You will be able to see all the opinions of people like you who used the products of Mammoth Hot Springs (Tourist Attraction) around Montana area.
At present this firm has a score of 4.8 stars over 5 and the rating is based on 1302 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is almost the best, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Mammoth is a fairly easy hike across boardwalks and some dirt sections. There are two portions, one which loops down into the town that may be a little tough due to steep paths and stairs up. And another that is more accessible but does not cover as much ground. As an added bonus, the area around Mammoth has some of the best wireless reception in the park
Very cool to see this area. Would be nice if they built a wooden platform a little higher off the ground so you could get a better view BUT...still worth walking through this area and don't miss sitting in the Boiling River...it's just around the corner
Beautiful walk along the upper and lower springs. They contrast with the surrounding green mountains so so well!! Some of our photos were so perfect, they looked unreal. This is a must see if you're spending more than one day in Yellowstone. You can drive up to the upper terrace or park below and then walk up. Either way, the whole upper and lower terrace is a must do :)
How many ways can you say 'Wonder of Nature'? Yellowstone National Park is the answer.
A place out of this world in Yellow Stone . One should keep this at the top of the yellow Stone itinerary
One of the best places in Yellow stone which gives you a different perspective about nature.. A must see if you are in Yellowstone. There is a nice trail that you could walk around as well
Amazing - Not like anything I've ever seen before. Be prepared to climb maybe a few hundred feet in elevation via man-made stairs and ramps.
Great place to see, however follow the rules.. and watch out for the Elk...
Simply beautiful, but parking sucks. Good luck finding a parking spot in the middle of July!
I've been wanting to visit Mammoth for years and it was everything I ever dreamed it would be! There's so much history here and the scenery could keep me here for a week!
It was absolutely awesome my husband and I both really enjoyed it.
Incredible to see all the deposits and the running hot water over different colors is tripping
We got into the park early thru West entrance and took about 45-60 minutes to make it to area. Really cool when we got up here lots of elk hanging out. Gets busy in afternoon. Those with accessibility needs check with visitor center on what roads to drive to give you great views. I took my son up around terraces and it was great.
There are lovely terraces of travertine and nice views of the surrounding area.
What a cool place! There is food nearby at a cute old fashioned store. And walking around the Springs area is mind blowing. Nature is so educational and interesting!
Good, but little bit overrated. The colorful limestone terraces are main attraction of the resort. The terraces are quite nice, but cannot compare to those in Pamukkale (Turkey). There are better places to see in the Yellowstone NP - see the Norris Geyser Basin for example.
It's still beautiful to see even if it's drying up! Just beware of the lack of parking (during the summer months)
My kids loved watching the elk eat right outside the cabin. Such a quiet and peaceful place.
Probably one of our favorite areas in the park. Lots to see and explore. The day we were there a whole herd of Elk were right downtown stopping traffic.
This is unreal, you should definitely go to this place , I can’t explain I don’t even have words like how amazing it was
While this boardwalk had lots of stairs, it is well worth the trip from top to bottom and back again. A striking contrast between the old terraces dying & turning gray/white and the new terraces forming with an array of white, yellow, orange and rust tones.
Was a little disappointing for the rigorous hike. Go to the other hot springs and mud volcanoes in the area for a better time:)
One amazing place to visit....if you don't mind the smell....we loved every part of the park, so much to see and enjoy with the family.
A really neat experience especially if you hike up all the stairs to the top (which is not easy!)
Mammoth Hot springs is one of the must view places at Yellowstone National park after old faithful Geysers and Grand Prismatic springs. You get to see the most beautiful wonders of the earth.
So cool to see natural hot springs. It also was a great mini hike without going on the trails but we still got out of the car. Extremely beautiful!
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. -Albert Einstein
What a wonderful place .. beautiful hot springs and micro organisms growing underneath, mystery of nature.. Those who cannot hike to see the upper Geycers have the option to go on wheels until the top.. On the way to reach Mammoth you can spot bears, bison deers... Beautiful place with lot of Creeks and scenic drive ways
A good place to start the exploration of Yellowstone, especially if you camped near Norris. A short hike will get you close to the hot springs. Mornings are your best bet as you can beat the crowds!
This spot here had a few steps but not bad
Mammoth hot springs makes you realize how little we understand about the geology on earth. The amazing geothermal features have existed for thousands of years with single life cells that are foundational to life on earth. Pretty awe inspiring.
It's crowded, but the formations around the springs are otherworldly and gorgeous. Parking easier at the upper springs and then you can walk down to lower. Good exercise on the way back up in the heat, but worth it to avoid fighting for parking at the lower springs.
It's amazing how nature can sculpture their own art. Truly amazing to see.
A very scenic tour of an other worldly landscape. The steep stairs can be challenging to those with asthma or breathing complications at high altitudes.
Interesting to visit once but not my favorite in Yellowstone.
Loved this place! We spent several hours hours exploring.
Mammoth springs are really nice. All the tiny formations look like miniature versions of canyons and waterfalls. Some of them have really nice colors. It is well worth the walk (and climb) to see most if the points there.
This was an unexpectedly nice stop on our first in a lifetime road trip of Yellowstone.
This is an extremely popular place and so therefore it is hard to find a parking place. We had to park in town and walked all the way to Mammoth Hot Springs. It was scorching hot but we managed to get a good view of the spectacular springs. It would have been better if people would view it with quietness instead of blabbering about here and there.
The color is so vivid! The view is amazing!
Impressive area with wooden trail that leads to the top. I recommend bringing some water along on a warmer day.
Nice walk from parking lot to spring. Well mentioned boardwalk. Upper terrace was my favorite spot in Mammoth hot springs. It has one way drive to upper terrace. Rest area and a visitor center and a cafe is there.
Very cool spot. Parking along the way up and lots of wooden staircases to take you around and over the springs!
Another great place to see lots of unique springs. Also visit The town at the bottom. Has some good cafeteria and other buildings
You truly have to see this to believe it. It's as amazing and awe-inspiring as you've heard. Much of the joy in seeing a place like this is that it is constantly changing. Wish National Parks could get more funding to have rangers at places like this, as we saw much stupidity and ignorance of safety warnings. But I guess you get what you get- people have died in places like Mammoth for ignoring the rules.
Must visit when in Yellowstone , it’s a great place to see the beauty of hot springs plus there are restaurants nearby so if hungry go eat :-) Roosevelt arch is just a 10 min drive . The most scenic place in all of Yellowstone National park
It says in it's own name!! It's a MAMOTH
Nothing like it, I liked it better than old faithful, a must see
Great place to visit, but be prepared for big crowds of people. Parking can be a pain so be patient. Nice views around the boardwalk make it worth stopping here.
Absolutely breath taking. Visited in early spring and there was still snow on the ground. Tons of wildlife, and amaizing scenery. Everywhere you look is a post car worthy view.
Loved our trip here. Lots to see but it was a bit crowded as we went 4th of July week. Some road construction that stops traffic for a little bit
Never stayed at the hotel, but the Mammoth Geysers are nice. The view of the hotel from the top of the park is nice
Supper cool spot, part of the site is dormant I can only imagine how amazing it once was. Has ice cream in the town, saw elk on Main Street. Nice stop in the park.
A great spot to view one of the many wonders of the Yellowstone National Park. Mammoth hot springs consists of a collection of individual separate hot springs that are accesible by hiking trails. There are also parking spots at the lower terraces and upper terraces for those who do not wish to hike the trails. I entered the from the North entrance so this was one of the first major attractions (discounting Boiling River). Seeing the boiling steaming water and flowing springs resulting in steam was a wonderful sight and gave me the push to explore the Yellowstone more and better. For more information, look at some of the photos of the maps and information boards I have posted.
Most see. Recommend going in morning when really misty and when the day warms to see the colors better.
Awesome plce- well worth the stop. Hike from the bottom
This is a very special place. I've never seen something like that before. Absolutely worth to see.
Very cool thermal feature, different from what you see near Old Faithful.
I love Yellowstone and this is one of my favorite parts
Mammoth hot springs was a neat part of Yellowstone. All of the different springs were cool to see. I really liked that the trail allowed you to see some of them from above and below. My only complaint has to do with the amount of people. We could barely walk without getting run into. It’s a popular spot, so of course it’s going to be crowded. If you want to experience nature without the people I would recommend going to another part of the park.
Even if you only have one day, this is a must visit in the yellowstone. Go to the upper part first, then drive back to the visitor center or general store area.
This is closer to the North entrance at Yellowstone! Worth the drive from the West entrance and driving all the way up North. This is in the Mammoth Hot Springs Historical District with hills of travertine. Can’t get any more cooler than that. A must-see, you can’t miss this!
Beautiful place. A must visit spot.
It was everything I hoped for. We were there for a day visit. Interesting history as well as lots of elk.
The natural features, the historic buildings and the elk.
Definitely get a good stepcount in by touring the paths around the hot springs, but if you go early enough, you can get it all in before it gets too hot and crowded. Great views, amazing formations from all the hot water and sulfur, plus plenty of Elk to take photos of!
Terrace of hot springs. Full of unique colors hard to see somewhere else. Wild pronghorns could be witnessed in this area.
Wowie! So many springs or varying sizes, colors, and water stream types to experience within this hillside area. The Lower Terrace is very pedestrian friendly. Enjoy a stroll and hike on the boardwalk to get from one spring location to another, along with far away views of other springs, and the valley landscape.
Stunning place. Easily accessible, plenty of parking. Boardwalk everywhere, hence hike is easy, very easy. I saw a herd of elk sop by and I know other animals frequent this place too. People should hold on to their hats, avoid polluting these nature wonders
Really cool to look at but the sidewalks need more attention!
Little dried as compare to last 5 years but still its beautiful.
I love Mammoth Hot Springs. It was snowing when we were there, and it was gorgeous. I highly recommend!
Great place to view the weird quirks of geography. You can see landscapes change right before your eyes.
Mammoth Hot Springs had beautiful colorful geothermal features. We hiked the entire boardwalk in about 1.5 to 2 hours (recommend bringing a good guide book that lists the names and info for each feature as the brochure boxes are usually empty). We also did the Upper Terrace Drive by car. We also hiked the five-mile Beaver Ponds trail (took our family of three--mom, dad, and nine-year-old--about five hours because we stopped to take lots of pictures). If you do the trail, bring lots of water and sunscreen. It us mostly up for first half mile than levels out then goes back down. Go clockwise around the loop. The visitors' center is also worth a stop.
A good hike up and down to find the current water location. It was neat to see the changes the landscape went from old to new
Beautiful location but it was really crowded. Lots to see and do, quite a bit of hiking trails, you could spend quite a bit of time here seeing all of the hot springs. We were here in the middle of the day so it was pretty hot out on the trails and paths.
Great place. Decent parking. Like being on another planet! Near a small town where you can get a bit to eat and some great ice cream!
Interesting place to visit. A must see in Yellowstone
This place is mind blowing. I am completely surprised the way it farmed this mineral mountains. This is the best place in Yellowstone. I strongly recommend to go to this place..
Beautiful, flowing a lot more than 9 yrs ago.
The Mammoth area is gorgeous. It was difficult to park (think waiting in line in your vehicle) and was one of the most crowded places I visited in Yellowstone, but it was worth it.
It was cool enough, but compared to the rest of the park it was not as impressive, if this were not in Yellowstone it would be five star.
Wow. Loved seeing how nature can sculpt a masterpiece
Loved the place, take more water on sunny days
This is just magical place. There is no words to explain. It’s another planet. I never seen and doubt I will see even something similar to this ever.
Very crowded in july. But well worth the trip.
Very beautiful place to visit. Experience a new world
There doesn't seem to be a superlative big enough to fit this spring. You will just have to see it for your self. You will be astounded.
Wonderful and very beautiful..Must see.
Very cool area! Nearby is a general store, eatery, post office, flush restrooms and old Fort you can tour the grounds of. We saw ground squirrels and Elk.
The rocks are awesome! Also great and easy boardwalk to navigate!
What a sight! It is better than a lot of paintings.
What a place...easy to access, super photogenic...just stay on the wooden paths!
So many cool things to see.
One of my most favorite areas in Yellowstone. Everything is so beautiful here.
The landscape is so beautiful and surreal, you need to see it to fully appreciate it. Be prepared for throngs of people if you go mid-August. Elk frequent the visitor’s center and campground close by.
A very cute town inside Yellowstone, we saw Elk, the people were friendly and the hotsprings are stunning! Too bad you can't swim there :(
Really beautiful natural wonder. Plan on spending at least an hour and a half. It's worth it.
I came in through the north side opposed to the west and explored Mammoth springs. Which are quite beautiful and unique, I would put these on the lower end than the prismatic hot spring. But if you have the time definitely worth the trip!
Recommend visiting this place either in the morning or before Sunset, golden hour here can be very pretty and typically the temperatures are better. Pro tip: each area has its own parking lot so if you don't want to walk all the way up you can drive and walk down and move your vehicle. Note, You will smell sulfur throughout the park, so be mindful if that is sensitive for you.
These terraces are amazing! And each can grow by as much as 6' a year. The boardwalks allow great, close-up access to admire the beauty. The upper terraces drive is a good way to visit if walking a lot won't work for you. The elk down by the hotel we're also great to see.
Ridiculously cool and beautiful area. Like so many other places in the park it is both unique and stunning, almost alien at times. Definitely a must see. If you have small kids make sure you keep them close, there are portions with minimal or no guardrails where they could fall off the path and hurt themselves and the thermal features.
This area is just a short distance from the North Yellowstone entrance. It was not too crowded when we were there at the end of the day, beautiful place to enjoy the sunset. The paths make it easy to traverse, and excellent photo opportunities abound. Make sure you use the restroom before you set out because there wasn't one nearby.
Excellent place to spend quality time...
Incredible sites to see and take your family to visit! No bathrooms on the trails. You cant (or shouldn’t) bring drinks on the trails. Pets aren’t allowed either. At times the smells can be overwhelming and the winds can blow the steam and smells right into your path.
Get ready for a Climb up hill but it was well worth it! And bring a jacket which a hood at all times of the year it's windy and cold here even with the hot springs. Still loved it!
This place is amazing! The whole family loved it!!
Wow! Amazing view. Definitely worth it.
Well maintained and great walkways. Good informational signs
If you don't have a lot of time to visit Yellowstone, this is a nice stopping point to see a geological feature. There are boardwalks all around the hot springs for a nice walk after being in the car.
Amazing!! This is a must-see for any Yellowstone visitor. The little tourist area below is busy, but fun. Prepare for lots of walking, especially if you hike to the top of the 'springs.' Also, the smell is not pleasant, be forewarned.

Beautiful and loved the boardwalked trails . It's makes it an easy walk or "hike" for those that don't like to get the boots dirty. Must see here! I'll have to come back in the summer when everything is open and flowing!
This is a very popular tourist destination so my recommendation is to get here early to avoid the crowds and the sun! It can be a little bit of a walk to see all of the stops but it is well worth it!
Great tour with Ranger Mike.
Humungous size of hot springs and deposits around truly matches with name Mammoth. There is no parallel to this natural phenomenon.
Fall is good, but winter is great.
The 2nd best place to visit in my opinion!
Take the upper terrace drive. It's incredible! No trailers or RVs allowed.
This area of the park is beautiful in it's own right, but somewhat underwhelming and barren. Upper hot springs are very slow flow, and only a smaller section has flowing water. The land formation is still impressive though
Really awesome place! Totally recommend stopping here. Emperor would love it.
Very cool! Worth stopping!
Viewed amazing scenes of ever-changing earth
Mammoth is amazing. Very crowded area but the views are gorgeous.
A must see. Lots of hot water. Do not let your dog jump in.
Must see part of Yellowstone. Pools are beautiful. Walk is easy enough most anyone can enjoy this.
Absolutely amazing! Got there at 6:30 am and got to enjoy the area by myself for almost an hour. Was so amazing!
Be prepared to walk a lot of steps, the views are incredible, and parking is limited.
Really beautiful area and there's stores, restaurants, coffee, ice cream. The attraction is amazing, plan on a lot of walking if you want to see the whole thing. If you really want to see it all drive to the upper lot and explore that too
Such a beautiful place! Fun to walk around. It's well preserved. If you go when there's snow, keep in mind that the bear prints on the ground are probably faked by other tourists.
Very unique place you have to stop if you can
We went in late September. Cool places to see within walking distance of town, plus they had showers (and all other amenities you could need), 4 elk herds roaming all over town, bleating their rut calls, easy campground in town too. Pretty cool place to stay for the night. Earlier in the year would have been chaos with the crowds and likely less enjoyable. When we went, the crowd-levels were fine, but it was below freezing at night. Had to drive to Gardinier to do laundry tho... But it was a very short drive out of Yellowstone.
Nice 30 min walk, be sure to take water!
If you don't know a lot about this place like i did before showing up then you should expect a lot of sulfur and steam. The weather in the town of Mammoth was beautiful but walking around the hot springs was humid and the air was tick with the smell of eggs. It should be noted that those who have difficulty breathing should go slow or enjoy the view from the town below.
Great place, little parking space, be prepared to walk a mile
Superb place on my bucket list. Must go!
Really cool to see the science. There are trees there that were partially submerged in special chemicals made in the center of Earth. These trees are still standing, hard as stone. Petrified, if you will.
Fantastic beauty, well designed. Lots of stairs.
Gorgeous... we started at the top but wish we had started from the lower parking lot.
