mid July, and they had air conditioning! Seats were comfy and I'm really curious to try it when it's colder for the heated abilities.
Price of the rides are high. Walk round and find out what rides you want to do, then get that exact amount of tickets. Each ticket is $1.25. If you want to ride a lot of them, get the wrist band on Thursday for $30 to ride it all. Note not everything is included in the wristband! The Wheel for example is not included at all and is just a pay per person setup.
This was a cute little pier. I think the price for the ferris wheel was ~$10 for 15 min., and had to be paid separate from the rest of the games just like the helicopter ride. Atlantic city is perhaps not the first place you would think of for a getaway, but this ended it nicely. I suggest going at sunset if you do this, the view was really nice.
We did the Rockin' Wristband Thursday for $30 each and it was worth it for the kids. Paid for it's self in 45 minutes. Half the park rodes accommodate solo riding for 48 inches and below. Most of those are good for 36 inches. The other half of the pier has more adult rides at 52 inches and up. Practically no lines before 6 PM.
Loads of carnival games and little carnival rides. Best suited to just between 6 and 13 I would think. The biggest ride is $10 a person. And it gives you a 15-minute ride. But the views are unbelievable.
I haven't been to the Steel Pier in years So a friend and myself decided to visit. It was so worth the trip. I felt my inner child scream with delight when I won a bear at my favorite ride. So worth the high price of the game.
10$ a ride but had a great time with my 10 yr old!!
Who wants to pay $85 for three rides?? Don't get me wrong, some of the rides were okay, but the prices are ridiculous. AND, I PAID for a digital picture picture of me and family and it has been 3 days. Still don't have it. They sent me a confirmation text but never sent me the link. Tech support email does not respond at all. What a waste of money :/
It was a rainy day and they were open but closed. confusing but it's a popular attractions that feels sufficient
The must amazing beach and pier experience I've had on the east coast.. would go again in a heart beat.. maybe dinner than I'm thinking
THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO VISIT . THE BREATHING SMELLS OF THE BEAUTIFUL OCEAN WAS EVERYWHERE AND WHEN ON THE PIER YOU WERE RIGHT ABOVE THE OCEAN . THERE'S SOO MUCH TO DO ON THE PIER AND BOARDWALK . BUT FOR ME IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE OCEAN AND THE BEACHES . BECAUSE THEY ARE MY ONLY REAL HAPPY PLACES . AND I'M FOREVER TRUELY GREAT FULL TO MY SPECIAL FRIENDS ESPECIALLY MARGE FOR MAKING THIS DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME BY TAKING ME ON THIS VERY SPECIAL TRIP THAT ONE COULD ONLY DREAM ABOUT GOING ON . ATLANTIC CITY NJ IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO GO TO. I LOVED EVERY SECOND I WAS THERE ❤️. AND NOW I HAVE SPECIAL MEMORIES OF THAT SPECIAL TRIP WITH THE GREATEST FRIENDS IN THE WORLD ❤️
I highly recommend a ride on the ferris wheel on a clear day. The view of the Atlantic City skyline is different from anything you've seen before. The ride goes on for a good amount of time and you get an opportunity to stop and take a lot of pictures. Enjoy!
Its a boardwalk. Lots to see while on the boardwalk. Lots of stores / shops. The funnel cake was good.
Fun for all ages. No long lines. Plenty of games and rides for everyone.
Tickets are pricey but good for the kids. Only do wristbands for rides on Thursday which was a bummer. Good for kids. They have slingshot and helicopter rides too.
This pier reminds me of being a kid again! Imagine my delight when I was able to take my sister in law there for the first time in her life! The first thing she couldnt wait to do was ride The Wheel so she can see all of AC (weather didn't cooperate so much). We had such a great time!
Love the boardwalk when it's not crowded, but love walking on the beach betyery, cute stores.
Nice views of the boardwalk from this area. We did not go on any rides due to injury, but prices seemed average for a carnival. The place seems like it could use some upgrading, but that seems to be all of atlantic city. I'm not sure this would be a place you could enjoy for long. Maybe an hour or two. More of a gimmick place for a date, not a must see. If travelling with kids would take them to somewhere else. They would have more fun for less money.
It was a great experiance with kots of things to do!! Loved the Beach and loved all the shops. Too many panhandlers however. For that reason alone, I drop my rating a little!!
It was a cool site at least. Weird hours so didnt get to do anything. But was fun to see.
Yeah stuff is really over priced, but thats to be expected, pretty clean, safe for kids. We will definitely be back
Fun but pricey. Bring cash or you will end up buying extra at every shop to hit $10 minimum
Great board walk. Lots of things to do and lots of stores (selling pretty much the same things). I don't recommend leaving the boardwalk area when going to AC. Walking back to the madison hotel at night was pretty difficult with all the crime going on around us. This place in general is not kid friendly with all the addicts on the board walk.
Nice place to take the kids. Tickets are average price, but they charge almost 13% tax which seems completely out of line. Otherwise not a bad place to spend an evening.
So much fun, the ferris wheel was absolutely worth every penny!
We arrived tonight at steel pier to ride the ferris wheel- something we had been planning to do on our anniversary trip. Today is our first anniversary as husband and wife and we thought this would be a special addition to our trip in AC. We arrived at the pier at 7:45 pm to enter and we were turned away. The rude man that worked there asked us why we expected to ride the wheel this late as they were closing. Mind you, the hours stated on their website are12-9 pm Saturdays & Sundays. (Today is Sunday) The experience was awful and I don't wish it on anyone coming to ride the wheel. We were told that they can close the pier at anytime they please regardless of business hours. (They do this if there aren't enough people there) I also find this hard to believe as they were also turning away hoards of people for no good reason. Why close when there are group of people trying to come in and ride rides? Needless to say the nasty employee and lack of planning on the part of the workers at this pier will be their downfall. If you're going to close at will, it needs to be posted on your website so that people can be aware of it. Do not have set hours if you refuse to follow them- and maybe train your employees to not use profanities when they are turning people away. There are children around and we did not enjoy being cursed and screamed at when we asked for a simple explanation. I'll never come here again, and if you're thinking of it as a family destination, I would think long and hard about the kind of "business" these people are running and if it's worth subjecting your children to.
Nicely rebuilt after Sandy. Lots to do and great for the little ones as well as the teenagers and adults. Become a kid again and take your family too the steel pier!
Overall really good, but the rides were closed during the weekdays. Took the ferris wheel.
We had a wonderful memorial day in Atlantic City. It was so much to do...fun for days. Casino, boardwalk, beach, shopping, games, and restaurants galore. The perfect get away
Lots of rides for the little ones....Tickets are 1.25 each or theres a pack of 50 for $50. No ride wristbands except for Thursdays 1-6pm and the ferris wheel is not included in any ticket sales. Its $10 per person, last 12-15 minutes.
Beautiful atmosphere. The drinks are affordable and there is always a good band playing. Very fun place to hang out with friends.
Kind of grungy and dirty. Definitely over priced.
Air conditioned wheel cabins?? AWESOME!!! The cabinets fit up to 6 ppl and is really nice! Great views and a little bar right at the base so you can hang out on the wheel with a nice drink and good friends!
Love Atlantic cities boardwalk, nice and wide, smooth boards, this is our second time here and we have loved it both times!!!
Always a frustrating experience here. Tickets are extremely overpriced, and rides require way too many tickets to ride. The area is extremely congested, and it’s just not worth the aggravation. Better to take the 30 minute drive to Ocean City!
Great place for kids. This place is turning AC around.
Great view from the top of the ferris wheel. Some of the rides were closed but there were still plenty of fun options.
Busy place - good for the kids but bring a fat wallet cause it will cost you.
Near here is the beach sand that was first under my little feet, when my family came to Atlantic City from Philly for the summers in the forties and fifties. There's less of it now; no Diving Horse, no big ballroom for name acts, no Diving Bell for a submarine trip under the surf beneath the pier, but the feeling is the same. That great walkway out over the ocean. There's a Giant Ferris Wheel now for a spectacular ride high in the salt air with a wild light show to boot. There's other kiddie rides and amusements on the pier as well. And the World's Longest Boardwalk is still the best. I miss my Kohr Bros Frozen Custard from the past, but between the T-shirt shops and the cold drink stands, cruising the boards still feels the same, and that's good. Oh, the singular creosote aroma wafting from the wood, mixed with the salt mist and the sand, still holds those beach memories tightly. It still smells wonderful and feels even better.
I had so much fun at the Steel Pier!!! My cousins and I had a fun time on all of the rides. I just wish there were more ways to get tickets for rides. When we went there were only 2 booths and one of them was not in service so we had to wait 25 minutes just to pay for our tickets. And the ride “Surfer” was way too rough. Every body was bumping into each other and it hurt. But other than that it was a fun experience and a great place to look at the sun set on the Ferris wheel.
Awesome Funnel Cakes & the cheapest on the entire AC Boardwalk!! $4.50!! Every other place averages $8-$9!! Steel Pier is half the price & tastes the BEST!!;;
A great spot for the family of you want to take a break from the casino.... Outdoor fresh air... Why not???
Pretty decent for a boardwalk amusement park. Seemed fairly clean and organized (for the space available). Only one ride not running the two days we went. They also offer a helicopter ride right from the end of the pier.
Great for family time our just a couples retreat. Had A blast and intend on making it a usual stop when I GI to Atlantic City!
Great place to bring the kids. They offer helicopter rides. Too chicken to get on one myself. Go to the bar at the end of the pier for amazing views of the beach and boardwalk.
Great outing! Family friendly. **NOTE.. shade is minimal so plan accordingly**. The photo seen is from the ferris wheel. The cars are air conditioned and heated as weather dictates. I'm sure the boardwalk and the pier are impressive at night with all the lights ablaze. My next visit will be an evening visit... I'm not sure how child friendly the pier and boardwalk might be once it gets dark. Fun day date!
Had a great time looking and enjoying the sights and sounds of the boardwalk! Steel Pier is nice!!! Wet Willie's is nicer lol... Drawback: The homeless harassing patrons for change and food
Mostly concrete. Attached to a wooden boardwalk. So many lies. Fun rides for the kiddos though.
I loved the Steel Pier. I went with my boyfriend Jeff and we had agreat time and we went on all the rides. It was Fantastic. The Restaurant we went to eat. was great too.
Still have that Old School Memory Lane Feeling., Look back on the White and Brown Horse that use to Jump Off the Pier into the Atlantic Ocean. "WOW" That's apart of how Atlantic City came about. It's great to reach back and enjoy your Childhood Memories down on the Boardwalk. Keep AC alive.
Wide variety of Games and rides. Got me some good gelato!
Fun place! Sugar Factory is a must! Delicious!
Stopped here and listened to the music while we ate boardwalk fries and drank a soda from the 99 cent store. Nice place to relax.
I wasnt super impressed. It was very expensive to do anything so we just walked around to check it. Still cool to see.
Games are fun! Rides are awesome amd safe! More for the bigger kids would be great its more for 6 amd under
It's a nice addition to the Boardwalk. That said, it's also a little expensive, not too bad. My only real complaint is hardly any one who works on the pier speaks much English. Made it tough to buy, ride or find out things.
I was exspecting more rides. There were only a hanful of rides. I went with my grandson and he wanted to go on crazy mouse , you needed 3 ridees so that left 10 per person for the wheel or 3 adult rides or all baby rides. Then other were extreme that cost extra. Was thinking pier was bigger but was not. Considering only pier on AC boardwalk I guess it would have to do.
Nice but games 5 bucks come on we had 8 kids with use you need compatition
Such a fun place. My family had a great time.
It's not the steel pier i grew up on and loved....
Loved the pier. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the rides are 2 tickets each until 6pm!
Fun place but overpriced for my standard. 10 per person for the ferris wheel. I'd say that's pretty expensive. But still my kids loved the atmosphere and the fried oreos.
Was not bad at all, young lady taking tkts we saw earlier in the day as a waitress (who seemed tired in the AM) was now full of life and smiles. The ride on the wheel was great
So beautiful and so much fun! There is no shortage of fun here. So much to do the food is amazing ! Recommend to all. 10/10
The place has pretty cool rides including amazing Ferris wheel goes around several times so you have to be aware of that.
Always a fun time ... Haven't been let down yet. My children Love's it... And still wants to go back
Fun rides and games. Good place to take the kids after a day at the beach.
Step right up! Steel pier is a good time day or night.
