Clean beaches, safe and friendly atmosphere. Beach tags are reasonable. The town is cracking down on the beach drinking. We've never seen out of hand issues in 15 years, but we don't sit in front of the downtown boardwalk area so maybe it's worse there

We love the Ocean City beach. It's well cared for and you have the boardwalk right there next to it which makes it special. I don't appreciate having to pay $5 per person every time I want to use the beach, but I imagine it goes towards maintenance. Overall it is one of our favorite places to go.

Nice & clean beach. Parking available on the road and also on 12th and 13th Street for 20 to 25$ per day. Ocean city beach badges have to be bought for 5$ Activities to do Para sailing Jet ski Cycling

The boardwalk was super fun. The beach was clean, plenty of chairs and umbrellas to rent. Only down side, rude ppl on the beach. One family arrived and set up, the kids went to play while the mom and grandmom stayed. The sat 6 EMPYT chairs apart, and had a yelling conversation. We ended up moving to another area, then two young men and a young lady arrived. They brought a radio, and beer. I wouldn't have cared much, but they too got real loud obnoxious.

It's a dry town so safe for the family. Has a great boardwalk with multiple amusement parks, lots to eat, and many other stores. You need tags for the beach but they're clean.

Apparently the stores on the boardwalk "own" the beach in front of them. So some of them will make you pay to be on "their" beach, even though you buy a beach tag. Makes no sense but I guess that's what you get for daring to challenge the almighty boardwalk monopolist Jilly.

Fun to wander the boardwalk and go to the beach. Not very much healthy food available but lots of candy, mini golf, escape rooms, pizza, fried things, kids and tons of teenagers in the evening. If you're looking for a quiet beach this is not the place. Personal note: lost my cell phone when I left it behind and a fellow beachgoer found it and saved it for me. Thanks!!

Absolutely great place to go for a beach trip. Enough to entertain all ages in a family. The local shops and dining are wonderful. The updated parking with paying in the lots thru the machines are great. It allows you to pay for hours which helps out for day trips. Boardwalk is great. Not overcrowded. Beavh umbrellas are available for rent if needed!

This is the birthplace of beaching. This is the one beach that has it all. The smells, the sounds, the sights. Good family atmosphere and fun for all ages. Get very crowded after 6pm. Up till noon you can ride bikes, there's food, shops amusement parks, a beach, and lots more. Most of the shops and more on the boardwalk are closed from September through memorial day.Good place to vacation in summer.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous! The boardwalk was clean and had some cute shops on it. Many were closed because it was the off season but the ones that were open were very cute. The beach’s sand was clean with no litter. It was very quiet and peaceful with a lot of pretty seashells.

One of the best places on the New Jersey shore for a family. OC is a " dry " town which changes the whole atmosphere and keeps it family friendly. Downside is a lot of out of state license plates which causes a lot more traffic and harder to find a parking spot.

Great beach I’ve been missing all my life! We had heard that OC Maryland was much better than OC NJ so we went to MD years ago, hated it, and therefore ignored OC NJ. HUGE MISTAKE! We only went for a day because our expectations were not high. This proved to be a terrible mistake as we absolutely loved it. The beach was super crowded but the boardwalk was insane. Filled with rides for the kids and lots and lots of activities. The gigantic $30 pizza we had was good and we truly did not want to go home but it started raining. Oh, there is also a DOLLAR STORE on the boardwalk!!! Perfect if you have several children, like us, who want snacks! We were thrilled to see that and got everyone whatever they wanted out of there!!! HUGE MONEY SAVER! We will definitely be back and will stay over night next time!

Had a great time! Very family friendly. There was a lot of people on a Saturday in August but to too over crowded. Beware the seagulls. One swooped in under our canopy to snatch a sandwich right out of our sons hands. The boardwalk was fun with lots of shops and places to eat. The beaches have life guards. There were enough “waves” for boogie boards.

The beach used to be so long, but then erosion happened and it got so short. I am glad they replenished the beach, because the boardwalk has so much to do and so much to see. I recommend this as your go-to beach for summer vacation, because there is so much more to this place than the beach. Watch out for those seagulls though, one time I was eating a box of cheez-itz as a kid on the beach, and then they just snatched the entire thing up and carried it away. The seagulls will attack you if you have any food on the boardwalk (especially Chickie and Pete's).

A tag beach(must pay to be on beach) that was not worth the visit. Swim areas were very small, beach guards/patrol were very far apart, seaweed and crab issue in water, however 1 city away they did not have that issue. Boardwalk was decent however most places only accepted cash no cards taken various ATM machines that charge ridiculous fees.

LOL we are locals I wasn't on the beach although I've been on there plenty of times and find it always a good time but this time my grandkids were down so I was just sitting on the boards people watching after eating at Tony P's which their Pizza is always good and they played shoobies and emptying my wallet doing the haunted miniature golf some rides shopping at sugar and a few other stores had to hit kohrs Brothers Rita's Shrivers yes I spent a fortune what you have to do what you do for your grandkids but like I said I was just people watching well they ran up and down no Beach this time

Family friendly NJ vacation spot. The town is nonalcohol in all restaurants but you can bring ur own alcohol in town. Has a good size broadwalk alot of small shops in town. Events happening every week in seaaon. Beaches are very clean especially on the south end of town. Draw back is rent is expensive but u can find some deals.

Miles of clean, beautiful New Jersey beach. Thinking about Ocean City's Beach in February while flicking through picture albums from summer's past. Popping colors remind the world is not always as muted as it was today. Bright skies and smiles. Glinting eyes. Swimsuits drenched from taking dips. Flying kites, digging in the sand. Frequent snack breaks. Crowds of the like minded, but there is always room somewhere not too far from the waves. $5 beach tags required and life guards on duty until 5 pm during summer season. No alcohol allowed.

April 20th, 2019 off of the 11th Street beach and boardwalk. Brutus and I weren't the only dogs at the beach or boardwalk that day. Soon the season will start and we can no longer bring them there. It was our first and only visit because they don't make it known what the dog rules are. If they do, I haven't seen it posted. If anyone could tell me more about the rules for dogs I'd appreciate it.

Short frontage to the shoreline but the location and vibe are very family friendly. The boardwalk is clean and seems to be enjoyed by families and grandparents.
