REVIEWS OF Hampton Beach State Park IN New Hampshire

Rob Rainville

Love this place. Have been coming for years. Love the shops along the boardwalk, and the restaurants. Enjoy many of beach concerts and the arcade games. Also love the ice cold ocean water and walking the beach at night.

iain fletcher

Very reasonable rates. Good accomadation. Friendly and helpful staff. Two nice restaurants. Swimming pool even though it is right across the road from the beach Open year round

Margaret Honan

Parking can be tough unless you stay at one of the local properties. The beach itself is huge with soft sand. Public restrooms were close by and clean. Further to one end of the beach you'll find a very rocky area but it's great to explore. If you have kids they'll enjoy it. Parallel to the beach is a wide boardwalk where you can walk, run, bike, etc. And across the street are many shops, restaurants, bars, a casino etc. Great night life. Great for people watching. Fun area for couples, families, young and old.

Diane Vega

Clean, beautiful fine sand, air quality nice. Lots of people but did not feel crowded. Facilities clean, bandstand had band playing in the evening, a good band. Very nice atmosphere and fun shopping stores that had nice quality souveniers and clothes and jewelry

Anna Cooper

I loved the Beach. The Hotel was great. This was my second trip & I am already planning my third trip. Great place for vacation

Rebecka Bombard

Convenient parking, and clean restrooms. An absolutely beautiful beach. (The red seaweed was unusual and cause by a southern storm).

Elizabeth Vanover

Really nice beach. Plenty of room for people even at high tide. Nice clean bathrooms, restaurants, and shops right at the beach. It's a great beach for walking especially at low tide at roughly 1.5 miles from end to end. There is limited parking directly in front of the beach for $2 per hour with plenty of pay lots within a short walk of the beach. The only negative is the one way traffic which at peak hours makes getting around a little difficult. Getting to the beach on holiday weekends especially can take hours unless you get there very early.

Ann Hagan

What an awesome day! The water was cold and the beach was crowded but it was beautiful! Lots of shops all along the beach to browse. Especially liked the water slides and the upper deck dining next store. Very much enjoyed my visit here!

Magnum Pi

Hampton Beach is the place to be in the summer. It beautiful ocean, scenery, warm sand great clean water, well maintained by the Hampton parks and rec Dept. Also the Hampton Police department does a great job, patrolling this Haven of tourist. It's not easy, I give them credit it's under control. The shops are Great

Sarah Galle

This beach is just way too busy for my liking. It's difficult to enjoy a peaceful moment at the ocean when teenage boys are hollering and blasting their music loudly behind you. If you can find a less packed area it is a well maintained beach, lots of paid parking spots, food and tourist shops along the boardwalk, even an arcade, but if you're going for a restful place, keep driving. (I caught a moment when no one was running in front of me, but it was rare) grabbing a sand castle competition this weekend apparently an annual thing, if you like hustle and bustle at the beach, this is your place.

Ivan Cruz

Love this beach......water is too cold tho.....one of a kind boardwalk.

Mike B

Big beach. Pretty clean. Big surf. Great people watching. Cold water. Great for the family. There it is. My review.

Bob LaBrie

A lot of people but a lot to do had a great time. a lot of the great food

Courtney touchette

Hampton used to he my favorite beach but lately its become a cash cow. $30 to park, my favorite breakfast place now opens at 4 and the cost of everything has gone up. It's not even worth it.

rezart mersini

Excellent beach and beach town. The beach was very clean and the waves make it perfect for bodyboarding/boogieboarding...Also, we were surprised that it felt like the Canadian Riviera, there were more Quebec license plates than New Hampshire...we enjoyed it!

Richard Donati

I've been going to Hampton Beach for over 50 years they have redone the whole area and it is very beautiful except I am quite disappointed that at the casino they took out the shooting gallery. I suppose that's a sign of the times pretty darn sad when kids can't go shoot a fake gun at funny targets

joshua hill

My favorite beach. Every year I come for my birthday and have a blast. The waves are phenomenal and the boardwalk is wicked fun

Kendra Hayward

I went when it was super packed, but I kept finding cigarette butts on the beach and little plastic pieces, mind you I smoke but I keep it picked up. It would have been better had people helped to keep the beach clean

Tamica Gifford

Its a great family beach. Nice playground the only thing is i wish people cleaned after themselves. There were cups and water bottles all on the shore line where i was. As for the rest of the beach it was clean and the bathrooms were nice and clean. The outside showers worked well.

Danny Johnson

In my opinion Hampton beach is the best over all beach in the north east. Between things such as the sand sculpture contest other events and the weekly entertainment , "all which are free" and the nightly groomed beach make it an amazing place. Also the food and shopping is great.

Sreejith Gopal

An Awesome Sandy Beach! Parking is a problem when they have events. State Park has free parking but they close at 8 PM. It was a sunny day with some drizzle which made the beach look stunning. Must visit especially during sculpture competition. They even had fireworks at night.

Yash Vasani

It's a beautiful beach, I'd recommend you to plan your trip such that you either see a sunrise or sunset here.

Andrew Sawchuk

Nice beach overall. Although on nice weekends in the summer you need to arrive by like 9am at the absolute latest if you want to get a parking spot, otherwise you'll be stuck circling until someone leaves. One of the better beaches in the area, with lots of sandy space to lounge and a small boardwalk with a bunch of options for food etc. Also a bunch of little beach shops to check out.

Len Smith

This is our third year vacationing at Hampton Beach and it's a great place. Hampton has a long beachfront with a deep beach, not unlike a southern beach (minus the warmer water). The southerly end of the beach is more populated and is near the boardwalk and can get a bit rowdy at times. The northerly end of the beach can also get busy, just not as much. It's better for families. There are free concerts at the bandshell and fireworks on Wednesdays.

GODFATHER GMG

Cool place to spend some family time. Good places to eat as well.

Andrea West

Love the way the metered parking works. I was able to find a better spot after a few hours and use the same ticket. Kudos to you for implementing such a user friendly system.

Carol Remscheid

Fun day at the beach. Large crowd as to be expected. Easy access to bathroom and changing areas. A band was playing. Cute boardwalk shops. Unfortunately my friend got food poisoning from bad garter sauce at a seafood restaurant right across from the beach. :(

Jennifer Appel

I grew up visiting Hampton and the nostalgia never seems to fade. The beach here is beautiful and clean. I personally love cycling or roller skating on route 1 (especially early in the day before any real traffic). The shopping, food, and hotel options continue to get nicer along the beach. The only downside is that parking can be kind of a pain if you come after 9-10:00am on the weekends - so try to arrive early if possible.

Karl Fisher

Hampton is one of the best beaches in New England. Very easy access, parking, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Large sandy beach area along the cold Atlantic ocean.

Angelina Bordeau

Absolutely beautiful! We went for labor day weekend and had the best time. The beach was not to crowded and it was very clean! A bit to cold for swimming though. Other people were, but I'm not that brave. I did stick my feet in though.

K Snyder

Sandy beach with lots of shops & things to do. Be prepared for it to be very crowded & little or pricey parking in the busy summertime months. Far & few disabled spots so if mobility is an issue.. you may want to visit in the off time of September (that's what we do) when it can still be warm enough to enjoy & most shops are still open.

Matthew Foley

Great people watching. Lots to do up here, from mini golf to para-sailing. There's a cheap and cheerful casino if you want to do a little gambling.

Lady_raynacorn

Hampton Beach is beautiful and has many boardwalk places that will keep you busy for hours. It is a great place to bring the family because you go get fro-yo, stop by the arcade, and on one end there are plenty of bars for the adults.

Laurie Behrmann

I had not been to Hampton for many years. Last time I was there was for a late day stroll on the beach and dinner. The sidewalks were full of girls trying to get away with wearing as little clothing as possible and the guys who were oogling them. It was almost impossible to actually walk down the sidewalk. It was not a pleasant experience. So, when we recently went on one of the hottest Saturdays of the summer I was pleasantly surprised. The beach was crowded but to be expected given the temperature. We still found a spot easily even though it was back a bit from the water. The beach was clean, the water was clear - freezing, just like I remembered, but no seaweed. Some good waves to jump in. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Bathrooms were clean. Really amazing considering the crowd that was there that day. After the beach we had a some great fried clams and walked and looked in the shops. The atmosphere seemed very different and more family friendly like it was when my kids were younger. Spent some time in the arcade. I was really surprised at what a great area it is again. Will definitely go back.

Rick Breault

Best beach ever, clean, safe, very well patroled.lots of things to do and places to stay. Love it.

Amanda Walsh

Absolutely beautiful. Came here for the seafood festival. Had such a great time. The boardwalk is lovely. Cute little shops and awesome places to eat and drink!

Kerry Alexander

Clean, Beautiful, safe, family kind of beach to go to. Bathrooms, well supplied, also cleaned, and well maintained. Very nice for all ages with natural life of crabs, snails, small rock pool areas, sea life , children are facinated by this. A beautiful New England coast line, with seafood restaurants, ice cream stands, and many shops closer to the board walk. Game rooms, for all ages, the half shell, has many concerts. Fireworks at night. It's a great place to go. Charter boat rides, deep sea fishing, whale watching, the different tours by boat to the isle of shoals. On this entire New Hampshire coast line, families can find so much to do, in a fun ,safe, clean environment. Great place to vacation, many hotels, and camping, or a great place for day trips. I've grown up here all of my Life, and highly recommend this beautiful New Hampshire coast line, and it's many beaches, and it's entertainment and activities for all ages

V Y Soni

I loved it! The beach was clean and lively. There are public restrooms and showers within reach. There are decent restaurants nearby for snacks and meals.

Deborah Enzo's Mom

Spent an afternoon at this beach. Beach was nice and clean and the water was clean and refreshing! The beach is wide and long, and the boardwalk is awesome. Meter parking was convenient and reasonable $2 per hour at the beach. Nice summertime concert in the evening. Sand sculpture. Nice big playground for the little ones. Friendly people. Great restaurants.

Nahum Dimond

Love this Beach have for years. I give 3 stars just because the drug epidemic has taken a big toll on the beach its self. I found about 7-10 dirty syringes in the sand. The boardwalk is still amazing a lot of great souvenirs and clothes and of course the useual accessories etc. Beach needs to be cleaned of the possibly disease infested syringes. ASAP!

Isabel Rosario

Omg this is such a great beach! Clear waters, barely any seaweed or crabs in the water! It's so great!

Joe Roy

I love making the drive to see the sandcastles with my wife or going to a concert near by. It may not be the best beach in the world but it's the only beach we have (New Hampshire). Public restrooms, arcades, parking, etc.

Joseph Roberts

Love this place. All kinds of great food up and down the boardwalk lots of people watching. Really fun place to be.

Samantha Michalides

I always come here with my kids rather than the strip area. There is no worry about parking and it is always clean. Bathrooms and showers are near by as well

ted spender

I love it here, the beach is so clean, all the shops you can visit, all the eaterys you can stop by and get a bite, all the ice cream shops...and also love the atmosphere that is here! My family always has a great time when we visit here, the bath houses are clean, the trash cans are well maintained, there never is trash hanging out of the barrels or all over the place. Very well maintained, the whole park in general. It is a good time here and I would definitely recommend trying to get here before the summer is over, you wont regret it.

Ginger Khoyi

Nice standard beach. It does have a convenient store, tables, seating, and bathrooms/washrooms by the parking lot. The beach is often crowded and there are lots of waves to play in. It's not terribly calm so little kids may have trouble playing in the water, but overall not a bad place to go with a group of friends.

Diane Potter

Great ocean beach. Sometimes expensive to park but totally worth it. Nice bathrooms. Lots of little places to eat and shop. I wish people would not litter and take better care of the beach itself throughout the day. Family friendly lots of lifeguards. At either end of the beach there are rocks and little areas to find crabs and beach animals. Fun way to spend the day.

Dale Emily Frazier

Clean beach, clean bathrooms and very family friendly. I come here with my daughters many times each summer! Carry in, carry out and no hassle parking. 15 pays the whole day and you're still in walking distance to the boardwalk.

Elizabeth Solley

The beach is large, which helps because it is crowded. The sand is pretty good, although there is some trash on the beach. The lifeguards are good. The parking situation by the beach is a little crazy. The waves are actually pretty good for boogie boarding!

Tom Parks

Family friendly ! At night you may want to take younger kids home, lots of bars but great during the day

Dean Brewer

Fun in the Sun a great place for the family but not my favorite beach could be cleaner.

Stephanie Masten

Beautiful beach. Great food. Great shops. Tons of entertainment! However most things are not open during the winter season most things don't open until halfway into spring.

Teresa Sanders

Lots to do. Great beaches, clean and serene. I love the smell of salt air.

Joe Maffattone

The beaches, accomodations and boardwalk make Hampton a fun place to spend an afternoon. The small town is making strides to attract visitors by hosting many events and free live music during summer evenings.

Nicolas Fernandez

It's a good beach. The water is cold but that's pretty much every beach in new England. There's a lot of stores around which is nice, they are a little overprice. Finding parking can be a problem especially if you come around noon so be prepared to pay between 20 to 40 dollars, although the price goes down the later you go. Overall it's probably one of the better beaches in new England, just wish the water wasn't so cold up here.

David pincince

Absolutely love Hampton Beach State Park! When the water is warmer in August one if my favorite annual memories is riding the waves there with the kids at high tide (side note, if it is not "August", the water temps will be low which can present a barrier to some enjoying the water and swimming). The restroom facilities can be a bit of a walk, but are quite good considering the usage rate. The walk down the beach and visit to the strip is also a treat to grab some fried dough, play some arcade games, and people watch.

Jeff D

Omg fabulous beach. So clean. Nice place

Joana ferreira

Such a pretty beach! Lost of parking and nice waves. You can spend the whole day here

Chris Patey

A few years back the state upgraded the facilities and it's much nicer than when I was a kid. It's also much more crowded than it used to be and parking is kinda a pain sometimes during the busy hours. It's a good Sandy Beach but get there early.

Connie Ryan

Beautiful, clean, fun, relaxing, and wonderful staff! We had a wonderful time camping at this campground! Close to everything, ocean view, perfect summer vacation!!

Kathy Prince

I absolutely love this beach! It's very clean and cheap to get into! Great bathrooms, showers, picnic tables and convenient store! Great family beach! I have been coming here for many years now and I highly recommend this beautiful beach to everyone!!!!

Douglas Flakes

Had a great time. Will be waiting and anticipating next year!

Jo Raymond

Much much cleaner than past years. The boardwalk and shops have been revitalized and have a more modern appeal.

cassaundra molnar

The remodeling of the boardwalk on the actual beach is very scenic the restrooms for the family was clean and nice however I am handicapped and I did not see any electric mobility chair handicapped restrooms so that was a bit of a challenge they need to make that a priority to make it easily accessible for those like myself and others that are in similar ways wheelchairs ect. Same with the handicapped parking there is a handful of parking for the handicap from the very start of the parking for the beach to the very end and that is unexceptiable

Susan Casaburri

One of the best Atlantic Ocean beaches in the Northeast. Lucked out and found beach side parking near restrooms & beach ramp! Staff does a great job keeping restrooms, boardwalk and beach clean.

Darvi Rosenberg

The end of summer. Nice to go for a walk. The crowds are gone. Still nice to breathe salt air

Linda Prescott

I just love the atmosphere of the ocean and I had a lot of fun with my friend Mark. I fell in the water and dragged him down with me. Typical Linda move...I couldn't stop laughing just a really beautiful day for me!!! Mark is now the love of my life and soulmate forever this day at Hampton beach I realized I was in love with Mark!!❤

Lisa M

Hampton Beach is a nice beach and generally clean most of the time! The sand is soft and even has a purple hue due to the natural amethyst in the area. The seagulls will beg for your food, but are generally not a problem. My BFF found a painted rock on our visit today and was super stoked and I enjoyed boardwalk food after our stroll down the beach collecting shells!

Alonzo Mosely

Excellent family beach. Flat sand and plenty of room to spread out weekdays. Easy parking and easy access to restrooms.

Carrie Haley

Absolutely love it! Beautiful scenery. Everything was so clean and the people were so nice

Tishawnie Phillips

My family went on a 98 degree day and the water was cold but it was the perfect temperature to contrast the heat. The view was beautiful and there were alot of places to eat and buy souvenirs. It was a lot of fun.

Jack Smith

Great food, lots of shops. Really lovely and long Beach that's perfect for any beach activities. The waves aren't huge, but they can get pretty big some days (white capping over my head so at least 7 feet from the ocean floor)

Isabelle C

What to say more about a beach. Clean, everyone having fun. No.lost and found place other than lifeguards and first aid place. They do receive wallets or phone es people lost. We had lost a chair bag. Kids playground is awesome.

Philip Welch

Hampton Beach is our main go to beach!! Its a good size beach with a decent Boardwalk with shops, restaurants and arcades. There is even a large water slide near the Casino Ballroom! The police keep things orderly and safe without being overly obtrusive. If you check the website you can see a schedule of outdoor concerts in the bandshell. The Casino Ballroom also has Concerts as well, but tickets must be purchased for that. There are public restrooms. The beach is cleaned every day, occasionally you have some people that are slobs but 99% of the people going here have enough sense to pick up after themselves. Definitely worth a visit whether for just the day or longer. Don't forget to check out the Seafood Festival in September!!! Enjoy!!!

joe st. germain

Hampton is one of the most iconic new england beach but its a always a bit crowded. If you like the crowds and can handle the traffic its a great place to visit. Early or late season weekdays are great. Clean facility open in the warm months.

kathy maki

Best place at Hampton Beach to look through the rocks and find sand dollars. There are two big sets of rocks at Hampton Beach one at the beginning which is the state park and one way up at the end. You can find plenty of crabs at the one way up at the end but if you're looking for sand dollars you need to go to the State Park. Whenever I stay up at Hampton Beach I always make it a point to walk the ocean all the way down to the state park I love the sand dunes there, the grass and just the Ambiance. People are so friendly there and the life guards are awesome.

Syed Shah

I live about 20 mins away and goes there whenever i get a chance or feel like it. You won't be disappointed.

Angelia Mayo

Beautiful scenery. Lots of quaint places to eat and drink with many little shops with a large variety of goods.. A little pricey though..

Karen P

I've been vacationing at Hampton since I was a baby. The beach is nice. There's a playground for kids, movie night on the beach, arcades. Fireworks every Wed nite. There's a stage for live music, talent shows etc. There are nice restaurants and places to stay as well as (just like any other place) sketchy ones.

Larry Edison

This is a very nice beach that is easy to get to. You can go out on the breakwater but be careful, there are barnacles on the rocks that can cut you. You can get cut with a very lite touch of them. They have bathrooms and picnic tables there. In the off season the bathrooms are only open from 8 to 4 and not at all after the last weekend of October.

Chelsea Dupre

The beach was clean && the sand wasn't rocky. The boardwalk had a good selection of stores and restaurants. && the bars had good music playing. There was a fried dough place that was awesome. The Bathrooms at the beach were well kept... parking was well within walking distance, only paid $10 for all day parking.

Twizz Bharat

Absolutely beautiful beach, came here from Boston. And spend a few hours here and it was really nice. The sand was soft and the facilities like the toilets and washing areas were nice too. Sea was great and generally clean (other than seaweed) I have attached a few pictures so you can see what the beach looks like. Highly recommended beach. 5 stars

Hiten L

This is a beautiful beach. The sand is lovely and soft. The beach stretches quite far so great for a stroll or for a swim in the sea. Pick your spot, settle down and watch the hours go by. There are shower facilities and the toilets are nice and clean. There is a good selection of shops on the boardwalk as well as places to eat. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Karthik Gundavarapu

The sand here has some creatures running under your feet. I dont know what they are but I was scared to get in there though everyone was enjoying at the beach. It's very a nice beach during summer and water feels cold. Better be prepared.

Corina Mayo

Second time around was nicer due to the midweek visit and later in the afternoon. The beach was empty therefore we found parking easily, pay by meter. Walked Hampton beach and enjoyed the reasonably priced gift shops along the boardwalk.

Amanda Kenney

One of my favorite places ever to go.. you can go with family friends or just your kids with or without any money.. great things to buy on the board walk bands and bars at night... and also all family and kid fun all day as well..

Priscilla Brito

Lots of things to do. Sections of the beach away from the main drag are quieter and more isolated. Some people litter but the sand is kept mostly clean!

Jonathan Beaty

A great day at the beach. Easy in, easy out. Cute little store with reasonable pricing. No trash cans so bring your own trash bags. I would have given it five stars because we came here because there was supposed to be bigger waves but they were not. Regardless, a nice beach.

Jo-May Ali

Private didn't like the rocks they need to remove them I crushed my hand in the rocks

Candice Erwin

Love to walk on this beach early in the morning when I can get there beautiful

Earl Burlstein

Go early if you want to camp. Book on line. I believe they save some sites for transient campers but its first come first served.great views. Close to everything.

Emily Bergeron

Definitely a great place to get out and do something with your loved ones. Very populated but that's kinda given for any beach. Gorgeous at night with the fireworks and waves

Leann McKinney

Beautiful but crowded. We did discover if you really don't mind walking keep driving down the shore line. It gets less crowded farther down the beach and lots of easy parking. You will have a trek back to the area with all the stores, but the walk is pretty with great views!

Jamie Eichelberger

Even though my girlfriend and I sat in traffic for over an hour trying to get over the bridge to the the music concert shell, to meet up with her daughter in law and little granddaughter. We stayed through the weather storms of rain that had dance in and out with a great performance we finally were able to watch the fireworks. The band that was playing was FANTASTIC! The sand sculptures were eye opening. The little shops were fun to walk in and out. We are blessed to have a family fun atmosphere for all ages so close by.

Scottie D

I really love this area. It's cheap parking, you can stay all day; in the park or walk the strip. It's in a prime spot geographically also, its right next to the front strip but you can walk north to avoid all the hustle and bustle of the south end. They definitely made a good call when deciding to put it there. Strong 5 stars

Bramha's Astra

Nice, clean beach with well developed infrastructure and very close to the road. Public Parking is inadequate & finding a spot Ina private parking area is also a challenge since it attracts lot of crowd on a good day. Space on the beach is also on premium and people sit very close to each other on the beach. Water temps are good for northeast, little or no weed, beach has little or no rocks which is good. Plenty of food options across the street. Overall a good place and must visit. Avoid crowds by going there on weekdays.

Richard B

Hampton Beach was the best place in my childhood each summer back in 60's and 70's. It's only gotten better after coming back after 40 years and seeing all the fun times I'll have with my grandchildren.

Cloudy Imperfections

Hampton beach was absolutely beautiful. There weren't any rocks you would step on, there wasn't any seaweed in the water, and everything you would want to eat is right across the street so everything was extremely convenient. The only thing i ask of you is don't be like the stupid people on the beach who brought food and left it out only for the birds to attack their setup while they were in the water. Its disgusting and makes the beach an awful time for everyone when they start pooping.

Joe Lavallee

Finding fair priced parking can be tough but the beach and facilities them selves are clean and nice. Plenty of food and shops along the boardwalk and great nightlife activities. Good way to spend any nice day walking around and sight seeing. Get there early for affordable parking on the weekends, otherwise $40-$50 seems average.

Eric Wolpert

Hassle-free parking. $15/day during summer. handicap placards/plates are no charge. Arrive early to ensure you get a spot. Bathroom/changing facilities on site. Small convenience store with basic supplies. Pack a lunch in a cooler as it's a long walk to regular food. Great sand and jetty for exploring with kids.

Eddie Montgomery

It's not Newport RI, but it's DEFINITELY an upgrade from Salisbury beach in MA. It's cleaner, nicer and there are certainly more things to do, places to eat and shop than in Salsibury. The little museums and educational centers are a nice experience for the kids and the whale watching experience was a real treat as well. It is a nice way to spend the day.

Steve Wellmann

It's the only oceanfront New Hampshire has to offer. Not bad. Fun area, lots to do

Joe Seluk

Very fun place to camp. Especially if you are able to get a hook up spot. If not the dry camping is still fun. Close to all the action. Good place to stay if you're going to a concert at Club Casino.

William

Lovely beach at the North end. Over flowing with dive shops at the other. The sea is COLD even in August. But it's got everything you need for a day hanging out at the beach.

Ann Delaney

Always plenty of parking. Perfect for families. No rocks. Love the jetty and the cleanliness and the tall reeds and the beauty and tranquility

Kim Bullett

So clean and welcoming. So much to do along the boardwalk. Very beautiful.

megan harrington

Beautiful and nicely maintained beach. Hate that there is not a parking garage seems like they just like to ticket people to get more money from them. Don't visit unless you get parking included!

Henry Morin

Always busy and lots of traffic getting in.. very clean beach.. tons of stores and restaurants.. "Sea catch" has 4 levels if you enjoy dinner and drinks overlooking the beach.. Everything on the menu is delicious.. Huge lobster rolls with fries for under $30... Drinks are always good also.. cheers

Amorina Lee

My favorite place to be. Many greathotels feet away along with food, bars, arcades, shopping and a playground. The beach is well maintained, always clean. I would live here if I could

Ruchir Verma

This is one of the best beaches I've ever visited. It's huge and clean beach with decent crowd. If you're lucky, you'd get street parking else you have to to go for paid parking. Life guards are on duty during day time. You'll see more crowd on weekends. Don't forget your sunscreens.

Rachel M

An easy drive to get there. Parking can be rough, but it’s your fault if you expect ample parking during peak season on a weekend past 10am.

TINA GEE

Great beach to bring the family. Water is incredibly cold but kids don't seem to mind. Oh and pizzeria 339 on the strip is pretty decent too.

Christie 91

Beautiful beach! Amazing boardwalk with close parking, bathroom facilities, lots of restaurants, ice cream & souvenir shops! My only tip would be to get there early because the beach fills up fast!

randall norcross

Took family to visit and had fun here. Nice beach and fun to build sand castles. Water was cold though. Lots of shops and eateries. First try at lobster rolls here. Crowded on weekends but nice scenery

Neeraj Awasthi

Clean and nice..nice marketplace and town across.. Lively feeling just strolling through..

Surabhi Bihari

We love Hampton beach. The sand area is huge which means lots of place to set up. The lifeguard is always on alert and constantly ensuring everyone's safety. The beach itself has such a welcoming Aura to it. Bathrooms are close by and clean and there are lots of restaurants. I love taking my kids there

Heidi Staruk

We took our 4 and 2 year old grandson the 4 year old loved the 2 year old would not get close to the water. We're tired but nothing a hot shower and nap won't cure. It was a beautiful day a little windy but warm the beach and Street was neat and clean as usual

kirk miller

Totally cool! We will definitely be back to stay for a longer period

Hans Kaufmann

The best beach on the tiny stretch of New Hampshire's Atlantic Seacoast. The water is always cold - just the way we like it. Great food options all over the place with everything from Fried Clams to Pizza. We went on the busiest day of the year and still had a great time. Tons of fun to be had on the boardwalk.

Brenda Alcala

It's a big enough beach that there's always a spot for you. Parking can be a challenge in the summer but if you go late summer/early fall it's the best, as long as the air temperatures are still warm. The waves are usually good too, if you like boogie boarding.

Cindy Szyszkiewicz

I love this beach! However, you have to get here early to find a good parking spot. If you don't mind crowds then you'll enjoy this park. The water is brisk and refreshing. If you want to take a break from the sunshine there are lots of shops, arcades and restaurants across the street from the beach. This is a beautiful place with a festive atmosphere. They also have sand sculptures one weekend out of the year, keep your eyes open for when this is going on. They are worth the trip.

Penny Green

I have never been to Hampton Beach until I went on 8/17/ 2019. Be honest with you about it I would never go again. Just didn't care for it.

Rick Fadden

Clean, Accessible , Excellent parking across from the Police Department. Great Place for Creating Life Long Memories

Cecile Winslow

Love this place wether its to go 2 the beach, see a concert @ the bandstand or Ballroom, seafood festivals, visit breweries, the awesome restaurants or the 100's of other things u can do while here !

Denise Crosby

Absolutely beautiful especially this time of year the beach is quite. Perfect for a nice walk.

Sharon Mroczek

It was a nice beach. It would of been nice to have the walkway lined with a mat to the beach. It would of been easier to walk on. I didn't see any farcets to rinse feet off. There were alot of rocks on the beach

Ari B

Great place!! So clean! Not as busy as the road on Hampton. Always parking. The trail to get to the beach is a little hard because ita about 5 inches of sand. Lots of camps come here. Ok waves.

Bobby Labrie

Nice spot to chill out for the day. Little store for drinks, ice cream, snacks. Also fishing spots all along the rocks but it's best at low tide

Des M.

Very nice beach. Will definitely go again. Got there at 7am, by 7:30, the parking lot was full. Make sure to get there early.

Bert Victor Israelsen

The Seafood Festival was awesome. Great food selections. Well planned and organized.

Gregory Rosic

Amazing beach! Clear water, long sandy beach, facilities. The state park sits at the end of the peninsula. It is crowded on a warm summer day. The water is cool, in the 60's even in July

Michelle Wiswell

This was our first visit to Hampton Beach and we all loved it!! What a beautiful clean beach despite the amount of people! I can't wait to go back! If you get bored with the beach, there are loads of little shops to visit!

Stephenson King

My first time being there. It was great to visit with my lady having fun eating seafood and other foods. Those who can visit should do so.

Michael Kulaga

Fun in the summer time there a awesome campground about 1 to 2 mile away from it. A place you can bring your family for some good entertainment. At night time they got adult fun thing too

ALo

Going to this beach brings back memories from when I was younger. It's almost as fun as I remember. The waves are usually great, and they keep it pretty clean. With reasonably priced parking at the meters.

Rob Rich

Beautiful beach, very small crowd in late September, free and easy parking. Water was cold, but still well worth the trip. Recommended, especially in the early fall.

Dusty Treese - Poust

Arrived early, was able to park in the City lot for handicap accessible parking, next to the Police station. If you have a handicap plate or placard then parking is FREE in this location. The beach was wonderful! The people close by were friendly and the kids close to us got along well w ours. There are a lot of tourist shops n plenty of things to do! It was very well maintained and clean.

Frederick Davis

Clean an great place to bring a Family! An also great place to see shows.bands etc.

Anna Moon

We've actually stayed in a beach house across from the State Park for the last seven summers. It's very beautiful and clean.

Bruce McPhee

Hampton Beach is one of the best beaches in the northeast. Plenty of clean sand until you reach the water so no overcrowding. Only drawbacks can be parking and traffic on real busy days. Worth the trip though.

alex ortega

Great beach for food, games and to swim... Love coming here with my family

Dan Daugherty

I love the beach. Use to love just before north beach . the strip is a little crowded but I'd you can find the little covers before the strip and north beach you can enjoy no being arm to arm

Tracey Greene

On this visit that I made to Hampton Beach I hadn't been there since I was 6 years old. Now being 53 and seeing it again it was an amazing experience and it was just as beautiful as when I was a child. The only thing I didn't like is that they're taking and putting all these expensive condos on the waterfront and taking down some of the old establishments which make it rustic and homie. But other than that such a great place to visit definitely recommend this place to others

Wayne Hawkins

Great place to just go on a walk. Downside, you have to pay to park. Beautiful scenery.

Peter Newman

Great beach with lots to do. Number of shops and restaurants near by. Huge arcade for the kids. Parking is sometimes difficult close to the beach on warm days, but there are a number of parking lots further away. Prices typically run between $10 & $20 to park for the day.

Linda Maynard

Watching the boats come in for the night while eating hot fried dough...and then seeing a couple outside their camper just starting to eat no frills three pound lobsters....what more could anyone ask for?

Susan Miller

Usually go yo Hampton Beach park..not the state park. Went for 1st time and its very very nice. Sand is whiter it seemed and the parking was not too bad.

Michael Ramos

I found amazing parking nearby. A company called Parqyt is representing a hotel owner. I just reserved, parked, and walked less then a few blocks! It was great!

Russell Lanham

This place is awesome. 6 bucks to park for 3 hrs and all the beach you can take!

Nicole Miller

Get there early... You'll get a great spot. Very clean and quiet. Reasonably priced. It is cash only so just remember to have cash with you.

G K

Loved it! Great place to take young kids. We spent an entire day and didn't get bored! Beautiful place

Arg Robert

what a great summer vacation we had. it was a blast. beautiful beach water to go swim. golden sand to tan on. restaurants and shops all over

Love Dobson

It’s a great beach with a lot of stuff to do if you don’t want to sit on the beach. We played in the water for hours and sat on the beach for hours and never felt overly crowded.

MizzLycan 69

Very nice beach! Bathrooms have a place you can privately change into your bathing suit and also private showers to take all the sand and salt off after a great day at the beach.

John Spruce

Well maintained (for the most part) plenty of services and shops nearby.

Cindy

Try to get there either at 8 or 8:30 because then you will never find parking. Not 8:31 not 9 because you will not find ANY parking! THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL. There are Lifegaurds but not enough. Sand is Clean You have to pay for parking but it's not expansive A great place to bring kids

Eli Johnson

To get in you pay $15, but it's worth it, because the beach is big and not too crowded. There's a general store, bathroom/showers, picnic tables, and plenty of parking. The bathroom area smelled pretty bad though

Laura Jennette

Just like I remember it! Beach was very clean, water was cold enough to numb my body quickly so I didn't care about the temp (haha) and kids had a blast! Plenty of life guards out and ensuring swimmers didn't go out to far. Mile long boardwalk with lots of shops (not to be confused for a pier...)
