Amazing little trip around of manhattan.

Second time on the 2.5 hour circumnavigation of Manhattan. It was new this most recent time with a different guide and that added more context. Even without the interesting facts and history, it is a beautiful cruise. There is plenty of room to move around and take photos. It was cool, cloudy, and windy, but even that did not spoil it. Highly recommend Premier for just a few dollars more.

Location is not easy to find. Better ask people. It's worth the price( bucket list)

Took the harbor lights sunset cruise in the summer that went up to 2 hours long which does not seem that long when you are on the cruise! The weather was perfect and our tour guide was very good in walking us through the major sightseeing spots. The ride was very relaxing and pleasant. The highlight of the trip was watching the lights go lit in the statue of liberty, right it front of you from the cruise. The city, when lit up, looks beyond beautiful at night. It can get real windy and kinda cold in the middle of the ride so be sure to carry an extra jacket, just in case. Also, make sure you get there early as soon as the boarding starts, to get some good seats for your photos with the views.

Best tour we had in comfortable surroundings. Bar/refreshment area could be better but adequate

Simon Hees

I bought the Tour that usually Takes about 3 hours and it was awesome. The Guide Had a very chill voice and explained what the buildings on the Land we're. Sadly, because i decided to try the Tour on a high tides day, we weren t able to Go the east River all the way up because of the low Bridges over the River. All in all a very amusing and informative Trip that was very Well the 5 bucks.

The tours are amazing! The guides are informative and fun, the lines get long but that’s pretty standard when going to an attraction. The new boats are very nice and the food on board it good!

Patrick MacDonald

Great tour of the island by boat. The tour guides are very knowledgable and give lots of fun facts as well as make sure you see everything you are wanting to get a photo of.

We took the one hour Liberty cruise, and it was definitely worth it. Fantastic city views and great views of the Statue of Liberty. Highly recommended!

Excellent way to see the various sites! The narrator, John Mason, has such a great voice. Very easy to understand and very helpful staff. We took the 11 o'clock boat and the trip took around 1h45.

Arun Mathew

Nice place to spend sometime alone

Their night time cruises can be a lot of fun. There's music, drinks and dancing. The crowd varies. The crowd size varies. Usually like a 4-hour tour. Not bad prices on the drinks. Easy access. The Bar staff were kind and friendly and a lot of fun. #sightseeing #yacht

The "around Manhattan" trip, which cost $44 per person, didn't actually go around Manhattan. The first two times I took this trip it did. This time it went up the East River to Hell Gate, then turned around and went up the Hudson to about 110th Street. I felt cheated: no Yankee Stadium, no Columbia Boathouse, no Bronx Community College (of Son of Sam fame). The supposed reason was "the tides." But the tides aren't a mystery. We know the timing of the tides in advance. And the trip was promoted as around Manhattan. It wasn't. The guide was great, as always. Personable, knowledgeable, entertaining. I've lived here almost 40 years, give or take a few, and I always learn new things when I take one of these cruises. But Circle Line management needs to get its story straight.

What a blessing it is to be in a totally different state and region.. Never stop

Svetoslav Stamov

We got Harbor Lights. From the very beginning to the end it was fantastic! Worth the time, one of 'must go' attraction! Included very close view of night light Statue of Liberty!

Bobby Allee

Great way to see alot of New York in short amount of time. Stop at the locations you want to visit. Take the night cruise for awesome night views of Manhattan skyline and bridges.

Awesome ride! But you have to stay on your chair to let others see the city as you do. The trick to fix this the right way is not to keep you seated but load less passengers per ride... The staff was very kindly, and the views were really nice! See some pics! (Ride time: 19hs)

Ransom Stanley

Great time had by the family! Did the Liberty cruise. An hour was perfect. Tour guide was excellent and very informative, not to mention funny. 50% off for military made this worth every penny. Thanks guys.

Nathan Henderson

A one-hour cruise down Manhattan's west side to the Statue of Liberty and back. The tour guide was very informative and entertaining. Various historic and architectural landmarks will be pointed out, with some context for each one. Both sides of the boat will have views and time for pictures at the Statue, but the tour does not dock there. Be sure to see the USS Intrepid and her aviation museum when you get back.

Kate Whittaker

Selected the Night Lights tour as one of your CityExplorrer Pass options and we were highly impressed! David was the guide and we really enjoyed his commentary and appreciated the fact that he was inviting guests that chose to stand, to sit down. I would have otherwise missed a lot of what he's pointed out! The night tour was very romantic, albeit a little cold in October. Even then, I'd do it all over again!

An amazing, not too expensive trip to the statue of liberty! Loved it! What a fantastic memory.

Very nice. The cruese 2.5 hours is too long but nice

kyle moody

Very cool cruise. Inside in climate control so don't worry about getting sunburn. You can go outside too and look over boat. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. A neat way to see the sights on the Hudson river if your lazy like me and didn't want to walk.

Nizamul Hoque

I was disappointed as the boat didn't really stop in front of the statue for good photos. They just slow down and make a u-turn. Also, it was completely full on the upper deck which made it even more difficult to take any good photos. Also didn't like the seating arrangement, if you are not seated on the side, won't even get a photo without other people in it. Other than these, everything else was fine. Would recommend only if you can ensure a good seat at the edge.

Russ Rosenlof

Statue tour at night was pretty cool, not too long, reasonable priced too.

Natasha Pippen

We got out there right before the rain storm. When taking off and docking you are inside. Once they are at a comfortable spot you are able to go outside. You get a beautiful view of the statue of liberty! This tour was well worth it!

I took Landmarks Cruise on 05/26/19, 2 pm the boat was great and the cruise was excellent! But i have to tell that they really need to improve ticketing part of it. I purchased 3 tickets online and printed them in order to avoid a line to the ticket box. When I arrived to the line for boating I was send back to a line for a ticket kiosk because they do not accept printed tickets nor electronic from cell phone screen. It was hot sunny day and i was with two elderly friends and no space for them to wait in a shaded area. And we have to stay in long line to the kiosk to get tickets again. but this is not end! the lady in the lady in the kiosk took my printed tickets for 2 pm and gave me tickets for 7 pm! and I did not noticed that right away, and went back to the boarding line, when I noticed the mistake I have to run back to the kiosk asking people in long line to get me in without waiting (which I hate to do! ) after all i finally got the right tickets. Another experience I got on the second floor of a boat at the cafeteria, where i ordered bottle of water and wine, lady was not able to process wine on the electronic device she was trying and trying and no way, I left tips anyway for her and asked for two plastic cups she passed it to me and told that it is not permitted. Again the boat and trip was great except all of the above.

Best of NYC cruise. Great way to spend 2.5 hours relaxing and taking in the sites, we went for the first tour at 10:00am and the queue wasn't too bad, however by the time we returned, the lines were pretty big. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and made relevant comments at the various points of interest. We sat on the "right" hand side of the boat having read another review that it's the best place to view the statue of liberty, however it wasn't mentioned the boat turns around so people on the left hand side get a good view for photographs. The route also favours the left hand side for the unobstructed views (unobstructed as in the other people on the boat), however whichever side you are sat on, they are still fantastic.

Karen Williamson

Andy was a FANTASTIC tour guide. Sapphire was a friendly and helpful attendant. Our entire family loved every minute of the 7pm 2 hour sunset Cruise. Amazing views of all of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Loved going under the 3 bridges (B, M, W) and learning so much of the city history from Andy. Highly recommend. We paid extra for premier and enjoyed the comfy indoor seats and bar service at our seats. You can also go outside and enjoy views.

Ana Slocum

We bought tickets for a Statue at Night sightseeing your and were able to see the Statue of Liberty at sunset, which was beautiful! The tour guide was funny and very informative, and it was a great way to start our trip to NYC. Easy to get to - short walk from PATH station at One World Trade Center. The ship was an antique, but it did its job and we felt safe the whole trip.

Maninder Kaur

It was nice. We went on a memorial day weekend so it was very crowded. It got boring somewhere along mid way probably because it was a long 2hr 30 min cruise. Not much snacks or water on board. Took a long while standing in the que to order some from the bar for my husband. I would go again but would probably look at the shorter cruises or ones in the evening when the sun is not that harsh.

Marylou Trifiletti

We went mid October, it was a little chilly for the 5:30 round. They were very informative and it was just enough time on the boat. We saw many landmarks, very happy with this cruise.

Sanghamitra Bhattacharjee

It's beautiful. Must go for this sightseeing. You can see the entire city from water. The person who was guiding was really nice and knowledgeable, he was telling story about each and every building or place, it's like you are not going to miss anything. And if you have less time in hand or small baby with you then rather going for anything else go for this sightseeing. It took around 3 hours for us. Carry your jackets if you want to stand or sit outside on deck area and enjoy the ride. Inside cruise food is available, washrooms are there. All together it's wonderful.

Adam Kowalski

Sem Ekkelboom

Lovely view of the New York skyline. I would suggest doing this tour in the evening because of the beautiful city lights and the light on the statue of liberty. Take a coat because it can be cold on the water.

A fun time

Daniel Rhodin

We did the ”best of NYC” tour that took 2.5 hours. Boat was nice and the guide told a lot of interesting fact and fun stories. As the tour goes around whole Manhattan, there’s a lot to see. Unfortunately, for the same reason, the tour length can’t be shorter as it gets a bit too long in the end.

Torsten Voigt

A great way to discover the city from a different angle, learn about New York City and New Jersey and relax for some 2.5 hours. This is the second time I did the Best of NYC Cruise and I can highly recommend it.

Charles Shapiro

This was an excellent tour around the island, an amazing perspective of some of New York's amazing landmarks that you cant get from the land. Our tour guide was very informative and entertaining without going into way too much detail, he clearly knew a lot about the city and certainly loved his job. Some people say the tour is a bit long but I would disagree. Felt perfect to me, but I could see how it might be lengthy for younger children. I strongly recommend the upgrade to the premium seats, so much more comfortable and you can always get up and walk around outside for great photo ops.

Anton Zouplna

We wanted to do the Harbor Lights cruise. After booking and receiving an email confirmation including boarding passes for the premier tickets we were contacted and told those tickets were not available...not sure how that happened - you know the most important part of issuing tickets is probably to make sure they are available. Anyway it actually was a blessing in disguise. We ended up booking a harbor cruise for the same night through the Classic Harbor Line on the Schooner America 2.0. It was such a smaller crowd size (65-ish compared to the 500-ish capacity of Circle line) and came with 3 complimentary beverages. Being on a sail boat instead of a ferry was a cool experience. So, thank you Circle Line for cancelling our purchased tickets and boarding passes. I'm sure you're a fine company and provide a typical tourist experience. If you want something more elevated check out Classic Harbor Line. 2 Stars since when you cancelled on us it worked out for the better.

Patricia Jensen

Very impressed with the cruise. Joe (our tour guide) was fantastic. Even though we were dealing with high tides form the hurricane, our Captain managed to get us around the whole island. This history was fantastic and the views were wonderful. This was my first visit to the city, and I will be back! Thank you for such a memorable adventure.

The Ticket agents are complete fraudsters. They tell you something and company delivers something completely different on the tour. They call it express tour to Liberty but you have to wait for over 1 Hour for the boat in an uncovered area, be sure that the weather gods are favoring you. They claimed they are selling tickets at lower price. however the price is same on internet. Would have rated zero stars if that was possible.

Phan Reed

Circle line tour was a great simple tour. Nothing that took it to the next level, but nice just the same. Close to Gotham Market.

marek

We bought tickets whilst walking in the area from a vendor so we made sure we got ti the pier in good time to be one of the first to get on only to be told as we were about to board that we had to exchange our ticket for boarding passes at the kiosk so from being 10th in the queue we were 200th ... very annoying to say the least but this was the only negative as the cruise itself was very relaxing and the commentary was not only informative but very humorous, you take in the Manhattan coast, Staten island, Liberty island , Governors Island and go under the Brooklyn bridge. Very enjoyable experience and no hesitation in recommending.

Keith Pixton

Amazing tour! Saw much more than I could've imagined. The guide was great and funny. Very relaxing.

Dave Cheney

The tour itself was awesome! However we heard virtually nothing from the speakers on the boat. We were left to our own devices to figure out what they were saying. We were at the stern just a few feet from the overhead speakers and still could not understand 75% of what was said. Please either put additional speakers on your boats or make them easier to hear.

Ryan Johns

Me and my girlfriend went on the 90-minute Landmarks cruise and it was absolutely amazing! The live tour guide was great and he kept us interested the whole ride! I highly recommend this company, they are worth the money

It was a really good experience for me, I had booked for the evening cruise but I had some other plans for that time being. I went to the counter in the morning just out of curiosity and asked about it being possible for me to take morning one rather than the one in the evening and guess what? They said yes. The super friendly staff helped me about the process without any extra charges. It's one of the best cruises I went so far. But it was an expected tour and I would recommend again to all the tourists visiting New York City to go for a harbour tour once and get great pictures for their Instagram posts. I have uploaded some of my pictures so you get a slight idea how your picture gallery would look of you do take the harbor tour.

Joy Gaffney

Great tour here. Guide Joe absolutely full of knowledge. We had fantastic weather on our trip and great visibility.

Emily Foster

We did the harbour Lights cruise which started at 7pm and lasted about 2 hours. The service to get through security and onto the boat was excellent but when we went to buy drinks I've never known two women work so slow. There was clearly a long line and they were ambling about as though there was no one there. As it was midsummer it wasn't dark when we set off but we got to see the city and the statue of liberty through a beautiful sunset which was just as good. It was dark by the time we returned to the pier so we still got to see the New York skyline all lit up. The tour guide was knowledgeable and funny and gave a lovely commentary as we went along the Hudson. Overall I would say it's well worth the price as you get to see the city while sitting down in the air conditioning and from a point of view you wouldn't normally see.

RTM

Fantastic! If you love this city, do this. We had perfect weather. Buy tix on like, lady tried to charge me $35 @ gate, go online and get them for $15

We took the Harbor lights cruise. Really good cruise to get good views of the City after dark. Overall a good experience. Minor pain points: Wait time to enter the cruise, uncomfortable seating, not worth it if you have a toddler, the ticket costs about $30 for kids above 3 years.

Confusing pricing when using a City Pass had to pay extra because we did a city lights tour, very confusing. Guys at ticket window were rude and ot very helpful. But the guy who did our tour was wonderful. We loved all his city anecdotes. Beautiful sights. Definitely recommend doing the city lights evening tour. Absolutley beautiful!

Ali Fisher

A nice boat ride on the East River with beautiful views of the bridges and Statue of Liberty.

Niecey Cole

Service was awful. Ran out of stuff 20 minutes after we got on. Beer was so warm. Don’t eat the pretzels you will break your teeth. People were nice but products are the worst. Need a better management team. Nothing was working properly. It was a mess. The whole team needs to be replaced

Loved it! What an awesome experience it was. Amazing. I took the 'Landmarks cruise'. Guide was super cool and they have snacks on board which is not that expensive. I could see Manhattan especially statue of liberty, world trade center, empire state building, brooklyn bridge, UN headquarters etc. to name a few. I will give five stars.

Amazing, fun experience, beautiful scenery. Great for family, friends or dates. Captain was kind and historically informative. Would go again. Relaxing, enjoyable, pleasant, and smooth. Circle line sunset tour simply the best to see the real New York from the Hudson and to see the Statue of Liberty up close from the boat . Ellis island and much much more . Pay for an upgrade get top deck if space available. Upgraded my girlfriend and I well worth it. Tour Guide that talks about the viberant history of New York your the best sir sorry didn't get your name. Pure class and style thank you so much

After booking our cruise I became very nervous because I stumbled upon some very poor reviews. I emailed Robert (found his email in some reviews) and he replied within an hour that changes had been made to address some shortcomings in the past. I am so thrilled we booked the 4th of July cruise. We did arrive early and checking was a breeze. The staff on the pier were incredibly friendly and helpful. Once we boarded the boat we were told not to worry if we didn’t get an outside seat as all the chairs would be removed so everyone could be on the deck for the fireworks. We had a wonderful pass by the Statue of Liberty and then went to find our spot among the masses of boats. Truly finding and securing a spot seemed like a game of chicken with boats sneaking in trying to get a better view. I do wish the boat could have been closer to the bridge, but with all the boats and coast guard regulations I understand the safety of the passengers is most important. The food was good and didn’t run out. Plenty of water for the kids and a few glasses of wine for me. Seeing the fireworks in the water with the city in the background is something we will never forget. The ride concluded with “New York, New York” with everyone singing and dancing. Thanks for a great cruise!

Christian Voigt

Unfriendly staff and kid that was free at first then cost 26 USD. Can't be recommended

Andy Woods

A great trip, well worth a visit. Id recommend that you book in advance as the sunset cruise gets very busy and crowded. The boat set off on time and Andy the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny , having plenty to say as everything passed by.After the turnaround point it started to get dark and so you saw all the landmarks in a different perspective (all lit up) which was a welcome bonus. 10 out of ten.

Spencer Israel

Very informational. Did one hour tour so did not eat up a whole day. And was able to take great photos. I personally found it hard to see exactly what the guide was talking about as he walked around so much. Yes I could have walked around as well but with my nephew made that hard. I would do it again or maybe longer tour next time. Ps also got some vitamin d.

Good experience

Beautiful views, the second level is uncovered, but the bottom level is air-conditioned. Stops running before 7pm, so be aware if you're hoping for nighttime views. Overall, excellent, extremely efficient access to some of the best parts of New York City!

Meeta Chopra

A must do boat cruise to see statue of liberty... beautiful experience, can click good pictures and enjoy sunset.

Chihiro Ikezi

DO NOT BUY the package tix w other sights. They make u pick up other tix all the way on west side and 40th. TOTAL SCAM to make it inconvenient so u don’t use other tix. RIDICULOUS!!!!

David Meacham

Guest should not talk so loud you can not here the tour guide's great narrative. Great view of Statue of liberty. Very pleasant staff. Go priemum, worth it.

Christopher Addeo

We did the two-and-a-half-hour cruise around Manhattan. Trip was good, a smidge too long for little ones but good and not much Circle Line could do about that. Snacks and drinks on the boat are expensive but that too is to be expected. overall you had some really great views of downtown Manhattan and the statue of liberty as well as the Brooklyn bridge. Those were the highlights for me. As with any other trip with many tourists people can be annoying and rude. Would be nice if a circle line more strongly enforced their own policies for more crowd control. I would recommend this tour if you are OK with a 2.5 hour trip. We went on a nice day, it was beautiful.

This was a great way to take in the sights and find out more about New York. Unfortunately it was very hot on the day we decided to take the tour, it was cool enough while we were moving, but once you pass Yankee stadium, everyone just moved to the lower deck. The tour guide was fantastic, and made it more enjoyable. I would recommend this to anyone, but if it's too hot to remain comfortable in direct sunlight, I would suggest to wait for a cooler day.

Would have got 5 stars but the guys on the gates have bad attitudes. Wouldn't let us stand undercover in the rain for 8 min as we was too early. Apart from that the cruise itself was brilliant and informative too. Got some excellent pictures.

We took the 2.5 hour around Manhattan tour. Great tour. Dave was excellent. Boat left at 1:31 with about 300 people and arrived at the exactly advertised 4:PM with the same number of passengers. History, insight and entertainment - who could ask for more.

Kushal Shah

Fantastic 2 hour tour on an open-top boat. Not much waiting in line. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great views of NYC, Jersey City, and Statue of Liberty. Awesome night view of the city. Relaxing tour. One thing to remember is to bring a sweater if you are going on the evening cruise as it gets chilly by the end.

Jennifer Miller

Going to New York, it is imperative to take the Circle Line tour. Aside from seeing the iconic bridges and skyline of New York, the best is seeing the Statue of Liberty. And the guide is really nice, taking pictures of passengers for them, with the Statue of Liberty in the background. It is a really fantastic tour.

T Price

The landmark cruise was amazing. Get to the ticket booth one hour before departure, and boarding begins 45 mins before. There were already 30 people in line by this time, so earlier the better. You will get your cruise pic taken (you can buy after cruise) and will have your pick of the best seats (air-conditioning or seats near the sides of the vessel). The premier seating may already be sold out so order ahead of time, they get the back seats under an awning. If you wind up getting on board closer to departure you can take whatever seat is left or stand. After they leave the dock, the crew opens the front of both levels for you to stand and get great pics. So if your standing those folks normally get to the outside deck first. If your have a bad seat the minute the guide starts pointing out the landmarks half of the ship gets up to see it so you'll be able to snag a better seat. Awesome guide in the yellow shirt has a mic and announces all of the landmarks. The 2.5 hours went so fast. I'm going back again. You can buy light refreshments on board. Security will check your bag before boarding and you may be told to toss out items.

I hate writing negative reviews, I always try to find something positive to say. So, the guide on the bus saved this being a negative review. He was funny, charismatic engaging and put a smile on all our faces. The guys selling the tickets at Knickerbocker hotel stop for the hop on hop off are rude and unprofessional. They openly argued in front of us customers and then argued with the bus staff when they pulled up. I have ridden hop on hop off in many countries. The street staff here were the only ones l have ever had issue with. I did tell them we were unhappy. They seemed uninterested. The bus conductor was the saving grace.

Mona Singleterry

Okay, we purchased from the website, not as an add on for an Express pass, etc. There were a lot of frustrated people in long lines who didn't make it on the boat. That said, the sunset tour was spectacular, worth every dime. If you want to hear the guide, make sure you sit near the front, that's where the speakers seemed to be. Also, by the turn around, everyone in the back has had a couple drinks and it gets very loud. Not difficult to get window seats, as everyone is going back and forth to the outside front deck, no saved seats. Wonderful, memorable cruise.

Konamaneti Sreenivasa Reddy.

I was not knowing the meaning of it until I realized that it really makes a round around the Man, Machine and Manhattan through Hudson River, East River and Harlem River. All along see the beautiful buildings if Manhattan, row houses of New Jersey in East row, downtown of Queens, Green lands of Southwest Manhattan n above all paying through historic and modern Bridges. The long ride on the vessel is unforgettable and not to miss. The journey is pleasant from lower deck or rooftop open deck, Staff is nice and the tour is worth every cent.

John Weber

Wow that's such an awesome time on this cruise for my friend Katie Trimmers birthday. the cruise was so fun we went under three Bridges twice cut see the statue of liberty I'm going up the West side you really gets taken a lot of the views. It was awesome. I would do it again

On a hot summer day plenty of your guides willing to sell tickets. We bought ours online and walked from Grand Central to the downtown line. Our first guide made my out of town family feel like it wasn't worth it. He made it clear he's not a historian or into architecture and just mentioned facts here and there. The tour guide on the way up town was full of knowledge he shared about NYC. So it's just a luck of the draw. If you don't like your tour guide I'd get off and wait for the next bus if you can.

David Pooran

Fun tour. Waiting in line sucks but its worth it and the price isnt too bad either. Good views. David the tour guide was great and funny.

Beautiful few & the tour guide was very knowledgeable . Went on a 3:45pm which wasn't crowded.

Great time seeing the sights of NY Harbor. Was only an hour and wish it could have lasted longer. Will definitely do it again.

A time efficient way to tour the beautiful skyline of Manhattan. However, only recommend to purchase tickets on line where you can read all the details of the tour you purchased, thereby avoiding disappointing surprises promised by those aggressive ticketing agents on the street who will say anything to sell the tickets.

Jonathan Hopewell

Took the 'best of NYC' tour and I would thoroughly recommend. The views are unlike anything wider the city can offer. I'd definitely arrive early if you want a good seat, as the boat goes around Manhattan Island anticlockwise; Views are no worse on the other side of the boat, however you may be fighting to get some good pictures of you're that way inclined. Only negative was the slow service in the canteen area. Given most people were simply buying snacks, this was a bit poor!

Lisa Shirley

I have done Circle Line when my company does their annual boat trip, which is nice, but nothing beats taking a day trip up to Bear Mountain during Oktoberfest. The scenery going up to Bear Mountain is absolutely gorgeous and our tour guide is extremely knowledgeable about NY/NJ and is very entertaining. I paid the premium price which is well worth it. But be forewarned, during the colder months it gets a bit chilly if you are on the upper decks. So it is best to wear a sweater or a heavier jacket. The food and beverages (namely alcohol) is pretty good and service is great! If you go premium you have your food, drinks brought to you and you have your own bathroom. I highly recommend this cruise company and will definitely use them again.

Must do when in NY. Really good way to see the city and hear a lot of stories about history and future of NY. We did a short tour from pier 82 on a regular ship (not power boat) which turned out to be just right for a 10 year old. It was a cloudy day with a bit of rain but that was not a problem - lots of covered deck areas to hide. The ship was 1/4 full on a Saturday morning in July.

Sheraz Khan

Its amazing place. The beauty of city from water looks superb.I ll advice tourists must visit such beautiful views ..

Piyush Jain

What a view of the New York skyline in the twilight in the month of May, definitely one the best experiences we had in New York. Listening to the guide explain about the building, burrows and the bridges. One suggestion, take a jacket or make sure you take the seats inside (which are fun but view is much better outside), learnt it the hard way and couldn't move for most of return journey.

Christopher Brooklyn

Had fun... it was a cruise with a depeche mode dj... it was very good.. just prices for drinks a bit crazy.. staff was cool... clean and nice... and we got to see the bat signal..I tried to leave because I was being called but they would not stop the boat.. dam you joker... If they have a DJ that plays music you like.. go for it.. it is fun

Fun trip to do. Didn't get to go right around the island as we were meant to due to "high tides" which I would have thought was something theyd know about before accepting bookings for a trip they know they cant fulfil. Appreciate the twice past Statue of Liberty for good photo opportunities. The knowledge of the guide was great and he had a wonderful voice but it was so hard to hear him unless sitting directly under a speaker so that was a shame.

R. Rugaard

This was by far the best thing we did on our trip. Tony's (the guides) voice is amazing, and you can really feel his infinite passion about the island. If you have time and haven't done it. It's worth every minute and penny

Christine Siewert

Loved it. Had an awesome tour guide who knew tons about NYC and Manhattan. You could tell how much he loves this place. A proud veteran turned radio DJ who was perfect for this gig. Great views of the city from the water too.

maritsa vatou

The cruise was amazing, everyone was really nice, except the guy who is taking photos before you enter the boat. He was very rude to me, probably because I was solo, and didn't want my photo taken. Nevertheless, it's an experience that shouldn't be missed. I did the 3-hour cruise.

James Campbell

The sunset cruise was great, Andy was one of the best tour guides I've ever had. Informative and legitimately funny. Views were great. Would book them for another tour.

Jack Lord

Expect crowds and a scramble for seating but the cruise provides a fantastic perspective of NYC accompanied by some informative commentary, though it was muffled where we were seated. Beware the mixed drink prices are exorbitant! $16 for a G&T versus a $9 beer.

Great Statue of Liberty experience! Clean boat, nice accommodations, friendly staff, great tour commentary! Loved it!!

This is the second time I did a Circle Line cruise. I'm from upstate New York. This past Saturday, August 10, I took my daughter and a family member who was visiting from Germany on the Best of NY Cruise (2 1/2 hours). The cruise itself was wonderful! Great narration and wonderful cruise. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 Star rating is because of the horrendous food service. I stood in line for over 25 minutes to get water and a soda. And there were only about 12 people in front of me. I missed a lot of that cruise because I was standing in line. They should consider getting a soda machine so people just wanting a drink don't have to wait in line for that long. Would cut down on wait times for everyone.

Amazing views of all parts of the city. Incredibly knowledgeable tour guide. 2 and 1/2 hours is way way way too long. Was there in over a hundred degree heat. Found plenty of ways to keep cool in the shade, indoors, and with cool drinks on board

Melody Packard

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and humorous, my friends and I had a good time! I had some trouble taking decent photographs since I was seated inside the cabin; the outdoor seating was all taken and bow was stuffed full of people filming the entire trip with selfie sticks! The interior lighting was quite bright and being reflected in the windows (see my photos in review). If the interior lighting was dimmer, I could have gotten some pics without lights or dirty window glass marring the image. I suspect there might be some safety issues if the cabin is too dark, and overall I still enjoyed the sights and history. It's more about the experience than taking photos of course!

Eric Yoon

Good way to see New York without the walking. The tour guide provides interesting facts and history about the city. It's kinda hard to hear the tour guide over the speakers but overall a great experience.

Jon Mullin

A great way of seeing the sights.

Kenoshia Middleton

Rainy day but rain or Sunshine we enjoyed the tour. Very informative tour guide & great views of the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island. Friendly staff & reasonable price food. A must for tourist or your average New Yorker. Inexpensive too. Check it out.

Very nice trip. Lots of nice views. The guide, however was a bit too smart, which made it a little difficult for foreigners to understand.

Ram Mohan Reddy

The Beast Ride is simply amazing/thrilling/joyous. A must in NYC. The Ride goes near to Statue of Liberty

Michael Stein

We took the cruise up to Bear Mtn. State Park. Had a great time. Went mid October. Dress in layers as the temperature can greatly vary. Good service. Friendly service.

• JayD3vo •

Super informative and the ride was nice! It’s super hot though just so you know however, there was indoor viewing which was good. I was very happy with how the tour guy / girl didn’t talk too much and just let us observe. I even got too see the Statue of Liberty , isn’t it awesome???

Great time on the Hudson river. Our tour guide (Chris) was really passionate and friendly. Lots of stories were told and made this cruise more special than just going to

Michele Devine

This cruise was awesome- we got right up in front of the Statue of Liberty. Our guide David was funny and informative- he made the cruise!

Caroline Layton

Really enjoyed the harbour lights evening cruise. Be aware though it gets very busy. If you want a decent seat I would get there about an hour early. Don't bother paying for premium seats. They are undercover and there are better seats on the boat. It does get really cramped up top but it's where the best views are. The cruise is leisurely and informative. As the sun sets it gets more and more beautiful. Lovely way to see the bridges and the Manhattan skyline. Recommended

Alan Varghese

Brilliant guide and awesome views. A must for every New Yorker and tourist. Ticket prices are decent but food on board is a bit expensive. Harbor lights cruise is especially great. Carrying a light jacket is recommended as it can get quite windy in the river. Getting on early ( 30-45 minutes before leaving) is important to ensure you get the good seats. The cruise is around 2+ hours in itself.

Susan Anderson

One of our favorite touristy things we did while visiting NYC! Good weather made it better, of course. We took the 2-1/2 hour cruise all the way around Manhattan. A nice way to see a lot of the landmarks while resting our feet.

Vincenzo Prestera

Thanks to New York City Explorer Pass I taken a cruise managed by this company during August 2019. The cruise has been really exciting cause we have seen all NYC skyline from the sea. The board staff is friendly and the guide is very pleasant. I suggest this company cruises if you wish see Manhattan by boat. Prices not expensive (as the average) and many different tour cruises available. If you have bought New York City Explorer pass you have to pick up your tickets from box office located just close to Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum area.

Sarah Rogerson

Worth the money. It was so nice to see New York from the outside rather than in. Even if you are not sat at the top you can still get really good photos at the bottom. Wished we spent more time round the statue of liberty. Definitely recommend doing the 2.5 hour one.

Erik Zaadi

Excellent tour guide, clean facilities and friendly staff

Amazing cruise! Its the best way to see NY, you get to see everything in one trip. Boats were extremely nice and the staff was great.

Good way to see Manhattan skyline. Tony the guide was very informative (but slightly weird!). Don't buy the food onboard - over priced and not that tasty

Lonely Traveler

The Best!... Funniest tour guide/announcer I've heard, and he worked that day'. Cruised past her majesty, queen elizabeth?... went under the brooklyn bridge, saw the New York skyline, had my 1st new york pizza on board. Glad I didn't have to swim, it was cold that day.

Gary H

This really was a great experience. The tour takes in all of the sights and the views are fantastic. The boat has a bar so you can sit on deck and enjoy a beer too. The guide provides a superb commentary over the PA which isn't too loud and compliments the sights perfectly. We took the shorter cruise but was the perfect amount of time and one of the best experiences of our stay

Ryan Cola

Went on this boat yesterday. Did the Wine & Cheese Pairing in NYC. Had a great time. The staff was very nice and the views were amazing. Will return for sure.

Celo's Vision Travel Photography

Nice attraction, one can see the lovely island and its informative. I enjoyed the tour, despite to some old grampy folks that were super negative about everything.

Andrey Boggard

This was one of the amazing attractions we've experienced while being in NY. Thought we are going to be late, since you need to be there in advance. We arrived at 3:05 for a 3:30 Landmark cruise and had our C3 tickets already. Paid additionally $5 for each ticket, since with C3 it's a requirement. Both ticket booths had very short lines and we were able to get on a cruise in no time. Enjoyed every moment of it!!! The voice of the guided tour recording was unclear due to noise of the motor, but we didn't really care. Those magnificent views took our breath away - right away :) and we spend so much time outside on a deck making pictures :) along with many other people who would not give their cameras/phones a rest :) If you are in NY and really looking for best attraction - give this one a "must" visit. Your time will be spend at its best and you and your family will have great memories!!!!

William Bebout

Must do! This cruise was one of the first things we did, and it was a phenomenal experience! It circles around the entire island (weather permitting; on our tour, the high tide meant we couldn't actually go all around the island because the boat couldn't fit under the bridge!), allowing you to see the Manhattan skyline from every side (as well as Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty). Our tour guide was also excellent, dropping jokes in between his anecdotes and living history lessons of New York, pointing out this section or that and how it got to be that way. Our friend recommended getting the premium seating, which was well worth it (still had a great view and the seats were more comfortable for the 2+ hour cruise). For the fresh tourist or anyone who wants to revisit the skyline at a leisurely but thorough pace, definitely take the Circe Line Complete cruise!

Tom Morrissey

I have experienced this cruise before and absolutely loved it! Not so much this time... The rainy weather aside, (mother nature will do what she wants), this cruise was a big let down. The seats were comfortable enough. The snack bar was adequate. We left and returned exactly on time. Unfortunately, Tom, the tour guide was underwhelming at best and rude and politically opinionated throughout the cruise. You should be able to understand ever word spoken by a spokesperson; Tom mumbled, unless he was making some personal socio-political point. On a tour of NYC's landmarks, I don't think that referencing horrible bombing events in Sri Lanka is appropriate. I get it that Tom doesn't speak 6 languages, neither do I. The difference is that I don't talk to large groups of folks who may not speak English as if that is somehow a shortcoming. There are better ways to direct folks to your tour guide app. As an aside ... Most folks visiting here from abroad speak several languages... English included. Lastly, I get the whole vip seating/ privilege thing but, there are cultures around the world where lines, ques, and cordoned off areas are merely suggestions...it is a cultural thing. Calling out one of your paying guests for stepping into the "vip" area and incorporating the call-out into your tour guide patter by publicly making fun of her was uncalled for and simply rude! Tom made an assignment of himself and The Circle Line. #lasttrip

Christie Kane

Very cool experience! Would definitely recommend the Best of NYC tour. Takes you by boat all around Manhattan island. You get to see things that you cant see from land!! Would definitely recommend!! Polite staff and the serve food and drinks.

jason Yun

I am a taxi driver and I have a guest today and I came down to this place but I did not know that this place should not be a guest because there is no sign that there is not a guest if you do not get there and there is no sign that the taxi goes wherever the guest goes down, I gave this fine ticket to me. But the problem is that someone who looks similar to this guy is going to go, and I'm giving him a fine ticket because he's different in color from this person. It's definitely racial. I do not think that's what this is all about. Silver (African)

Have taken this two times and it gets better each time.....great way to see NYC and if its a nice day it cannot be beat. Staff takes you through all the sites and gives a brief history of what your looking at along with tons of local flavor. Tour is just around 2 hrs and it breezes by. Paid for premier tickets which allows priority boarding and reserved seats with food/drinks server. Priority boarding came in handy as was a very hot day. However, that's where the advantage ended. Waited 45 mins for two bottle of water! Server blamed being the only one working and having to make the food herself. Fine, but they need another server at the beginning of the cruise. Could have got the drinks faster in the long queue! Apart from that, cruise was just ok - the narrator's tone was a bit monotonous at times. If you do this cruise, get standard tickets, get there about an hour early for good seats and bring your own drinks and snacks!

Please know that it's going to take 2 hours for the entire trip! Do not forget that! Unless you're totally sure of what you're getting into please do not. The only plus point about such a long trip is you get to see a totally different view of Manhattan Riverside.

Nice tour round the Hudson river, specially by night. It would be nice to be a little bit more close to the Statue of Liberty but I am sure you will enjoy it. Try to do the Intrepid visit and the cruise the same day, are next one to the other.

Beautiful views of New York skyline.

Was gifted this cruise and we did the 1.5 hour city landmark cruise. Our guide Andy was so nice and he had a lot of good information to share about the various landmarks of NYC. There is a food station and bar but they are quite expensive. Not too many options available either. And they don’t let you bring your own food. It was a great tour, highly recommend to anyone looking to cover the important landmarks of the city from the rivers. Goes pretty close to the Statue of Liberty as well.

Tor Flores

Worth EVERY penny if you’re in NYC for the first time, I highly recommend this trip. Preferably the 2.5 hour tour that takes you around Manhattan. Our tour guide made the trip with his theatrical presentation of information at every site. He lived in the city for 25 years, and knew so much information, every history buffs dream! From the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, and scenic views of the side of the island. We went in early September, and the weather was amazing for the top deck, which also allowed for good pictures. I can see how the weather can make or break this experience. So, I recommend looking into what the weather before you book your trip. You can buy the tickets online or at the location. Arrive early because each tour is pretty stacked.

Was really exciting, tour was informative. Did the landmark cruise. My advice sit all the way in the back left hand side of the boat. That corner seat is really good. You'll see everything going and returning

Imogen Fox

Circle line was out of this world. They were absolutely incredible when it came to supporting my wheelchair using partner. The trip was two hours and felt like brilliant value for money. We did the twilight cruise and I couldn't recomend it more

Lori Scinto

I really enjoyed taking the one hour Liberty cruise with my niece. We are both Native New Yorkers but we still learned a lot of history about the Manhattan and New Jersey skylines. Chris did a great job of narrating the journey and the weather was perfect for the trip. I highly recommend taking a Circle Line Cruise. Well worth the time and money. Speaking of which, we got a 23% discount on the cruise by signing up for Circle Line email and buying directly from their website. An added bonus!

We booked a last minute 2 hour tour for my daughters 8th birthday and she had a great time. I was nervous because it was my first time on a boat. This wasn’t as bad as my mind made it out to be. Such a wonderful experience. This was my first time getting to see the Statue of Liberty, in person, so it was very exciting. The tour guide was fabulous. So knowledgeable & highly entertaining. If you buy a New York City pass, please note that you are not going in the 2.5 hr Best of New York cruise. You have to pay extra. Don't buy food or coffee from the cruises cafe. The best of New York boat ride gave us amazing views of all over Manhattan. We got the best views of the Statue of Liberty from our trip aboard the boat! The big negative, was the concession pricing on the boat... it was more expensive than Yankees stadium for basic items which is ridiculous. Not to mention the concession was horribly understaffed the entire time we were out so it took 30-40 minutes to get a simple drink.

This is THE BEST way to see NY, understand the layout, neighborhoods and history of the island. Highly recommend the BEST OF NYC cruise. I booked this as my first stop on my first visit to NY. I'm so glad I did! The cruise is about 2.5 hours and makes an entire circle around the island. The best place to sit is on the back right side (walking to the back, on your right). The narrator is very informative and points out all of the different neighbhorhoods throughout Manhattan as well as current and past information. During this trip you get to see the Statue of Liberty, The Brooklyn Bridge and so much more. After the tour I realized that West Village would be just my vibe as far as architecture and neighborhood (laid back) which is where I spent the rest of my time on Manhattan. Highly recommend.

Awesome experience, very informative. Went on the 2.5 hour cruise, well worth the time. Food not so much. Overall a great experience. The only downfall is on the ticket it said it was gonna stop at the Statue of Liberty but it did not, but was close enough for a great photo op.
