You have all the opinions of real people who have information of the products of Flume Gorge (Tourist Attraction) in the state of New Hampshire.
At the moment this business has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 and the score has been calculated on 4275 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the top, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we may say that the score is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of State park.
Great views especially on a clear day. Definitely worth it for able ages who can climb a few stairs. Make sure to bring hiking shoes. Most of the employees were nice. The concessions was not worth the money so eat before hand or eat right after. You're able to buy one way tickets to the top and you can hike down or buy round trip tickets.
A truly beautiful place and well laid out for all ages
Breath taking beauty from every angle! A photographer and artists dream location. Understandable why there are so many paintings of this area.
Beautiful scenery, nice hiking trails (though definitely still need microspikes). Great places to take pictures from rock outcroppings. Short hike to Artist's Bluff, but involves some steep inclines.
This place has tons of fun for all ages. Training grounds for the tenth mountain division all the way down to biking hiking and camping with the kids.
Majestic, beautiful, rustic, if you like the outdoors... come see...
If you have an hour or 10 hours to spend outside spend it here handicap accessible.
Everyone can find something to do in the great outdoors. Smokey the Bear was celebrating his 75th.
The ride was great and would have enjoyed better if weather was good
Lovely place for a family outing. Friendly staff.
Beautiful hike to see the flume gorge. Great fun for the kids too.
Beautiful views and an amazing ridge walk make this place special
Beautifull park located in White Mountains New Hampshire. It's absolutely gorgeous during fall season. lots of trails with all difficult levels , for newbies , aged to young . Beautifull views of mountain and lakes.
So beautfiul. Tons of trails and natural wonders to explore
Great hike up to Lonesome Lake.
Echo lake there beautiful. Have a camping area at lake which is government run. When the wind blows through the notch and good camping there you will feel it. Trust me Been there, done that.
An amazing hike to Lafayette. You get miles of 360 degree views along the ridge line between mountains. Be prepared. This is not much harder than other 4000 foot mountaims. But if you have not done high peaks, read up on the level of fitness and supplies needed. Don't be the unhappy guy I ran into wearing Tevas!
Nice way to spend a morning. Very high up on the aerial tramway. The caves were more of just narrow walkways between boulders, but the view is spectacular. Bring mosquito repellent.
Fantastic views. Great hikes.
Echo lake in the summer is perfect temperatures for a swim, nestled in between the mountains. You get quite a view for some nature lovers. Bring your kayak & use the boat launch near the parking lot. They also have a lift that brings you high up above the trees..may only be open seasonally. Double check before making plans
Nice trip up the cannon mountain tram. We did the discovery pass so we can go to flume gorge later this year.
Beautiful drive. Impressive mountainous features. Thicc
A fun relaxing place you can bring the family for a day of fun in nature
Excellent park to visit. Views from the summit are amazing and the trails are very scenic.
The basin is a GReat place for kids and other short-hike folks.
A nice picnic spot located in white mountains on the top of Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire. The place is very popular in ski enthusiasts. You can reach the place either by a hiking trail or by travelling in rope tram.
We we're driving towards Boston from Mt. Washington and wanted to make a stop at some place to relax. We came across this state park and pulled our car over to find such a beautiful scenic location with a calm water body where you can take a dip. There are trails that lead to the campgrounds but the only down side of certain trails is that they are very close to the highway and the noise can be heard clearly.
Like the flume, beautiful and breathtaking views with many activities from hiking to biking, canoeing and swimming for the summer and plenty of skiing and snowshoeing close by there is something for everyone.
Beautiful area with lots of things to do. Great area for a weekend get away or some skiing in the winter
Cool place to visit while you’re on vacation. I would love to come back again.
Been coming here since I was a child and will continue visiting for many more years. It's only 13 dollars up and a 2.5 hour hike down.
Beautiful place to visit sadly there no more old man on the mountain
Absolutely beautiful park.. driving into it felt like a national park.. actually I'm surprised it isn't a national park.. lots to do and see. Camping is a bit noisy though
Pretty. You have to pay for every place you go to though
I hike here on most days off the scenery of NH is the best
Every time.i visit I love this place, one of the very beautiful place to visit on summer, fall and winter.
This is a mesmerizing place. Very scenic drive. Nearby tram service area parking is free. In all the places free parking. Nice trail and great basin view.
Clean beauty at its most Majestic. Gods glory is on full display. The peaks are bare top. These hikes require you to be in good physical condition. Do not attempt unless you are. The views are worth the hike to the top. There are many geological sites in this rather Condensed area. Just beautiful.
Looking for a great hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Then do the Franconia Ridge Loop. It includes, Little Haystack, Lincoln and Mt. Lafayette. It's about 10 miles or so to complete the loop. It took about 8 hours to complete. Nontheless, the views are spectacular and memorable. Also there's a hut near Mt. Lafayette where you can stop to get some food, drinks and additional gear if necessary. And yes they do accept credit card. Highly worth doing this adventure. I do say it should be for experienced hikers though. Not a great one for beginners.
My pup had a great time walking in the Basin trail
Absolutely beautiful place to go hiking, do some swimming and have a nice picnic! Bring the family, bring your dogs. Everyone will love it.
Magnificent views ! Park is very clean and there are plenty kids friendly places to visit . Wish we had more time to explore it . Hopefully be back in fall to enjoy the foliage.
White mountain... Really appreciate its greenness. Things are developed very well here and places are easy to access.
Beautiful place in the white mountains. It’s good to ride, hiking, friends and family. Many beautiful places to take some picks.
Such a beautiful drive, the trails are clean and lakes are clear. You definitely want to visit.
Beautiful views, scenic roadways and lovely nature trails. Don't miss this well traveled area if you are near! Watch out for moose!!
Beautiful Landscapes and lots to do. You can go fishing, hiking, camping, nature photographing. You could take a ride up cannon mountain on the Tram and take in scenic vistas. Visit the site where the Old Man on the Mountain once stood. And that's just a few of the things you can do up in Franconia Notch! Take a hike to see Flume Gorge, an incredible park with beautiful waterfalls and lands changed by glaciers in the Ice Age. There are barely words to describe the beauty of The Flume, I promise you'll be glad you went. It does get crowded, so go a bit earlier for smaller crowds.
This park has it all! Plenty of hikes for all skill levels. One of our favorite activities is the. Ike path that runs from Echo Lake to the Flume. We had a rainy day and plenty to see with all the visitor centers and tourist attractions in town.
Beautiful hiking, kayaking, leaf peeping and skiing options. The Notch has it all.
One of our fav places. Such beauty for you nature lovers!
Scenic, woodsy, not so crowded, mid-Sept mid-week
Franconia Notch is a great place to explore! There's a trail head before the falls that will lead you to the pemi loop (Mount flume, mount liberty, little haystack mountain, mount Lafayette, etc). Check it out if your up in lincoln woods area in NH.
Fabulous place. I saw 2 moose walking along side of me in the woods while I was on the path. A very well visited park yet well maintained by The State. Thanks New Hampshire for a one with nature place you can spend forever in.
The tram ride was surprisingly crowded, considering we visited on a Tuesday afternoon... But it is the height of "peeping" season... And it was a sunny and clear day. During the ride up, we were in the middle of the tram and had nothing to hold onto. There were a couple of areas where the tram sways enough that we had difficulty balancing. Once at the top of Cannon Mountain, the views were spectacular. A guide at the observation tower would be a very nice addition, so one can identify the mountains in the distance.
Always a great time whether you are enjoying Cafe 4080, NH highest bar, the views or hiking one of their many trails. Their gift shop is great as well since prices are much more reasonable than many other gift shops in the area. Don't skip the Ski Museum either!
Great views. Awesome visit. Beautiful tram ride (7minutes) to the top. Skip the fast food & bar & take the short path to the top. The views are incredible all the way to Maine, Canada, Vermont & Massachusetts
Beautiful this has to be on You're bucket list. You have to see to believe
This whole area is beautifully scenic and peaceful. Outdoor opportunities for people of all abilities.
Beautiful place to go hiking! Lots of great short hikes that have beautiful views of the mountains or lake. This Notch definitely has a rugged beauty to it. The Basin and artist"s bluff are favorites. Most hikes are suitable for young children or dogs as well. Great place for a day trip, and plenty of places to park, and have a picnic lunch. This is definitely a must see for outdoor enthusiasts.
Knowing that my wife is deathly afraid of heights I was incredibly surprised that she agreed to take the tram up to the top of Cannon Mountain. The ride itself was breathtaking and the staff operating the tram were incredible! They not only made us feel safe but treated our three-year-old daughter like a little Queen. The staff's attitude here just added to the beauty of the area and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
I can't even begin to explain how absolutely amazing this place is. The Franconia Loop has been rated as one of the best hikes in North America, after an all day I can see why. This should be on every hikers bucket list
Lonesome lake trail was amazing! I see it in my dreams still. Definitely gotta try it out.
Stunning. Great hikes and great people all together in one of the most beautiful spots in the country.
Great place ..the tramway is a must ...if you love nature/mountains this is the place . No drones though ..that sucked!
When I was a kid my father used to take me up to NH very often and I always had a great time. Franconia Notch is just one of the most beautiful places that we have locally, 3 hour ride for me. I have some friends that live in Vermont so I get to pass through any time I see them but most of the time it is at night. If its possible I try and leave with daylight though so we can experience the natural beauty of the area, and it is amazing. Highly reccomend stopping everywhere possible if you are not from the area, it gets better and better the most time you spend.
Very well maintained and clean place. Views are amazing in any direction
Loved loved loved coming here. This time we did the Old Man on the Mountain site and the Aerial Tramway at Cannon Mountain. Beautiful views and lots of history to read about.
Franconia notch is always amazing, and has been since I was a kid. The Old Man in the Mountain fell in 2003, but he lives on through the very neat memorial erected by Profile Lake. There is tons to do for hikers and skiers, but also plenty for the average vacationer (that doesn't want to hike 20 miles).
Always very well maintained lots of places to sit and very easy to get to. There are some more challenging places to walk to but overall very accessible and absolutely beautiful place to be rain or shine
Many trails to explore. Campgrounds, Lonesome lake to hike to and have a refreshing swim. Also a waterfalls trail across from campground.
The best hiking in New Hampshire. Convenient to My. Washington as well. Lafayette Place campground is very nice, no hookups but has clean bathrooms and hot showers. Quite a few trails are right here in the campground.
Easily the best drive in New England. The mountains, cliffs and ponds are beautiful. The drive on I-93 is awesome.
Quickly becoming one of my families favorite destinations. So many places to hike and just otherwise enjoy being in nature.
Love it out here. A must see at least once a year.
Always beautiful. Always serene. I have been coming to Franconia Notch State Park my entire 37 years of my life...besides losing the Old Man on the Mountain, this place does not change. I now take my kids here. A great place to un-plugg from life and electronics. There are a million things to do here in nature from hiking, swimming, climbing, biking or just laying around enjoying the amazingly quiet atmosphere. The night skies are filled with billions of stars, miles away from any light polution. The air is clean and sweet. Even on rainy stormy days Franconia Notch is a site to behold. Go here. Enjoy.
Awesome area! I'm from the Adirondacks, but this is an amazing place! Check weather before going, try and go during the week to avoid tourists and loud kids! I'd suggest going before school let's out or in the fall season!
Had a great time in the woods. Flume gorge is a must visit. I think this place looks more beautiful in fall colors but summertime is also gorgeous!
The new old man site was a cool take on what they could do to continue the attraction
We had a great time riding up and down the mountain! We took the long route to the observation deck and got some great views on the edge of the mountain! Took the short route down and it was pretty easy! Definitely do it!
BEST PLACE FOR THE HIKINGGGG! :D
Lots of great places, trails and waterfalls to visit. The primary attraction is the Flume Gorge (the trail is around 2 miles or so which is very beautiful specially during fall season), Cannon Mountain (Ride the arial tramway to the summit. The scenery is beautiful), Echo Lake (offers spectacular views of the mountains and a nice place to do kayaking), Old Man of the Mountain (long gone). Entry fee to Flume Gorge is $16 or you can get a discovery pass for $31 that also includes the Cannon Ariel Tramway.
Everyone should get up there once in your life. One of my favorite area for weekend or vacation. Amazing park. Great place to go. Not to mention historical and lots of memories can be made in these types of places.
A beautiful area with so many trails and attractions nearby. The Lafayette campground was clean and enjoyable!
Echo Lake is a very beautiful place if you have a boat go out on that Lake and you will see the beautiful mountains very nice place
Franconia State Park is beautiful. We did the combo pass that includes the tram ride and the Flume Gorge and we enjoyed both. We hiked Mt. Pemigawasett and it was challenging and rewarding!
Fantastic place for camping, hiking biking. Commercial campgrounds are pricy, but a deal for families.
Really beautiful area. Totally worth a visit. Pity we didn't have a clear day
Awesome park that is very accessible from the highway. Can and will be crowded during the summer months. Worth it to stop and check out some of the sights. Area generally sees a good amount of snowfall each year so be prepared if you're planning on going during the colder months.
Franconia is such a lovely park with so many great things to do. If you’re in the area, check out some of the trails, including The Basin & The Flume Gorge. We enjoyed a quick morning hike through The Basin and were blown away by the river, and all the informational plaques. Definitely learned a lot
Artist's bluff and bald Mountain is a great family friendly hike near Echo Lake. It's a couple of bucks to get into beach and you can rent paddleboats, kayaks or canoes for $20/hr. Gorgeous lake.
One of the best parks I've been to in a casual way. Well put together and not too crowded in places. Good vibes/friendly people. Lots of chances for solitude and beauty in nature.
Took the tram up cannon mountian. The tram runs frequently and they have the times posted of how often it runs. It had amazing views. They do have a cafeteria here to eat at as well as a gift shop. They also offer hiking and skiing. Would definitely recommend at least trying the tram.
5 stars because of the natural beauty and proximity to Boston. The area is heavily trafficked on every summer weekend but provides the closest mountainous hiking near Boston. Nice routes and views on a clear day. If you have the time, other areas of the White Mountains provide more seclusion and wilderness experience, but I'll take Franconia Notch over the city any day!
Lafayette Loop is considered to be one of the best mountain hikes in New England! Providing enough challenge for an average hiker, combined with amazing views and waterfalls along the way. Plus, if you turn towards Lafayette Mountain first, there will be a Hut in about 2 hours of "climbing" - to rest, refill with fresh water (free) and even get some snacks or hot soup or tea! The total elevation gain is about 3,800 feet, about 9 miles long, takes about 6-7 hours to complete. Make sure to have enough water, an additional layer of clothing/windbreaker (wind can be FREEZING on the top even if it's hot at the parking lot) and good hiking shoes (please no flip-flops!!!) If properly prepared and the weather is good, you will enjoy it tremendously!
Bike path was cool. People at the lakes were to much. To many and to gross...... park is scenic and fun though. Recommend going here for 45 min. Then leaving and swing in a clean river some where.
The best day trip area ...we loved it!
This is a beautiful park with great views of the mountains. We recommend the tram ride up Cannon Mountain, which was a lot of fun. At the top, you can grab a bite to eat or something to drink or just take in the views, before heading off to the trails. The people are friendly. We had a great time.
Breathtaking 360 view at the summit. Definitely one I would do again (and again?)
Great Park for hikes and beach, just don't camp there. Campground is just off interstate 93 making for constant truck noise.
Lovely to hike or even just drive through. There is a gondola up one of the ski slow that offers incredible views when the weather is good. I recommend late afternoon, just before closing.
The fall colors were phenomenal! The park is very clean.
It's a nice place to go hiking because there is good parking and nice trails.
Seeing the views of our past to what things are now and how they were in the past when it all started to give people the chance to view how everything started was amazing views taking photos and viewing the history of our past to now here in the present you learn how people lived and how they worked to make history an amazing place to explore all our wonderful state parks and learn how to appreciate them . So amazing
The beauty of God's creation seen here is practically unrivaled.
Easy access from the highway especially if you are dealing with a disability. Road noise is a little loud
really good place for trek and scenic views. You'll love the lake on top of the mountain on 2.5 mile hike
Dogs allowed in this incredible park ! Very nice hikes, all levels available.
One of the beautiful places I've ever been to. Amazing weather in late August and marvellous views.
Awesome! What a great state park with a nice mix of beach, water, hiking, exploring, and other activities. Will definitely be back!
The air trams were awesome. Definetly go here.
Great views. Good place to have land scape photos.
Beautiful scenery, just starting with foliage season.
The Basin trail up to Kinsman Falls is easy and has great photo ops.
Just Beautiful.. And the person in front of me was doing the speed limit 45 So I got to look about more
Had tons of fun hiking mt Lafayette mt Lincoln and little haystack cant wait to get back to the notch for more hikes
Love this place. Such wonderful scenery. I have been coming here since I was a little kid. This is now one of many trips I have taken my own kids here to see this place. So peaceful and well maintained. Please come here and enjoy the views.
Amazing place. Wow. What a great place to go. Everyone should get up there once in your life, at least. I will be making this a regular yearly thing now. My kids loved it and it was beautiful. Not to mention historical and lots of memories can be made in these types of places. I can't wait to go back and take a lot more pictures. So beyond the look out for more additional pictures from Franconia Notch State Park!
The Tramway experience is wonderful as long as you don't mind heights. The views are awesome on a clear day. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes in order to hike the short, easy trail to the observation tower, taking in views from outlooks along the way. Bring warm clothing as the summit temperature can be quite cooler than the valley. The Tram employees are friendly and helpful. Hey, a big bonus--free for NH residents 65 and up, Monday-Friday!! (ID required)
Couldn't love this area more! We have been coming here in October for 35 years.
Very nice views and very accessible. You can hike to the top of Cannon Mountain or take the tram.
Great place for a picnic, swimming. Great views of the mountains.
Absolutely loved this park! It was the best part of our trip! The flume gorge was beautiful and park staff were extremely nice and helpful.
Have loved stopping here ever since I was kid sitting in the backseat of the family car with my little brother. Great network of walking trails and scenic overlooks
So beautiful and peaceful. Easy pull off the highway access.
The bicycle trail from the basin to its end is tough up by a delight going down
Great views of the mountains from the ariel tram. Too bad the trails were closed when we visited due to snow but overall a great experience to go with flume gorge.
Gorgeous views. Being from Washington State, I have a hard time finding hikes that are on par with what I'm used to. But after hiking the North Kinsman ridge via the trail off the basin and down through Lonesome lake, I can honestly say this is one of the best hikes I've been on.
Great day of hiking! Lovely views.
One of the best state parks I’ve ever visited. Ten years later I still have its photographs framed.
Literally the best mountains east of the Rockies! I live locally and come frequently year round. There are just so many options to choose from, by category starting with the best. Easy- 1. The flume 2. Aerial tram 3. The basin 4. Profile or Echo lake Moderate-1. Lonesome Lake 2. Artist Bluff 3. Mt. Pemigewasset 4. Basin/cascades trail Hard- 1. Mt. Lafayette 2. Cannon Mt. 3. Mt kinsmen/pond 4. Mt. Liberty/Flume. Seasonally summer/fall are very crowded on the weekends. Summer is nothing special. Spring is nearly empty but for some reason it doesn't get nearly as buggy as other parts of the state. Winter is great, generally the main trails are packed and if you stay below treeline you will be surprised that it isn't that cold.
Great place to check out the state does a good job of keeping it clean and taking care of it !
Great staff real helpful and pleasant soup and coffee was good restrooms clean!!
This Lake is wonderful if you in this area you must visit this Lake
A nice place to just get out and enjoy nature and have a beer because why not!
Always a great and wonderful place. If you are considering going DO IT!
The hike trail we decided to take up Lafayette mountain is 9 miles. There were a few different paths to choose from. The views were absolutely breathtaking and there was an experienced guide at the top to answer questions. Once you hike 6 miles there is a stopover in a cabin that serves hot chocolate and other drinks as well as snacks.
Gorgeous park in the White Mountains of NH. I only regret we didnt have more time to spend.
This is a beautiful place to visit! Lots to do and a little something for all ages. You can relax at echo lake beach, fish, kyak, or take a hike geared for any skill level.
Great scenery during peak fall season. Fantastic vistas and best mountains and waterfalls I've seen in New England so far.
Plenty to see and do. Nature at it's best.
Love Artist Bluff! Easy mini hike with amazing views!
Beautiful, even in the rain. We took a walk to the Basin. It was well maintained and had good accessibility.
Great place! Love the Echo Beach and the trip to the Cannon mountain in the tram. The views are breathtaking.
So peaceful great break from the interstate.
We went to the basin. Very interesting and besutiful. Parking was a little sparris, but we found a space.
Loved the 3 mike RT hike to Indianhead(rated moderate/about 1000ft. Elevation or more to Summit/lots of roots and uneven rocks but Ok for this 58 yr. Old from Michigan!) but needed clearer trailhead locating instructions from the Visitor center. Trailhead is right on the bike path on the far parking lot, then pick up the path shortly to the Mtn. Biked the Rec. Path afterwards for 6.6 miles each way (to/fro Tram& Man on Mountain exhibit). 600+ft. Climb the first half and a fast way back!! Make sure your brakes are in proper working order !
So beautiful. Been for many hikes here
Great natural areas and views. The bike path is also very scenic.
Loved the lake and a perfect cloudy day for pictures of the trees shadows
Gorgeous. Colors were spectacular. Great hiking and waterfalls.
For experienced hikers/runners only. Did the Franconian ridge loop counterclockwise starting with falling waters. Slightly muddy given the recent snow melt, but overall a well maintained trail with rewarding views along the ridge itself. Took a bit of time with inexperienced hikers in our party, but completed the loop in about 8.5 hours. Worth it!!
Love this place! Any season, it's just beautiful!
One of the beautiful parks in New Hampshire. So sad the old man not there but it's still a beautiful place to visit and see all the.other mountains around the area.
Its Nature at it's best the views a most see place with family and friends great camping also.
Excellent hike, but when the reviews say for experienced hikers it means that this is for experienced hikers. If you're a casual hiker like me then this hike will chew you up and spit you out exhausted after approximately 7hours. But it was definitely worth it just be prepared and if you have hiking poles, definitely bring them along. Good luck to all!
Mountain beauty, trout fishing, geologic wonders, and the best day hike in New Hampshire (possibly all of New England).
NH is my happy place... nothing like getting back to nature!
This is one of our favorite places to hike. We were treated to a clear day.
