Here you will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people like you who bought the services of Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park (Tourist Attraction) near Montana.
To this day this firm receives a score of 4.8 over 5 and the rating has been based on 985 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is almost the top, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the evaluation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to place tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of State park.
I have been to many caverns and am always amazed by their beauty, this was no exception. The park has done a wonderful job setting up different tours depending on your preference for length. Also the wild tour offers a bit more of a spelunking experience which I sadly missed. Carmen, our tour guide, was very wonderful and had such a joyous attitude to make the cave tour a pleasure. Would highly recommend.
Great trip we took the grandkids and they loved it as well
The park was well maintained and staffed. Our guide, Carmen, led us on an informing and entertaining tour of the caverns. We were told we might be waiting for 30+ mins for a tour but they got us into one in less than 15 minutes. The tour itself was incredible - but they're not joking about the amount of cramped walking and stooping required which may be uncomfortable for people even a little bit taller than average. Overall an excellent experience!
Great park, clean facilities, and caverhs were cool as ever
Great for hiking, mountain biking and visiting the Caverns (in season). Campground also available and close to fishing on the Jefferson River. My favorite place to trail run in Gallatin County.
Great tours with good crew! Nice improvements over the past 30 years, too.
This cavern system was unknown to me until a few days ago. It is small compared to Carlsbad Caverns but still takes two hours to traverse from the top main entrance to the bottom man made tunnel outlet. Full of cool speleothem formations: stalagtites, stalagmites, columns, flowstone, draperies, popcorn, sodastraws, and more. This complex has them all. The guide was great. My wife made the comment that unlike Carsbad, this cavern experience felt more interactive. We came within inches of baby bats and had to be extremely quiet so as not to disturb them. We had to duck and waddle through tight places, navigate steep acents and decents, sometimes while crouching, sometimes with no handrails. One place called the Beaver Slide you had to actuall slide on your tail through three steep decents of about 20 feet. But each passage came out into a large magnificent chamber. Well worth the trip and highly recommended.
Enjoyed the cave though being 6'6 kinda made it hard since i had to duck through 70 percent of the cave. Other than that a great experience 9/10 would maybe do again in the future.
One of my fav places! Our guide Travis was very committed to that particular job and was great.
Great for young and old, just make sure you can hike an incline to get to the entrance and also be able to squat and bend in some places es of the cavern
Was there in 1972 on a field trip. So happy to have been able to return.
I had not been there since I was little and it was still an amazing sight to see. The guides are great as well.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff and even better scenery! Definitely worth checking out!
It was a really beautiful cave. The tour guides gave very good information about the history of the caves
Clean campground and facilities with coin-operated showers (hot water). The guided tour of the caverns was informative, fun, and affordable. Got to stoop low to get through some tight spaces and get very close to a lot of the limestone formations. Careful not to touch anything! They'll inspect your hands for evidence of touching at the end of the tour!
Our tour guide was amazing. We enjoyed the entire tour.
Paved access, well maintained facilities and friendly staff.
One of the best experiences I have had in awhile. The short mile hike to the caverns was a great time to talk with the tour guide about the area. Once inside the caverns it's phenomenal. I would do this tour over and over again!
Very cool! We went on the Paradise Tour, which is about 20 mins in the cave and about one mile walk in all. We would have liked a longer tour, so we will be back for the 2 mile your next time. Highly recommend!
These caverns are a hidden gem in the Gallatin Valley. They are accessible by guided-tour only, but the beautiful cave formations are well worth the $12 ticket fee (and kids get in for even cheaper). Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable on both the history of the area and the science behind cave formations. The tour was also very accessible for people of all athletic ability. The majority of the tour was downhill through the caves, and involved only a few sections of couching to pass through low tunnels. Whether you're passing through the area or a lifelong resident, everyone should make a point to check out these amazing caves.
Off season hiking is great here as the snow accumulation is less and the melt is faster with south facing slopes. Lots of parking and exploration opportunities. The visitor center is also open even when the caverns are not.
This is a very interesting tour. Our guide was Jake and he is especially good with children. This is a must do activity!
Very cool cave experience in a beautiful area. Employees do a great job of balancing visitor enjoyment against cave preservation.
This place is truly captivating and magical. Most definitely worth the trip and price. I think that it was $12 for adults which isn't much at all for the experience of the Caverns. It is a little bit of a work out bending and stooping through the tight spots and the up hill walk to the mouth of the cave. I think that there was about 3 or 4 spots that you kinda have to squeeze through, but totally worth it, and I am 6 foot 240 and I was able to make it through. Be prepared to not pee for about 2.5 hours or so, and to be on your feet most of the time. The caves are spectacular.
Such a great place to visit with family and friends from others come see this place. Some areas are a little tight but I never felt trapped in or scared of going to be. Very safe place to visit and the tour guides are amazing! You will not regret this place. You do have a little bit of a walk in the first 30 mins but really nice after that, mostly down hill. Again amazing place.
This is an awesome adventure. They have all new handrails and lighting. Fabulous tour guides! There hike to the entrance is not for the weak at heart or the unhealthy.
The campground is phenomenal. I'd love to stay here every summer.
Had a blast myself and my son made it to decision rock where he decided he was done and wanted to go back mom made it all the way through
This was my first visit to the park and it won't be the last. The classic tour was an incredible experience, and our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great learning experience for all ages!
Great park if u can walk a bunch and in a shirt amount of time if not u only get to c 2 rooms not all the caverns
Easy to book online. Super nice camp host. Some electric sites. Shower house. Ranger was the least friendly we have met across the USA. Very close to the spectacular caverns.
Interesting tour, great and caring guides, beautiful destination.
Great place to camp. The caverns are a must see. The staff is courteous and helpful. Bring what you need, it's out of town a ways. Bring your hiking shoes.
Epic. Beautiful. Worth the 12 measly bucks to get in. Memorable. Dont drive thru with your fam without stopping in. RV accessible to the top. Only advisory, have good shoes, knees, and dont ruin the rest of the trip for everyone else in your small group by bringing a loud toddler. Dont be selfish.
Beautiful park with several trails throughout the area. Great views of the surrounding valley with a very nice visitors center and gift shop. Plenty of parking and reasonable prices for the guided tours. For those traveling with RV's/travel trailers, there is an area at the base of the mountain to drop off before climbing to the summit.
varey cool we especially love to see Bats
Beautiful formations I'm the caves. Be ready for a fairly strep walk if doing the 2 hour tour. You will also have to bend over times to get through some of the travel ways and even slide at one point. They have an easier tour that goes to the two main caverans and is on the level.
If you enjoy cave tours, this is a fun one. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Great for kids and adults alike.
This cave tour is always fun. I like how mindful they are of the bats in the cave and the preservation of growing rock formations. During the tour, the guide tells you about the history of the cave, the bats, and the rocks. The drive up to the cave is also beautiful, as is the hike to the cave entrance.
Very nice cave, lots to see. You do need to be able to stand, walk, and stoop for 2 hours if you do the classic hike. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. In addition to normal cave formations we also saw a number of bats hanging and even a few flying around in the cave. If you have dogs they offer free kennels; not sure on specifics as we didn't bring a dog. They also have front packs you can borrow if you have a baby.
Michelle was our guide and she was great about pointing out the 4 different kinds formations and interesting history of the Caverns. Thanks Michelle
So much fun and so beautiful! If you haven’t come here yet you should. Great day trip if you live close
Amazing place and amazing tour. Our tour guide Michelle was fantastic and so funny. Vielen Dank! (Thank you!)
Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park was supposed to be a quick overnight stay for us, but ended up being a spectacular surprise. So, at first we wanted to stay here for the showers and a rentable teepee for the night, but after a chilly stay at Yellowstone the night before we opted for a cabin instead. When we arrived at the park we didn't really know who to talk to since the Visitor Center by the road was closed, but we discovered that there is a very helpful park host who stays on the property. She provided us with helpful information and a key to a cabin. Later in the night we accidently locked ourselves out of our cabin and she was totally understanding about what happened and unlocked the cabin for us. As we stayed there we noticed how nice the property was. Everything was kept up well and the cabins, bathrooms, and showers were clean. FYI, bring cash because the showers cost $3 in quarters for a warranty on 6 minute shower. The next day we took a tour of the cavern and our guide Tom was amazing. I wouldn't recommend the longer tour (which we took) for anyone with physical ailments, but they do offer a shorter and far easier tour. Anyhow, like I said before, Tom was great. He was super knowledge and had great dad jokes for days making the trip all the more entertaining. In the end, we spent way more time here than we thought we would and really enjoyed our time here. FYI, you can earn a Montana Junior Ranger badge at this park. (We didn't even know this when we arrived there and we're on a journey to collect these).
The caves are amazing. Short hike to get to them, but well worth it.
Wish we could have gone on the longer tour, but the shorter one was great too. Our guide Michelle was great and personable with the kids. We really liked all the information too about how it all started and came about.
Guided tour of the caverns. Lots of picnic spots, nature trail, and campground. Highly recommend.
Great place to visit. Lots of walking. The hike up is quite difficult if you don't exercise. You need to be able to squat and go up and down stairs.
Carmen was a very good tour guide. I really enjoyed it.
Travis is amazing! We absolutely love how he engaged our 6 yo daughter!
We've been on many cave tours and this is by far the best!
Loved the tour with Audrey (sorry if mis spelled) Everything was AMAZING!!
The Classic Tour is a really nice adventure with impressive formations of stalagmites, stagagtites and other formations. Our tour guide, Hank was informative and entertaining with his subtle Montana sense of humor. The entire park is scenic and there are other hiking trails besides the cave tour if you choose to spend a day there.
Great experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and told funny/silly jokes. Go check it out and say hi to the bats!
Lovely place! I always like the dad jokes in the tour. It's beautiful and fun and a great way to spend an afternoon.
Great place to visit. It's quite a walk to the cave entrance, uphill, but it is worth the effort. The caves are amazing!
Definitely must see and do place. Make sure you were good socks and shoes for the hike up the mountain to go see the caves
Very interesting cave. You should be aware that there are places where you have to duck down or almost squat. If you can physically do the tour, do it.
Beautiful adventure for those who love cave tours!!
Amazing 2 hour tour. Great cave!
It's a 2 hour tour and has one tight area, but super cool sights. New tour every 30 minutes. Small cafe with fast food items. Priced based on convenience. And it's not convenient to bring food up here....fresh though. There are some nice trails around the Caverns, but NOT hiker/family hiker friendly. Bicyclists use both trails from the Cavern. Many parts of the trails are 9-12 inches wide with sharp drop off on one side and high mountain wall on other. Also, many switchbacks where you cannot see around the corner, if a bicycle is coming fast, 10 mph or faster, hiker loses. Also, when a bicyclist comes riding down, kids (in the lead) with poor decision skills in a scary moment can make bad decisions. Once there is a confrontation to pass or telling someone to slow down, it's no fun anymore. Park needs to post the bicycle signs at the trailheads so hikers know they are entering a bicycle trail. I made effort making sure the two trails from the campground to the caverns were hiker only trails. If you read the parks newsletter it discusses the bicycle rules, but are vague and misleading. Just know, hikers, these are bicycle trails with narrow to no way to pass trails. Unlike bicyclists, we don't hike with helmets and pads, (who are prepared for a crash), which means when my family has an incident, we are harmed. Bicyclists these are great trails for up and down. The switchback turns are burmed so if you are coming down hot you won't go flying off a corner. The views from the trails are amazing. Good luck.
An absolute must go, especially if you enjoy geologic history. The caves were incredibly, and the tour guide, Bryan (sp?), was very informative and engaging, even with his bad jokes
If you are from Montana and have never toured Lewis& Clark Caverns then you need to! If you are a tourist, it's a must see for you too! Be prepared though...you have to walk about 2 miles roundtrip alongside the mountain to the cave entrance. It can be very warm. Wear sunscreen and bring a sweatshirt for inside the caverns. And don't forget to go the the bathroom well before tour tour starts!
Easy to get to. Small hike to start. Excellent guided tour and walk through. Every picture can tell a story. Recommend to anyone I know going near the area. Quick detour off the interstate. Near at least 1.5 hrs for tour worth it.
Very cool place! Our tour guide, Jake was awesome! Highly recommend!
Went there 30 years ago and it was just as fun this time as last, had Travis's as our guide and for his first season did an amazing job guiding the tour. Be ready for a brisk climb with a time limit to get to the entrance of the cave but it's only about 1/2 mile and the caves are so worth it.
Definitely a must if in Montana. Was disappointed to find out it was a guided tour, but it was still very enjoyable and the tour guide was very informative. Only been in two caverns but this was the best one by far!
Extraordinary. Way different than other caves. Reasonable price. Great tour guide. Only downside is 3/4 mile hike uphill to get to the cave opening. It was hot and fairly difficult. However you can take the shorter 1 hour tour and skip the hike.
Wonderful experience. We stumbled upon it after researching what was in the area. The drive up was beautiful and the facilities were very nice and clean. The hike up to the cave entrance is a bit of a walk but they give you plenty of time to do it. Would recommend hydrating ahead of time. Once in the caves you are met with some very interesting history and beautiful rock formations. Would definitely recommend. Few hours out of your day and is very much worth it
so long story short our car stopped working halfway up the hill. A Park employee actually pick us up and drove us the rest of the way and was super sweet about it! Then figured out a way to get us a ride back down after our tour of the caverns! ♥️ Love it!
It is pretty cool but it would be nice to have more time to look at things. We also would not have minded less being talked at and a shorter tour. The information was simply stuff that we didn't need the long backgrounds story about. Great experience though!
Great tour, wife wanted to see it. Third time for the kids and I. Great weekend with friends in the campground.
amazing rock formations, lots of exercize, beautiful views, and lots of historic info.
Love the caverns! They recently redid the lighting and it looks great! The tour takes about 2 hours and is about 2 miles of walking. The path and walkways are well maintained. Our guide was really fun, and had the best puns and jokes!
I have visited this place many times..I felt like the tour guide didn't show some of the things like the lovers or one of Seven dwarfs..He was more into the fossils, which was cool but so was the other stuff..
We had a blast! Our guide Mack was funny and very knowledgeable. He definitely made it well worth it!
Amazing place, as my 5 and 7 yr olds absolutely loved it.
Great place, great guide. Highly recommended!
This is a great place. Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) has done a great job with the entire park. It's clean and kept. The tours are very educational and the staff are professional. Been there four times over the years and I will go again. It gets hot in the area, so the 48 degree cave is amazing after the uphill hike to get there.
The cave was amazing! It is well worth making the hike and taking the trip down the cave into an underworld of wonder.
Out tour guide Carmen was fantastic!! This was definitely an experience that everyone should do. The caverns were spectacular!
Very interesting facility with all the amenities.
Been here twice now and love it. Pretty amazing place!
Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. Beautiful.
Nothing like it in the world. Just listen.
Carmen the park ranger was a great host on our tour through the caverns. Even with the distance and time for the tour, the young kids really enjoyed the caverns. We will definitely be back again!
Drove by the place for years. Finally planned a stop. Amazing cave system. Quite the hike though for the best experiences. Be prepared to duck, waddle and crawl if your even sorta tall and some tight fits for big guys (like me) but well worth it.
This is a Most Must See when in Montana!!! Known as one of the great wonders in the world, the Caverns are awe inspiring, beautiful, historic and breathtaking! Well worth the price... Our guide,Carmen was so humorous, and very professional and knowledgeable-she is a fantastic guide!! An extra added convenience-at no cost-if you have a dog(s) with you, there is a kennel area for them.... I highly recommend seeing the Lewis & Clarke caverns while your in Montana.
Nice hike but wear bug spray.
We stayed one night in early June, 2019 on our way from Seattle,WA to Yellowstone National Park. We stayed in a tipi. The campsite was lovely with a great view and excellent fire pit. The next day we did the two-hour tour of the cave. It entailed a bit of a hike to the entrance (be sure to look for the natural entrance above you in the hillside as you climb the stairs near the end of the trail). The cave was far prettier than I expected (and I've seen a lot of caves), and the tour guide was pretty knowledgeable, sharing both geology and history along the tour. Most of the tour took place along built in walkways with handrails, and requires occasional ducking to avoid hitting your head, but one place required crouching down and scooting on your bottom. We did not have time to hike any of the trails in the park, but we did stop in the small visitor center, which has a mini mock cave for kids to see. There is also a concession stand and small gift shop.
Loved our tour. Hank was our guide and he did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. This is a must do if your in the area!
Staff is excellent. Very interesting place! We went on the smaller tour and they kindly offered a golf cart to take me to and from cave entrance. Well worth a visit.
My family had a great time and learned about the history of the caves. highly recommend.
The campground located at the base of the paved mountain road leading up to Lewis and Clark Cave is well maintained and spacious. Great spot if your goal is hiking the area and viewing the cave. The cave tour was unbelievably beautiful, our guide/park ranger was well educated on the cave and surrounding area. Great experience!
The hike was a lit bit for me, but truly worth the walk to the cave.
Very unique experience. Definitely worth a visit
Very unimpressed with our tour guide, Hank. Not very professional or personable. Very bad with kids. Not very understanding of people with children. The 1 hour tour, better suited for children, was not well marketed by Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park. That tour should be heavily emphasized for kids 5 and under. Especially during the bat nursing season so parents don't have to carry their kids up the mountain to just be turned around because a child was crying a bit.
It is amazing there it is so cool walking to the caverns and so cool in the caverns and the staff there are very nice especially the tour guide there very nice people. I also like you the guide demonstrates on how dark it was for Lewis and Clark when they were stuck in there. Super cool place
Caverns are very fun to explore, the guides are knowledgeable, and the views from the mountains are beautiful. Some athleticism is required to navigate the tight spaces of the cavern.
Hard start climb is steep but beautiful place
Interesting craving experience...loved it
really cool place, literally, its nice and cool in the caverns, tour guides are amazing and do answer any questions.
It was very enjoyable and our guide Heather was very knowledgeable. We may have to come for the 3 hour!
By far the largest cave/cavern I’ve been into yet. Tour guide was very good at explaining and telling the history along with silly jokes! Loved it! We also camped in the camping area next to it as well. It was all a great experience, good service and all around great experience.
Really cool cave complex... not to be missed if you are exiting west Yellowstone
Excellent place to explore and learn! We took our Junior Ranger (6yo) to explore and were not disappointed! Incredible caverns and fantastic guides! We were able to see so many formations and even enjoyed a trip down a “slide” (our favorite part)! It’s lots of walking and stairs but the views and adventure keep you from tiring! Great place to take the family!
Decent view of the cave even for the easy tour and beautiful location.
Always a fun stop with the family. It is an easy walk for kids, you really just need to be able to crouch down occasionally. The new lighting and hand rails make it much easier. The cave itself is awesome. Tons of cool formations.
Our guide through the caverns was Kiersten. She was an excellent guide. She was knowledgable, thorough and made us feel safe. The caverns are a must see!
The tour is so beautiful, the hike up to the cave entrance is breathtaking. The tours are for any ages, it's really great to see all ages come together and have fun, on that tour everyone looks out for one another, I've gone on it twice and everyone has been super friendly. The tour is commentated and the stories attract attention of all ages, each guide has different stories and little tid bits here and there, I can't wait to go back
We did the tour through the caves and it was amazing! Not to be missed!!
Awesome caverns, really cool scenery and along the Jefferson River!
Its a great cave and the staff does a great tour. Be warned that a bit of hiking (paved) is required to see the cave.
It's the best. The climb is well worth the historical and special place that it is!
Really interesting and cool (literally). A lot of stairs and several narrow passages so be prepared. Wear tennis shoes or sturdy shoes, some people took a lightweight sweater or jacket, but I didn't need one. Not good for small children as it is a lot of up and down plus no touching or climbing. I would think 7 years of age and up would enjoy. We had a blast, guide was very good. Once in a lifetime experience! Tours cost was about $12 a person, but check website to confirm.
A great guided cave tour. I did the 2 hour and 2 mile tour. It cost 12 dollars per adult and 6 dollars for the day pass at the state park. Worth every penny. You must be able to hike 3/4 mile up hill in under 30 minutes and duck or crawl through some tight spaces to do the 2 hour tour. If not, there is a less challenging 1 hour tour to see less cave for less money.
We loved our trip to the Lewis & Clark Caverns. We had such a fun time with our family. We have a young son and even he was able to do the caves with us. Highly recommend to families and individuals interested in an awesome experience to see all the amazing stalactites and stalagmites and other natural beauties. The view on the walk up to the cave is stunning. We did the 2 hour tour and can't wait to go back again!
Great cave tour. The walk in on the standard tour has a bit of an incline bit they give you plenty of time to do it. Crouching around in the cave isn't too bad. Kids will love it. One of the best beaver slides around.
We did the short tour and it was too short. Most of the short tour is the walk to and from. It's a nice walk, but not a cave.
Take the 2 hour tour it is not to difficult and well worth it. The 1 hour tour is just one room, worth it and fun but there is way more to see on the other tour. Regardless, you want to make this a stop on your visit to the area.
A nice cool break from a long hot drive. When you're returning west from Yellowstone, make sure you hit this spot. It's a fascinating dive into a hidden world that you'd otherwise drive right past. The guides make the trip worthwhile and they provide short route options for those who can't make the full tour. You'll need to be okay walking through some tight places while bent over. I'm a bigger guy but I was able to make it through.
We went on a tour through the caverns with Hank Fanning as our guide. He provided us with lots of information and humor. In short it was very fun and educational.
The standard tour is great, but be prepared to squat and bend a lot! Beautiful rock formations, and the rangers are very knowledgeable.
I have been on regular tour n this year camped n did wild cave tour with my daughter. Great experience. Word of caution...guide offered to carry our cell phones in a waterproof bag so we wouldn't have to worry about them but could still access for photos. My wide angle camera in phone got smashed. $100 to fix. Recommend Taking pics on regular tour but leave the phone home for wild cave tour. It is a truly awesome cave though.
The cave tour was really good, but they are not kidding about the physical nature of the tour. The walk up there is all up hill, then dozens of stairs down. Tight squeezes in some places. It was cold in the cave but felt really good after a hot August walk up to it. I didn't need a jacket and brought a backpack (bring water) with back up flashlight.
Fun and information! Be prepared to spend some time there, but it's worth it.
Very fun, the guide was interactive by asking us lots of questions to help us to learn new things about the cave system.
As good as when I was a kid. Great docent Hank. I don't think they warn people enough about kneeling way down and having to slide. Also it's a fair hike to the entrance. If you have problems kneeling down and walking at the same time, you might have a little trouble in some of the passages.
There are a few tour options. We took the longer of the two simple walking tours and it's about two hours of walking. There are uphill grades and stairs going up and down as well as some duck-walking and sliding. The Paradise tour is less walking but you see much less of the cave system. Great for kids and adults alike!
Beautiful caves with some fun history. The hike up to the cave entrance can be strenuous on some especially in the heat. The hike is worth it as inside the caves it all goes downhill and is a cool 48 degrees.
AMESOME! Michelle was our guide and did a great job!
Natural caverns older than plants, dinosaurs! Funntour guide. A must for fun-seekers of all ages!
Very cool to experience! Bigger individuals might have a harder time squeezing through the caves at some points but it is worth a try. The hike only takes about 15 minutes to the cave entrance and not a steep climb. The history is fun to learn and our guide (Carmen) was funny and knowledgeable.
Great experience. Worth the 12 dollars the tour cost. Guide was very knowledgeable and had great cave jokes. Will definitely be visiting again.
Camp ground great and quiet. Caves are awesome
The tour of the cave is wonderful and entertaining.
Always a great time
Always a great place to visit. The cave is interesting and beautiful. The gift shop has a bunch of fun stuff. The hiking is great too. We were here in the spring and took a loop hike where we got to see lush creek beds, pine forests, and best of all, bitterroots and cactus in bloom. We stayed in the campground, which was pleasant and quiet, not a lot of trees though, and attended a small concert in the amphitheatre. All in all, well worth a visit.
This place deserves 10 stars. The staff are amazing and the property well maintained. I've been here numerous times and I finally got to see the bats......happy dance:)
I visited a lot of caves this summer and this one was my favorite! It had all the different cave formations and huge rooms! Also saw bats, which was a first for me. The tour was 2 hours which was awesome, and had a fantastic tour guide who was very knowledgeable.
Great park with caverns and trails and a very nice RV campground
Really nice cave complex. Great tour guide!
It was nice to see it but there was not much to it. It could have been the tour we did but it didn't seem to be very big.
This is one of those stops I've been meaning to do and now that I've done it, I wish I would have done it sooner. The cave is fascinating and the tour guide, Heather, made it come alive in her excellent storytelling and vast knowledge and appreciation of the caverns.
The caves were pretty neat but our tour guide was horrible. He basically opened the doors to let us in and then it was a free for all. No info about the rooms and people just wandering around on their own. Not what I remember as a kid.
Great experience. Guide was nice. Just wish they hadn't rushed so many tours through so we could of enjoyed them a little more.
Stay here every June for Headwaters Country Jam Montana. Good campground.
Great experience and the cost was much lower than we expected. Camping available too.
My 7 and 9 year old boys loved this! Great family trip with lots of amazing sights.
Beautiful stagtites and stalagmites abound in this short stop over in MT.
I would give the campground 3 stars and the caverns 6 stars. The campground had very little shade, and was SO hot! Also, biting gnats were everywhere! It had showers, which you paid for with quarters. ($3.00 got you 6 min.) The shower was also a little more like someone put their thumb over a garden hose and sprayed you with it. The caverns were unbelievably cool, though and well worth it. The tour takes 2 hours and is amazing. (I loved their campy jokes on the tour as well.) The caves are really awesome, but you have to be physically fit to go on the tour I took. My wife's knee was hurting and that disqualified her. It was a bummer. It was an amazing cave.
Really cool. Great guide - Aubrey. Pretty good stroll to cavern entrance, need to be in better than average condition.
Had a great time with the kids. This is not an easy walk through if you're not terribly flexible or have bad knees due to some stairs and a lot of ducking and crouching.
This would get 5 stars from me if it weren't for the ablist [expletive] woman running the ticket booth. Our son is disabled and when I asked about discounts for people with disabilities (there aren't any), she offered the cart for people with physical disabilities. I told her we wouldn't need it because he wasn't disabled in that way. She responded that he "must not be that disabled then." I've never been so insulted. He is nonverbal and cannot speak up for himself, so we will do it for him! This employee shouldn't work with the public, just in case a disabled person without a wheelchair happens by her. We emailed a complaint and were given free tickets and a promise that the employees would receive sensitivity training, starting with this woman. Until I notice an improvement in their treatment of human beings disabilities, my rating will stay where it is.
My family came for a guided tour we really really enjoyed this. It will forever be remembered. Travis our guide was AWESOME. Super educational for my 10 year old. THANK YOU TRAVIS for the experience.
Words can't describe the experience you'll receive here spectacular
Amazing! I have been through twice and I have loved it both times. It's well cared for. The guides are friendly & knowledgeable. It's even suitable for kids. SO worth the stop!
