As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is virtually the top, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the evaluation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is classified in the category of Museum.
If you're interested in Blacksmithing the Mississippi Forge Council meets here on the 3rd Saturday of most months. Come by and get a close up look at how it's done.
Like the model trains The museum has a lot pf great things from Agriculture
A great place to take your family & just enjoy time together & to learn a little history. Love it.
Went here for a friend's wedding and reception was a nice and accommodating place.
Went there for the Easter egg hunt. There were lots of things to do for the kids after the Easter egg hunt they had face painting, a petting zoo, wagon ride. Has a great time.
A bit old and stuffy inside but it was cool, had a few train sets and a bunch of crop dusting airplanes.
A+ Lots of fun!
Very cool place! It's definitely worth the time and money! Inexpensive and lots to see!
Always a delightful experience. Love the Ag Museum. I am nearly 40 and my brother and I will end up racing or doing very childish things while here... Have many fun memories from our childhood here
Excellent place for family to enjoy different phases of Mississippi history in the past. Excellent staff very kind and helpful! Always interesting events to attend!
First ever Pickle Fest was great.
Fun and family-friendly Place always lots of things to do here can walk around and Explorer frequent events very cool
Lots of learning opportunities for kids and adults.
Lots of fun Ag stuff to learn about and the model train setup us amazing. Kids have a blast here ... Especially at the older outdoor replica/model town and general store. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Admission is perfectly reasonable as well. A great inclusion in the Museum District!
Really informative and the staff are knowledge and helpful.
Amazing. But lots of walking, not many cool spaces. Great during the cooker months.
I loved the scenery and bridge!!
Educational and Fun
Lots of stuff that's old, from crop dusters to sawmills. Seems like the staff wasn't really up to answering questions for a group of only five patrons...maybe if we'd been surrounded by 50 jostling unruly third graders the staff would've been happier to see us. Still, there wete some fairly well-curated areas. I imagine the trip is better in spring than it would be in the middle of summer.
Everyone needs a little homestyle cooking.
Pickle festival was well organized
Fun little museum, especially when you have the place to yourself and can explore freely. Would gladly return
Behave always loved this place, but something is different, just not the same
Beautiful space withholding tons of MS historical agricultural artifacts and preserved buildings. The staff are doing an excellent job taking care of this place. I will be back and will recommend to others.
Great place encompassed with facts of times past. You can attend cool events here from time to time also
My son enjoyed himself. His class went for a field trip.
My buddy had his wedding reception here. This place is awesome it comes with a real full kitchen. Perfect place. Outstanding
The staff were great! The exhibits were very educational, but fun.
Great museum with lots of fun information.
Lunch time stop for home cooking! Great food and good service
Fascinating museum with a unique focus. Fun stop.
Great history, has a few farm animals.
This is a wonderful place to take the family. We really enjoy it every time we go. It seems like their is something new to see everytime we go.
I loved the 5 dollar price first of all, next I loved the mini train set up that ran through the entire middle of the room. All the exhibits were historically informative and I even found a drag saw that someone donated from my hometown in MS! The old tools, tractors, and cars were neat to see. Plus the 1920s small town MS that they built up is super cool to walk through. Totally worth the hour or two it takes to walk through all of it.
really good museum, staff very welcoming and knowledgeable. price was very affordable.
We love the Ag museum. Always fun. The General Store is a must stop every trip. Ole Town is so cool too. The train and airplane exhibits are also some of our favorites.
My son loved the model train exhibit! It was difficult to pull n away from it to read about the history there. Seeing some of the restored homes and such outside was very interesting as well.
The museum is very educational and they have fun events throughout the year, our family goes 2-3 times yearly. We love it!
The museum Cafe is a good place for soul food
Great service. Friendly atmosphere.
Down home atmosphere with good country cooking.
A disappointment. It's been several years since I have eaten there and the quality has gone down.
We absolutely love it here and gave loved it for many years!
Amazing place to visit..will go again..love seeing all the antiques...
Wonderful place for a wedding
I enjoyed the first annual pickle fest!
Loved it cant wait to go again!!!!
Great job George.
Selfless army of volunteers patiently creating a learning environment that captures the attention of every age and stage.
Of all the things you can see in the area, no doubt your three year old will love the train sets at this location the best. Great outdoor installation with a running vintage cotton gin and a neat store. Uncle story is a really nice idea to get little ones interested in reading
Love it
Food was good service was fast the only problem was not enough tables for large parties
Must see attraction in MS. Great for tye family and hours of fun and learning.
Very interesting and staff was helpful.
We go EVERY year for the pumpkin patch. The children enjoy it such a great time!
We did not plan enough time here. We will have to back sometime
Wonderful food and fantastic service.
Had fun picking veggies and train ride
It was a got day but i enjoyed myself
Homey. Good country food.
Kids really enjoy this journey back in time. The train set attraction is a must see, also check out the country store. Fun memories made here!
Very nice place for family. If you like model trains, they have huge working displays in museum
All and all we had a fun day. Myself, wife and our four children enjoyed strolling around and looking at all the old buildings. There were some interesting highlights and the kids enjoyed themselves. There's nothing flashy here and it was low key. I would say your typical teenager wouldn't necessarily enjoy themselves here......unless they have an affinity for tractors and old buildings.
It's fast. The waitresses are sweet. The food is meh. The cooks and servers are friendly. It ain't gourmet. It ain't even piccadilly. But it can be fun.
I was small and kinda boring
Good buffet. Good price.
I love the MS Ag and Forestry Museum Restaurant...great meat and 2
More than I expected. Recommend.
Great plate lunches. I've known the owner for several years. Great staff!
Had a nice time at the museum with the kids. Early March is a bit cool and the garden was not at its full potential, but it'll be great in a month or so. We hope that the museum is able to bring back the farm animal experience soon. So many kids don't get that experience unless it's through an organization like the Ag Museum and it's important for them to have that. We're still sad about the Museum's loss due to the fire, but hopeful that the farm animals will be back in the future. The Print shop is a fun learning experience for kids and they love shopping at the General Store. The Aviation exhibit is very cool and this museum is kept up well. The Masonic Lodge is interesting to me because many of the men in my family are Masons.
Great place to take the family.
Awesome place, had a good visit
Great people and a wonderful place for families that preserves a time and way if life when it was less hectic. When we took time for each other.
Awesome place!
Great staff! We enjoyed our visit.
Best Wedding and Events spot ever
Allways good country comfort food .
This museum is worth a visit, especially if your with the kids! It has a very interesting intro and explanation of the tools, lifestyles, evolutions of the American Ag & Forestry industry that existed in Mississippi and throughout the south. It has a large... very large, functioning model train collection that has been built to reflect the era of the booming agricultural and forestry industry. That alone will have you and your kids intrigued following the whole model throughout the interior of the main museum building. Interestingly enough the museum has built a full size village next to the museum that one can walk through and actually interact with some of the town buildings such as the "general store" that you can actually walk into and buy items that reflect pieces of that era!
Great place to explore
Wonderful place. It is very well ran too.
Good museum but out building sort of sad..
There was nothing to do for the children. They ride on the hayride and got milk and cookie. That was the best part of the trip.
Great place for all occasions
Nice place for the kids to just run around, with a lot of good Mississippi history to boot.
Great place for the whole family!
They have a country store, blacksmith stable, a petting zoo. They also have a lot of old buildings to look at like a dentist office, a veterinary, eye doctor. there is a train to ride to see all the sites. There also the museum and a aircraft museum. It is next door to The Ms Sports Hall of Fame.
Went with a field trip and had a blast
Wonderful museum with the history of modern agriculture with lots of beautiful artifacts.
Great fun.
Had a hour to kill while my husband ran an errand. We passed this place on the highway and it looked like a wonderful outdoor area to walk with my dog. The place was empty when he dropped me off until I was greeted by a young man who introduced himself as the general manager and informed me that no dogs are allowed on the property. I explained that I had not seen a single sign posted about this policy. His response was we are working on that. How about working on making your outdoor areas more updated to accommodate pets and allowing well behaved dogs on a leash? I have a hunch you could improve attendance.
Excellent, clean, great staff, wonderful breakfast, recommend
Great place to spend quality time the kids.
Beautiful place and the man that watched over us was very nice.
Loved this.. even being from the county it was very informative
Fun and entertaining place to visit. Excellent food too. Great place to take children.
Do stop in for so history
Beautifuñ place to visit
Awesome how cooking buffet
Oh my gawd. They don't mention slavery at all. Go to the Civil Rights Museum
Very good price for what you get.
Good place to spend two hours. Very Old Equipment's used for Farming and other agricultural activities are displayed.
Excellent experience! The staff was so knowledgeable of specific details about the exibits which made our visit extra special. Looking forward to a future visit in the fall!
A little outdated and simple but friendly staff & cool rustic bathrooms.
This place is pretty cool, I think it’s a shift from most standard museums. It seems a little run down, like in the cotton mill and such but it’s still pretty cool. I guess I just liked the atmosphere here. We went on a really nice day, no rain and it wasn’t very hot, it was kinda chilly. It’s a lot of walking so bring some tennis shoes!
Walk through the history of Mississippi's agricultural industry! This is a great low-key adventure in the heart of Jackson. Get old school drinks & candies at the General Store.
Great family place, something for everyone. See how things were done in years past. Take a walk in old town and stop at the store and have a cool drink. This is a wonderful place for the kids.
I love going here. It lets you see all the amazing things of our history.
A fabulous compendium that brings rural life from the long-distant to life. A must see.
Great field trip!
Great place for groups and families. Easy to get to. Lots of parking.
It was pretty good. friendly
Had our manager meeting there, awesome event...
It's gorgeous here. We had an amazing time at my niece's graduation there.
There are a lot of nice things about this museum. There are the nice model train tracks. There are the plethora of equipment from vehicles to simple tools, many with nice details. Dates would be a nice bonus with some of the life sized dioramas. Outside there is a functioning general store. There are many recreated buildings from mule sheds to barns and mills. Overall for the admission fee it is well worth the price for the whole family.
This place was great!!! But they do need to incorporate more Blacks into their exhibits. To look at this you would think that Black ppl didn't hit the planet until the 70s
So many cool and interesting things to see and learn
Good place to throw a wedding and it has a lot of space for whatever u want
Interesting stop. Not too expensive. Next to a sports museum. Seems like there's a lot of community stuff happening there. Lots of model train stuff inside.
So much fun and history here. Loved the model trains, airplanes, nature trail, historic buildings, and so much more!
Great place to wander around and see old tractors, buildings, and more. The Fitzgerald collection (medium sized building on the right) was full of arrow heads and great antiques. One of the best buildings in the whole complex. They had a cotton gin that is said to be the oldest operating cotton gin in the country. Plus, they have a general store. Drinks were expensive but the guy at the counter was really nice and made sure to tell us about some of the interesting buildings that others typically miss. Overall a great place to visit
Nice asset for the state of Mississippi.Low use so easy to get through exhibits.
. Beautiful place with historical pic
Nice little hidden food spot here. Buffet style home cooking.
Spacious. Great time. JH.
A lot of really interesting stuff but no people to explain or show. Just signs. Would have been nice to have black smiths blacksmithing or printers printing etc.
On a field trip here now with my 5th graders great place to be
Love this place. It’s fun for the whole family.
Need more stuff for $8.00
When I was in the 2nd grade, I attended Davis Magnet. One of the first sets of blacks to go to the school. We wanted to go to the AG Museum. We got in the bus to go. They turned us around and made us look stupid. I wouldn't go to an event here if it was the last place. If it was like that then, it's like that today.... forget this place. Whites only.
It's where I were born
A very cool place to visit. If you are into old tools and history, this is the spot. They also have a really cool model train area.
Had so much fun at the Pickle Fest! Was a lil hot but found a HUGE Smith county Watermelon for $10 ! #LoveWatermelonintheSummer
We went for the first ever pickle festival in Mississippi. This was a joke. Only one place to get a pickle. Or you could buy a single pickle that was store bought. Not pickles that had been canned homemade! Unbelievable! So disappointed! It was a waste of time and money!
I was here for a beekeeping class. The class was wonderful. We were able to walk through the small "town" from the past going to the beehives. Be ready for a lot of walking. There are places to sit and take a break every where. The old car museum was excellent. A nice side trip to break the monotony of a long car ride.
This is an outstanding museum. Loved the big cotton gin.
Family liked the museum. Had alot to do. Kinda was surprised at all of the stuff.
Wonderful place to visit!!!
A great opportunity to touch a piece of MS history and get a snapshot of rural Americana
Very interested
It is an awesome pleace to visit for a museum. Everybody needs to visit. You would really enjoy it. They have *1*an old jail, *2*a post office, *3*a General Store that will make you a kidal again, *4*a Masonic Lodge(that is also available to rent)*5*a neat chapel that you can also get married in. Just to name a few of the things. It is on Lakeland Drive in Jackson MS right off of I-55 North.
This is a museum dedicated to Mississippi's first and oldest traditions agriculture forestry and small town living. Though it may sound boring they honestly have managed to bring a host of interesting exhibits together. Outdoors they have a nature trail and a whole small town from backward in time that they moved to the museum with a long list that have been turned into realistic open attractions such as a general store which is fully stocked and still carries some items in their old packaging as they were back in the day a church a blacksmiths workstation and many other things. They used to have a petting zoo if I recall correctly showing off some of the animal helpers but im not sure if they still do. Inside they have many relics from the bygone age of agriculture such as tractors shacks fully lit planes a small town model complete with working train set and many other things. Right nearby also on pretty much on the same lot is the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame. So if you're in town visiting you can catch two museums. And not to far away have your choice of three different shopping malls and multiple eating places. All in all a great trip.
Always good food and great service
Great place for kids
Hey everyone. Yesterday we the TylerTown, Ms group had a great time at the museum, I had a great learning experience. I personally think that all schools with an Ag and Natural resources class, or FFA team need to visit the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum. Thank ya'll for the great learning experience, all who worked yesterday May 10, 2018.
Definately one of my favorite places I visited lately.
Enjoyed going thru the museum
